YG Puts 6ix9ine On The Rolling Loud Bay Area Screen: “Stop Snitchin”

(AllHipHop News) Blasting a rap rival during a live performance with an unflattering picture has become a Hip Hop tradition. Jay-Z famously exposed Mobb Deep’s Prodigy as a Michael Jackson-esque young dancer at Hot 97’s 2001 Summer Jam concert.

During the height of his battle with Meek Mill in the summer of 2015, Drake made fun of his adversary by projecting “Back To Back” memes behind him at that year’s OVO Fest. This weekend, YG followed in the footsteps of Hov and Drizzy by putting Tekashi 6ix9ine on the Rolling Loud Bay Area screen.

YG and his 4 Hunnid crew have had problems with 6ix9ine for over a year. The Compton emcee used a Tekashi lookalike in the 2018 music video for “Bulletproof” featuring Jay 305. Later that year, YG’s artist, Slim 400, claimed he blocked 6ix9ine from entering the ComplexCon event in Long Beach, California.

It was widely believed YG’s “Stop Snitchin” track off 2019’s 4Real 4Real album was directed at Tekashi. The song was released after reports circulated that 6ix9ine began working with federal investigators against his former Nine Trey Blood associates. The “Gummo” rhymer eventually testified in open court for the prosecution where he named Trippie Redd, Casanova, Jim Jones, and Cardi B as Blood members.

During his set at the Rolling Loud Bay Area festival on Saturday, YG made it clear how he still feels about the Brooklyn-bred government witness. 6ix9ine’s mugshot was shown in the background of the stage next to the words “STOP SNITCHIN.”

Over 40,000 fans on the Oakland Coliseum grounds also had the chance to see live performances by Future, 21 Savage, G-Eazy, Blueface, Ski Mask The Slump God, Megan Thee Stallion, Kamaiyah, SOB x RBE, Key Glock & Young Dolph, Guapdad 4000, and more acts. The third annual Rolling Loud Bay Area took place on September 28 and September 29.

NFL Names SASH’s “What Would A Champion Do?” As Initial Inspire Change “Song Of The Season”

(AllHipHop News) When Roc Nation and the National Football League revealed their new partnership, the two brands announced the alliance would include Inspire Change’s “Songs of the Season.” The first song for the series comes from New York City native SASH.

The 19-year-old performer’s “What Would a Champion Do?” was heard throughout Sunday’s full slate of football coverage on CBS, FOX and NBC as well as pre-game shows, in-game, and post-game reports on the networks. ESPN will also include “What Would a Champion Do?” during the airing of the Monday Night Football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“To see ‘What Would a Champion Do?’ being used at the highest level is incredible, especially as an independent artist. This entire song was made by just me and my little brother – that’s as independent as it gets, and I think it’s important to see independent artists reach this sort of platform,” says SASH.

The creator of the upcoming Not A Formula EP continues, “I’ve been inspired by music all my life, and the reason I make music is to inspire others. Having the opportunity through Inspire Change to give back to the community with my music is a really special thing.”

“Songs of the Season” will highlight superstars and emerging artists of all genres while delivering a single that will be integrated into all NFL promotions each month during the season. The tracks will debut during an in-game broadcast and simultaneously released to all global digital streaming platforms.

All revenue generated from “Songs of the Season” will support Inspire Change grant recipients as part of the NFL’s social justice initiative. The campaign is focusing on education and economic advancement, police and community relations, and criminal justice reform.

Meek Mill, Rapsody, and Meghan Trainor were introduced as the first Inspire Change advocates of the 2019 NFL Season. As an extension of Inspire Change, Rapsody and fellow Roc Nation artist Vic Mensa joined Football Hall of Famers, law enforcement officers, and local community leaders to mentor young people at Chicago’s BBF Family Services.

“With its global reach, the National Football League has the platform and opportunity to inspire change across the country,” said Roc Nation founder Jay-Z in a statement. “Roc Nation has shown that entertainment and enacting change are not mutually exclusive ideas – instead, we unify them. This partnership is an opportunity to strengthen the fabric of communities across America.”

Did 50 Cent Confirm He’s Making A 6ix9ine/Tr3yway Biopic?

(AllHipHop News) For many observers, Daniel “Tekashi 6ix9ine” Hernandez taking the stand to testify against his former Nine Trey Bloods allies felt like a scene out of New Jack City. An actual film about the rise and fall (and rise again?) of Tekashi would likely draw a lot of interest.

