(AllHipHop Rumors) According to Hip Hop fans, XXL Magazine’s Freshman cover keeps getting worse and worse as the years go on.
It gets all of the attention in the world each year, but for all of the wrong reasons. That’s one controversial cover man!
While the 2016 class faced some criticism, it doesn’t even compare to the criticism that the 2017 class received.
Apparently it wasn’t just the fans that were giving the class and freestyles the side eye; some of the alumni had some questions too.
Lil Yachty was featured on the 2016 cover, and he is STILL criticized for his lack of substance and lyricism to this day.
In an interview with Hypebeast, Yachty showed mad love for some of the freshman such as Ugly God and Kamaiyah. He did say that most of the group bullsh-tted their cyphers though.
Although Yachty didn’t go in too hard on them, he said what everyone has been feeling: those cyphers were trash, and most of them can’t freestyle.
It’s still hilarious coming from Yachty because he CANNOT freestyle, and most people still believe that his music is trash! But we hear you Yachty!
