Ben Mor (a.k.a Benyad)

who is best known for being one half of the Hip-Hop duo Blood of Abraham, has

been nominated for a MTV Video Music Award for T.I.’s video "U Don’t Know

Me", which he directed.

“I know it’s cliché but it truly is an honor to be nominated",

Ben Mor said. "Considering [that] only five videos get picked for this

category from the entire year and [it’s a] plus that I get to go to Miami and

drink with T.I.”

Ben Mor, who has directed videos for NAS, John Legend and Young Gunz, started

his career in the early nineties as an emcee, when he and Mazik teamed up to

form the group Blood of Abraham.

The group was signed

to Eazy E’s Ruthless Records and after the untimely passing of Eazy E to AIDS,

the duo’s career was subsequently placed on hold.

Now refreshed and

resigned to independent label Basement Records, Blood of Abraham is gearing

up to release their sophomore album Eyedollar Tree in September.

Eyedollar Tree

will include a DVD with two bonus videos and a short film by Mor. The album/DVD

drops September 23, 2005.

The 2004 MTV

Video Music Awards take place at Miami’s American Airlines Arena on August

28th and will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. EST.
