The singer will perform Mighty River from her movie “Mudbound,” which she co-wrote with Raphael Saadiq and Taura Stinson.

Club Owner Upsets Tekashi 6ix9ine By Canceling New York Show

(AllHipHop News) Tekashi 6ix9ine may be celebrating the release of his debut mixtape “Day69,” but performing his music live continues to be a challenge.

Another show featuring the controversial Brooklyn artist has been canceled, this time on Staten Island.

The owner of Eve Ultra Lounge said the rapper was booked to play on March 2nd, but the concert has been nixed over his criminal sex record for sexual misconduct.

On April 10th, the 21-year-old Brooklyn rapper is scheduled to be sentenced, after pleading guilty to three counts of sexual misconduct with a minor, who was featured nude in one of the rapper’s videos from February of 2015.

“What he did was disrespectful to women,” a representative for Eve Ultra Lounge said. “He’s upset because he’s out a lot of money.”

Over the past month, venues around the country have canceled shows featuring Tekashi 6ix9ine either because of his criminal record or because of his blatant gang ties to the Bloods.

Australia Doesn’t Want Young Thug But He’s Good In New Zealand

(AllHipHop News) Young Thug’s issues with the country of Australia continue, and it’s costing the rapper valuable business.

Thugger, who now goes by the name SEX, had to scrap a series of shows in Australia, due to ongoing Visa Issues.

Young Thug had a show lined up in Sydney to headline the inaugural Sydney City Limits music festival on Saturday, as well as a headlining slot alongside Future in Melbourne.

“Sydney City Limits is devastated to announce Young Thug will no longer be making the journey to Australia to perform at the festival this Saturday. We know that many of our patrons will be just as disappointed as we are.

“Unfortunately, Young Thug has been unable to comply with the requirements for processing his Australian entry visa application and this has now made it impossible to secure visa approval in time for Young Thug to travel from the USA in time to appear at Sydney City Limits,” said Live Nation Australia.

According to reps for Live Nation in New Zealand, the rapper was granted a Visa into their country and will perform as scheduled at the Auckland City Limits spokeswoman as planned.

“Regardless of the Australian situation, we are working to get Young Thug to come to play his NZ shows,” the representative said.

50 Cent Clowns Troy Ave; Casanova and Memphis Bleek Love It

By Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea)

(AllHipHop Rumors) 50 Cent is one of Hip-Hop’s veteran figures. Over the course of his career, he hasn’t been one to bite his tongue.

The Jamaica Queens MC has gone to war with the likes of Ja Rule and Rick Ross. He also had battles with Fat Joe before rebuilding the bridge years later.

I say that to say if 50 Cent will let it be known if he doesn’t like you or something you’ve done. Right now it seems as if he’s letting his feelings towards another New York rapper be known.

The rapper in question would be Troy Ave. Troy Ave ruffled feathers after releasing his “2 Legit 2 Quit” music video.

The song features lyrics about the incident that landed both Troy Ave and Taxstone in jail. The incident also left others wounded and Troy’s friend and bodyguard deceased.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BOd3WUAAIFR/?utm_source=ig_embed

An animated Troy Ave can be seen pointing a middle finger to someone from the witness. The lyric can be interpreted in different ways, but many have interpreted as an indictment for snitching.

During his interview with The Breakfast Club, Troy Ave compared his tension with fellow New York rapper Casanova to 50 Cent’s beef with Rick Ross.

Troy actually said Casanova is pulling 50 Cent type ‘Pimping Curly’ moves” as he keeps working like Rick Ross.

Casanova enters the picture due to his friendship with Taxstone. Recently 50 Cent caught wind of the situation and decided to offer his opinion via Instagram.

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bfi0XOoFfUL/?utm_source=ig_embed

“Middle finger from the stand, smh Cas on his Pimpin curly, you gonna just do like ROSS and keep working.,” said 50 Cent in the post.

The whole situation surrounding Troy Ave making his 50 Cent-Rick Ross comparisons is weird. After Troy Ave was shot in 2016, 50 Cent was one of the rappers who visited him at the hospital.

50 Cent and Troy Ave have also collaborated on music in the past. The true nature of this rift will reveal itself soon.

Meanwhile, Casanova and his label boss Memphis Bleek have chimed in and taken aim at Troy Ave too.

Do you think 50 Cent should have posted about Troy Ave on Instagram?

Young Thug Will Act Deaf In Support Of Brother!

By Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea)

(AllHipHop Rumors) Young Thug is a man of many different flavors. He’s one of rap’s biggest constantly evolving figures.

If Thug isn’t changing his name then he’s changing his fashion game. If it’s not the fashion game then it’s his album name.

