After months of legal jockeying and counter-lawsuits, mogul 50 Cent and ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins have finalized a settlement over custody of their 11 year old son Marquise.The deal was achieved yesterday (October 22) in Suffolk County Family Court in Central Islip, NY.Under the new terms, 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, will receive one weekend per month with his son. In addition, the rap star will retain his child for one month in the summer and half of his spring and winter breaks.Tompkins will maintain primary custody during the rest of the year.According to legal representatives from both camps, Jackson and Tompkins are said to be satisfied with the terms and hope to move forward in working together to raise their son.Other legal matters are yet to be closed, as Tompkins and 50 are still embroiled in an arson investigation involving the destruction of Jacksons Dix Hill, Long Island mansion.A second deal was also completed this week by 50, but this time through the video game industry.Initially rumored to be canceled, game publisher THQ has picked up the rights to produce 50 Cent: Blood in the Sand, the sequel to 2006s 50 Cent: Bulletproof.At press time THQ has yet to make a formal announcement, or verify whether the game will keep its tentative November 28 release date or its playable character list of Tony Yayo, Lloyd Banks, and DJ Whoo Kid.The upcoming game will be available for the Playstation 3 and X-Box 360 consoles.
