Floyd Mayweather Announces Date Of His Last Fight Ever

(AllHipHop News) One of the most illustrious and flawless professional boxing careers of all time has an end date. At a recent gala dinner in South Africa last night(January 17th), Floy Mayweather is reported to have said “September 2015” will be the date of his final fight.

Unfortunately Associated Press‘ report might have decreased the chances of the showdown with Manny Pacquio that has been anticipated for years. This past Wednesday (January 15th), Mayweather stated that Britain’s Amir Khan and Argentina’s Marcos Maidana are the two contenders for possible opponents in his May 3rd fight in Las Vegas.

Floyd Mayweather started his professional boxing career in 1996 and is a perfect 45-0 with 26 knockouts.

Literally watching greatness. I’ve seen every fight and have been a fan since 98. Living legend.

  • Immortal

    umm ok….

  • What legacy is he leaving behind, I wonder. Would he be known for the great boxer he is or would he be known for chickening out of potentially the biggest fight of his career?

  • JeremyAn2

Might be the first boxer ever to retire from the sport with money in his pocket.

    • Sparky Flinstone

Mike Tyson still worth $20 Million maybe he blew over $200 mil but u can do ok with 20 M’s — can’t forget Sugar Ray, Roy Jones Jr, and several others that retired with millions of dollars so your facts are a bit off

      • Dadon850

Mike Tyson ain’t worth 20 mil. You must be snorting the same stuff he on. Tyson broke and worse than that, owe the IRS.

      • cromthelaughinggod7

These niggas are jokes man word. They go by what they think not the real reality of things. Kind of like believing in the tooth fairy. You can’t argue with them some have common sense to look it up.

      • Sean Taylor

Oh yeah, Tyson has $20 million huh. Maybe someone should tell him that then.

      • cromthelaughinggod7

Mike Tyson present networth is listed at 1 million dollars. Please look it up. You can see it for yourself. He was sued several times. He didn’t get millions to appear in hangover etc. They gave him reportedly 200k both times which is not bad. He was the lowest paid out of the entire cast of the hangover He isn’t getting million dollar invites to appear places.

      • Knickfan4life

That site is bogus mike Tyson has made so much money from that book and movie and reality tv show he has and that one man play.

      • cromthelaughinggod7

Forbes site is bogus? Really they get accurate info. Also you can see how much Tyson got paid because it was mentioned by the movie industry. I wish I could put the link up on here. Mike Tyson only made 200 k or 200 thousand per movie man. It is not something I am making up that is what they paid him. He wasn’t the star of the movie he only had a cameo appearance. He was the least paid. Just look it up I am not lying. Tyson is not making millions like that anymore. Why do you think he had a cameo appearance or he wanted to fight ufc and at one point of time wanted to do porn. He is desperate for money.

      • Knickfan4life

The last time I saw his networth a 1 million was on celebrity networth ,he has done so much more and signed a lot of deals he signed that 10 million dollar deal I do know and he has a reality show on fox. I ran he has no where near the 300 million he made but he is accumulating wealth again.

      • Knickfan4life

        That book deal and play.

  • Guest

    Whatever

  • brotha_man

benard hopkins, sugar shane mosley, and Angel manfredy are prob my fave boxers but Money is almost up there…..Iron Mike still the man tho

    • Eli Pinilla

      B hop is the man….

  • Man his one fight a year a$$. No doubt bruh is that truth but I would loved to see what he was really made of if he woulda fought the best of the best in his different weight classes while his competition were in their primes..since he ain’t ever gon fight Paq I could care less, I think the maidana fight would be ok I guess, plus he can avenge the death of Adrian broner….lol his clone got that a$$ murked.

    • Sparky Flinstone

I like Mayweather but agree! He retired to avoid fighting an undefeated and DANGEROUS Miguel Cotto, he never gave Paul Williams a fight who was top 3 in the world then Paul got dropped by Martinez an the got paralyzed in a bike accident, Floyd ducked Shane for a good 7 years, definitely 5, why the Pac Man fight NEVER happened is suspect, he wouldn’t even fight Martinez who was old…. Judah has always played it super safe and as a fan of boxing and a fan of sports competition MUCH was to be desired when it comes to Floyd. I give him respect for his business smarts and athletic accomplishments, he stays in great condition BUT the game is about adversity and competition and he has been very slick in avoiding the most dangerous competition but talks the MOST shit — but his 24-7 shows be very entertaining more entertaining than his fights and that’s the part that sucks!

