Kobe Bryant: African Americans Shouldn’t Have Supported Trayvon Martin Just Because He’s Black

(AllHipHop News) Kobe Bryant wants to know all the facts before he shows any support for anyone. In a recent interview with The New Yorker, Kobe spoke on how African Americans’ support of Trayvon Martin was not “progress” if those people supported him without knowing all the facts.

On March 26th 2013, less than a month after Trayvon Martin was murdered by George Zimmerman, the Miami Heat players took a photo donning Black hoodies with the caption “#WeAreTrayvonMartin”. Even though the Heat’s head coach Erik Spolestra called it a “powerful move”,Kobe informed The New Yorker that it was indicative of a larger problem in the African American community and was not “progress”:

I won’t react to something just because I’m supposed to, because I’m an African-American. That argument doesn’t make any sense to me. So we want to advance as a society and a culture, but, say, if something happens to an African-American we immediately come to his defense? Yet you want to talk about how far we’ve progressed as a society? Well, we’ve progressed as a society, then don’t jump to somebody’s defense just because they’re African-American. You sit and you listen to the facts just like you would in any other situation, right? So I won’t assert myself.

While Kobe did not publicly show support for Trayvon Martin, he did show support on his personal Twitter account for the fallen 15 year old Hadiya Pendleton less than a month after she was murdered in late January of 2012. Ironically, he displayed this support on the day Trayvon Martin was murdered:

  • Brindle

this is gonna separate the emotional (prior to the year 2004 was a female trait) from the logical (prior to the year 2010 was a human trait)… Kobe’s 100% right, we as blacks do need to learn to look at the facts… the problem for Kobe (as a black man from Italy) is you gotta have enough heart and pride to lean towards your people when the facts aint all there, its ok to be wrong, its not ok to be scared to be wrong cause you protecting your media image. My favorite player on my favorite team but him, Jordan, Jay Z and a few others don’t stand for nothen of social worth

    • SleepyTheGreat

Right, Their So Politically Correct To Avoid Spoiled Partnerships. He Made A Good Point About Not Knowing All The Facts, But We Know In America, Facts Will Be Altered In Favor of Wrong Doing.

    • BIG MIKE SOMETHING SERIOUS

      Agree!

    • Why no civil suit by Trayvon’s family?

    • Dhz30

lol niggas arent trying to hear it..thinking strictly with emotion and not hearing what kobe is saying..trayvon martin case was simply an example but he’s speaking to a much larger issue that is keeping the black community steeped in ignorance

  • True_Fan

Jim Brown WAS RIGHT about Kobe. Black kid killed, blacks had to protest just to get GZ charged, that all is all you need to know.

    • Realist4200

“That’s all you need to know”

Limited thought leads to ignorance. There’s plenty more you need to know.

  • WORLD DOMINATOR

Kobe is to be commended for speaking his ‘MIND’ & not just go along with a polarizing ‘color’ issue. WHY did blacks feel OJ was innocent just because he was black, when he QUICKLY proved he was a criminal not above using force even unjustified. If Trayvon was white, would there has been such a huge OUTCRY from the white community? I don’t think so….

    • Brindle

no! because if he was white, Zimmerman wouldn’t have followed him or killed him

    • Black Jay

Man…. There’s so much sh*t wrong with your statement that it’s ridiculous.

First of all, White people are not in the minority. I think the term “minority” is used for a reason and that is why the attention is being placed with Trayvon.

Second…. Almost every Black person I knew (as well as White) pretty much knew OJ did it. The celebration wasn’t about him killing a White woman. It was about the numerous times Black People get f*cked by the predominantly white leaning justice system and how their corruption was finally being exposed and exploited by a Black dude. A sell out. Someone that white people had let into their club and had gone out of his way to diss Blacks.

Get your facts straight before you d*ck ride on the wrong sh*t. You obviously have a problem with this subject so maybe you shouldn’t be too visible in this section because you’re going to get outed. Just my opinion….

      • CD

Minority is not secluded just for a specific race. Any person can be a minority given the correct parameters such as geographical location, social status, political involvement, etc. But what society focuses on is the one word that has been annotated as being a group of a specific color that was wronged. Just like how any person with the name Adolf is automatically cast as being a bad person. The same goes for minority.

  • David Gonz

HE PROBABLY KNOWS SOME INSIDE ILLUMIANTI SHIT. TRAYVON MARTIN WAS A RITUAL KILLING. IT WOULD BENIFIT THOSE WHO CARE TO STUDY THE SIMILARITIES BETWEEN KING TUT AND TRAYVON AND TUTS FATHER AND TRAYVONS “FATHER” BARRACK OBAMA.

    • Realist4200

      You can’t be serious……..

      • David Gonz

        DEAD SERIOUS.

STUDY IT YOURSELF I AINT GOT TIME FOR IT ALL.

      • David Gonz

FOR INSTANCE I KNEW THE WHOLE TIME ZIMMERMAN WOULD GET AWAY WITH IT. SIMPLY BECAUSE I KNOW THE TUT STORY OF HOW HIS KILLER GOT AWAY WITH IT.

      • So if you had your gat, and he snuffed you, got on top & struggled for control of it, you wouldn’t have fired?

      • David Gonz

i doubt that even happened. you were there?

      • superh8

Go suck ur father of.she waiting

      • David Gonz

SUCK YOUR MOTHER THRU A STRAW BAWTI BOY

      • No, just going by the evidence that was presented to the jury that legally determined the outcome of the case.

      • anemia716

it should have never go to that point. why was he being followed in the first place? it all started there. if some dude did that to you, you wouldn’t try to defend yourself?

kind of an out of line thing to say, especially considering no one really knows what happened, and also he was told multiple times not to follow Trayvon. right?

this could have all been avoided, but it started with, and ended with an agenda.

      • Here’s your problem, you are confusing right & wrong with legal & illegal.

        They are not the same.

IE: Dude is drunk, 1/2 way across the room, you walk in to the pizza shop, with your wife & daughter & he calls out to you & yells ” Yo! yeah, You, Ya’ B’sh got that phattest @$$ west of the Pekoe River, I’ll give you a slice if you let me fugg it!”

        >>Starts laughing with all his friends, they spitting milk put their noses, etc.

Now would you be right in walking over & knocking him out with one punch?

Some would say YES!, but if it was on camera & he pressed charges, would there be enough evidence to prove assault?

What if he fell back, hit his head & died…& was white, would you be charged?

        That was Tray.