Power executive producer Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson hinted on Instagram that he is trying to bring the story of 6ix9ine and the Tr3yway crew to the screen. An IG user asked Fiddy if he bought the movie rights to the rapper and his former manager/alleged Nine Trey Blood Kifano “Shotti/Tr3yway” Jordan.

“I’m working boy,” responded 50 Cent. The Queens-bred mogul is known to troll online, so it is not clear if he was actually confirming a real Tekashi motion picture is in the works.

50 embraced 6ix9ine as a “son” before the Brooklyn rapper decided to work with federal prosecutors in order to bring down the Nine Trey Bloods. In 2018, 50 Cent and Tekashi also teamed up with Uncle Murda and Casanova for the “Get The Strap” record.

In a September interview with The Breakfast Club, 50 was asked about possibly answering a phone call from Tekashi. The 44-year-old replied, “No… He’s his mother’s child now. After you do sh*t like that, you your mother’s child. Don’t call me.”

Earlier this month, 50 got into a public back-and-forth with Murder Inc’s co-founder Chris Gotti over a potential biopic about convicted drug dealer Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff. Fiddy claimed he would be telling the tale on Starz, but Irv Gotti stated he was creating the Supreme Team biopic with McGriff serving as an executive producer.

Kanye West Reportedly Collabs With A Reunited Clipse On ‘Jesus Is King’

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West spent the last several weeks taking his “Sunday Service” extravaganza to churches across the country. Ye’s fans were hoping the trek would end with the release of his new Jesus Is King album on Sunday after being pushed back from its original September 27 date

As of press time, the G.O.O.D. Music founder’s latest LP is still delayed. However, some information about the project has trickled out.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYhuuaPQUZQ

Andrew Barber of Fake Shore Drive tweeted his thoughts about Jesus Is King after hearing the album. He revealed Kanye put together as special collaboration for the collection.

“Just heard Kanye’s new album Jesus Is King and saw the accompanying film. My favorite track is the last song and it features the Clipse. Both Push & No Malice. Kenny G is also on it. ‘New Body’ has been cut from the album,” posted Barber.

Gene “No Malice” Thornton and Terrence “Pusha T” Thornton are brothers that make up the Virginia-bred Hip Hop duo known as Clipse. While both have dropped solo projects, they have not released a joint body of work since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops.

Push went on to become the president of G.O.O.D. Music. Plus, he dropped the critically-acclaimed My Name Is My Name, King Push – Darkest Before Dawn: The Prelude, and Daytona. No Malice (formerly known as just Malice) became a devout Christian and presented the well-received Hear Ye Him.

Kanye West’s Jesus Is King will be his first album since 2018’s Ye which was met with mixed reviews. Some followers of Christ are concerned the forthcoming “Gospel” LP represents the rapper co-opting Christian culture only for monetary gain.

The 42-year-old superstar also faced criticism for depicting himself as Jesus Christ on the cover of Rolling Stone in 2006 and for his Yeezus track “I Am a God” in 2013. He has incorporated religious imagery and rhetoric in his music since the beginning of his career. The 2004 album, The College Dropout, contained the single “Jesus Walks.”

First Week Sales Projections For DaBaby’s ‘Kirk’ Are In

(AllHipHop News) Back in March, DaBaby’s Baby On Baby debuted at #25 on the Billboard 200 before peaking at #7. Six months later, the North Carolina rhymer is set to earn his first #1 album.

HitsDailyDouble forecasts DaBaby’s new LP, Kirk, will pull in between 130,000 to 150,000 first-week units. That total should be enough to give the Interscope recording artist the #1 spot on next week’s Billboard 200.

However, there is one variable that could change the final chart rankings. Kanye West was expected to drop Jesus Is King over the weekend, but the project never arrived. If Ye’s “Gospel” collection hits DSPs before Friday, he could possibly collect enough units to add another Number One to his catalog.

Kirk is predicted to compile 160-180 million streams in its first week of release. Numerous tracks from the project dominated both the Spotify and Apple Music charts throughout the weekend. The music video for “Intro” amassed more than 13 million views on YouTube in 10 days.

DaBaby got a lot of star-studded backing on Kirk. Chance The Rapper, Nicki Minaj, Gucci Mane, Lil Baby, Kevin Gates, Migos, and other music acts contributed to the album.

Post Malone’s ‘Hollywood’s Bleeding’ Tops Billboard 200 Chart For Third Straight Week

(AllHipHop News) With another 149,000 equivalent album units, Hollywood’s Bleeding leads the Billboard 200 once again. This gives Post Malone his third consecutive week at #1.