Young Thug recently made news for announcing that he would be changing his stage name to “SEX.” This comes after previously referring to himself as “Jeffrey,” his government name.

He would later release a project titled “No, My name is Jeffrey”. That project featured songs named after some of his musical inspirations.

Young Thug is now making another announcement as he states he won’t be releasing any more music this year. He came to the decision as a way to support his brother.

One of Young Thug’s brothers is deaf and Thug wants to live the experience with him. It’s a commendable act that many wouldn’t partake in.

In an interview with HYPEBEAST Thug says:

“I’ve got a brother who can’t hear or talk, so I want to act deaf for a year. So, I ain’t going to put out no music this year.”

He also says he plans on releasing his long-awaited debut album “HiTunes” in 2019.

“In 2019, I’m going to put out probably Hi-Tunes,” said Young Thug.

So, for now, we’ll have to wait to hear more new music. However, one thing we know for sure is we haven’t heard the last from Young Thug.

Tekashi 6ix9ine’s San Antonio Show Goes On With The Help Of Police

(AllHipHop News) Tekashi 6ix9ine can thank San Antonio police for helping him avoid any major altercations during his show in San Antonio last night.

That’s because police arrested a trio of gang members in San Antonio, who warned the rapper not to show up for his show last night at Bar 23.

The men were taken into custody at the San Antonio International Airport by police who had warned the public that they were on high alert and would be monitoring the situation.

This proved to be true when undercover officers received a tip about the vehicle the three suspects when we traveling in.

The police eventually encountered the suspect accused of making the threats to Tekashi 6ix9ine online and took him into custody.

All of the men in question had warrants out for their arrest, for petty infractions like traffic violations.

“As far as I know they did not have any weapons, but I do know they (police) were still searching the vehicle,” San Antonio International Airport spokesman Rich Stinson said. “We are all very proud of our police department that we have at the airport and their awareness of what’s going on.”

One of the suspects fired up his Instagram Story and broadcasted the cops stopping him live.

Take a look.

T.I. Fears Government Abuse In An America Without Guns

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop star T.I. fears the government will “enslave” Americans if citizens are banned from bearing arms.

The rapper and producer spent several months in jail back in 2009 for federal weapons charges and he was also put on house arrest for a year and forced to perform 1,500 hours of community service following his 2007 bust for possession of three unregistered guns and two silencers.

Although firearms landed him in big trouble in the past, T.I. is still convinced U.S. citizens should be allowed to own firearms, despite the outcry for harsher gun laws following the Valentine’s Day massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, which cost 17 people their lives.

“It’s a tough one,” he mused to TMZ on Thursday. “I think you should probably make it more difficult for people who aren’t mentally stable to have guns… (but) I just honestly feel like if you lose the right to bear arms as a citizen, then you know what I’m saying, it’s easy to enslave. It’s easy for the government to enslave people when they don’t have the right to bear arms.”

T.I., real name Clifford Joseph Harris, Jr., was also indicted for carrying weapons as a convicted felon, but he doesn’t think to focus on former criminals is the solution to eradicating shooting deaths in the U.S.

“I think mental stabilization needs to be a big part (of gun legislation)… Just not being a felon isn’t enough,” he noted. “We see that, that isn’t working. People think that (it’s) the felons that’s causing all the problems, but you know, it seems as though people who have been given a gun license, who bought guns legally… those are the ones causing all the mass hysteria, so I think that our system’s broken.”

Jimmy Kimmel And Guillermo Poke Fun At Drake’s ‘God’s Plan’ With $100

https://youtu.be/QZL2NrrhjHY

(AllHipHop News) You have got to love it with Jimmy Kimmel and his sidekick the ever-lovable Guillermo get on something.

Drake’s philanthropy has been the topic of must talk. Hopefully, not by the IRS. But, Kimmel and company have opted to take a different route than pontificating the sincerity or lack of over their platform. Instead, “Jimmy Kimmel Live” decided to craft a masterful parody remake of Drake’s “God Plan” with Guillermo giving out $100.

People were limited to getting things from Guillermo for $.99 and under.

The real treat is seeing Guillermo kinda-Milly Rock in the grocery store around elderly people.

‘Black Panther’ Score Album To Join Soundtrack On Billboard 200 Chart

(AllHipHop News) The Kendrick Lamar-curated Black Panther soundtrack is on pace to lead the Billboard 200 for two straight weeks. Another musical collection connected with the blockbuster Marvel movie is headed to the album chart as well.

Billboard reports the Black Panther score is expected to land among the Top 100 most popular albums. The set collected around 8,000 equivalent album units the week ending February 22.

