Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA Shuts Down Xenophobia Against Asians

(AllHipHop News) The world has been molly-whopped by SARS-CoV-2 in a way that no other disease has ever affected the globe.

Most commonly known as COVID-19 or coronavirus, the disease, which originated in Wuhan China, is uber contagious.

Since December of 2019, the disease has spread throughout the world like fire-Beyoncé-gossip.

After many leading American politicians dismissed it as a foreign phenomenon or elevated flu, they woefully had to change their tunes as almost 200,000 people have contracted the disease in the United States – so far.

Now it is a pandemic. Now it is a national emergency.

Now the disease is a source for said politicians to point the finger and dig up another illness: racism.

President Donald Trump, who sits on top of the United States’ political food chain, has publically linked COVID-19 to Asia.

He repeatedly calls the disease the “Chinese Virus,” garnering critique from people who say his attitude has added to the rise of violence against Asians in this country.

RZA has based so much of his career on creating a bridge between Asia and America through his music, which has been heavily influenced by Asian culture.

RZA took it upon himself as a leader to speak out against any discrimination towards Asians.

He went to Instagram and post:

“Peace and blessing to all the people of our communities. Community is a compound word derived from ‘Common’ and ‘Unity.’ What we all have in common is our Humanity. What we are unified in is our place under the sun. We are all being affected in some capacity by this Covid 19 virus. So when I hear that some people are singling out our ‘Asian’ brothers by attacking, discriminating, verbally abusing them, etc. It’s appalling and unacceptable. This conduct reduces us backwards to the racial bigotry that our communities have long fought against. Viruses, Bacteria, or any other harmful microbe does not discriminate their hot. This problem is a Human problem, so may we all stick together to combat it united as a Global Community.’

According to a report released by the Asian Pacific Policy & Planning Council, at least 750 alleged racist or xenophobic incidents against Asian Americans have taken place across the country since March 18th.

Nav Talks Having A Pop Smoke Feature For His Next Project

(AllHipHop News) For the last month, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson has been promoting his involvement in a possible posthumous project by Pop Smoke. Apparently, Fiddy is not the only person that has unreleased vocals by the late Brooklynite.

Canada native Nav recently spoke to Zane Lowe for New Music Daily on Apple Music. The XO/Republic recording artist revealed he has another track with Pop Smoke that will appear on his upcoming body of work.

“I’ll give up who it is, but I’m not going to play it. It’s Pop Smoke. Thank God, that night we did that song ‘Wolves,’ we squeezed out another song,” said Nav. When Lowe mentioned the emotional environment associated with having a song featuring someone that has passed away, Nav responded, “It kind of gives like a different kind of vibe to it. It’s kind of a melancholy vibe to it.”

Pop Smoke broke out as a Hip Hop up-and-comer with the 2019 hit “Welcome to the Party.” The 20-year-old Republic signee born Bashar Barakah Jackson was murdered during a home invasion on February 19.

Prior to his death, Pop Smoke scored a Top 10 entry on the Billboard 200 chart when Meet the Woo 2 peaked at #7 in February. Pop and Nav’s “Wolves” appeared on the deluxe version of that MTW2 mixtape.

Nav’s most recent studio album, Bad Habits, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart in 2019. The New Music Daily interview also included the 30-year-old rapper/singer/producer discussing his new single “Turks” with Gunna and Travis Scott.

The Weeknd’s ‘After Hours’ Album Debuts At No. 1 With Record-Breaking Streaming Week

(AllHipHop News) The Weeknd is the new first-week sales king of the year. His After Hours album launched at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart with 444,000 opening-week units, surpassing BTS’ Map of the Soul: 7 (422,000 units).

444K is also a personal career-best for the singer-songwriter born Abel Tesfaye. Previously, 2016’s Starboy debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 with 348,000 units. The Weeknd now has four Number One albums in his discography.

“Big thanks to everyone involved, and of course the fans! Love you guys  ,” tweeted Abel on Sunday evening. Later that night, he posted a link to three new songs that are part of the deluxe version of After Hours.

https://twitter.com/theweeknd/status/1244397491736346626https://twitter.com/theweeknd/status/1244403576429920256

The last R&B album to have a bigger sales week than After Hours was Beyoncé’s Lemonade in 2016. Queen Bey’s critically-acclaimed, Grammy-winning collection brought in 653,000 units in its initial week of release.

In addition, The Weeknd’s After Hours scored the all-time biggest streaming week for an R&B album (220.7 million streams). He actually replaced himself at the top of that list by beating the 175.2 million streams for Starboy.

