Although there were a ton of acts, showcases, events, and overall experiences to take in at South By Southwest (SXSW) SXSW, the VibeHouse was hands down the place to be. With a lineup that included The Airplane Boys, Chevy Woods, Mystikal, BJ the Chicago Kid, Timbaland, King Louie, Snoop Dogg, and Chicago’s Rockie Fresh, there is no denying that AllHipHop.com’s Breeding Ground showcase at the VibeHouse had all of SXSW on lock for at least one night.
We caught up with Rockie Fresh – the man behind the critically-acclaimed project Driving 88 – backstage to briefly talk about his experiences as a first-timer at SXSW, what his plans are once he heads back on the road, and most importantly, how it felt to technically be opening for Hip-Hop icons Timbaland and Snoop Dogg.