      • cromthelaughinggod7

Um Floyd beat Miguel Cotto! Cotto What planet do you live on! Miguel cotto is 38 wins with 4 losses. He is not undefeated. You don’t watch boxing I can tell.

      • Sean Taylor

I can see you can’t comprehend worth shit!

He meant when Cotto was UNDEFEATED IE: back in the early / mid 2000s.

      • cromthelaughinggod7

He didn’t type in as in the past. He typed it in present form so how did I not comprehend shit. I will retype it for you. His exact words. “He retired to avoid fighting an undefeated and DANGEROUS Miguel Cotto.” Tell me in that sentence where is speaks of past and not present. Maybe his grammar skills should have been modified to say it correctly. He hasn’t retired yet number one he should have said he is retiring. Miguel is not undefeated presently. I am sure if he meant it in the past then he would have wrote it correctly right? Am I right. Help him out homie!

      • DJ7

You got a few misconceptions going on in your post B….
        1. he “retired” due to hand problems…needed time for them to heal properly
        2. Paul Williams…well…you saw what happened to Paul…not saying Floyd would have knocked him out b.u.t. I highly doubt Paul would have been effective against Money
        3. Floyd NEVER ducked Shane Mosley…different weight classes @ the time and when Floyd reached Mosley’s weight, it was Mosley doing the ducking…do the research
        4. Pac Man….here we go with the bullsh*t…if anybody “truly” wanna know the science behind this bout never materializing would do the research…it’s documented on just about every boxing site
        5. Where did you get the info on Floyd not wanting to fight Martinez other than from the opinions hurled by Mayweather detractors?
        6. Floyd has fought every champion in every weight division he’s been in, so to say he avoids competition is absurd to say the least…
The fact that he makes average fighters look novice and good/great fighters look average perplexes people who pray on his downfall….no matters who this man fights and defeats, there’s always someone else his haters want him to go against…When will it end? September 2015 obviously b.u.t. In true hater fashion long after he’s hung up the gloves, they will still say he ducked so and so or he left the sport to avoid that guy…man just give props where it’s due and appreciate greatness while we still witness it…

      • I have never been a hater of Floyd and always thought he was good, I always wanted to see how good the guy actually was but there were more than a few occasions where he coulda fought the best in the division and didn’t. He is a smart picker and chooser and he chases the bread first but just off the top of my head, just so you know I watch boxing these would have been tough match ups 4 Floyd while these guys were in their primes…Kostya tszyu, Winky wright, tito Trinidad, Oscar DLH, Sugar Shane, maybe Vernon forest, young Manny, I still think he would have won but maybe a primed Cotto would have been a better match. No doubt he could have maybe beat my list but it would have been a hell of a task to stay undefeated if my list was fought while Floyd and these guys were still young, they would have either gave Floyd problems or we would have seen how masterful dude really is, when Paul Williams was coming up also it would have been a good matchup because of Paul’s pure size and volume of punches plus reach. Yea Paul got beat but I think he woulda been a problem, that’s why no one wanted to even fight him. Who knows what would have happened, but I don’t think he would have stumped thru my list unscathed in these guys prime.

      • DJ7

Prime….everybody says prime as if after a fighter takes an L they’re no longer in their prime…A shot fighter is a whole other arguement…everybody ages fam so to say that if they fought when they were younger I’d counter that with, same results would have happened then as they unfolded when they did IMO…exciting to see…agreed b.u.t. his team is smart and knew how to get the most mileage out of his career…I also hear that if Floyd fought a young Manny excuse a lot too…Floyd is older than Manny so….you know the rest. I see a cpl guys on your list as being a lil far fetched as when they were in their so called “prime” they were in different weight classes and ppv wasn’t an incentive to make those types of fights happen back then not to mention that Bob Arum was his promoter….Bob Arum….nuff said on that…
overall I see you have some boxing knowledge and can appreciate where you’re coming from versus cats that talk nonsense because they don’t like Money May

      • I can dig it….

