Ray J Coins Himself “The New Diddy”—Gets Tossed Out Of Kai Cenat’s House

Ray J

The Bad Boy Records mogul is still behind bars after being convicted on two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution in July.

Ray J stirred up controversy during Kai Cenat’s Mafiathon 3 livestream this week after referring to himself as “the new Diddy” and repeatedly shouting “free Puffy,” a move that got him swiftly kicked out of the house.

The moment unfolded during a brief exchange with streamer RayAsianBoy, when Ray J was asked if he had ever attended a party hosted by Diddy. “Have I ever went to a Diddy party? I’m the new Diddy,” he said. The comment visibly stunned Cenat, who quickly asked Ray J to leave the stream.

As he exited, Ray J continued to say “free Puffy” multiple times. Earlier in the stream, he also attempted to join Cenat in the shower while a DJ played his 2005 hit “One Wish” in the background. Both moments were played for laughs, though the Diddy reference clearly crossed a line for Cenat.

Mafiathon 3, Cenat’s monthlong livestream event, kicked off with appearances from Kim Kardashian and Mariah Carey in its first two days. The Twitch marathon is known for its unpredictable celebrity drop-ins and over-the-top antics. Cenat has teased that if he reaches one million subscribers, LeBron James will cut his hair live on stream.

Ray J, who launched his own Twitch channel in January, has leaned into the platform’s chaotic energy. But his public support for Diddy comes at a time when the rap mogul has been embroiled in serious legal troubles.

Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, was arrested in September 2024 on federal charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. He remains in custody after being convicted on two counts of transportation for the purposes of prostitution in July. Public sentiment has largely turned against him following a series of lawsuits and damaging allegations.

Ray J’s decision to align himself with Diddy—even jokingly—didn’t land well with Cenat or his audience. The singer and entrepreneur has been active on social media defending Diddy in recent months, despite the backlash. Mafiathon 3 will continue through the end of September, with more celebrity appearances expected in the coming days.
