Chance The Rapper Said Kanye West Was Supposed To Narrate ‘Surf’

YEEZUS WAS ALMOST ON THE SOCIAL EXPERIMENT’S ALBUM

 

Chance the Rapper has been very vocal about his admiration of fellow Chicagoan Kanye West. His dream of collaborating with Yeezus has come true and they are working on an anticipated upcoming project, but fans were supposed to hear them go bar for bar sooner than later. In an interview with The Guardian, Chance revealed that Ye’ was supposed to appear on The Social Experiment’s latest project, Surf.

“He was going to narrate it at one point,” the “Smoke Again” rapper said. “In the final weeks of getting ready to put it out we had vocal chops that we were using from ’Ye talking about some of the themes of the project. Through just thinking about it, it didn’t end up happening that way. Not to say it wouldn’t have been dope as s–t!

Chance gushed further about his admiration of West, saying he wished he was his father at one point.

“The kid in me wanted a certain type of approval [from Kanye],” he said.