Swedish composer Ludwig Göransson oversaw the score. To capture the sound of the fictional nation of Wakanda, he visited African countries in order to record local musicians.

Previously, Göransson scored Fruitvale Station, Top Five, Creed, and Central Intelligence. The 33-year-old songwriter/producer also worked with Childish Gambino and Chance The Rapper.

Cardi B Blasts Donald Trump For Suggesting Teachers Carry Guns

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Cardi B is hitting back at President Donald Trump after he suggested arming teachers with guns as a way of making schools safer.

The U.S. leader proposed the solution to combat gun violence on campuses following the deadly shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida last week.

However, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker took to Instagram to share her disgust over Trump’s controversial idea.

“Imagine a old ass female teacher bussing a burner (gun),” she wrote. “This man really out his mind. America must be entertainment to other countries.”

The caption appeared alongside a meme of a confused looking LeBron James with a statement criticizing the low early salary educators are paid.

“y’all want teachers to effectively prepare our youth, carry straps, and bust back at school shooters but at the same time only pay them $40,000 a year,” the post read.

In another image, the Bronx native noted that metal detectors are only used at schools in low-income neighborhoods.

“Ya wanna know what’s the problem?” the star asked in text across a white backdrop. “That the government only put metal detectors in schools in the HOOD!”

“I remember getting search every morning in high school,” she added, recounting her own high school experience. “Even parents who picked up they kids got searched.”

Mary J. Blige, Common & Miguel Set To Perform At 2018 Academy Awards

(AllHipHop News) Mary J. Blige is up for two trophies at the 90th annual Academy Awards taking place on March 4. The legendary vocalist will also perform at the ceremony.

The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul will sing the Mudbound record “Mighty River.” Blige earned a Best Original Song nomination for the ballad, and she is competing in the Best Supporting Actress category for her role in the Netflix movie.

Oscar-winner Common will team with Andra Day to perform the nominated song “Stand Up For Something” from Marshall. Miguel will be on the ABC broadcast with Natalia LaFourcade and Gael Garcia Bernal to present a live rendition of “Remember Me” from Coco.

In addition, Keala Settle will perform “This is Me” from The Greatest Showman and Sufjan Stevens will perform “Mystery of Love” from Call Me by Your Name. Oscar show producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd stated, “We’re excited to have these talented artists showcase the powerful contribution music makes to filmmaking.”

Mo’Nique & Charlamagne Tha God Clash Over Netflix & Donkey Of The Day

(AllHipHop News) Last month, Charlamagne Tha God used his “Donkey Of The Day” to call out Mo’Nique for her Netflix boycott over alleged “gender bias” and “color bias.” The radio show host defended the streaming service decision to offer other comedians Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, and Amy Schumer more money than Mo’Nique for a comedy special.

This week, CTG and Mo spoke face-to-face on The Breakfast Club, and the conversation mostly centered around the DOTD segment. The sometimes intense exchange included the comedic legend referring to Charlamagne by his birth name Lenard.

Monique’s husband/manager Sidney Hicks also called into the show to talk about their issues with Netflix. Throughout the 46-minute interview, Mo’Nique and Charlamagne went back-and-forth over topics such as racism, sexism, contract negotiations, industry blackballing, sexual misconduct, and media influence.

https://www.google.com/sorry/index?continue=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JpvC3j9Qxus&q=EgQi3HnaGNzugvkFIhkA8aeDS_rMPM2Ptw7yX113QMZjpp6W-3sjMgFy

“We’re saying pay [black women] equally. You’re saying, ‘Oh, Monique. This is an isolated situation.’ Well, then what that says is you don’t know the history of this business that you’re in,” the Oscar winner told Charlamagne. “You sit behind this microphone and try to be the guru of black culture. I’m gonna need you to know the history of us before you begin to label us. And once you know the history, you know I’m not saying anything unique, brother.”

Charlamagne responded, “I just don’t understand how you can justify making $13 million in 2018 for a stand-up special.”

Sidney then jumped back in by asking Charlamagne if he had read the actual offer presented by Netflix. After admitting he only read “some of it,” Mo’Nique fired back by saying CTG should read all of it, and Sidney claimed the offer was for $500,000 which would have also blocked Mo’Nique from performing stand-up for two years, possibly causing her to lose $2 million from touring.

Charlamagne questioned the couple if they made a counter-offer to Netflix. Mo’Nique accused him of “not doing his homework” because she had already released emails detailing the negotiations. However, Sidney had to clarify that they did not actually present a counter-offer, but Netflix allegedly declined to further negotiate on the specifics of the deal.
