(AllHipHop News) A week after AllHipHop.com broke the story of Mannie Fresh’s announcement about a joint album with Lil Wayne and Juvenile, there is more news of Louisiana born rap stars teaming up for a project.
TRU-Bossalinie Records artist Vs reveals his label boss C-Murder and Baton Rouge representative Boosie Badazz have worked on music together. In an exclusive interview, Vs discussed the forthcoming Penitentiary Chances album from C-Murder and Boosie.

“In a few months, we’re about to drop this joint with [C-Murder] and Boosie,” Vs tell AllHipHop. “I’m on two joints on there. One of them is called ‘This Ain’t Living’ with just me and Boosie together. The other one is called ‘Strapped Up’ with me, C-Murder, and Boosie.”
He adds, “That’s just them two linking up on an album, doing something they always wanted to do, but never got a chance to do. By them both being incarcerated, they had time to put their heads together and come up with a project.”
Another source close to TRU-Bossalinie has confirmed with AllHipHop.com that Penitentiary Chances is set to arrive in April. The project has been described as Boosie and C-Murder telling real life street stories. T-Rhythm and Moneybeats provided the bulk of the production for the collaborative LP.
Boosie was released from Louisiana State Penitentiary at Angola in 2014 after serving nearly five years for a drug conviction and probation violation. C-Murder is currently still incarcerated at Angola for a 2009 murder conviction. The “All I Wanted 2 Be Was A Soldier” rhymer has maintained he is innocent, and his attorneys have been fighting the conviction for years.
C-Murder and Boosie Badazz’s Penitentiary Chances is scheduled for release on April 15. Boosie will be releasing his next solo album Out My Feelings (In My Past) on February 1.
