Eminem has released some bars seemingly aimed at Kanye West on his new collaboration with JID titled “Animals (Pt. 1).” This is controversy of the day.
The track is the second collaboration between Eminem and JID after last year’s “Fuel.”, This time, Eminem mocks Ye over a recent, deeply personal revelation. Yeah, those “cousin” comments. Here is what Em said before I get into what Royce said.
“With these magazines, I act out like Ye and his cousin/Little c#########, I’m sprayin’ and bustin’/Your s### sucks d#ck, stop sayin’ it doesn’t/That’s probably the reason there’s nothin’ you’ve bodied of recent,” Eminem spews.
Yes, everybody regarded it as a diss. Except one person that’s in the “know.” Royce.
He said, “Bro ain’t dissin YE. You’d know if he was….carry on.”

Royce is taking the fun out of this.
The lines have been widely interpreted as a direct reference to Kanye’s revelations earlier this year. In a post to social media platform Twitter (X), West stated: “My name is Ye and I sucked my cousin’s d##k till I was 14. Tweet sent.” This is definitely something Eminem would jab at in the past.
As of today, Yeezy had not responded to the lyrics.
Fans have said that there’s an aggressive tone of Eminem’s verse and wonder if it was necessary at all.
JID remains neutral, but according to Royce there’s no side. “Animals (Pt. 1)” has quickly become one of the most discussed releases of the year thanks to the Kanye West reference. Eminem is going to push boundaries. That’s what he does.
Whether Kanye takes the bait remains to be seen.