      • Blackshues

I don’t think Paul would have been much competition. Even though Mayweather is still the best boxer in the sport right now, he is actually not in his prime. But when he was younger and in his prime, he fought every big name fighter of the day, and completely slaughtered them…I’m talking the greatest fighters in the world at the time. Including guys with a considerable size difference over Mayweahter like Demarcus “chop chop” Corley and Diego Coralles, RIP. Mayweather has never had problems fighting the bigger guy, so I don’t believe Paul Williams(who isn’t the caliber of fighter some of Mayweather’s past guys were) would be a factor actually.

      • Really?

DJ7, best post on here. Only thing I would add is the obvious Bob Arum preventing Floyd from fighting a lot of top contenders causing Floyd to buy out his contract with Arum.

khan has no chin and might get slept..maidana would land maybe 8 punches through 12 rounds and lose a unanimous decision

    • Charismatic eNegro Jef Vinson

He’s popular in England and will pull the PPV numbers.

      • Dhz30

oh no doubt both those fights will do numbers..khan with that uk following and Maidana coming off an impressive W against Broner

      • But which one of us in the room has any doubt that Floyd wouldn’t win either of those fights hands down? Floyd know what everybody wanna see man….

If Floyd don’t fight Pacquiao then his legacy ain’t complete. People will always blame him for the fight not happening. He’s rich but people will always question him.

    • Da Real MoSotho

stop talking nonsense, Floyd requested a number of conditions . Manny is the one that needs scrutiny, he refused the conditions for the fight, not Floyd

      • Dadon850

Who the hell is Floyd to ask for anything?? He’s a boxer, get your azz in the ring!! Soon as Manny agree to one thing, then the conditions change. Floyd never wanted to fight Manny.

      • Str8 up when manny was eating opponents for lunch he had just as much pull and star power as money may, so my thing is what make Money think he the only one that can call shots when he wasn’t the only baller on the block? He asked for so many outrageous conditions that he has never ever asked for in any of his previous fights, then when dude say he down to fight and accept your conditions, you wanna throw some other bs on the table. That makes me think he scared of that Asian warrior, manny never tested positive for drugs so why the hell u asking the man for Olympic style testing and s*** when no other boxer in the history of boxing has ever gone thru those conditions you tried to set forth! something is definitely shaky about that. I say bruh was just buying time hoping paqman would get older and older…they shoulda been fought and now the fans starting to not give a F. I don’t wanna see no damn mayweather vs Alvarez or Guerrero or whoever else that we know he will out match… Get in there and fight a challenger.

      • Read what I wrote to dadon850, mayweather camp been picking and choosing his fights his whole career there were plenty people Floyd shoulda fought while they were in their primes, u ain’t ever heard of paqman being a ducker now have you? Keep it a hunnit after reading my post.

  • e.b.

Floyd looks smoother and younger with the go-t shaved off

  • e.b.

I like the way floyd talk shit before the fight.floyd has his contenders shook before the fight.

  • W.E.B. Du Bois

NO PROPS – maywheather made his money – but he DODGED Paceio – so dispite his record he is NOT great – ALL the greats of ANY weight – boxed ALL the top contenders of their time – ALL of them – that’s the ONLY way to defind Boxing’s Greats

    • $11625525

By your analogy, the same would apply to Pacquiao then, right? As he hasn’t fought Floyd either. The fight will happen, everyone who follows boxing knows that, so long as Manny doesn’t lose (so convincingly) again, it is in the interest of both Boxer’s bank accounts that it does happen. Either that or floyd will Retire then and, possibly, ask for stupid money for a one off PPV only comeback fight, in Dubai or somewhere like that, where he can make more money than you could Sheikh a stick at 😀

      • Paq ain’t ever dodged nobody though bruh, he always fought the top of the division in all 8 weight classes he has won in…what makes you think he would dodge money may? Man we gon be old men and they gon be old men by the time this fight would ever happen and we ain’t gon give 2 f***s by then. This was the fight of the century for me man and the way they not getn it done has made me sooooo over it….

      • Liketohateus

That’s why he got knocked he never dodges lmao

      • Manny and Floyd are my doggs and all bruh but that was funny……

      • $11625525

I wasn’t suggesting he dodged Mayweather, I was simply saying that; if Floyd cannot be considered great if he didn’t fight all of the top contenders, then the same could apply Pacquiao (using his analogy).