        Provoked into breaking the law.
The irony is, there was more of a civil case, than criminal one, but flip side is, you punch homey, & drop him & commence to letting him :

        >> In Willie D’s voice : “Read these Nikes”

& he blams you, think he’s doing life, when you crossed the pizza shop instead of leaving?

Add in his white skin, your tatted black skin, arrest record, school record, IG, twitter, FB posts about knocking ninjaz off & knocking ninjaz out, and then what?

Black people are so stupid, they talk ‘chet about Kobe for talking smart.

This case was focused on because it was a bad one to make an example off, no media is focusing on H Rap Brown / Jamil El Alamin, Assata Shakur or any other case of true injustice, but they will give you that marissa chick & say because she left & got the gat & came back & fired, she should be supported because of her skin color & not the details of the case, and we should automatically treat it like she screamed out “This is for my PEOPLEEEeeee!” b4 bucking a shot near a white man’s head.

        >> In Ed lover’s voice : “C’mon Son!”

      • anemia716

haha you know nothing about that. Egyptologists know very little about Tut’s death. They can only speculate.

      • Brindle

I don’t usaully do this on the internet but that N-word is crazy

Living in America where black people have been demonized and often had the finger pointed at them while innocent is what the outcry is about. It is about oppression and racism. Because Kobi lives in his super rich shell where he is greeted with kindness because he is a basketball superstar, he can’t relate. The fact that Trayvon wasn’t doing anything illegal, then Zimmerman can start a fight with him, and get his butt kicked and shoot him is what the outcry was about. But Kobi wouldn’t understand that, because he thinks he is included in the upper echelons of society and that means you have to go along to get along. Can’t get these white people mad by affiliating with black folk on social issues. We have made progress as a people yes, but this country still has a race issue. Respect to Jim Brown, Huey P Newton, H Rap Brown, Elderidge Cleaver, Assata Shakur, MLK, Malcom X and the real.

    • If Zimmerman started the fight…why no civil suit by the family?
      #LostCause

      • youngplaya

If? Come on bruh..The dispacther told GZ to not even follow TM..There wouldn’t have even been an altercation if he wasn’t some over zealous wanna be cop …..and Lawsuit? Bruh we talking about working people not well off people and to keep reliving the misery of their son being killed..I undertand why they would just want it all to be over.

      • Why not Ron Goldman’s family (O.J)?

The first law “allegedly” broke, was Trayvon’s assault on Zim, who was legally armed, and who fired in self defense after a struggle for the firearm.

        *No evidence to suggest otherwise…LEGALLY.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

your stupid and wrong hoodrat- read my comments above for the explanation

      • Dhz30

you’re* and why can’t niggas disagree without this ‘hoodrat’ name calling bullshit? grow up that shit is childish and doesn’t make your point any more valid

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

I’ll Never accept any “corrections” or advice from you – understand boy ?!

      • Dhz30

lol alright kid i see you flexing your internet muscles and calling people ‘hoodrat’ and ‘boy’ on the computer like a racist troll with nothing of substance to add, so..enjoy your day, killa

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

I’m no killa – I’m a Educator – if your too Stupid to understand, that’s Your fault

      • CD

When did you become a country? Perhaps you meant to write that you are “Ecuadorian” and not “a Ecuador.” So stop calling people stupid when you have no grasp on grammar and punctuation. It will make your arguments sound somewhat logical.

      • youngplaya

You see that? See that’s just what I said in my opening comment about blacks being demonized and having a finger pointed at them. You inherently without any facts or data what so ever belief that Trayvon somehow is wrong or was doing something wrong. Somehow in this free society Trayvon the young black kid was out of line and he got himself killed. Surely GZ could not be the bad guy even though you don’t know him from squat you just believe for no reason Trayvon is at fault. Now there’s something wrong with that. The only facts we do have is that there was an altercation because super cop wanna be stopped Trayvon then shot him. After he was already told not to follow him. GZ didn’t have any right to approach or apprehend TM in any way shape or form if he wasn’t committing a crime. And how do you know GZ didn’t swing first? Why wouldn’t TM be afraid of a stranger in plain clothes approaching him in the middle of the night? Who says GZ didn’t grab him and cause TM to fear for his life? Yet people who think like you believe this kid minding his business is at fault. It’s insanity.

      • The evidence presented to the jury.

        *Basing opinion on that. ^^

      • Brindle

2 reasons. During a civil suit, you can bring anything in to evidence, problems between the parents, cheating, affairs, drug use, etc… and 2nd, if you when, you still can’t force the person to pay you… Usually a civil suit is best for making it known the person was sued civilly for a bad thing, but almost impossible to get the money from that individual

      • David Gonz

NIGGA THINK HE A LAWYER HAHAHHA

      • Brindle

get back in the kennel before a smack you on the muzzle… EDOG don’t wan’t no dogs jumping on his new clothes…

      • Not if they have asests & are still earning.

Judgement can sieze and auction to satisfy it.

      • Brindle

exactly but they cash out before the judgement goes through, like OJ…

      • >>Hates the game…not the player though.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

don’t ask us – ask them rat

      • CD

A judge can order seizure but that is not usually during the initial verdict. It would take another court hearing to seize the assets and to do so could take years. Many civil cases go unanswered.

      • Very true, that 2nd procedure is called a “Judgement” in some juristictions, so now dudes reading this can understand that, in if they are in a civil case & win, they can move for “Judgement” str8 off the bat & start the collection process, facilitated by the state, immediately.

        #LegalTip

      • CD

Yep, and all of Trayvon’s past, including theft, drugs, fighting, firearms; dad’s spotty past and infidelity (ex-wife confirmed); and the previous 17 years of Trayvon bouncing from home to home would be brought into court. It would be a HUGE mess for the Martin family if they actually seek a civil suit. Prosecution tried their best to defame GZ in trial while the defense had to keep quiet about TMs history.

      • David Gonz

CAUSE THE WHOLE STORY WAS BULLSHIT. HIS FATHER IS 33RD DEGREE OR 32ND I FORGET. HE AITN SAYIN SHIT.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

ask them hoodrat – got nothing to do with the verdict being wrong

      • I know the answer:
        #LostCause

The EVIDENCE established Tray as starting the fight / throwing 1st punch, while Zim was acting lawfully.

If being an annoyance was grounds for Tray knocking Zim out, you’d live in the coma ward.