Hollywood’s Bleeding is the only project to rule the Billboard 200 for three straight weeks in 2019. A Boogie wit da Hoodie’s Hoodie SZN and Billie Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? topped the tally for three nonconsecutive weeks this year.

According to HitsDailyDouble, DaBaby is projected to dethrone Post Malone on the next chart. The southern rapper’s Kirk is on pace to bring in about 130,000 – 150,000 first-week units compared to Hollywood’s Bleeding expected 115,000 – 120,000 fourth-week units.

Hollywood’s Bleeding opened at #1 with 489,000 units. The LP features DaBaby, Future, Meek Mill, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Ozzy Osbourne, and more. Post Malone also appears on French Montana’s new single “Writing On The Wall” with Cardi B and Rvssian.

Somebody’s Mad At Jay-Z?

(AllHipHop Rumors) First of all, what happened to the alleged BOYCOTT that was carrying on with the NFL. Jay-Z should not have stopped the boycott against the NFL, particularly if the outstanding issues have not been resolved. But, it seems like we have another issue. J. Lo and Shakira, a pair of Latinas are anchoring the halftime show for the Super Bowl. Since it is in Miami, Uncle Luke has some say in the matter. He’s like the mayor with all of his history with the 2 Live Crew.

Now, he didn’t really call out Jay-Z, but we all know where this road leads. Now, I personally don’t have an issue with Shakira or J. Lo. There are a ton of Brown people in Miami and both of them have international appeal.  AND they have great performances. Are they Flo Ridah, Trina or Trick Daddy – NO! But, I think they will have some sort of twist the closer we get to the big game. I mean, they gotta woo the Blacks all the way back, right? Some people are still not watching the League.

Thoughts? By the way, any word on Kap getting a job back?

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s Old Friend Calls Rapper A “Little Punk”

(AllHipHop News) Some residents of a Brooklyn community which houses a brownstone made notorious by Tekashi 6ix9ine are not feeling the rapper.

Several of 6ix9ine’s biggest videos starred dozens of reputed Nine Trey Gangsta Blood members in front of 21 Madison Street in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn.

During his testimony against former affiliates Anthony “Harv” Ellison and Ajeremiah “Nuke” Mack last week, 6ix9ine divulged that brownstone was a central hub for the gang’s activities.

Tekashi 6ix9ine testified that the brownstone is where he first befriended the man who would soon become his manager, Kifano “Shotti” Jordan.

The Feds claim Shotti is the number two man in the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

He was shipped off to prison for 15 years over a series of violent confrontations with several rap rivals, as well as members of his own gang.

Shotti is appealing his sentence utilizing El Chapo’s old attorney, Jeffrey Lichtman.

One woman at 21 Madison who appeared in one of 6ix9ine’s videos labeled the disgraced rapper “a little punk.”

“They need to give him some time, I’ll say that,” the woman told reporters with the New York Daily News.

Before Tekashi 6ix9ine learns his fate, alleged Nine Trey members Nuke and Harv will receive their judgment sometime next week.

Both men have called 6ix9ine a snitch and a liar, who set up his own kidnapping to hawk his music.

A jury is supposed to start deliberating on October 1st, and reports suggest a ruling could come in as early as Thursday.

Both men are charged in a RICO case which resulted in the conviction of Shotti, 6ix9ine’s old bodyguard and over a dozen other associates.

If you are unfamiliar with the brownstone in question, here it is in 6ix9ine’s “Gummo” video.

Kev Cartier Drops Banging Single “Bomb” Featuring Ammo

Kev Cartier is an American rapper,

songwriter and producer who is Brooklyn born and southern raised.

This 26-year-old Brownsville native is the lyrical mastermind behind the catchy club banger, “Rollie” released in 2015.

Coming from a family with deep roots in the music business,

Kev was practically born for this.

He’s represented by his father and three uncles who have been in the industry for 20+years, producing tracks for the likes of Brooklyn greats, The Notorious B.I.G, Lil’ Kim and Rakim.

For Kev, while music is in his blood, the artistry of rap didn’t take hold until the early age of twelve. He attributes the influences of BET and Hot 97 to his induction into the game after hearing Jay Z’s verse on Mya’s “Best of Me” Remix.

From then on he would rap over instrumentals, write, produce and freestyle. Kev’s inborn talent would quickly become noticed.