According to industry forecasters, The Weeknd could end up with the #1 album and the #1 song in the country at the same time. “Blinding Lights” is projected to dethrone Roddy Ricch’s “The Box” at the pinnacle of the Hot 100 chart following the song’s 11-week reign at #1.

DJ Akademiks Blasts Metro Boomin For His Response To A Social Media Post

(AllHipHop News) A Hip Hop blogger and a Hip Hop producer are not seeing eye-to-eye right now. DJ Akademiks’ decision to upload screenshots of Metro Boomin’s recent tweets led to a digital dispute between the two public figures.

Metro defended billionaires against faultfinders that had a problem with the super-wealthy only donating millions of dollars to help people affected by the coronavirus outbreak. Akademiks did not post all of Metro’s tweets about that subject to his Instagram account, and the Boominati Worldwide founder addressed the IG omissions.

“You trying to be slick only posting a few of the tweets. I’m not for negativity. Just keep me off of your gossip page all together please,” wrote Metro Boomin in Ak’s comment section.

Akademiks fired back, “Wondering why u in ur feelings bout this… nobody was being slick. You’re just sensitive.” He also added, “Relax. Ain’t that serious. Seen world star post the same tweet. Don’t see u on their post like that.”

The Everday Struggle panelist did not stop with just those two responses to Metro’s comment. Ak uploaded a separate Instagram post which blasted the Not All Heroes Wear Capes album creator.

“@metroboomin stop being sensitive n*gga. Ain’t nobody being slick. WorldStar posted the same thing … go look AINT see u under their post having a [hissy fit]. Block me [I don’t care]. Gonna post what I want still,” typed Akademiks.

Cardi B Reacts To Rumors She’s Suing Atlantic Records

(AllHipHop News) Belcalis “Cardi B” Almánzar is involved in several respective lawsuits at the moment with a blogger, a photography agency, a tattoo model, and others. However, reports that she is suing her label, Atlantic Records, appears to be fake news.

Rumors began circulating on social media that Cardi filed a suit against Atlantic. Court documents were posted to Twitter and Instagram in connection to a 2018 legal battle involving the Grammy winner and her former manager Klenord ‘Shaft’ Raphael and his KSR business.

Atlantic was not named as a defendant or a plaintiff in the Almánzar/Raphael suit, but that did not stop critics of the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker from wrongfully concluding there was dissension between Cardi and her current label. She addressed the gossip with a lighthearted response.

“@AtlanticRecords there’s a rumor out there that I’m suing ya? is it true? I don’t remember ,” tweeted Cardi on Sunday night. The official Atlantic Twitter account did not directly respond to the Hip Hop superstar, but the company’s verified page tweeted about Cardi as recently as March 28.

Drake Posts Face Photos Of His Son Adonis

(AllHipHop News) Most of the world learned Aubrey Drake Graham was a father because of Pusha T’s scathing diss track “The Story of Adidon.” Despite that back-and-forth battle taking place in 2018, Drake never showed what his child looks like to the public.

That changed today when the OVO leader posted several photos of Adonis on Instagram. Drake also uploaded pictures of his own parents and Adonis’ mom, Sophie Brussaux. The social media reveal appears to be in response to the need for social distancing because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Drake wrote in the IG caption:

What is most important for you right now is to connect to your own inner light. This will create the biggest opening of all. Trust that you have all of the power within to make this happen, and in order to do that connect to the people and things that bring you a lot of joy. When the mind starts to move into overthinking or fear, shift your attention right away to something bright. It doesn’t matter what has happened in the past or what is happening around us now, you can always make the choice to break free of the wheel of suffering and panic and open up to your own light. We are powerful manifestors , so once you make the choice in the moment to shift your awareness to something good, it will show you in your reality. Be conscious, especially right now of fears coming in from others, and recognize that not everything should be held by you. Laughter is your best medicine, but tears can also be a powerful release. Let go of any judgment you may have around that. Remember that you are never alone, and if you need to be reminded of that ask for support and it will show up. Everything comes down to intention, and even though there are conflicting energies circling around us you must KNOW…It will rebuild. But in order for that to happen, you have to do exactly that. Trust. You have the biggest heart and that is your greatest gift. It’s impossible to always control your surroundings, but when you shift the focus to how you want to feel, everything will conspire to assist you. I love and miss my beautiful family and friends and I can’t wait for the joyful day when we are all able to reunite. Until then please keep your lights on.

Cardi B Worries Fans With Stomachache Tweet

(AllHipHop News) Cardi B has fans worried about one of her most recent tweets.

