(AllHipHop News) The bus driver involved in Lil Wayne’s 2015 bus shooting believes Birdman and Young Thug may have struck secret deals with prosecutors.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the bus driver, whose real name is Alvin Lewis, thinks it’s strange that Cobb County, Georgia prosecutors named Birdman and Young Thug as co-conspirators in the alleged shooter’s indictment, but “not bring any charges against them.”
Lewis claims Jimmy “Peewee Roscoe” Winfrey threatened to “spray” the bus on April 26th, 2015, after a dispute at Compound nightclub, shortly after Lil Wayne hopped off the stage.
K’ona Lisa is next up to take over the female rap game. Describing herself as a “hard ass artist,” the Houston native is first and foremost a mom and a wife, married for 7 years with 4 beautiful girls. But don’t let that distract you from her music, K’ona makes bangers.
Whether she’s singing or rapping, the 25-year-old takes her craft very seriously. When she raps, she likes to “pop a lot of s##t,” she adds with a chuckle. When she sings, she hopes to use her voice to connect with emotions. Whatever lyrics escape her mouth, she likes for other people to say it too — giving her reassurance knowing they’re feeling it also.
Carl Crawford, nicknamed “The Perfect Storm” is also known to be the one who discovered Megan Thee Stallion, investing $1.5 million into jumpstarting her career.
Now, he puts that same trust and passion into his newest signee, K’ona Lisa. Currently, her single “Lit Lit” has been taking over airwaves and strip clubs across town, a record produced by Houston legend June The Jenius.
AllHipHop: How’d you find your way to 1501 Entertainment?
K’ona Lisa: Instagram. Shout out to instagram, just me doing freestyles. I live in Atlanta and somehow, someone in Houston saw one of the freestyles I did. I did a freestyle to Megan [The Stallion] “Cash s##t” when it was hot. It had just hit the radio, I’m like “I’ma go and do a freestyle to that.” I actually did know who 1501 was when I did the freestyle. I ended up doing the freestyle and somebody in Texas posted it. He commented under it saying, “this s##t is hard!”
The crazy thing about it, I was just listening to Megan’s song “Realer.” In the song she says, “I’m the 1501 Queen.” Literally I’m listening to the song, then I get the notification “1501 just tagged and said it’s hard.” I tell my husband like “wtf?” So I go on his page and of course, I see it’s Megan The Stallion’s label. That was definitely exciting. I built a rapport with him from there. He came to Atlanta and got me. It was over a span of two months he watched me. Since I knew he was watching me, I was going hard.
AllHipHop: What were you doing?
K’ona Lisa: A lot of videos, a lot of freestyles. Any song that was hot, any beat that was hot, I was doing a freestyle to it. I guess he saw the consistency and the hunger.
AllHipHop: Do you freestyle everything or do you write?
K’ona Lisa: I write. Modern day when people use the term “freestyle,” a lot of people misconstrue it with “freestyling off the top of the brain.” But the definition of a freestyle can also be writing a random select of words, off the top to a beat. That’s what I consider a freestyle. I’m a writer. I don’t necessarily come off the brain. I like to sit down and write, think about metaphors. Structure a song.
AllHipHop: How long have you been doing this?
K’ona Lisa: I’ve been writing for a while. I wrote my first song in the third grade. I took it to my sister and she helped me. I remember the song and everything. I’ve been writing since the third grade, no cap! [chuckles] I love writing.
AllHipHop: How was the independent grind before 1501 came into the picture?
K’ona Lisa: When I say always, I’m dead serious. I probably videos on YouTube before Instagram was even Instagram, 10 or 11 years ago. Where if I take them off privacy and put them out to the world, the date would show 10 years ago.
As a kid, I didn’t really have the support that I would’ve wanted, so I was doing the YouTube grind. Doing freestyles and singing on YouTube. Once I became of age, I started putting the money into myself. Started perfecting my craft, getting my sound together. 2 or 3 years ago, I really started putting the bag behind myself. Going broke, literally.
