Chief Keef Listeners Can’t Decide If He’s Getting Old—& It’s Tearing His Fanbase Apart

Chief Keef

We still Love Sosa even if he is getting old.

Chief Keef is either Benjamin Button himself or the average, aging young adult. His fanbase appears to be split down the middle over his maturation. Over the weekend, a viral tweet appeared to part the seas on Twitter after a user shared what appeared to be a recent photo of Keef with a full beard and a caption suggesting he’s aging right before our eyes.

“Damn, chief keef finally gettin to that age where he’s old now,” the user wrote in the tweet.

By January 21, just two days after the tweet was shared, it had already attracted more than 3.8 million views and thousands of interactions. And the range of reactions varied from disbelief, as users questioned, “This Sosa fr?” while others wrote, “28 is not old lol.”

There were also those logically, slightly irresponsible constructive remarks from users, including one individual who commented on the mortality of the new generation of rappers.

“These n####s die to early now days they think Chief Keef is old,” they wrote.

“Being that’s he’s from the South Side and O-block, that’s old. Not many make it to 21, let alone their late 20’s. He’s officially old / OG status. IYKYK,” another user remarked.

Then there were the users who took things very literally, as one individual pointed out, “I think it’s the glasses them s#### is making him look 10 years older lmao.”

Pretty soon, the blogs started getting involved and pointed out several rappers who are either the same age as Chief Keef or older, including Denzel Curry (28), Lil Uzi Vert (28), Don Toliver (29), Lil Baby (29), and 21 Savage (31), among others.
