EXCLUSIVE: Columbus Short Set To Star In New Reality Show

THE ACTOR/DANCER/SINGER IS LOOKING TO RETURN TO TV

The actor/dancer/singer is looking to add reality TV star to his profile. Short’s career is now being handled by Block Entertainment CEO Russell “Block” Spencer, and the show biz veteran tells AllHipHop.com he is actively working to get a Columbus Short-led docu-series into production.

“We have two reality shows right now that I’m in negotiations with. One of them is with Columbus Short called Coming Up Short,” says Spencer. “It’s not going to be a lot of bullsh*t drama. It’s going to be showing how Block Ent is rebuilding the brand for music and new artists.”

Spencer is also producing another reality series titled Rebuilding Hip-Hop Block By Block. The program will travel to “untapped” markets to search for the next breakout music stars.

“They’ll have a chance to be on a major motion picture soundtrack or in the movie. They’ll have a chance to sign with a major label. I’m going to film all of that,” explains Spencer.

Russell “Block” Spencer founded Block Entertainment in 2005. He is responsible for helping to launch the music careers of Rick Ross, Young Jeezy, Yung Joc, and Ciara. Spencer also serves as a consultant for NBCUniversal.

Besides appearing on Scandal for three seasons, Columbus Short has also acted in the motion pictures Stomp The Yard, This Christmas, and Armored. He worked as a choreographer as well.