AllHipHop: “Lit Lit” is a banger! Bring us back to studio session.
K’ona Lisa: That’s wassup. I did “Lit Lit” with June The Jenius, shout out to him. He’s a Platinum-selling producer, dope as hell. We made that beat from scratch. He was able to really capture my sound, he perfects that very well. The studio session was a vibe. It was me and him, and a few other people. It wasn’t too much going on. I like to have candles. I like to have weed. I like to have a little liquor to get in a vibe. s##t, I did my thing.
AllHipHop: How are you balancing being a mother of 4 and a rap career?
K’ona Lisa: It’s hard. It’s new. My kids are 5, 4, 3, and one. They’re with my mama right now, so they’re definitely in good hands. I thank God I have her, but it’s definitely hard. Because it’s new to me. I’ve never been away from my kids until I got with 1501, had to start moving around and traveling. Prior to that, I had never a day been away from kids. It’s new but I’m a Libra. I’m all about scales and balances so I’m figuring it out. It’s trial and error as I go.
AllHipHop: How does it feel to have people saying that you’re new Megan of 1501?
K’ona Lisa: I don’t necessarily like the comparisons, to be called the new Meg. I’d definitely say I’m K’ona Lisa, the new hot female artist that’s coming up after Meg. We just happen to be on the same label, chasing the same dream. I hate the comparison actually. [chuckles] Not even going to cap, because it’s not even a comparison. If you listen to the music, y’all are reaching. But coming up behind a female who’s running this s##t right now is very exciting. It’s very exciting because I know my capabilities, and I know what I’m going to do. I’m big on manifesting s##t.
AllHipHop: What are you going to do?
K’ona Lisa: I’m going to take over this s##t! [chuckles] I’m going to take over the rap game. I’m going to take s##t over. I manifest s##t. I speak s##t into existence. I put the work behind what I say. I have the talent. When I say take over, I don’t necessarily mean downing any other females, but I know my level of determination and my strive to just win. I got 4 girls to feed so I’m hungry. I’m very hungry to prove to the world that I’m going to do it. I’m going to be at that level, if not higher. It’s exciting.
AllHipHop: What are some goals for yourself as an artist at this point in your career?
K’ona Lisa: I want to drop this project. I want this project to really capture a core fanbase. As of now, I have 14K followers. My page adds up, the fanbase is there. I want it to continue to grow, but I want it to be deep. The stage that I’m at right now, you’ve either watched me or you’re watching me at the stage that I’m about to really excel. I want to establish a real core relationship with these people who do see the vision before everybody else just hops on the wave.
Another thing is that I want to hit the charts. My goal is to hit the charts with two or three songs this year. The music is going to speak for itself. I’ma just keep putting in the hard work. So I would definitely say tap into my fanbase, hit the charts, and keeping making music. I want to collab with a lot of other females.
K’ona Lisa: I’ve collabed with Renni Rucci. I f##k with her, she’s a real one. I’ve collabed with Martina Marie. She’s out of Houston as well, I f##k with her. Those are the only two females at this point. But I do have a feature with Duke Deuce, he’s with QC. I have a feature with Bankroll Freddie, he’s with QC.
AllHipHop: You tight with Quality Control?
K’ona Lisa: I saw they were up and coming and I was f##king with their sound. I’m like “s##t, let me get them on my project.”
AllHipHop: Anything else you want us to know?
K’ona Lisa: Listen to my project HERE. iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, whatever it is, I want you to be riding in your car. I want you to have in it your ears. I want you to be cleaning your house. I want you to be doing something where you can really focus on the music, really listen to it and give an honest opinion. Take the time to listen and hear, it’s on the way. A whole lot of 1501 s##t!
(AllHipHop News) Greg Kading, the former detective who worked with the Los Angeles Police Department on Tupac Shakur’s and Biggie Smalls’ murder cases, says he wants an arrest immediately.
Kading believes infamous Los Angeles gangster Duane “Keefe D.” Davis should be arrested and charged for his role in the rapper’s death.
