Nicki Minaj & Drake Reportedly Want To Remain Neutral In The Lil Wayne Vs Cash Money Legal Battle

NICKI DID NOT BLOCK BIRDMAN FROM ENTERING HER PARTY

(AllHipHop News) When Lil Wayne announced to the world he wanted to leave his longtime label home at Cash Money Records, almost immediately people began to wonder what that would mean for Young Money superstars Nicki Minaj and Drake.

The situation became even more volatile when Wayne filed a $51 million lawsuit against the label. Then over the weekend Cash Money co-founder Bryan “Birdman” Williams (aka Baby) was denied entry into a Nicki Minaj party which ignited rumors the “Feeling Myself” rapper blocked Birdman from the venue out of loyalty to Wayne.

TMZ spoke to sources supposedly close to Minaj who are claiming that was not the case. According to the source, Birdman was stopped from entering Los Angeles’ 1OAK because the club was set to close in 15 minutes. Plus, Minaj had already left the location before the Cash Money head arrived.

Insiders also stated that both Nicki and Drake were looking to remain neutral in the legal battle between Wayne and Cash Money. Wayne wants the two platinum selling entertainers to remain under his business umbrella if he were to break from Cash Money. Drizzy and Minaj are apparently hoping the issue is settled without a total collapse of YMCMB.

Nicki spoke about the public dispute between her bosses before Wayne filed his lawsuit. In December she stated, “I know that Wayne and Baby love each other, and I know they’re gonna resolve anything that gotta be resolved. Shout out to Young Money. I am Young Money. I ride with Wayne on whatever. But Baby has played such a huge role in my mental stability.”

To complicate the matter even further is the fact that Wayne’s management also has Nicki as a client. The Blueprint Group’s co-founder Cortez Bryant has already publicly backed Wayne in his efforts to split with CMB.

“Wayne carried Cash Money on his back for over 10 years when he could have left and did this on his own,” Bryant wrote on Instagram. “The most loyal person I know on earth! He don’t deserve the s**t he’s going through at this point in the game.”