His single “Sauce” released in 2018 is just one of many examples of his consistent growth and artist development. Since it’s release, Sauce has reached over 100,000 YouTube views internationally.

Kev’s evolution as an artist has elevated his sound with new innovative melodies and eclectic vibes.

His latest single and music video release is an afrobeat interpretation called “Bomb” and has been featured on popular New York City based radio station Power 105.1.

Kev Cartier’s buzz is building as an emerging authentic voice of an underrepresented generation. “Rollie” and “Bomb” have since been featured on Power 105, Hot 97, SiriusXm and Spotify. All his music is currently available for purchase on iTunes.

Kanye West Gives Up Secular Music For Gospel Only Career

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Kanye West is so serious about his spirituality, that he is quitting secular music.

The “Jesus Walks” rapper made the extraordinary announcement during a preview for his forthcoming release Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience.

The album was supposed to be released on Friday but has since been postponed.

Kanye and Kim Kardashian made a special appearance during a surprise listening session for Jesus is King, and that’s when Kanye confirmed would only be making gospel music from here on out.

Jesus is King may not have hit the streaming platforms just yet, but Kanye is already selling the album.

Over on KanyeWest.com, Yeezy is peddling merchandise that comes bundled with a copy of Jesus is King.

Rakim Rumors Are About To Get Somebody KTFO!

(AllHipHop Rumors) This is what happened. DJ Vlad did an interview with MC Serch of 3rd Base fame. And the interview was pretty dope, but they revealed something that snowballed in the worst way. In the interview Serch detailed how Lyor Cohen asked him to write a song for Rakim, who the former Def Jam CEO was trying to get to crank out some new music. Serch suggested that Rakim was suffering from writers block. In the interview, he said he went and wrote a song called “Stepping To The AM” and they would go on to present to Eric B. Serch says Eric B hung up on the both of them within SECONDS. He calls back and then, according to Serch, curses Lyor out for “hours.” End of story. (By the way, this interview is from 2018.)

After this posts, Rakim does an interview with Lord Sear who botches this story and sums it up in a way that makes it seem like Serch wrote for Rakim or almost wrote for Rakim or that it almost happened or even that Ra had writers block. AND Ra responds with something like “I will knock Serch out for messing with my legacy.” Well, that didn’t go over well at all.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B26w8LyAvuJ

Well, it didn’t take long for Serch to respond and really clarify his point. And to his credit, he has a point.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B29aZ31lU6k

This is moving in real time and Serch and Lord Sear are already on and promoting the Tuesday show. So we will actually get Serch talking about the exact same thing he said initially in the first interview: THAT HE NEVER WROTE FOR RAKIM. Insert crying emoji.

https://www.instagram.com/p/B29pXwHF_D5

Serch is consistent in saying Rakim The God is his favorite.

HAPPY DAY, WORLD!

Rap Pioneer Jimmy Spicer Dead From Brain Cancer

(AllHipHop News) Legendary hip-hop pioneer Jimmy Spicer has passed away.

According to those close to him, the rapper succumbed to lung and brain cancer on Friday (September 27th).

New York City promoter Van Silk said Jimmy was supposed to hit the stage last weekend for the 46th Anniversary Of Hip-Hop celebration, but he was incapable of making the celebration due to his rapidly deteriorating health.

Jimmy Spicer was 61-years-old when he died on September 27th.

Jimmy Spicer is etched in the annals of hip-hop history, thanks to 1980’s epic 15-minute record “Adventures of Super Rhymes” and his song “Money (Dollar Bill Y’all).”

Over the years, Jimmy Spicer’s records have been sampled by a wide variety of artists, including Wu-Tang Clan (“C.R.E.A.M.” 1993), Montell Jordan (“This Is How We Do It” 1995), Kanye West (“Eyes Closed” 2014) and numerous others.

Kurtis Blow and Jimmy worked with together early in their careers as artists signed to the Mercury label.

Kurtis verified the sad news and issued a message to Jimmy Spicer’s family.

“My condolences to the family of my friend Jimmy ‘Super Rhymes’ Spicer,” Kurtis Blow, said disclosing Spicer’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help raise money for funeral expenses.

“If you have ever loved hip hop or have ever sung along to ‘Dollar Bill Y’all’ or ‘The Bubble Bunch.’ If you’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing my Father and being around his magnetic energy, whether he was rapping his 15 minute epic, ‘The Adventures of Super Rhymes’ or dancing on the spot, whether you know him as ‘Moppy’ from East New York, ‘Superrhymes,’ or Jimmy, we need your help,” Jimmy Spicer’s family said in a statement.