According to an interview Kading did with the Daily Star, Keefe D. has confessed to his involvement in Tupac’s murder on several occasions.
“Keefe D. should be arrested, Keefe D is a self-confessed murderer,” Kading said. “He has confessed publicly multiple times about his role in the murder of Tupac.”
He continued, “And I cannot think of any case in American crime history where a confessing murderer is allowed to continue and go speak blatantly about his involvement in a crime. It is unprecedented.”
Sedrick, who runs a book and herbs shop, had a lot to say to the interviewer about why Hussle almost invited the death angel to his door-step.
He had money and nobody, even his gang members, was gonna let him just eat.
He said: “Nipsey was stupid, he was stupid. He didn’t have, his gang didn’t protect him and they wasn’t going to protect him when he got that money.”
“It’s too risky, there’s too many dudes that aren’t gonna like you… Nipsey for one, he should have never been at that store without security. He thought he was untouchable,” Sedrick said.
But in addition to him looking like easy Shark Tank prey, Sedrick also seems to think that Hussle was too flagrant with calling people out their names. And in the hood more so that the n-word or the b-word, the s-word is the worst moniker to have.
And Nip called Eric Holder the s-word in public… a hood no-no unless you want some smoke. And Holder brought that.
Hussle, according to the transcript in the pre-trial hearing, is alleged to have said it 24 times. Sedrick expounds on why “that’s the worst thing you can say.”
‘You gotta go kill that n##ga man… if you call me a snitch and I ain’t a snitch. It’s the equivalent of being called a child molester, that’s the level that’s on.”
“You don’t disrespect somebody, he talked down to him, he was making accusations about him,” Sedrick said.
(AllHipHop News) Institutions like Brooklyn’s Kings County hospital have told their nurses that they have to use hand sanitizers to clean disposable masks and that they must keep them for a full week.
They are doing this because there simply are no masks to do a surge in coronavirus infections.
Even though the federal government is sitting on 1.5 million N95 surgical masks in storage, they are expired.
The CDC has said that they were approved to be dispatched to the thousands of hospitals and health care providers desperately in need.
But word is that if those masks go out, they are going to the TSAs in the airports.
Thank God for people like Atlanta’s own, Future.
The Grammy-winner, his FreeWishes Foundation, and Atlanta Sewing Style have come together to partner in efforts to provide masks for healthcare professionals who have been impacted or working with patients impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
His organization, Freewishes foundation has collaborated with Atlanta Sewing Style to be proactive about solving this problem, with a very basic notion: MAKE THE DAMN MASKS.
The rapper, who has a song entitled, “Masks Off,” sees that a small effort like this can make a difference and so he is putting his resources where his heart is.
So his “Mask On Challenge” is a natural way to inspire his fans to think smart and put their noggins to work to do something great for these health care providers, who are so challenged.
“There is so much that needs to be done during this crisis and if everyone can step up in some way, we can all get through this together as we serve our community,” Future’s mom Stephanie Jester said. “I think that our healthcare professionals are the heroes in this situation, and they are risking their lives for everyone, so it is our responsibility to help protect them.”
“It is important to my brother, Future and I that we are of service to our community, especially during this pandemic and throughout the year. This is why our family created the foundation”, Tia-Wilburn Anderson, co-founder of the Freewishes Foundation added.
If you are interested in donating to the Mask On Campaign email in**@********es.org or visit www.freewishes.org.
(AllHipHop News) After submitting his request to get out jail, authorities have moved Florida rapper Kodak Black to Niagara County Jail.
How do we know?
Because Kodak Black can tweet out, despite being an inmate doing a few years in prison on a gun charge, or simultaneously facing rape charges in South Carolina.
As an effort to reach out to his fans and solicit letters and maybe little loot for his commissary, Kodak listed his new prison address.
“This Where I’m At Until This Corona s### Ova Wit Niagara County Jail P.O. Box 496 5526 Niagara Street ext. Lockport, NY 14094.”
Clearly, he ain’t lying.
When you look him up on the Niagara jail inmate list he pops up. Don’t type in Kodak Black, but enter in his real name Bill Kapri and his name and mugshot appear.
