Video Of Fabolous’ Fury At Girlfriend Hits The Net

(AllHipHop News) Fabulous’ image is taking a huge hit, now that footage of an altercation with his girlfriend is going viral.

Fab, born John Johnson, has been charged with aggravated assault and making terroristic threats after he supposedly punched Emily in the face seven times and knocked out her two front teeth.

TMZ.com published footage earlier today, capturing the altercation last Wednesday, which lead Emily to tell the police about the March 7th assault.

The video features Fabolous in a rage, as his bodyguard attempts to hold him back.

But the 40-year-old continued to fume as he held a shiny object and threatened to shoot Emily’s father, who labeled the rapper a “coward” for being out of control.

According to a police report, Fabolous flew into a rage when he found Emily was in Los Angeles, via an Instagram post.

The pair eventually had a confrontation at their home in Edgewood, New Jersey, where the rapper severely beat her and knocking out her teeth.

Emily’s father and brother reportedly removed two handguns from the house, which infuriated Fabolous even more.

Cardi B Gets Accused Of Stealing New Song “Be Careful”

(AllHipHop Rumors) Here we go again. Cardi B is accused of stealing a song 4 years old from an up-and-coming rapper. This isn’t a good look, especially since “Bodak Yellow” was borrowed heavily from a song from Kodak Black. So, for this to happen…yikes! On top of it, this is the lead single from her first album with comes out in about a week.

Look at the stats from the person that wrote it.

““Be careful” was not written by Cardi B nor is it her track. @lifeofthepardi was rapping the exact same lyrics over the exact same beat last year in a video on his instagram.. #CardiB #BeCareful #BodakYellow #AtlanticRecords #Frauds

And the crazy part is that Kelani jumped on the wave and commented. It was not pretty.

Travis Scott Claims Conspiracy Robbed Him Of His Lamborghini

(AllHipHop News) Travis Scott is suing a car dealership he claims conspired to rob him of his money.

The rapper claims he was coaxed into believing he could trust a man named Richard Martinez and his company VIP Services.

According to a lawsuit, Travis thought he would be getting the royal treatment with Martinez’ company VIP Services, since the business had brokered similar car deals for a number of celebrities, including the Kardashians.

Travis said he decided to plunk down a $70,000 deposit to close a deal for a 2015 Lamborghini Huracan, which is apparently owned by a man named Jorge Maldonado.

The rapper says he sent the money months ago, but he still hasn’t received his Lambo.

According to TMZ.com, Travis believes VIP Services and Maldonado have conspired to scam him out of his five-figure security deposit.

Travis Scott is suing to get the $70,000 back plus damages.

Docu-Series “Rapture” Is Brimming With Authenticity

By Lauren deLisa Coleman

(AllHipHop Features) If you’ve been waiting for the next, thought-provoking hip hop documentary, wait no more.

Mass Appeal and Netflix has released a new Hip-Hop docu-series called “Rapture,” and the premise is pretty intriguing. Throughout eight episodes, each of which features a recording artist in Hip-Hop — Nas and Dave East, T.I., Rapsody, Logic, G-Eazy, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, 2 Chainz and Just Blaze – Rapture provides an insight look these artists’ lives with their families and friends. But it’s more than just a mindless whirl of stage performances and studio sessions. Where this project wins is production cadence unique to each artists actual statement within this particular snapshot of time in their lives.

For example, the deliberate pacing of T.I.’s reflective episode is directly reflective of his psycho-social journey to make a difference in today’s socio-politically driven world that is tense, in large part, due to race relations in America today. From T.I.’s meeting with legends from Harry Belafonte to Andrew Young (though we would have loved to see inclusion the artist meeting with such Black female legendary activists as Angela Davis or others) we witness the unfolding of T.I.’s approach to using his cultural platform to drive awareness about sensitive issues in our society today.

However, the rich and very often-times humorous cadence of Nas’ navigation of status as Hip-Hop legend is fast-paced. This is a rare look at Nas’ interaction with other artists, thoughts on his impact over the years and much more. Nas’ brother “Jungle” is a true stand out here who told me, “I love how they used a lot animation to get my points across when I was telling certain stories about me and Nas back in the day.” The particular integration of Dave East, his backstory told by both him and his parents, and his journey into the Nas camp is, at times, very, profound yet definitely entertaining.

