In a follow up to the highly successful cult original, Cocaine Cowboys II: Hustlin’ With the Godmother has been confirmed for DVD release on July 29.

The sequel will be narrated by Charles Cosby, a lover of the notorious Griselda Blanco, also known by the aliases “The Godmother,” “Black Widow,” and “Cocaine Queen of Miami.”

Cosby opened his first crackhouse in the late 80’s, and became well known throughout East Oakland’s burgeoning drug trade.

Upon hearing about Blanco’s exploits on the evening news, Cosby eventually made contact with her after three months of phone calls and letters to her jail cell.

From there, Cosby not only became her lover but also began assisting in the day to day operations of Blanco’s $40 million dollar per year criminal empire.

The DVD aims to shed further light on the inner workings of the Blanco organization, which reached its apex in the early 80’s.

Blanco is considered a “black widow,” and thought to be responsible for the deaths of all three of her husbands at the hands of her contract killers.

The Godmother is also behind the murders of over 300 people, trafficking over three tons of cocaine, and a suicide mission to kidnap John F. Kennedy.

In 1985, she was arrested on narcotics trafficking charges and spent 19 years in prison.

She was released in 2004 and deported back to Columbia. Since then, her whereabouts are unknown and she remains in hiding due to threats on her life from numerous enemies.

She was last seen in a Bogota airport in 2007. To date, three of her four sons have been murdered in retaliation killings.

Cocaine Cowboys II: Hustlin’ With the Godmother will be distributed by Magnolia Home Entertainment.
