Here’s the part that got me. The Hulkster died on the same date—10 years to the day—that audio surfaced of him using the N-word repeatedly. He was caught demeaning his daughter’s then-boyfriend, who was Black. God don’t like ugly.

The comments were flat out racist. “I mean, I’d rather if she was going to f*** some n####r, I’d rather have her marry an 8-foot tall n####r worth a hundred million dollars,” he said. He said much more than that. Disgusting.
The WWE quickly cut ties. Sponsors disappeared. We never forgot and never forgave. He could’ve apologized. He could’ve tried redemption. Instead, he doubled down, backed Trump and did nothing to repair the relationship we had with him.
Yup, Hogan never issued a sincere public apology. Just silence. To some, his refusal to grow was like a slap in the face. He stood on business and that business was anti-Black and racist.