Is Kanye West Starting A Cult?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Who remembers when Kanye West called himself a god and not in the same vein as the Nation of Gods and Earths? I remember!

Here we are on the eve of Kanye West starting a new cult, I mean, dropping a new album called Jesus Is King. How is he a god and Jesus a king? Anyway! I am wondering why it did not drop on Friday as scheduled? I don’t know at all, but I think it may be so that it could drop on Sunday.

Last night, Kanye reportedly let people in Detroit hear the looming spiritual-based opus. But they said it wasn’t finished. So, was this delay for buzz-building purposes or did people actually get a version of the album that was not complete. Either way, they are saying it will be ready tomorrow JUST in time for another Sunday Service for the good people of Detroit. Now, will he try to part the crowd like Moses, another highly regarded religious figure?

I think not!

Anyway, just a year ago, Kanye West was a Trump-loving, MAGA hat wearing maniac that proclaimed that slaving was “a choice.” I have not forgotten that, but I suspect a lot of people have. Some have forgiven. Others have not. Either way, Yeezus has managed to change his perception in the era that prides itself on cancelling people! That is a mighty feat!

However…the use of Christianity to do this is questionable to say the least! What do you say, Christians? Non-Christians? Alleged Cult members? Speak up!

Lil Nas X Scraps Festival Appearances To Take A Break From Music

(AllHipHop News) Lil Nas X became world famous almost overnight, thanks to the success of his breakout single “Old Town Road.”

The single crossed-over and thrust Lil Nas X to the top of the charts for an astounding 19 weeks.

The song cemented Lil Nas X in the annals of hip-hop history, after the track set the record as the longest-running #1 single ever, smashing records set by Drake, Janet Jackson and Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men.

His follow-up song “Panini” is doing well, resting at #5 on Billboard’s Hot 100 singles chart.

But it looks like the rigors of the music business are taking a toll on Lil Nas X, who revealed he is taking a break from the music business.

The rapper has backed out of a high-profile appearance at Twitchcon slated for this weekend in San Diego, while his headlining show at The Sandbox Music Festival in Arizona has been axed too.

The news of Lil Nas X’s break comes just days after 90’s rocker Fiona Apple accused the rapper of jerking her out of royalties by stealing a sample from her song “Every Single Night” and used it without permission for his song “Kim Jong.”

Hundreds Of Kanye West Fans Treated To A Preview Of “Jesus Is King”

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West treated hundreds of fans to a preview of his record Jesus Is King in Detroit, Michigan on Friday.

The rapper was going to drop the album on Friday, but he delayed the project and instead quickly arranged a secret fan get together – the purpose of which wasn’t advertised before the performance.

Earlier in the day, a spokesperson verified the rapper had an event at the Fox Theatre on the day and refused to share further details.

However, lucky ticket holders who attended the gathering, dubbed “Jesus Is King: A Kanye West Experience,” experienced a sneak preview of the long-awaited gospel album.

Fans had to give up their phones during the secretive event, which also debuted a screen a clip from Kanye’s forthcoming IMAX documentary, “Jesus Is King.”

Kanye was at the theatre, and his wife Kim Kardashian shared a clip online of fans cheering the star as he made a special appearance.

Kim hit up her Instagram stories to announce the project was set to drop on Sunday, writing: “Kanye’s doing a listening session in Chicago tomorrow, then NYC (New York City) Sunday. He’s dropping the album Sunday. Just a few final tweaks to the mixes.”

The 12-track album reportedly includes the previously released track Water, which he debuted at one of his Sunday Service gospel gatherings earlier this year, along with tunes including “Follow God,” “New Body,” “Up From the Ashes,” and “Sunday.”

Hip-Hop Producer Detail Ordered To Pay Rape Victim $15 Million

(AllHipHop News) Detail ignored a lawsuit condemning him of rape, and now he’s going to pay dearly.

The hip-hop producer has been ordered to fork over a staggering $15 million in a default judgment granted to a woman named Kristina Buch.

The producer, born Noel Fisher, is accused of sexual assault by two different women.

Aspiring singers Kristina Buch and Peyton Ackley insisted Detail sexually attacked them during separate studio sessions.

Buch said she was molested by Detail following a recording session in Miami and was supposedly forced to have intercourse in front of other people.