  • David Gonz

FUNNY HOW THE MOST IMPORTANT IMAGE OF KING TUT, AN 18 YEAR OLD KING WHO GOT “SHOT” WITH AN ARROW IN A CONFRONTATION, AND HIS KILLER WAS NEVER FOUND AKA GOT AWAY WITH IT. FUNNY HOW THE MOST IMPORTANT IMAGE OF TUT HES WEARING A HOOD.

    • anemia716

King Tut’s death has neither been ruled a homicide nor accident.

that “hood” is not a hood. it’s a crown or a headdress. all of the pharaohs had one and they were all symbolic. similar to the pope, it was part of the attire.

learn the history first before you jump online and type in all caps. reachin ass.

      • David Gonz

NEITHER HAS TRAYVONS DEATH YOU IDIOT.

      • anemia716

and the relevance of that in regards to your whole “hood” argument.

it bears none. you really need to learn how to debate.

      • Trayvon’s was ruled a homocide.

    • Brindle

Tut wearing a hood??? You’re a retard, was it made by ADIDAS or NIKE??? back to the kennel for you and no water in your bowl

      • David Gonz

NO IT WAS MADE OUT OF GOLD. THEY DIDNT HAVE NIKE BACK THEN. WHOS THE IDIOT NOW.

      • Brindle

A GOLD HOODIE, well I’ll be damned. He must’ve got that at his local corner store cause they don’t sell them in my neighborhood… You idiot, get back in the kennel…

      • anemia716

…it was NOT made out of gold. the sculptures of him are gold, hence the gold headdress. are you really that dense? it was cloth with jeweled accents, or in some cases plain white or red. like I said, they all held a particular significance.

  • Pingback: Kobe Bryant: African Americans Shouldn’t Have Supported Trayvon Martin Just Because He’s Black - Bmore Gossip()

  • mademan3000

I have no problem with Kobe expressing his opinion, bcuz it’s just that so is what we are saying. However none of us have to agree with it if we don’t want to, now that much is fact. Next thought is (and yeah I know it’s kinda petty) I can’t help but wonder if he had that same thought process when much of the black community was in support of him when he was out taking P***Y just bcuz he is a black man. Guess he thinks the world has forgotten bout that little situation when he was all on t.v. talking bout “C’mon y’all know me”…Nawwww ninja we didn’t know u, hell ur own teammates didn’t even know u bcuz u felt u were above everyone til that shit humbled u homie. I said most of that to say this when u said that wasn’t it pretty much a preconcieved statement also, we didn’t have all the facts…HMMMM!!!

  • Brooklyn Stoop

It’s amazing how dis unity is promoted to black people. Dis unity and non violence

    • Troll_E_G

Don’t forget misinformation about anything related to black history….for an example..look at the York/Jay Z Ahh rumor

  • jd

He’s right, you must know the facts, but you knew the facts after a month. Same as Rodney King, Yusef Hawkins, Oscar Grant, etc. Those facts didn’t change and I didn’t hear his support on Martin or Grant when the facts came out. I respect his point, but he is wrong on this one.

  • Troll_E_G

He should have kept that to himself….Jim Brown seems to b right about him ….what facts was he waiting on…the Zimmerman case was pretty much bs from start to finish….shame how us blacks do support others because they our own but maybe its time to stop supporting those blacks in the public light because those are those that give no fucks about us once they in another tax bracket….we supported Kobe with rape yet he needs facts to say rip over Trayvon…lord knows I wish Ali never got messed up so he could speak alongside Jim

  • Inmadopicouroz✓QUEENSᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Jim Brown was right about this fool. I agree we shouldn’t just defend people just because they are black however Trayvon situation was so messed up but we should of have know about Kobe all along. Dude has never lived in the urban community so he would never understand, Not dissing him just the truth, Some would call that blessed. Majority of his life was in Italy and then he moved to Lower Merion however no hood niccas ever say him out. Just like on the Early Laker years and beyond, Kobe never hanged out with the brothers, it has been reported by past teammates. Silver spoon his whole life and its not his fault, just stating facts!

    • You just mad because he wouldn’t let your stalking @$$ suck him off.

You probably gonna be on the next thread posting about wanting to suck him & who ever off, you bipolor nincumfuggin poop.

      • Inmadopicouroz✓QUEENSᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

u know whats truelly sad? What I wrote above about Kobe etc with Jim Brown and you started to troll? Even on serious subjects u still tend to be an emotional father! Be open about ur son getting boxed in the ring and in the bed room. p.s. its ur baby moms brother that he is fu(king!

  • NotTomFromMySpace

How can you disagree with Kobe? Look at the facts and turn out regardless of ur personal feelings, thats what this is all about……

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

How? – because he’s WRONG, just like the verdict – yes, look at the facts – a stranger follows a child in car, then on foot, then running,, at night, all the way up to arm’s length – That’s when trayvon had legal rightrs to defend himself, – then that mexican killed him when he MADE him defend himself – that’s guilty of murder – got that boy?

      • if he had a Mexican last name and a father that was a poor working class man and not a judge, the verdict would be different. Don’t deny his white privilege by calling him “that Mexican”

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

that’s what he is – even tho, like most of em’ they will hide it if they can – he tried cuz he has a white father – still, his mutt race is not the subject, and is not important

      • CD

If his race was not important then why did you comment about it?

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

I commented to prove why the verdict was wrong

      • CD

You can’t prove anything. Heck, the prosecutors could not “prove” anything so why do you have the all-knowing facts of the case? And you are skirting around the race comment. Why was your comment about race important when you announced it but when called out, you back-tracked and said that race was not important? Personal opinions and emotions don;t belong in the judicial system.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

back tracked? skirting? that mutt heritage of yours is making you Stupider by the minute – the prosececuters DID prove he was wrong – the jury knew they would stay unknown and They were the ones how made this sneaky vile wrong verdict – then sneek out the back door

      • CD

Again with the name calling. Is that your only go-to when you can’t have an educated debate? You have no idea of my heritage much like I have no idea of yours. But heritage means nothing except in your eyes. And that is being racist.

Now that we have that out of the way. If the prosecutors “proved” anything then why was someone acquitted? Do you understand that I watched 100% of the trial and I can tell you that the prosecution lost because they were not as prepared as they thought. Not to mention their star witness #8 did not help as much as they had hoped? Are you also aware that the prosecution and defense both agreed on the jury so that there is no biased side to the verdict? Were you also aware that one juror was on the books to sell her story the minute she stepped off the jury?