Anyway, the fight will happen, I have no doubt about it, unless Manny loses convincingly, by stoppage, again.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

Pleeeese – Your Wrong – Pacieo did Not dodge maywheater – whatever maywheather complained about in negotiations, Pac Man Gave him, then maywheater would change to another complaint , etc –

      • Knickfan4life

Have to at least be in the ball park on the mans name.lol I screw it up sometimes and miss the e , but damn you came up with a new name.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

its too long lol – like dat long wait till Pacieo’s past his prime

      • $11625525

See my reply above, I was not suggesting he dodged him.

    • Stick to what you do know, like being a c*ck sucking Negropean. May didn’t dodge Pac, he stepped over him when he was KO’d on the floor.

Mayweather cleaned out every division & beat more undefeated fighters than PacMan,

PacMan has been put to sleep a few times, as usual, you sucking on the wrong man’s 4-9-3-11.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

as usual – you said nothing and proved your stupidity ( we don’t want no more of your proof, its repetitive) – stepping over him? – that’s just stupid – My same comment unchanged – Maywheather can never be great – because he dodged Paceio – eliminating himself from the definition of Boxing’s Greats

      • Corrales, Hatton, Hernandez, Marquez, De Lahoya, Mosely, Cotto, Canelo, etc.

Mayweather has already beaten great fighters, you riding Pac’s nutz won’t change that.

It’s obvious you are a Pac Stan that doesn’t know ‘chet about boxing.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

naming all dem don’t change ducking Paceio dummy – just a feeble attempt at distracting

  • Blaq_Boi

Manny will be his biggest paycheck so best believe he will fight him. What I see him doing is “coming out of retirement” for one last fight, THE fight. With Manny. So not only will there be hype for just the fight itself, there’ll be the coming out of retirement thing hype. More money.

    • We as fans ain’t gon care by then because they both will be 60 yrs old by then….Floyd know he shoulda been fought bruh, he with that fading niggaz once they over the hill s***. Don’t get me wrong I like him but his career has always been like that..

      • Liketohateus

How old is PACman and how old is may? ..

      • May 36 manny is 35 but they coulda have fought a very long time ago….I ain’t tryna see em fight at 40 yrs old.

      • Liketohateus

Marquez was 40 when he beat PACman though

    • Knickfan4life

He just made 200 million on his last fight

  • i’mreloaded!

Mayweather tryin to catch Pac Man when he not in his prime. Scary azz nicca. Mayweather woulda got Glass Joe’d! LOL!

    • He do seem a lil shook considering all them damn ludicrous demands he was asking that man to go thru…no boxer ever in the history of boxing has ever put that many demands on any one fight. Olympic style drug testing? Name another boxer in history that has made such a request? He been picking and choosing his whole career bro, I actually like money but he missed quite a few guys on his road to glory. He waited til they were 60 and ish..imagine if a young sugar Shane woulda rocked his ass in the second round and still had enough gas to finish him off. You know what time it would be bruh coulda fought Kostya tszyu, sugar Shane, Oscar DLH, manny, Tito Trinidad, Paul Williams (nobody wanted to fight him tho so he moved up in weight and got ko’d) Winky wright and plenty others that he coulda got in their primes but he played the waiting game. Funny thing is he prolly coulda beat em all but I can almost guarantee he woulda caught at least an L or two maybe maybe not cuz we will never know.

      • Really?

Floyd was trying to fight Oscar, and Shane in their prime but you know why it didn’t happen? Because he was under contract with Bob Arum and Arum wouldn’t set up those fights because he thought Floyd couldn’t bring the ppv sales. Therefore Floyd buys out his contract with Arum to get the Oscar and Shane fight. Why do you think Floyd hates Arum to this day? smh

Also other boxers in history did not get as much money and not as much promotion was put into their fights. In other words it was a lot easier to make fights back in the day. You didn’t have promoters getting in the way. A lot goes into making a fight these days. As you saw with Cotto as soon as he got out of Top Rank with Arum the fight between him and Floyd happened immediately. As long as pac is with Arum the fight won’t happen.

Also kind of funny that pac has tax problems and now he is willing to do anything to get a Floyd fight.

      • Immortal

I would agree with your statement except that back in the day, boxing was where it was at. You had major fighters bring in major money. But Don King was all over boxing like white on rice and had it on lock. After Don’s fall from grace, not that I think it was him solely, but outside of Mayweather boxing isn’t the money draw it once was, and there isn’t any competition that’s real in the heavyweight ranks. Just my opinion.