During another argument, Buch contends the Grammy Award-winning producer physically attacked her during an argument and that is when she officially ended her association with Detail.

Detail, who has crafted hits for big-name artists like Lil Wayne, Jay-Z, and Beyonce, neglected to answer to any summons or court orders, resulting in the default verdict for Buch on Wednesday (September 25).

“No one should have to suffer the type of abuse Ms. Buch has suffered at the hands of Mr. Fisher. We are gratified that the court saw that Mr. Fisher should be held accountable for subjecting Ms. Buch to this horrible abuse,” Buch’s attorney, William J. Briggs told the AP.

Detail’s legal difficulties are far from over.

He is still facing another legal battle with Peyton Ackley, who says Detail forced her to record Buch’s alleged rape.

Sources stated Detail refuted all of the allegations, but he has lost numerous production jobs and has been evicted from his home over the scandal.

Criminals Order Drake To Leave Los Angeles

(AllHipHop News) Toronto rap star Drake received a frightening message in Los Angeles earlier today.

According to reports, vandals struck the rap star’s OVO store in Los Angeles and defaced the property.

The exterior of the building was spray-painted with a warning, instructing the rapper to “LEAVE L.A.”

Sources said the graffiti attack happened sometime between Thursday night and Friday morning when the message was discovered.

Video of the damage to Drake’s OVO store was caught and put on the internet as well.

Representatives for Drake have refuted articles claiming that his Hidden Hills, California home was also bombed.

Paul McCartney Says Kanye West Was “More Cerebral” Than John Lennon

(AllHipHop News) Paul McCartney and Kanye West vowed not to tell anyone they were making music together – in case the sessions didn’t work out.

The pair penned the track “FourFiveSeconds,” which they recorded and released in 2016 with Rihanna to commercial success.

In an interview with British singer/songwriter, Gary Barlow, for U.K. radio program “Gary Barlow Meets Sir Paul McCartney” – as part of the BBC’s Radio 2 Beatles celebration – The Beatles musician confessed he wasn’t sure the sessions would be a success.

“What happened was I got word that Kanye wanted to work with me. So I just thought, ‘Well, you know, I love his stuff so, here goes nothing’,” Sir Paul McCartney said. “So we did some secret sessions and we both said if it doesn’t work out we just won’t tell anyone!”

The musician revealed the pair worked on three tracks in total – “Only One,” which he called “a real nice song”, and one called “All Day,” for which he gave the rapper a riff from an old song he’d been working on.

Paul added the sessions with the Yeezy mogul differed from those with his Fab Four bandmate John Lennon, which he described as “more cerebral,” explaining: “It was just talking and thinking and me plonking away a little bit.

“And you record everything and he takes it away and kind of does stuff with it and just a month or so later, he sent back this record.”

The BBC Radio 2 celebrations are in honor of the 50th anniversary of the band’s seminal Abbey Road album, which has been remastered and will be reissued, along with 23 bonus recordings and demos, on 27 September.

Jhonny 1k Brings Raw Energy With New Single “Avoid It”

Representing new energy from “The Empire City of the South” Jhonny 1k is swerving through the ATL music scene, dropping storytellers like a dirty south Biggie.

What is the meaning behind his name? Jhonny 1k simply stated, “Staying true to yourself, keeping it one thousand, having the confidence of the universe.”

That confidence can be felt listening to his music, even with the beats he is rapping over, you can feel the mentality of the song. Jhonny 1k wants to bring the talent, skills, and synergy back to rap music.

He stated “his goal with the music is longevity,” and his ambition to showcase his lyrical talent, with the game not based on skills anymore.

Jhonny separates himself from the average 2019 mumble rappers and the main message he wants to send to the kids, and brothers in the streets, “Don’t quit, keep going.”

An example of this is on the song “Avoid It.”

“We gotta find our own way through, it’s nowhere but up, from where your standing at now,” Jhonny 1k said.

What’s in store for 2019? Jhonny 1k is dropping three more exclusive mixtapes before the year is out, more videos, more shows more appearances and more blog features.

Jhonny 1k’s music can be heard on all major streaming platforms, such as Apple Music, Tidal, Spotify.

This is all brought to you by a new record label called “Art Official Entertainment based out of Atlanta, Georgia.

Created by CEO Ardres Murphy, Art Official is a company that represents authentic and raw artistry.

Look for Mr. Murphy to fill up his roster with young potentials & eventually turn them into superstars. Starting with Jhonny 1k.