Stay uneducated my friend and spit out as much hate and opinionated comments as you wish. Does not make the matter right.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

re-read my last comment – your jibbrish changed none of it

      • CD

The only thing you have provided to this thread is personal opinions. Nothing you have stated is factual. Just because you believe in your mind does not make it true. Keep calm and chive on my friend.

      • He’s an idiot and didn’t even watch the trial.

      • CD

Have you noticed that all of the people who have not watched the trial seem to have all of the answers in life?

      • CD

Since when did all Hispanics become “Mexican?” GZ was half-Peruvian. And Peru is not even on the same continent as Mexico. Get your facts straight you racist.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

my facts are straight dumbass – the subject is the verdict – not what race this mutt is

      • CD

Get an education and then you can realize your comments are not as “straight” as you want them to be. Calling all Hispanics Mexican is racist.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

nah fool, not important – me, like everyone else, don’t give a dam what your mutt ass is

      • CD

Are you saying that education is not important? Maybe that is why your comments are full of hate. Educate yourself and the rest is a cake walk. But until then…

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

I’ll never take advice from you mutt – if you think that’s what I said about education – then go head and think that – I don’t even wanna talk with your stupid inferior short dumpy bodied mutt ass

      • CD

Name calling only solidifies your ignorance. And if you don’t want to talk then why do you reply? But just to say a thing or two, I would bet my life savings that my experiences and education far surpasses what you could ever be capable of understanding. Keep up the good work my man.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

I always tell the Truth – those names I called you are True too

      • CD

Whatever helps you sleep at night my friend. But if you are wanting a good debate/discussion then try using your head a bit and stop with the name calling. Name calling only helps to show your age and inexperience in life. And judging that your only go-to word is mutt, it appears you are far behind in the pack of society. And since you mentioned that you no longer wanted to talk to me, you have already replied twice. What’s that about?

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

have your white people ass kissing kind answer your questions

      • CD

Wow. You just keep going on with that racist demeanor of your’s and see if society is willing to accept you for who you really are.

Wow. You are just as hateful and racist as they come. Keep calm and chive on my friend.

    • u disagree w/ Kobe cuz he dead wrong. Like @youngsinick said “If there was any instance of some Blacks jumping behind another’s plight without all of the facts, Kobe, it was your rape case, not Trayvon”

  • meanygreene

if we are to progress, i would like black men(and these hoodrat nympo’s) to stop using the n-word when refering to each other, as a start

    • Troll_E_G

The n word is really Egyptian for king/god and is spelled N-G-R…its in our genetic code although most don’t know the meaning

      • anemia716

        completely wrong.

people also speculate that it stems from the actual country, Niger.

      • Troll_E_G

U offer no evidence to support your claim or to counter mine….the hieroglyphics support my fact ….move to the side n let me educate my brothers about the etymology

      • anemia716

the evidence is there is NONE. no one knows how that word came to be. it was a word so widely used that, at the time, could not really be pin pointed to its origin. Same with many other words, and slurs used in today’s society.

so that fact that there is no evidence supports my claim. I was a history major in college. there is no known origin. just theories. there are also “documents”, meaning books and other writing at the time to link it to the mispronunciation of Niger. Hieroglyphics show many many things…there are even drawings of the planets revolving around the sun LOOONG before the earth was even thought to be flat.

um, hieroglyphics? seriously. they show a word. a mere word. so please. i am formally educated and personally educated in history.

      • The_Good_Life

Dude, nothing wrong with saying you don’t understand…etymology is the study of words. Because there are so many nations and languages ethnologist break down words without the vowels to get the root. Then they look at the evolution of the derivatives which is affected by time period and location. Here are examples…

N-G-R (net-ger) Ancient Egyptian for God
        Net-tyr (Net-ger) Khemitic/ancient Egyptian = God, Sacred, Nature
        Net-tyr (Net-ger)
Negus (Nee-goos) Ethiopian term for “Emperor.”
Negashi (Nee-gah-shee) Ethiopian term for “Emperor or King.”
Niger: Roman/Latin term for Black or Negro
Negre: French for Negro or Black
        Negro: Spanish for Black
Ndaba (Manding-Congo/South Africa) = A counsil of wise people, kings, chiefs, ect.
        Ngola (Manding-C.. “King/Lord”
Nkosi = God (Zulu, South Africa)
        Ngosi = blessing (Ibo, Nigeria)
Nyamekye = God’s Gift (Akan, Ghana)
        Nile (Egypt, Sacred River)
        Niger (West Africa; Sacred River)
        Niger (country in West Africa)
        Nigeria (country in West Africa)
Nugarmatta: Term used by Africans of Ghana Empire to call themselves (see writings of Ibn Buttata — National Geographic Magazine

      • True, but that isn’t the root of the word, it just sounds the same.

      • The_Good_Life

That’s exactly what makes it the root. The annunciation.

      • Nah, different concepts.

      • The_Good_Life

This one is more famous and should clarify. By the way, HOVAH, ironically means trouble, destruction, mischief and ruin. This made me think about the jay z fans screaming hova at concerts.

        IE: Youtube Yaweh……

Magellian, the explorer, hit the Pope off with slave (16) in 1444, to work the Vativan.

In 1488? Pope Ennis? issued a decree to race to Africa to underdevelop it to bring Europe out of the dark ages, which in effect, started the team sport of RACism.

I doubt they were fluent in African languages of the past.

      • The_Good_Life

Its not hard to do a study on the word. It has many derivatives cause the east originally didn’t use vowels but to keep it basic: nigga = king, god. ingga = queen goddess

      • anemia716

haha you’re kidding right. there is no known documentation or origin of that word. period. JUST theories. please learn the difference.

  • What up Fam…. This is your man Black Jay. New profile, new movement. We’re about to go live with Hip Hop Critical Mass in 30 days. It was started by myself and 3 additional writers and It’ll be a website dedicated to real hip hop issues and commentary. The Hip Hop Critical Mass Blog is up and operating now and it’s where you can check me on daily issues that I address pertaining to hip hop news, culture, and strategy. Unfortunately you have to leave comments only through google for now until we get Disqus comments on board.

I’ve been checking a few of you cats on your opinions and writing skills and you definitely have something to offer hip hop. If you’re down for top notch discussions on the culture and you want to possibly be a part of this movement on a artistic/financial level hit me up on the Hip Hop Critical Mass blog. To get the address click on this profile and hit me with a message.