      • Knickfan4life

Olympic blood testing is nothing if you have nothing to hide.

      • Name another boxer that had to go thru it without being in the Olympics

      • i’mreloaded!

Dat’s all I was tryin to say. Nobody tryin to take nothing away from Floyd, but he was called out so many times by Pac Man and he ran. Professional sports is about competition, and I’ll be damned if I back down if you call me out.

    • Liketohateus

May is older than PACman dumb dummy

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

all that don’t matta dumbass – maywheater Still dodged Paceio’s prime

      • i’mreloaded!

Bruh, relax wit the name callin. Everyone’s opinion on here counts. I don’t give a damn bout how old Mayweather is, fact of the matter is he duckin and dodging dat man for years and being in your prime has nothing to do wit age. It’s about how long your skills stay sharp. So shut u when u talkin to me, u fuccin lame. And don’t be tryin to type some tough guy chit after this cuz I don’t do keyboard thuggin lame.

      • SQL

Mayweather is older but then he is a defensive boxer so age wont affect his boxing in as much as it will a more aggressive manny…

    • Liketohateus

That’s funny because Marquez was 40 yrs old when he beat manny

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

don’t matta – got nothing to do with maywheater’s dodging — and your point PROVES his – Paceio is past his prime

      • Knickfan4life

Did you all even know who manny pacquio was 7 years ago? I doubt it he ony started getting recognition after that Marquez fight. He cannot beat Floyd Mayweather and most boxing fans know that.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

wrong – inside the ring is the only way to know

      • AK

        what a fairweather reply

      • Knickfan4life

If you want to see what would happen in a pacquio s Mayweather fight go watch leonard vs Duran 2 on YouTube

      • AK

you cant compare either of them to those two all 4 different fighters, also pacman got big with the berrera and morales series before marquez

      • Knickfan4life

What? Lol no they are not ,Roberto Duran fights straight forward and so does PAC like most Hispanic fighters have the same style and sugar ray was studied by Mayweather they have the same defense and move style been watching boing since the 70 ‘s ,it would be the same fight trust me.

      • Montrece Dawson

ok but duran won the 1st fight so your argument is invalid… also if u did ya home work after the 1st fight duran got fat and lazy and didnt take the 2nd fight seriously

      • Knickfan4life

No it’s not ray Leonard fought him flat footed in Montreal to prove a point.the second fight he fought how he fought his whole career. Nothing you can tell me about boxing I have been watching it for damn 30 years since I was little.

      • Montrece Dawson

yea but u made the argument and completely ignored the fact that leonard lost the 1st fight…. if he fought him flat footed thats his own problem… he still lost the fight… 2nd fight we didnt get the duran we got in the 1st fight… mayweather just need to stop the excuses and make the fight… dont care who did what back in 1980.. has nothing to do with 2014.. just get in the ring and sort it out there

      • Knickfan4life

The argument wasn’t about the first fight because he fought him unlike anytime in his career, the reason I bring up the second and equate it to Mayweather vs pacquio is because if he fights Mayweathern all Mayweather has to do is fight him he same way Leonard fought Duran in the second fight and it will be a easy victory. And you saw what Marquez did to PAC right? Lol and you saw what Mayweather did to him?

      • True, but his point is still valid.

Floyd “OUTBOXES” Manny, although Manny “OUTGUNS” Floyd.

Manny is no slouch and will fight to win by KO, but he makes defensive mistakes and doesn’t have the skilled footwork needed to trap or escape from Floyd.

      • Montrece Dawson

actually if you watch pacquiao fights he has excellent footwork and comes forward like many of you say but punches a weird angles…. but forget all that here is the real problem… all pacquiao fans want the fight.. mayweather fans try to make stupid reasons why he shouldn’t get the fight and then try to tell everyone how the fight will go on a message board instead of saying lets just get in the ring and sort it out…. mayweather has great skill… so does manny… lets just make the fight!!!! haven’t heard Floyd say one time hey id really like to fight this guy… manny has several times

      • Manny has great foot work, alll Freddie’s fighter’s do, it’s just not better than Floyd’s.

From a fans perspective, yes, just fight, Floyd is looking at it from business angles too.

      • Knickfan4life

        Watching

      • School this fool please….

