Kanye West Fans Cause Chaos Outside Pop-up Store

YEEZY FANS ARE GOING NUTS!

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West’s fans reportedly caused chaos outside the rapper’s pop-up clothing store in New York.

Police almost shut down the pop-up shop in New York’s Tribeca district on Friday morning as hundreds of Yeezy fans showed up to the opening of Kanye’s The Life of Pablo pop-up store, PageSix.com reports.

Many waited for hours before pushing and shoving their way past the police, with one officer reportedly telling the crowd he would shut down the store if the chaos continued.

The rapper-turned-fashion mogul opened 21 stores in cities such as London, Berlin, Sydney, Amsterdam, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Cape Town, and fans dashed to get hold of Pablo-themed T-shirts, denim jackets and hoodies designed by Kanye and his collaborator Cali Thornhill DeWitt.

Kanye generated more than $2 million in sales at his last pop-up store event in Soho, New York, back in March.

Despite the hype, some fans were left disappointed by the merchandise, Page Six claims, with many re-selling their purchases once they left the store.

One shopper spent $1,350 and had already made a $750 profit selling to fans who had missed out on the merchandise.

“I have been here since 9pm last night (Thursday) and there are people who are trying to flip the clothes,” explained musician David Saint West. “So they are buying a bulk of clothing and selling it for a higher price.”

A representative for Kanye has yet to comment on the report.
