Rapper Juelz Santana has responded to recent comments that former group member Camron made in regards to a potential Dipset reunion.
Juelz appeared on AllHipHop.coms Eric B. and Friends morning show yesterday (November 18), where he addressed Camrons most recent statements claiming that Dipset was over.”
While the prospects of a reunion between estranged group members like Jim Jones, Hell Rell and Freaky Zeeky are slim, Juelz remained somewhat optimistic, despite Camrons refusal to do business with his former allies.
According to a Juelz, the root of the dispute is centered around a bad business deal with Diplomat Records, which was run by Cam. The label released Juelz first two albums From Me to U (2003) and What the Game’s Been Missing! (2005).
“I would love to do it,” Santana told AllHipHop.com. “If you really look me and Jim [Jones] been shouting out the Byrd. Despite the situation with Cam and despite Cam getting on radio interviews saying oh I will never do nothing with them again. My whole thing for not being next to Cam at this moment was cause we had a bad business situation I didnt understand how I person that I thought was my brother could put me in a situation like that, even though I respect the situation just by putting me in the game, Ill never take that away, but I couldnt just stand there and just be a fool no more.”
Despite Cams statements that Dipset is finished, the Harlem native recently launched Dipset West, with his former group members.
I put a lot of bricks in that building, Juelz stated. So my work was more than put in, so even if you can say you brought me to the game, well guess what, I gave you everything for brining me to the game. I helped build that Diplomat building to the top floor. When you think of Dipset I’ll always be in your brain. If Cam feels like for whatever reason he is too big to get over whatever happened, or hes too stubborn or whatever the case may be, so be it. At the end of the day, I am comfortable. I can look in the mirror.
As for Juelz Santana is not wasting any time moving his career forward, with several mixtapes planned, in addition to releases by his group Skull Gang and his own solo album, Born to Lose, Built To Win.
Santana recently shot a video in Los Angeles for the single “Homerun” with chart topping New Orleans rapper Lil Wayne which will be featured on the album.
So far, featured artists on Juelz’ third studio album include Chrisette Michelle, Chris Brown and others. video platformvideo managementvideo solutionsfree video player