The Bronx rapper tweeted on Sunday evening about having a stomachache lasting over a day.

She shared, “I have such a uncomfortable stomachache for the past 24 hours.” Paired with a facepalm emoji, she concluded, “I’m so irritated by it .”

Cardi’s fans then went into a frenzy, replying to her tweet, speculating that the rapper may have coronavirus.

The star has been pretty vocal on social media about COVID-19 and her thoughts about the United States’ lack of preparation and handling of the pandemic.

A twitter user named @Lil_Myzz_Shady responded to the tweet with Cardi’s viral coronavirus video.

Some fans even took it further in the replies to her stomachache tweet, thinking she’s pregnant.

A user named @BardiUpdatess tweeted, “Better not be a baby in there…” accompanied by a gif of the rapper herself. Whatever the cause of Cardi’s stomachache, well wishes to the rapper during this scary time.

Lizzo Believes Social Distancing Will Bring People Closer

(AllHipHop News) Lizzo shared an uplifting message with fans when she appeared on The Iheart Living Room Concert For America on Sunday night, hosted by Elton John.

The “Truth Hurts” hitmaker joined stars including Mariah Carey, Billie Eilish, Alicia Keys, Shawn Mendes, and Camila Cabello, who all performed on the broadcast via live link, as they self-isolate amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Addressing viewers, Lizzo reflected on the global health crisis, insisting, “We can not let this tear us apart!”

She said: “The social distancing is something that we’re doing for our health, but we have to come together closer as a people. Call a friend that you haven’t spoken to in a while. Call a family member.

“This is a very real pandemic. I know we watch TV and we see a lot of fear on television, but we can’t let the fear spread faster than the virus. We have to let love spread.”

During Lizzo’s appearance, “Rocket Man” hitmaker Elton also gushed over the star, telling her she inspired him with her music.

“When anything goes wrong in my life, I always blame it on my juice!” he hilariously sang to her, referencing her hit 2019 tune, “Juice.”

Did Drake Just Preview A Song With Griselda?

(AllHipHop Rumors) It looks like the internets have done it again! They found some vocals from the man himself – DRIZZY! Drake was a bit late to get down with the Griselda Records Team that happens to add or give street cred to anything that they touch. Now, we all know Drake has no street cred like me.

But, we ain’t talking about street cred right now – we are talking about Hip-Hop. Hip-Hop is where good music matters and Drake is one of the dudes at the forefront in this era. I wish Kendrick worked as hard as Drake, but that’s another story completely. On the flips side, those Grizzy dudes bring the heat in every form and fashion with the exception of commercially popular stuff. Apparently, they are still very wealthy, but they have not really mainstreamed despite being on big ass Time Square billboards and late-night TV shows. So this is mutually beneficial.

And I happen to believe the song will be dope! What do you think -the preview is below?

In a three minute video, Diddy emphasized the importance of protecting healthcare workers during this tough time.

“We all can help. We can’t just sit back and leave our healthcare workers abandoned and unprotected,” the mogul captioned a video he posted on his socials. “Over the next few days I’ll be locked in and focused on finding ways to directly support our healthcare workers but I don’t have all the answers.”

50 Cent Explains Why Put “For Life” On TV Instead Of Film

(AllHipHop News) 50 Cent’s new show on ABC “For Life” is loosely based on the life of Isaac Wright Jr, an inmate who was wrongfully convicted on drug charges and sentenced to 70 years to life in prison.

Wright Jr. went on to study law and obtain his degree behind bars and eventually defended and represented himself to freedom.

Starring Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, the rapper, actor, and mogul also executive produced and stars in the series as Cassius Dawkins.

Fif spoke to the Chicago Tribune about his role in the series and the powerful story within the show.

50 Cent chose to tell the story in a series, rather than a film because it wouldn’t give enough time to tell the account in depth.

“A feature would have only given me two hours to explain the journey,” he stated. “How do you explain it? The man learns law under circumstances where the system itself is criminal — this already gives us a procedural show that you haven’t seen before.”

50 proceeded to explain how unique Wright Jr.’s story is and how strong the attorney is.

Issac stated when asked about his story being told on television, “There was a period where this was not something I wanted. From the day I got out, it was an evolutionary process…”. He continued, “But as time went by and I finished law school, it became clear to me that I needed a platform. For those people that I cannot reach out and help, this show is my tentacles.”

Wright Jr.’s character, Aaron Wallace is played by Nicholas Pinnock. The series airs Tuesday nights on ABC at 10/9c.

