Uh oh! R&B Beef! Fellow solo R&B singers and TGT group mates Tank and Tyrese seemed to have had a little falling out.
Tyrese challenged R&B singers to make a pure R&B album with no Hip Hop features. Tank commented saying this challenge was shade because he felt Tyrese was acting like he’s the only person out here doing authentic R&B. Tank also expressed that Alicia Keys, Jill Scott, Anthony Hamilton and many more were also making R&B albums. He called out Tyrese as he said that it really wasn’t a challenge, and that he was just indirectly flaunting the success of his album ‘Black Rose’. There was also a video that shows Tank telling R. Kelly that he is still the King of the genre the same night Tyrese won the Centric Certifed Award. This exchange could’ve been unrelated, but fans definitely tried to make it out to be drama.
Tank ended up apologizing to Tyrese and the fans for having to witness their exchange on social media. Tank said that any problem he has with another man can be handled offline. Word on the street is, although the two have talked, everything hasn’t completely gone back to normal yet. Hopefully they are all good now.