      • i’mreloaded!

Then why wouldn’t he fight Pac Man when he was clearly the number 1 contender?

      • Beef with Bob Arum who ripped him off for millions.

      • i’mreloaded!

Anyone can be beat. Ask Tyson, Roy Jones, Mosely, Bernard Hopkins, Foreman, Frazier….well you get it. All these guys were pretty much in their prime when they hit da mat. Sorry.

      • Mayweather is older.

Proof that your dumb@$$ knows less about boxing than you do about Hip Hop.

      • SQL

Mayweather is older but then he is a defensive boxer so age wont affect his boxing in as much as it will a more aggressive manny

      • i’mreloaded!

Yeah, Floyd does have excellent defense, because he been bobbin and weaving from Pac for years! I don’t think it will happen because Pac seems to have moved on from the whole thing.

      • Moved on from the tax issues?

      • True, but it’s not like Mayweather is in his prime either.

32 is considered OLD in boxing.
Hagler, Hearns & Leonard retired at 32.

Bernard Pop’Kins is 50? & still tearing up young Champions & taking their straps.

Mayweather is the smarter fighter & that will make the difference.

        #IJS

If anything, Mayweather is past his prime & any win over him now will be tainted by that fact….if he loses.

      • i’mreloaded!

That still don’t mean nothing. Marquez appears to have more heart than Mayweather. Mayweather knew Pac was gonna whoop dat azz. You didn’t see Tyson runnin from Evander, you didn’t see Roy runnin from Tarver. You didn’t see Leonard runnin from Hagler. Mayweather is a gifted fighter, but he is all about public perception. He isn’t going to fight anyone who can hit him. At least all the other fighters I mentioned fought the best to make the claim to be the best. Ready, set, start hating!

  • Kevin Anthony

Make it happen Floyd. U know what the people want. Hip Hop heads, I got something for yaa..Kevin Anthony-21 on soundcloud

Love or hate em.. he’s smart for leaving on top. Niggas weren’t f*ckin with Floyd

  • AK

this date might be the pacquio fight i can see floyd doing that to get his biggest payday on his last fight

    • Rufus Buck

No way. He is going to do the Pacquiao fight as his 50th or 51st fight. That will be his last fight. He will come out of his temporary retirement for the biggest fight payday of his career but only after he after he conclusively ties or beats Marciano’s record. That is what Floyd is aiming for. Trust me brother. When he does that, he’ll risk the 0 losses with Manny.

      • AK

seeing as floyd will be 38 in september of 2015 i doubt he comes out of another retirement

      • Rufus Buck

Payday has zero to do with age my g.

He could be 55, when he secures his TRUE VICTORY over Marciano’s record (even though he denies it, THAT is what he wants), that is when he’ll fight Pacquiao… for the biggest payday that the sport has ever seen.

PLEAAE remember this comment. I’ll search and repost it n a year or so.

Total agreement my bro. Been saying that & you summed it iup best.

When that happens in 2015 I’m gonna be on the sidelines saying “Buck told ya’ll! Buy that ninja a drink…”

      • Pirate7x

        Heard of Bernard Hopkins?

has any fighter ever retired undefeated?

    • JamalFromGhostwriter

As far as champions only Rocky Marciano.

Of course most of us will watch if Floyd fights Manny but that fight needed to happen about 4 years ago, after they had each almost killed Ricky Hatton.

I think Floyd was scared of Manny at that time even though I dont think he’s afraid of him anymore.

      • Sound bout right, I think it would still be an entertaining fight, but when Paq was just running thru opponents would have been the absolute greatest time for em to fight each other. Nobody ain’t really want it with manny at that point in time, bruh was on..

    • Pirate7x

Yeah Marci, the great white icon. Who allegedly had many of his final fights set up against palookas who were no serious comp.

All I want is for Mayweather to put that corny white-suprmacist hero’s record in the grave where it deserves to be. Floyd needs to retire out at 50 undefeated in 9/15 and promote fights through TMT. Then come back and continue whoppin’ ass just to shut up haters.

Niccaz kill me talkin bout Money was scared to fight Paq. Nigga please. Money said agree to Olympic testing to prove you not doping..Paq said no? and ya’ll niggaz keep the circus going with thinking this man scared of Paq..Paq done got knocked out by lesser boxers than Floyd. Nigga you not gone dope up and come fight me and try to ruin my legacy…..that’s smart on Flyod part….