I look forward to seeing a large amount of you there and engaging in lively debates. For all of the dudes doing that “troll” thing we respect your opinions but the site that will be available in one month as well as the Hip Hop Critical Mass blog will be heavily moderated. I don’t really want to leave some of you cats out because healthy disagreement is the only way hip hop can get better. But personal attacks is kinda silly and we want to stray away from that.

Once again, click on this profile to get the hip hop link and let’s get it started. One…. Later..

    • Elayorx El

This is wassup fam. Best wishes on your new endeavor. Respect.

keep it 100% & let free speech run it’s course & I’ll be there.

      • Appreciate the support bro… We’re still in the early stages so a few bugs have to be worked out. We’ll get there…..

  • Jon

I know the facts and Trayvon’s action made it impossible to get a murder conviction. Simple as that.

    • anemia716

yea, it was his actions…last time I checked there was only one witness…

      the other one is dead.

florida is an ass backwards, bigoted right-winged state. simple as that.

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

simple as your Stupid – follow someone like that – up to arm’s length like that – they will legally stand their ground like trayvon did – and you won’t be lucky as ‘zimmerman’ – you would be legally killed by defense of your attack

      • The evidence doesn’t state that, so legally, you’re* just spouting your* opinion to counter documented facts established in a court of law.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

        the evidence Does tell that

      • I hope you aren’;t referring to the chick that got caught lying, the girlfriend?

        VS card carrying “good guy?”

Girlfriend impeached herself, hard to send someone to prison for life, based only on a liars word.

  • The_Good_Life

White corporations (buss family) been sucking up to Kobe since he was a teen and before that he was in Europe so he really didn’t experience the “black American struggle”. The closest he came was when the white chick gave him the back door then yelled rape. He’d be singing a different tune if he’d caught that 3 to 5….

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

I would have liked that – for ONE example, when it was out then, for reasons only a unlikeable person would know – he tells on Shaq cheating on his wife – “Shaq cheat too” – that’s got nothing to do with it – except he didn’t grow up Negro in America

  • Sean Power

I understand what kobe was try say say he, he was say we shouldn’t just out rage for crime when it black and white issue, but should out rage in all wrong no matter the color

how many young black people are killed each by other black people and we never show a out rage but as soon as it black and white it 24 hour out rage

    • W.E.B. Du Bois

nah fool – that’s a different subject – the subject is this verdict – and it was another stupid comment by kobe – because zimmerman was guilty, no matter the race of the victim

      • Sean Power

where does it say it about the verdict ? no one not saying he wasn’t guilty

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

the title says “supporting trayvon” – so since he was dead, then ‘verdict’ is the Only thing “support” means

      • Learn the law.
Zimmerman broke no law,Tray did with the assualt, according to the evidence presented to the jury.

You’re* an uninformed Sambo & should keep quiet.

trayvon did no assault dumbass – he stood his ground when he was stalked by a stranger – by car, then chased on foot – all the way up to arm’s length – that’s when it was legal for trayvon to defend his life

      • CD

If you watched the trial then you would have known that Trayvon came back to the scene and assaulted GZ. But facts and evidence means nothing to a man who has convicted someone prior to trial and before knowing a single aspect of the case..

  • Pingback: Kobe Bryant: African Americans Shouldn’t Have Supported Trayvon Martin Just Because He’s Black | HIP HOP WORLDWIDE()

  • MLB44

I agree with what Kobe said. But coming from him makes me nauseated. I’m a longtime die-hard Lakers fan and have always supported Kobe, but only for basketball- related reasons and in fact wanted Shaq to stay in L.A. over Kobe. Kobe has never been a man’s man, locker room, one of the guys types. He is aloof and self-centered. He is a black man but not a brotha. Plain and simple. Jim Brown called him out and was right. Kobe couldn’t stand next to Jim Brown. Jim Brown left a successful career in the NFL at his peak, and had the courage when blacks were still getting lynched to leave the fame and fortune behind and stand up and fight for black civil rights. I admit all blacks aren’t and shouldn’t have to be activists, but sellouts like MJ and Kobe, who are in a position to speak up and make a huge difference and don’t because either they don’t care and/or it may affect their commercial success, are the real ones holding back “our” progress.

    • This ^^^

      Except for last sentence.

    • sheepeater777

jim brown’s a racist dinosaur. like oprah said, racism won’t be gone until the old racists have all died.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

your comment was so STUPID – I’m not going to waste telling you why , just gonna tell you that, then stay on the topic

      • MLB44

A black person who promotes racial pride and high self esteem is only considered a racist by a racist. Blacks, such as Jim Brown, are only countering the false white superiority and the institutional racism against non-whites that have been around for hundreds of years, and still exists even after the election of our beloved black president. I agree that there are black racists, which is wrong, but Jim Brown is not one of them. He’s a proud black man who loves his people and fights every day against black self destruction. That’s more than I can say about some of these filthy rich athletes who are slaves to Nike and can care less about those poor black people selling drugs, going to prison, and killing each other every day just so they can obtain $150+ sneakers with certain athletes names on them.

  • ZUBU

@AHH…. GTFO! Nobody black (in heart and soul, not just skin color) gives a rat’s ass what Kobe Bean Bryant thinks, nobody!
Name one person who really likes Kobe….. You can’t name one, just one single person who likes Kobe. Not his parents, not his siblings, not his wife, not his teammates, not the LA Laker staff, not the arena staff. His wife only tolerates him until she cashes out. Ok maybe his kids like him, though I seriously doubt it and if they do like him it will change when they come of age and realize their dad is a penis-head….

    • Honestly, I’m defending Kobe’s position, but….I don’t like him either & can’t name anyone who does.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

your defending the wrong position – you said they wrestled for the gun (for example) that’s wrong – trayvon didn’t know him or what he had

      • Man STFU!

How do you know what Tray knew & when?

Only 1 witness, only 1 story.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

how? – by putting all the attainable forensic evidence together

      • And that told you what Tray knew?

He is right but he could have kept that to himself. Let’s not forget there was a black chick at Duke who lied on a bunch of white boys saying they raped her. We must know the facts no matter what race it is. We need equality around the globe!!! We letting the 1% control our ass we ought to fight back against their bitch asses Kobe is nobody.

  • Picasso Micheaux

Kobe seems to be a glutton for punishment…
Who says “I wont react to something…just because I’m supposed to…”?
With that level of logic, not only should Kobe have gone to college, I’m starting to question the quality of his high school education…something’s not right here…

  • LoverOfHipHop

He’s not wrong for this opinion. Trayvon Martin probably wasn’t the example to use. You actually don’t need ALL the facts to support this particular case. A black kid minding his business got approached and was killed. Once we find that out we all should be riding. But I see what he is trying to say.