In short, “Rapture” is a well-produced package though we would have loved to see more women included in front of and behind the camera. Perhaps in the near future.

“Rapture” can be seen on Netflix exclusively.

Rich The Kid – ‘The World Is Yours’

Despite the fact that his longstanding beef with Lil Uzi and issues with his BM have been making headlines lately, Rich the Kid is staying golden as his project The World Is Yours is pure flames*.* Earlier this month Rich dropped his “Plug Walk” video as the rap rapper continue to roll along unscathed by the recent drama. Peep his project below which is def his biggest one to date with features from Kendrick, Future, Khalid, Jay Critch, Rick Ross, Chris Brown, Quavo, Offset, Lil Wayne, Trippie Redd, Swae Lee and more.

Bow Wow’s New Beef Could Have Home Beat Down Again!

(AllHipHop Rumors) The older I get, the more I realize rap beef is dumb. Back in the day, it was a challenge to be more lyrically DOPE than another rapper. Now, rappers beef over other things.

Let’s take Bow Wow and Trippie Redd. Both rap artists are from Ohio. Bow Wow, at this point, is an “elder” even though he is only in his early 30’s. Trippie Redd is one of the up-n-coming rappers and he’s only 18. Now, Trippie Redd is sort of like a horrorcore dude that is on the same label as Tekashi69 (6ix 9ine).

Instead of working together, these dudes are at odds over who “runs” Ohio. I am unable to claim a song from either, but I know kids that love. Bow Wow songs. He’s a legend to kids that are actually about the same age as Trippie. But not Trippie. He’s levying threats to his OG.

Thanks AK…Just what I needed to write about as Stephon Clark continues to be maligned in the press.

Justin Bieber Signed Artist Khalil Teams Up With Frankie Carrera

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpi7Z4Fsv54&feature=youtu.be

Growing up in a musical family, R&B/Hip-Hop artist Frankie Carerra was always around music.  But it wasn’t until he blew up on his college campus at Arizona State University that he really started taking his career more seriously as an artist

As kid Frankie’s father played the drums and Frankie Carrera was trained on classical piano, which eventually lead to him writing more R&B/Hip-Hop styled songs in high school, but his unexpected success in college was on a whole new level as he was quickly becoming a viral sensation.

“When I did my song and video Motherland and it blew up on campus at ASU, I was getting a lot of comparisons to Sammy Adams and artists like Asher Roth who had experienced success in their college years.  I was like an overnight celebrity on campus after Spring Break. When I got back to school I had a shitload of new followers, it was really a crazy time. ” Frankie Carrera said.

Finally after expanding his fan base with various releases on campus and trips back and forth to LA, Frankie Carrera was able to connect with longtime manager for Khalil, Blake Robbins.

“I ended up meeting Blake and Khalil, they knew of me and they were amazing people and really helped me get started.  I needed a place to record in LA and they helped pull that all together so that I could realize my dreams of recording and taking this to another level,” Frankie said.

Frankie Carerra ended up writing his song “Noche” shorty after meeting the guys and recorded the song separately while Khalil was touring abroad with Justin Bieber.

“While Khalil was in London recording and traveling with Justin, I began to record at their studio in LA and had actually recorded the song Noche really quickly just stepping in the booth messing around. But when Khalil came back he jumped on the record and that was pretty much it. Brandon the engineer said ‘he heard the record and Khalil got on it in like 20 minutes.'”

R. Kelly’s Manager Had To Work Hard…To Keep Him Away From Underage Girls!

Author: Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea)

(AllHipHop Rumors) Questions have always surrounded singer R. Kelly and more information about him is being revealed in a documentary.

The documentary premiered this week on BBC 3. One of the biggest mysteries has surrounded Kelly’s relationship with singer Aaliyah.

In the documentary, “R. Kelly: Sex, Girls, Videotapes,” his former manager confirms that Kelz did have a marriage ceremony with Aaliyah and he was present. He also claims that he would have to keep R. Kelly from talking to underage girls.