    • SQL

Pacman initially said no to the Olympic style drug testing(which was the right thing to do) then he eventually said yes. then mayweather asked the then pound for pound champ and fighter of the decade to take 40% of the purse when manny was as big a draw if not bigger. Manny said no. He later agreed to it and now Floyd is saying he doesnt want to deal with Bob Arum. If manny leaves Arum Floyd will make up another excuse

      • I think you explained exactly what I was trying to say, don’t get me wrong I like both fighters and it’s hard really for me to choose between the two but a spade is a spade man…if he leave arum there will be no more excuses. Why should the former p4p champ and fighter of the decade have to lower his standards for an equal champ? Like I was telling the Floyd stans, I think bruh is one of the most talented fighters of all time but the way the Paq thing was handled was gay as hell man…Olympic testing…nigga please they wasn’t fighting in no Olympics, I knew right then they wasn’t tryna get in the ring with that lil dangerous Philippino, that’s the only fight I was dying to see. Now I don’t care no more…NONE OF THE STANS COULD ANSWER THIS QUESTION: name one boxer that has requested Olympic style testing for a santioned fight that wasn’t a part of the Olympics? I ain’t heard nutn but crickets round this b***h, where they do that? oh yea my bad they do it for the Olympics of course.

      • True, but there have been allegations of cheating, but either way, that might have been some BS to smokescreen for the Arum issue, or just business.

As it stands, Floyd’s business handling of the game is remarkable.

    • i’mreloaded!

What does that mean? Pac called this dude out so many times and Floyd kept comin up wit excuses. True Pac got knocked out, but so has Tyson, Roy, and Hopkins. Hell, even Mosely done took some L’s. The point is Floyd wants to be regarded as the best, but he wouldn’t even fight Pac who was considered to be the favorite by some to win dat fight. If you scared Floyd, read a bible. I woulda had more respect for Floyd if he would have took the fight and lost. Coulda been a great fight but we will never know thanks to Floyd. Nobody checkin for dat fight no more.

      • Tony G.

        ur a Floyd stan…and that’s fine….but he ducked Pac

    • Name another fighter that has ever in the history of boxing, that requested Olympic style testing that wasn’t in the damn Olympics? You have absolutely no point, ya boi been dodging the tops in divisions for years. I like Floyd and I think his camp is smart for giving him longevity but he done ran 4 too long with his once a year fighting a$$, I just wanted to see how great bruh really was tho, he is great in all honesty but he done dodged plenty bullets my brotha. Yea so what Paq finally got ko’d by a guy he has fought several times and they all were close and sum thing finally gave, but if a fighter gets knocked out he is no longer good? I respect the lil Philippine because you can’t name a guy he ever ducked in any of the divisions he fought in…all 8 of em bruh. Lil nigga a warrior.

  • Steve Seo

seriously. this guy needs to fight Pacquiao otherwise there will be still people out there who are going to tarnish his reputation

    • iamwhoiam

Nobody wants to see that fight anymore. Pacquiao’s reputation is already tarnished.

      • SQL

Pacquiao? pacquiao hasnt been ducking for years. Floyd has. he’s been giving excuses and conditions over and over

      • iamwhoiam

BUT, Floyd has good reason. I wouldn’t want my legacy ruined by a cheater. With so much at stake why, why chance it? Did Pac man agree to the before and after testing?

      • SQL

what cheater. Pacman never tested positive. what Floyd wanted was unprecedented. what him think Many was on drugs. and after that what about the purse split. ad then after that, why did he say that Manny should leave Arum to get the fight. why wasnt tht the first thing he asked for

      • $11625525

Did people still want to see Tyson vs Holyfield or Tyson vs Lewis, after Tyson had been KO’d twice and DQ’d? Then why not this fight

      • I know I damn sure did bruh, hell with what bruh talking.

      • You can’t be serious….name another fight you would like to see then…seriously think about it. That’s like saying Julio Cesar Chavez who’s record was 107 wins 6 ls and 2 draws as a professional career would be tarnished because he lost…sounds to me like bro whooped a lot of a$$, yea he lost a few times but that’s to be expected if you have over 115 professional fights. A loss doesn’t tarnish a legacy but dodging will.