      • Karl Hungus

Not wrong, I watched the trial. You can believe what you want to believe but on the other side are facts.

      • LoverOfHipHop

The guy instigated that assault tho. Consider this scenario. You are minding your own business in the privacy of your house. Someone breaks in. You whoop their ass. The burglar shoots and kills you. The law says the only part that matters is the initial contact so the burglar gets off. Is that okay? I’m sleep tho.

      • Karl Hungus

We don’t need to rehash the trial. Objective people know what happened, emotional people who see race above all else will believe what they want to believe.

IDK, but it seems Kobe’s PR skills have always been in the sewer. He of all people should understand race being the seat of emotion in regards to these types of circumstances, especially in the Trayvon case. The parade of puppets, and “Energizer Bunnies”, is in rare form on AHH today.

  • HoneySnow

Lol…. I bet he didn’t feel this way when he got accused of rape…. If he wasn’t who he was he would’ve gotten thrown under the jail with prejudice for even admitting to having relations with that white chick ….hypocrite!!!!

    • Brick Soulja

Kobe understood that he shared some blame in that false rape charge. He understood that he shouldn’t have given that lower life trashy girl an opportunity to lie on him.

      • HoneySnow

Hey Brandi…I understand he took onus in his decision…. And right or wrong he was label a rapist… And we as black people stood by him even before we knew all the evidence… So that being said, Kobe did not once say, ” African Americans shouldn’t stand by “ME”till all facts are known”… That would have been asinine on his behalf….just like its asinine for him to pigeon hole all black people as not being able to decipher right from wrong in this Trayvon Martin case…. We stood by Travon because the shit reeked of prejudice being black was just part of it….

      • Brick Soulja

        I’m Dominican not black.

      • ReecesQueen

Well Miss Dominican no one cares what you think since you made it clear what you are. Yeah he wanted the black community to stand by his sodomy raping behind. And then turned around and snitched on Shaq. I’ve never liked that arrogant punk!

      • Dhz30

‘im dominican not black..’ now aint that sad? another black woman ashamed of her identity, making it a point to separate herself

      • CD

Black skin does not describe nationality. Where do you reside? Does your skin color mean that you are from that country or do you just like using stereotypes only when it benefits you?

      • Brick Soulja

Curtis, I suspect you’re either an attorney or law student. However, if you are not either one of those, you definitely should be, because your rebuttals are amazing. Those two imbeciles are only making moot points, which destroyed their credibility already. In other words, you have thoroughly defeated them and are victorious. It’s said in some circles to “never argue with a fool, because onlookers may not be able to tell the difference”. But, in this case of a flawlessly excecuted verbal thrashing, it was needed and this onlooker (me) recognized those fools lol.

      • CD

Hi Brandi. No, no attorney or law school. Just a person who has made mistakes in the distant past and vowed the rest of my life to become a life-long student. Thank you for your kind words.

      • Brick Soulja

That’s totally sublime and I admire you. You’re so very welcome.

      • ReecesQueen

I’m not ashamed anything Brandi made it a point to tell me she was Dominican. Read before you attack me, I’ve never been ashamed of who I am obviously she is and you to I never mentioned race.

      • Dhz30

No, i am agreeing with you. re-read my statement and make note of the ‘ ‘ around ‘im dominican not black’ indicating that i am quoting what she said.

      • ReecesQueen

        Got you!

      • CD

I don’t think she is ashamed of her heritage but I full-heartedly believe she made the comment to keep her skin tone out of the context of a nationality. You can’t say that you are black and then people should automatically believe that you are Dominican. But what you can say is that you are Dominican and that your skin tone shows a multi-cultural aspect of the nation. When I walk around and discuss my heritage I don’t say, “I am white.” Instead, when discussing these matters I explain where my nationality lies. “I am American with Irish, Dutch, German, English descent.” That speaks more about me as a person rather than trying to explain what color my skin is. I have a choice of where I reside but I have zero choice in my skin tone. Much like I have zero control over how many fingers I was born with. When you are talking to someone and saying something like, “That black man over there” you are using a color descriptor to point out the man based on his skin color which has had negative connotations in history instead of relaying information about the man over there who might be wearing a red jacket. You see, I am speaking of the same individual but I am not using his skin color to identify him.

“I’m not ashamed anything Brandi made it a point to tell me she was Dominican.”

Well, hate to be the bearer of bad news but she did not tell you a thing. She was speaking to someone else and you jumped in to attack her for bringing out her nationality opposed to her color of her skin.

      • ReecesQueen

It wasn’t necessary to mention it, the discussion wasn’t about her for one. And yes she was excluding herself.

      • CD

Actually, yes the discussion was about her because someone responded to her comment with, “And we as black people stood by him even before we knew all the evidence..” So, she reacted to someone else using race to describe a mass of people who “sided” opposed to individuals with nationalities. Your skin color should not be the basis of decision-making. When you stop grouping yourself into a category of skin colors can we move beyond racism and the negative aspects of it.

      • W.E.B. Du Bois

I respect that – Negros are the only race that let others come to America and say they are them (Obama)- every other race would publicly tell them “no your not” – we let everybody mis-use our Identity, for their purpose

      • HoneySnow

Lol…..you’re nationality is Dominican…but baby girl you profile pic says you black…. Wow..

      • CD

Much of the Dominican Republic is full of dark-skinned individuals. Don’t think that one skin color comes from only one continent. Brazil is another place where dark-skinned individuals reside. Do your research before judging a book by its cover.

      • Dhz30

sounds like you need to do a little research yourself..what an ignorant statement.. BLACK doesn’t mean ‘niggas from america or africa’

      • CD

How was my statement ignorant? Someone posted the assumption from a profile picture that dark-skinned people cannot hail from other countries that the ones that are commonly associated with. And for the record, I have traveled to both, Brazil and the DR so I am not just using something from thin air. We all wear different skin but that does not depict the type of person we are. And I definitely would not categorize anybody by the racist term that you used.

      • Dhz30

let me ask you a couple questions just so i’m clear on your stance.. do you consider Sammy Sosa to be black? what about David Ortiz, or Anderson Silva?