(AllHipHop Rumors) OK, you guys emailed, DM’d and texted the owners of the site and complained about something I put on the site about Kodak Black. They got so mad, because I called him something related to the coronavirus. Well, changes happened editorially and that’s that. But, I need to know what yall see in ol’ boy. Anyway, he is making headlines again. This time….a rap from jail.
This is what people are talking about:
“This for the little kids in Africa, stomachs touching they back/And the kids in China been eating bats for a snack /They need to be wiser and I ain’t talking Bill/Cause Corona got the whole world in fear”
Here is the rest of the rap.
Well, he does it again…in the rap he says some stuff that may be “off-putting.”
“I wonder what’s gonna be the excuse when the world ending/
And I’m just hoping when it do I ain’t in prison/
Wearing another n##### boxers, my dick itching/
And my lady ain’t been writing me she miss me, yeah!/
I ain’t gon’ lie, I be feeling like crying/
And f#####’ beefing with my cellie ’cause he s####### all the time/
I’m tryna stay updated wit this Hip-Hop s###/
And my son don’t answer the phone, he on his Tik Tok s###/
And COVID-19 ain’t got nothing to do with me ’cause I’m from 1800 block–it ain’t got nothing to do wit me!”
I am definitely not one of these Negroes, but that is just wrong!
Kodak Black was sent to jail for almost four years late last year after pleading guilty to federal weapons charges. Lil man also faces up to 60 years ADDITIONALLY for two more felony gun charges. I think he has eve more ou there.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper/actor T.I. has been added to the cast of an upcoming Aretha Franklin TV project as her one-time lover, fashion designer Ken Cunningham.
Cynthia Erivo will star as the music icon in “Genius: Aretha,” an authorized limited series which will chronicle the life and legacy of the late Queen of Soul, and although production was halted earlier this month due to the global coronavirus chaos, show officials have unveiled a number of new cast additions.
T.I. will play socially-conscious New York entrepreneur Cunningham, who approaches Aretha to invest in his fashion business and ends up embarking on a relationship with the singer.
He eventually became the singer’s road manager and fathered her youngest son, Kecalf Cunningham, who was born in April 1970.
Meanwhile, “Notorious'” Antonique Smith and acting newcomers Tina Fears and Ethan Henry have also been added to the line-up, with Henry set to portray civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr.
The news was released to coincide with what would have been Aretha’s 78th birthday (March 25th).
Producers at America’s National Geographic network marked the occasion by releasing a new image of Erivo as the Respect legend.
“Genius: Aretha,” which also stars Courtney B. Vance as the musician’s father, reverend and civil rights activist C.L. Franklin, had been due to premiere this spring, but will now launch at a later date.
The TV series isn’t the only screen project about Aretha in the works – Jennifer Hudson is also playing Franklin in a new movie biopic, titled “Respect,” which is expected to debut this Christmas instead of its previously-announced October opening.

“When Drake and I sat down with Robert Greene it was incredibly inspiring,” the “Hotline Bling” hitmaker’s producing partner Adel ‘Future’ Nur said in a statement. “The laws allow for a wide range of dynamic storytelling, and Quibi allows us to tell these stories in bite-sized chapters similar to the book.”
In 2009, rap star 50 Cent also released a similar concept with Greene called “The 50th Law.”
Set to launch on April 6th, Quibi will offer over 50 shows featuring and developed by Tyra Banks, Don Cheadle, Idris Elba, and Chrissy Teigen.
(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly is hoping the ongoing coronavirus pandemic will be his get-out-of-jail card, insisting he’s not safe behind bars.
The disgraced singer’s attorney, Steven Greenberg, has filed a motion, in which he implored lawmakers to release his client ahead of his upcoming Illinois trial, because he’s at risk of contracting COVID-19.
“No matter what steps they take the sanitation will be substandard, the risk of an internal pandemic at the MCC (Chicago, Federal Bureau of Prisons) is great,” Greenberg told TMZ.
