According to MTV, “The Great Escape Tour” has been pushed back. It was set to start this spring, but new dates are scheduled to begin in September. Original opening acts Nick Jonas and Tinashe will not be accompanying her.
“Tour dates for Grammy-nominated Iggy Azalea’s The Great Escape Tour, have been rescheduled due to tour production delays,” stated Def Jam, Iggy’s label. “It is extremely important to Iggy that she delivers the show she envisaged to share with her fans and that requires more time in development.”
The Wrap reports the tour is close to being canceled all together. A source tells the site Iggy has been disengaged from her representatives and refuses to do interviews to promote the tour. The “Fancy” star has already announced she is no longer posting on social media sites. Iggy’s Twitter and Instagram are now run by her management.
Iggz HQ: The tour getting pushed back only means that it'll be way more amazing than it would've been in April. Good things take time.