      • CD

I don’t care what their skin color is in terms of nationality. Two are Dominican and one is Brazilian. But looking at any of the three mentioned, you cannot say that someone looks to be a certain nationality by the color of their skin. That is all I am trying to say. By the way, my step-mother is of Brazilian decent and I consider her to be American. I have a Japanese grandmother who I consider to be American. I have a Russian mother who I consider to be American. I have a black cousin who I consider to be American. I have a Persian uncle and several cousins who I consider American. None of these individuals have characteristics of skin color that say they are of a specific race and hail from a certain nationality. Once we as a society look beyond skin color can we then move past the stereotypes associated with skin color. And anytime I am filling out a form, I NEVER check the boxes that ask about my skin color. Skin color should have zero determination on my character as a person.

      • Dhz30

you are confusing (and combining) nationality with race..nationality =/= race. “American” describes nationality, “Brazilian” describes nationality. Black (negroid) describes race, white (caucasoid) describes race. this is what i meant by calling your statement ignorant. there are black (negroid) Brazilians and white (caucasoid) Brazilians. your cousin is the only person you identified by both race AND nationality. Also, it’s deeper than skin color. Again i would suggest that you do more research into what ‘race’ actually is. That’s great that you don’t consider yourself a racist and seem to view people as just people rather than by race and stereotypes..but if you’re then going to engage in a discussion about race then you need to understand that we have clearly defined terms, and the term ‘race’ has nothing to do with what country you live in.

      • CD

I am not confusing anything. If you would begin at the start of this thread then you can follow my though process. One person said they are Dominican. Another person replied that they look black as if a black person is not from the DR. Just like all of my examples of my family, all of which come from other countries yet all of them are considered American in my book. I don’t look at the darker skin tones and say, they must be of a certain nationality because of which. And for you to tell me I need more research on race then you should do the same. Race is defined as, “Race is a classification system used to categorize humans into large and distinct populations or groups by anatomical, cultural, ethnic, genetic, geographical, historical, linguistic, religious, and/or social affiliation.” Nothing I have said contradicts this definition.

      • Dhz30

“One person said they are Dominican. Another person replied that they look black as if a black person is not from the DR” let’s look at exactly what was said:

        -“I’m Dominican not black.”

-“Lol…..you’re nationality is Dominican…but baby girl you profile pic says you black…. Wow..”

this does NOT suggest that ‘a black person is not from the DR’ in fact it suggests exactly the opposite and reinforces what i have been trying to explain to you the entire time..a Black (negroid) person is a Black (negroid) person whether from the DR, America, Brazil, China, Japan etc. The first person implied that her race was dominican and NOT black. we responded by pointing out that her NATIONALITY is dominican, but her RACE is black..even your most recent statement is STILL confusing nationality with race:

“Just like all of my examples of my family, all of which come from other
countries yet all of them are considered American in my book. I don’t
look a the darker skin tones and say, they must be of a certain
nationality because of which.” we are discussing RACE..what does the country they come from have to do with anything? what does you considering them to be American (nationality!!!) have to do with their race?

Also, you are contradicting yourself..if your stance is that ‘Race has no merit in terms of where you are from,’ and if you aren’t equating nationality with race, then why when i asked the question “do you consider anderson silva, sammy sosa, etc to be black” which is asking ‘do you consider these men to be of the black (negroid) race’, you respond “they are dominican and brazilian” and ” have a japanese grandmother but i consider her american.”

You then went on to post a broad definition of race that once against contradicts one of your previous statements:

“Race has no merit in terms of WHERE YOU ARE FROM”

“Race is a classification system used to categorize humans into large and
distinct populations or groups by anatomical, cultural, ethnic,
genetic, GEOGRAPHICAL, historical, linguistic, religious, and/or social
        affiliation.”

see the contradiction in your own definition of race and your previous statement? also, to make it clear, geography, linguistics, religion, social affiliation, and culture have NOTHING to do with race. A negroid born in Russia who speaks fluent russian and subscribes to the predominate religion and cultural customs of the area is still genetically a NEGROID. One minute you are saying that race has nothing to do with what country you live in, the next minute you are telling me that Anderson silva isn’t a negroid because he lives in Brazil..then you are again defining race as having something to do with geographical location, religion, culture etc, but then turn around and say you agree that “the term ‘race’ has nothing to do with what country you live in.” make up your mind..i think this will sum it up if this post is too long:

“Race has no merit in terms of where you are from. Just like all of my
examples of my family, all of which come from other countries yet all of
them are considered American in my book.”

You went from ‘race has nothing to do with where you are from’ to ‘i gave examples of my family coming from different COUNTRIES but all being AMERICAN now that they live in america’ suggesting that you still think American is a race, and that your country has something do with with race which is a direct contradiction of the first sentence

      • CD

All I am saying is that just because a person has a certain skin tone does not mean they are from a certain country. Why does the person’s skin color have to be associated with anything? If you feel that skin color is important then let’s start classifying people by the color of their eyes and bring about negative connotations. Let’s start classifying people by the length of their legs. Let’s start classifying people by how many toes they have. All of these have zero importance in terms of a person’s character or nationality. You just don’t get it but thanks for playing along.

      • CD

“-“Lol…..you’re nationality is Dominican…but baby girl you profile pic says you black…. Wow..”

“this does NOT suggest that ‘a black person is not from the DR'”

They 100% insinuated that because her nationality was Dominican she should not have been classified as black. That is why she used the word “but” as if a person from the DR should be of a different color.

      • Dhz30

NO..person A is the one who insinuated that being dominican and black are incompatible by stating “Im dominican, not black” as if her nationality has anything to do with her race, or as you put it “that because her nationality was Dominican she should not have been classified as black”. The response ‘you’re nationality is domincan, but you are black’ is accurate and is not suggesting that person B thinks people from the DR should be a different color, you are misinterpreting what was said. I understand how you could make the mistake of assuming that person B’s use of the word ‘but’ implies that being dominican and black are in contrast, but you have to view what was said within the proper context. Person B was saying ‘while your nationality may be dominican, your phenotypical traits indicate that you are indeed of the black race,’ not ‘how can you be dominican if you look black.’ Understand?

      • Dhz30

and by viewing it in the proper context i am saying that in the black community, there is an issue of afro-latinos claiming to be something other than black..viewing it in that context it becomes quite obvious what person B is saying

      • CD

How would you classify a person of multiple heritages? Are they supposed to pick just one side or the other?

      • CD

You are blowing this way out of proportion. Any reader can tell that the comment made about a person was of Dominican status and then saying, “but baby gurl you profile pic says you black…. Wow..” That very specifically is saying that their nationality contradicts their skin color. I apologize that you are not understanding it but I am not straying from my comments. Skin color should not be used to classify a person’s nationality or character.