According to the documents filed, Kelly insists social-distancing is impossible in the jail and hygiene items like soap are only available to inmates who can afford to buy them.
He also claims that making inmates stay behind bars during a pandemic is “tantamount to making them drink poison.”
Greenberg explains his client is willing to wear electronic monitoring if he is released on bail and stay at an apartment complex in Chicago with his girlfriend, Joycelyn Savage.
(AllHipHop News) French Montana is facing a sexual battery lawsuit from a woman who alleges he was one of several men who sexually assaulted her at his California home.
According to court documents, an unnamed woman, who filed the suit as a Jane Doe, is suing the hip-hop star, real name, Karim Kharbouch, a member of his entourage, Mansour Bennouna, and bosses at his label Coke Boy Records.
The lawsuit accuses French and his employee of assault and battery, sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and label chiefs of negligent hiring, supervision, and retention, and negligence.
The woman claims that she was invited back to the “No Stylist” hitmaker’s home after they met at a recording studio in the early hours of March 28th, 2018 and that she was plied with drink, including a shot that caused her to blackout.
She alleges French’s employee “sexually assaulted, sexually harassed, and raped” her, and the star, “sexually assaulted, sexually harassed” her.
Doe states that she remembers “several men coming in and out of the bedroom” and attacking her while she was incapacitated and that she believes French “was one of the men” who sexually assaulted her.
The alleged victim states she “regained consciousness” around 1:30 p.m with Bennouna “spooning” her and that she “felt a pain in her pelvis, lower back and v#####.”
The lawsuit states that after leaving the rapper’s home, she had a rape kit administered and that the investigation reportedly showed the presence of semen, after which she reported the rape to the police, accusing French of sexual assault.
She is seeking unspecified damages for the “extreme emotional distress, anxiety, flashbacks and depression” she allegedly experiences and claims the trauma halted her burgeoning career as a model.

(AllHipHop News) Back in January, Megan Thee Stallion released a record titled “B.I.T.C.H.” which borrowed elements from Tupac Shakur’s “Ratha Be Ya N*gga.” That same month, the Houston-raised rapstress spoke about being motivated by Pac.
“I had just finished doing a show. I cannot remember what state I was in, but I had left my show and I was about to take a shower. I had hit my A&R and I’m like, ‘I wanna remake “N.I.G.G.A.” by Tupac,'” said Megan at that time.
In a new sit down Q&A with Genius, Megan once again brought up the late 2Pac. The video interview featured the 25-year-old Hip Hop star breaking down the lyrics to the “B.I.T.C.H.” track off the Suga EP.
“What inspired the song is that I super love Tupac. ‘N.I.G.G.A’. is like on my playlist. So, I’m just listening to it and I’m like, ‘Hell nah, this would sound good if a girl really flipped it,'” explained Thee Stallion.
She continued. “I really like the way Tupac speaks. His cadence, his flow. He’s just very dominant. He just gives big top energy and I just feel like I do the same. When he’s talking, he just really be talking that sh*t that I like. I feel like when my Hotties [are] listening to me, that’s how they feel.”
The Genius “Verified” segment with Megan Thee Stallion became one of YouTube’s Top 10 trending videos on Thursday and Friday. “B.I.T.C.H.” debuted at #31 on the Hot 100 in February before falling to #79 in its sixth week on the Billboard chart.
(AllHipHop News) The nationwide self-distancing efforts, as a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, are causing people to find ways to entertain themselves without going out. Many deejays have been providing hours of stress relief by spinning tunes on Instagram Live from their homes.
One of the largest virtual parties was hosted by Derrick “DJ D-Nice” Jones. One of his IG Live broadcasts pulled in over 100,000 viewers with real-time shout outs from notable guests like Michelle Obama, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders, Kamala Harris, Janet Jackson, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Rihanna, Stevie Wonder, Mark Zuckerberg, and many more.
For his first cable news interview about the live-streamed “Homeschool at Club Quarantine,” D-Nice spoke with MSNBC’s The Beat with Ari Melber. The Boogie Down Productions affiliate chatted with the television journalist/Hip Hop head about what he personally took away from the historic social networking moment.