EXCLUSIVE: R. Kelly Tells Judge It’s Not Illegal To Spread Herpes

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly’s has fired back at a New York STD law as he fights to get a disturbing charge dismissed in his child sex abuse/racketeering case.

Earlier this month, the “I Believe I Can Fly” hitmaker was accused of deliberately infecting his victims with Herpes, although he has denied having the incurable STD.

The Feds say R. Kelly gave Herpes to at least two women.

One was an underaged Jane Doe, while the second woman allegedly contracted the STD from R. Kelly in 2017.

R. Kelly’s lawyer Steven Greenberg just filed documents challenging a New York law that has been on the books since 1943.

Section 2307 of the New York Public Health Law makes it illegal for someone who knows they have an “infectious venereal disease” to have sex with another person without telling them.

But Greenberg believes the law prevents people in New York from having sex altogether and therefore must be unconstitutional.

“The law does not punish the transmission of herpes, nor does it punish the failure to disclose to another that one has an STD,” Steve Greenberg argued. “Instead, it prohibits anyone who has an STD from having sexual intercourse. It is this wholesale prohibition that the government does not even attempt to address – nor can it…”

Greenberg claimed the statute being used to target R. Kelly is “puritanical” and was enacted during a time when interracial sex was illegal, and same-sex marriages weren’t even considered.

Greenberg called the law “wholesale prohibition” on sex and under the current law, tens-of-millions of people with Herpes and other STDs would be banned from being intimate with their partners.

“The statute at issue calls for a complete and total prohibition on sexual intercourse, regardless of whether one is married or not, regardless of whether consent has been contained, and regardless of whether proactive measures have been taken to ensure a lack of transmission,” Greenberg continued. “The State of New York certainly has a rational reason to want to control the spread of STDs. However, the State cannot do so by completely banning sex – which is exactly what the statute achieves.”

R. Kelly is facing multiple charges, including sexual exploitation of minors, racketeering and moving females over state lines to have sex.

R. Kelly should be going to trial in July for the charges in Brooklyn, although the date could be affected by the court closings caused by the coronavirus currently consuming New York.

And R. Kelly still faces criminal charges in Chicago and Minneapolis too.

“Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” Star Stricken With Coronavirus

(AllHipHop News) “Love & Hip Hop Hollywood” star Sincere Show has revealed that he has Coronavirus.

The reality star took to Instagram to share what he’s been experiencing with his health over the last few days.

He captioned an IGTV video, “It took a lot for me to make this video as I am a very private person, but it is important for me to share my story.” He continued, “Please everyone take this seriously #Covid19. Protect yourself protect your family.”

In the video, Sincere can be seen in a hospital bed with an oxygen tube attached to his nose.

“About a week ago, you know, wasn’t feeling my best. [I] had to call the ambulance to take me to the hospital,” he said. “They read all the necessary tests and everything and I was diagnosed with COVID-19. Been in the hospital ever since.”

He then shared that he has pneumonia in both of his lungs, making it difficult for him to breathe.

Sincere emphasized the scary reality of the virus and its uncertainty, reiterating that COVID-19 is serious.

“You got healthcare professionals, go to school for you know, 10, 20, 30 years, and they don’t even know what this thing is. Nobody fully understands what it is yet,” he stated.

Several celebrities sent prayers and well wishes to Sincere in the comments of his video including Director X, O.T. Genesis, Safaree, Somaya Reece, and Dani Leigh.

Future’s Alleged Baby Mama Wants Breathtaking Amount Of Money Each Month

(AllHipHop News) Future has been told by a Florida judge to turn over his financial records and also take a DNA test to settle for once and for all whether or not he fathered Eliza Reign’s daughter.

He has done neither, and for good cause.

If he is proven to be the father, he might have to pay a hefty price to take care of his alleged daughter. who is now almost one-year-old.

Eliza has been suing the rapper for months after giving birth to the little girl. Nasty and contentious, the two have said some of the worst things about each other in the court — and in the media.

Eliza has presented Future as a deadbeat dad and an all-around cruel man.

Future has painted Eliza as a gold digger, who plotted on him because he was a celebrity.

Eliza Reign is reportedly asking for her former lover to shell out $53,000 in child support based on the public assertion of Forbes that he is $19.5 million.

It is important to note that according to court records, Future (despite his wealth) has suggested that $450 a month is all that he believes this child needs to live.

Now you see why the rapper’s financial records are important.

The Atlanta rapper doesn’t want to turn all of the requested documents over because he claims that they might get leaked to the public.