      • Dhz30

no no no..please read what i am saying to you and read the comment below, you are not viewing the comment in proper context and that is causing you to misinterpret what was said

      • CD

I hate skin color descriptors. That is what I have concern about. A person should not be judged on how they look.

      • Dhz30

i dont disagree with you on that point. i am not judging a person’s character..no where have i made any statement attributing behavior or intelligence or character to race or skin color. and as far as classifying a person of “multiple heritages,” are you asking, for example a person with a white mother and a black father?

      • CD

No, I never assumed you were making statements about the skin tone. I was just debating what the previous comments were in regards to one’s nationality versus race from another poster. I find it very difficult to look past racism when there are so many examples of describing a person’s character or nationality based on skin color. Take for example many articles written by professionals and their use of color descriptors. If you were to read the same article without the use of color descriptors then I would bet a good chunk of money the value and thoughts about the subjects would change.

      • Dhz30

“Take for example many articles written by professionals and their use of
color descriptors. If you were to read the same article without the use
of color descriptors then I would bet a good chunk of money the value
and thoughts about the subjects would change.” again i am in agreement

let me just say this as my last statement cuz i have to go to work in a minute..the black man in america gets shitted on by essentially everyone else, so when we see a clearly black (negroid) person talking about some “Oh im not one of them, im dominican..Oh im not black im brazilian..oh im half cherokee etc” ,and this happens so often, we look at it like damn, not only do we have to deal with racism from outside sources but we have our own people trying to distance themselves from us, suggesting that they too buy into this eurocentric view of the black man being somehow lower. So while you read HoneySnows comment and felt that he/she was saying one thing that can be viewed as negative or stereotypical, i look at his/her statement and saw something else; i feel he/she is speaking to the aforementioned issue of black self-hate..anyway we can agree to disagree on this point, and i have nothing against u brother, peace

      • CD

I see what you are saying and agree. Like I said before, a certain “race” has been classified a long time ago with negative connotations and now has to deal with it for many future generations until we all can look beyond a skin color as being negatively associated. Believe me, my family is heavily culturally diverse and my master’s degree is in technology management with an emphasis on global relations/management so I consider myself in-tune to some degree in regards to a diverse world. Plus, I have lived in all four sides of this nation as well as a few different countries so my experience of other cultures is more than many others have had the opportunity for. We have to embrace each person culturally but more importantly, individually, to utilize what they can provide to the table. Keep calm and chive on my friend.

      • Guest

“you need to understand that we have clearly defined terms, and the term ‘race’ has nothing to do with what country you live in.”

That is the very thing I am trying to point out but you keep arguing that I am wrong. Keep up my friend because you are slipping.

      • HoneySnow

        Lol…thank you!!!…

      • HoneySnow

Wow… I don’t think I actually judge her by her color love… And I’m well aware of the cultural diversity of other countries….so…I don’t have to do my research because I’m well traveled … I was just stating a fact, that her nationality is Dominican Republic but her skin tone says she’s black… Just like there are white skin tones in other countries… And I doubt very serious that white Americans will see her any different …..Speaking a different language doesn’t mean you’re a different race… Color may mean nothing in her country, but in our country, it’s everything!!!… We’re judge souly on how we look not on the accent we speak… FYI love…I’m biracial but trust and believe I’m still considered black….

      • CD

And as long as you believe that people in America solely judge a person by the color of the skin then you will continue to see a racial divide. The entire nation does not think the way you do. I know I don’t.

“I was just stating a fact, that her nationality is Dominican Republic but her skin tone says she’s black”

Well, if you were well-traveled then you would know that 73% of the DR are of mixed race (Portuguese, Haitian, Spanish, French, etc) and there is 16% white, and 11% black. So, the color of her skin being black or close to is extremely common. Just like when I lived in Curacao in the Netherland Antilles (which was dissolved in 2010 and now a constituent of the Kingdom of the Netherlands) . It seemed half of the island was of Dutch descent and the other half was of African descent. They could claim that they were Dutch because of the nation resided in even though their skin color was black. The same goes for the DR.

Brandi when I see you I see a black person. Dominican is not a race. Many of the great inventions were invented by blacks.

Nobody said a word to you. Brandi made a comment and you personally attacked her. So you are not responding at a level that was presented to you. You are responding to your own actions and personal emotions that fuel your hate fire.

    • “Respect your elders regardless of their color or face the consequences.” You’re basically saying a 17 yr old deserved to die at the hands of an unstable trigger-happy reject who stalked him. All that “positive” “do-right” “moral” talk is just blind optimism and says if you’re older than someone (as we all will be, at some point) it’s ok to stop and interrogate younger ppl OR ELSE. What’s really sad is Black folks in the same boat, all “coons” who “might be risky” by Zimmerman family standards, coming to the aid of some killer, by making the victim into the villain. Zimmerman saw dark-skin and became a judge, jury, and executioner.

      • Brick Soulja

First of all, I am Dominican and not black. Second of all, parents need to teach their kids to respect adults. Lastly, most black people do act like some ignorant crab in the bucket coons. You use straighteners just like the other women who try to look more white. “Most Black people..” You a white woman in a Black woman’s body, tawmbout “I’m not Black, I’m Dominican.” You need to get slapped, callin Black people coons. foh, thinkin if u come to Kobe defense on AHH, maybe he wife you? Ignorant ass

When are you Dominicans going learn the difference between NATIONALITY and RACE?! Dominican is a NATIONALITY dumb coon! You can be a black DOMINICAN just like you can be a black AMERICAN. But you’re from a third world country, so I expect dumbness from you!

      • Arjun Kahlon

Uhm no. Zimmerman was assaulted by Trayvon Martin and thus shot him in self defense. Zimmerman never started the altercation. He was suspicious of Trayvon due to numerous robberies that occurred in the neighborhood, committed by black male teenagers. Thus he phoned the police. Is that racist? Sure. But did it warrant Trayvon jumping Zimmerman, slamming his head into the concrete, and suffocating him? Absolutely not. Keyanna, you basically validated Kobe’s point. The facts have eluded those of you who are so emotionally invested in Trayvon (the Miami Heat players). Zimmerman didn’t simply shoot Trayvon because he saw him as a risky “n word.” He shot him because Trayvon could of potentially killed him. If I was in Zimmerman’s position, I would have shot him too.