“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that I feel like we hit a re-set on life. I know it’s a hard time, but now we’re starting to see what’s really important to us like family and friends and community,” D-Nice told Melber.
He continued, “That was part of the experience that I had. It was all of these people that lifted me up. I was feeling alone at home, and I felt so connected to people through music, through playing music on the gear here in my living room. It was like this virtual world I was in. People came together.”
On Wednesday, D-Nice teamed withMichelle Obama’s When We All Vote non-profit, nonpartisan organization to deejay the “Couch Party” voter registration event on Instagram. According to reports, the When We All Voter initiative received 407,824 text messages from eligible voters.
“It was incredible. The goal was set for us to just register 50,000 new voters and by the end of the three-hour set, we had registered 407,000 new voters. Out of this bad time, we’re making some great progress and doing some fantastic things and that happened to be one of them,” said D-Nice on The Beat.
(AllHipHop News) The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemichas caused millions of Americans to be out of work at the moment which could lead to hunger concerns. The label home to Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, and City Girls is assisting in helping some people in need.
Quality Control Music’s CEO Pierre “P” Thomas and COO Kevin “Coach K” Lee announced a $100,000 donation to GOODR. With QC’s aid, the Jasmine Crowe-led company will provide grocery deliveries to 1,000 families in the metro Atlanta area during the COVID-19 outbreak.
117 boxes done. Heading to Conyers, Ellenwood, Morrow, Decatur, Clarkston, Fayetteville, Hiram and Atlanta just to name a few. Did you know that every box we send comes with 20 pounds of produce, five meats, bread, rolls, eggs, cereal, milk, water and much more.@TheGoodrCopic.twitter.com/25gZkt40fY
At Goodr, we believe that hunger isn’t a scarcity issue. It’s a logistics issue. Even with many social programs that aim to end hunger, the current food supply chain ecosystem in the United States has failed to solve this problem which has grown into a national epidemic. Every year in the United States, we waste over 72 billion pounds of edible food, yet 42 million people are suffering from food insecurity. At the same time, over $40 billion in tax benefits for businesses goes unclaimed annually. We believe the solution is simple: Feed more, waste less. Goodr provides a secure ledger that tracks an organization’s surplus food from pickup to donation, delivering real-time social and environmental impact reporting analytics. The Goodr model aims to provide a triple-win solution by improving an organization’s bottom line through charitable tax donations, reducing its greenhouse emissions from landfills and getting its edible surplus food to local communities in need.
Families with children and seniors can now submit a request form for delivery now by visiting Goodr.co.

(AllHipHop News) Rob Kardashian has hit back after his ex-fiancee Blac Chyna enlisted the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) to investigate him, claiming their daughter Dream suffered multiple burns while under his care.
After three-year-old Dream returned to her mother’s house with a “severe second-degree burn” on her leg after being with Rob on March 21, Chyna turned to the DCFS to look into the reality star because she was concerned about “her daughter’s physical and emotional well-being,” according to her attorney Lynne Ciani.
It was the second time Dream had returned from Rob’s house with a bad burn.
However, Rob has insisted that his former nanny was to blame for both incidents, and she is in the process of leaving his employment.
“Unfortunately Dream has had two accidents in the last month while with this nanny,” Rob’s attorney Marty Singer said in a statement. “Following an investigation by the DCFS and the police in which Rob fully cooperated, he has every reason to believe that there will be no findings of any safety issues in his home.”
The statement went on to allege that the DCFS have also visited Chyna’s house amid third party concerns about Dream’s wellbeing, after she “arrived to Rob from Chyna with many unexplained injuries including rashes, cuts, bruises and a dislocated arm”.
“It is unfortunate that Chyna feels the need to publicly miscommunicate the situation and has once again wasted valuable public resources by calling first responders in a desperate attempt to smear Rob’s name in response to his ongoing lawsuit against her for full custody of their daughter,” Singer’s statement concluded.