“There’s been several times where I’ve had to say ‘no, that’s not going to happen’ because of the age of the person,” R. Kelly’s old manager Rocky Bivens said. “I didn’t care if he got mad at me. Because it was a choice with me.”

For those who don’t know, a marriage license was published showing a 27-year-old R. Kelly was married to an 18-year-old Aaliyah. The only problem is that Aaliyah wasn’t 18 and was actually 15 years old at the time of the nuptials.

The marriage didn’t last long. Aaliyah’s family helped make sure the marriage was later annulled.

Rae Sremmurd’s ‘SremmLife 3’ To Feature Future, The Weeknd, Zoë Kravitz & More

(AllHipHop News) Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee recruited A-list entertainers for the duo’s upcoming three-disc LP package. Rae Sremmurd’s label head, Mike WiLL Made-It, talked about SremmLife 3 during a discussion with Beats 1.

Mike revealed Future, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Pharrell, and The Weeknd make appearances on the project. The Ear Drummers team also got actress/singer Zoë Kravitz to contribute bars. SremmLife 3 is scheduled to arrive in April. It will include a Swae Lee side, a Slim Jxmmi side, and a joint Rae Sremmurd side.

Additionally, Zane Lowe chatted with Mike WiLL Made-It about his single “Aries (YuGo) Part 2.” The posse cut features Big Sean, Pharrell, Quavo, and Rae Sremmurd.

“I felt like that song was so good. I had to put it on my project Ransom 2 with just Pharrell on it. But when we did it, Pharrell always wanted artists on there. He always wanted rappers to have verses on there,” Mike told Lowe. “So I was like if I used it for Ransom 2, I for sure can come back and do another version with artists on the verses.”

He continued, “Originally I just wanted to put all Aries on there because the songs called ‘Aries’ and Pharrell’s an Aries. So I put Quavo on there, I put Big Sean on there. But Srem, they always loved that beat. So he was like, “Bro, you gotta let me get on there.” I can’t turn down a Swae Lee verse. Then Slim Jim heard that and was like, ‘I can hop on there?’ And I cant turn down no Slim Jim verse. They both killed it. They’re the only two on there that’s not Aries, so we just changed the meaning for Aries and just made it like always repping in everybody’s section. Just being that n-gga with the bag.”

Q-Tip Explains How Elon Musk Connects To ATCQ’s “The Space Program” Short Film

(AllHipHop News) SpaceX founder Elon Musk is an interesting figure. Some people see him as a genius that will lead our society into its technological future, but others see him as just an eccentric billionaire with too much time on his hands.

For Hip Hop legend Q-Tip, the South African-born businessman has a similar vision as A Tribe Called Quest’s final music video. Tip spoke to Beats 1’s Zane Lowe about the visuals for “The Space Program.”

“It’s so funny because when we were making the song it was kind of conjecture about this would be a space station that has been built. Then right during the time we did the song and we were just fiddling with it, we started seeing reports of Elon Musk,” recalled Q-Tip.

He added, “I’ve read a lot of news. I saw this article with Elon Musk saying that by the mid-part of next year, 2019, he’s going to be able to offer the first trip for a small party of people to Mars. And I just thought its kind of happening serendipitously that we have this song.”

Warren Fu directed ATQC’s “The Space Program” short film which premiered exclusively on Apple Music. The clip was released in conjunction with the A Tribe Called Quest/Billionaire Boys Club “The Space Program” capsule collection.

(AllHipHop News) The 8-part Hip Hop docuseries Rapture is now streaming on Netflix. A trailer for the episode featuring Logic made its way to the internet.

“I’m a dude who looks white who is also black who has to fight to be accepted,” says the Maryland rapper in the clip.

Today, rap music is the heartbeat of Mother Earth, and Netflix is the embodiment of the eyes from which she sees,” said director/producer Sacha Jenkins.

He added, “It is a great honor for Mass Appeal to work with Netflix to produce our new series Rapture. We’ve been telling Hip Hop stories since ’96, and as natives we feel it is our duty to do the movement justice. Rapture is bangin’. Straight up.”
