Lil Pump And His Mom Investigated Over Shooting In Apartment

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Lil Pump is in some serious trouble with the law, after being accused of firing a gun at a house.

According to reports, police were called to the rap star’s apartment in the San Fernando Valley yesterday (February 15), after his manager called and claimed a group of men were attempting to forcibly enter his apartment.

The “Gucci Gang” rapper claimed that as the men attempted to enter his apartment they let off shots, and he returned fire.

As police investigated, they noticed a bullet had been fired through the front door, from inside the house.

The cops recovered a handgun in the bushes beneath the balcony of the 17-year-old’s apartment, along with some ammunition and marijuana inside of the residence, which Lil Pump shares with his mother.

Police sent Lil Pump to a juvenile detention center and released him on house arrest, as they investigate the incident.

Pump’s managers claims one of the suspected intruders was hit, but police believe the rapper may have accidentally fired the gun himself.

Lil Pump’s mom is being investigated for endangering a minor and having an unsecured gun at home.

Is Cardi B Pregnant Or Not!

By Rico Panacea (@RicoPanacea)

(AllHipHop Rumors) Cardi B has been one of music brightest new stars for much of the past year. She’s been featured one some of 2017’s hottest singles. Her star power even led to her being nominated for two Grammy Awards at the 2018 award show.

At the show, she performed her “Finesse” feature verse alongside music megastar Bruno Mars. Both performers are signed to Atlantic Records and were scheduled to begin touring soon.

However, all that could be changing soon as TMZ is reporting that Cardi B is currently pregnant. One of Cardi B’s team member confirmed with TMZ that Cardi B is 3-4 months pregnant. Cardi is currently engaged to Migos star Rapper Offset and the two MC’s have been in a relationship since mid 2017.

Well, the pregnancy could possibly cost Cardi B a lot of money.

“Cardi and her team expect to finish a new album before end of summer … and the plan is to tie the release to a 2-month tour with Bruno Mars, which kicks off in September. When you do the math, you see the problem. If she’s at the beginning of the second trimester, she’ll give birth sometime in August…Cardi, who had a hugely successful Super Bowl commercial, has other commercial deals on the table. She also has offers to collab with other artists. On top of all that … she’s supposed to start filming a movie sometime next month, which could be problematic once she approaches her 5th month.”

Cardi B also is scheduled to perform at this year’s Coachella in April.

According to Cardi B, she isn’t pregnant. So we’re going to take her word for it.

Migos Debut ‘Culture’ Documentary

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HI-mXMr8glQ

(AllHipHop News) Many Migos followers like to compare the Atlanta-raised rap trio to the iconic Beatles. What came off to some observers as just an exercise in trolling got some credence when Offset, Quavo, and Takeoff tied a Hot 100 chart record previously only held by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr.

With the success of their recently released third studio LP, Culture II, Migos are giving the public a look behind the scenes of their rise with a new documentary. The 18-minute C U L T U R E film is streaming on Tidal. Quality Control’s Coach K and Pee narrate the doc which follows the Migos members and their fans in the hours leading up to the Culture album release party.

“A year ago today we released Culture. We knew what we had and we wanted the world to hear it. But we honestly didn’t know what was about to happen,” states Coach K in C U L T U R E. “Two million albums sold, 15 million singles later, and we still here. What you’re about to watch and experience is the moment where it all happened.”

Pee can be heard saying, “They’re not making music for just one particular group. It’s called Culture for a reason.”

Migos have also appeared on Tidal in other capacities in recent weeks. The TIDAL X: Rolling Stone Live concert streamed on the platform, and Elliott Wilson interviewed the “Stir Fry” rhymers for a two-part CRWN conversation following the release of Culture II.

Tidal members and non-members can watch Migos’ C U L T U R E documentary by visiting tidal.com.

The Roots & Dave Chappelle To Headline “Roots Picnic” 2018

(AllHipHop News) Fresh off his sold-out shows at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall and two new stand-up specials on Netflix, Dave Chappelle is reuniting with The Roots for the Hip Hop band’s annual festival. The 2018 “Roots Picnic” is set for the Festival Pier in Philadelphia on June 2.

The Grammy-winning group will headline the event with a “Jam Session” hosted by Chappelle. The comedian shared a stage with The Roots during his 2017 residency in NYC and for his 2005 documentary/concert film Block Party.

Other acts tapped for the Music Stage include Lil Uzi Vert, Dirty Projectors, 2 Chainz, 6lack, DVSN, Brandy, Rapsody, Rich The Kid, and more. There will also be a Live Mixtape performance by Black Thought with Fabolous and Jadakiss as well as DJ Drama’s Gangsta Grillz with special guests.

In addition to music artists, the “Roots Picnic” will feature Drink Champs, On One with Angela Rye, Questlove Supreme, ItsTheReal, and The Realest Podcast on the Podcast Stage. A Madden + NBA2K Tournament hosted by iPod King Carter, Fashion Panel, Art Panel, Hustle Panel, and The mARkeT will be part of the Lifestyle Stage.

“This year we’ve tried to vary the non-musical elements of the lineup. We see so many homogenous festival lineups, and we’ve always prided ourselves on trying to create unique moments for the Roots Picnic attendee that they can’t see anywhere else. The Roots headline collaborative set is always unique, and in addition we are very bullish on the podcast space, so we’ve decided to dedicate and program an entire stage with some of the best culturally relevant podcasts,” says Shawn Gee, The Roots’ manager and President of Live Nation Urban.

“Roots Picnic” is produced by Shawn Gee along with Roots founding members, Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson and Tarik “Black Thought” Trotter. Tickets will be available for purchase beginning Friday, February 16 at 12 pm ET at ticketmaster.com.

No Spoilers: The Secret Magic Black Panther’s Marvelous Success!

By Nola Haynes

(AllHipHop Opinion) Black Panther is the crown jewel in recent Black cinema because it is a major, motion picture attached to the ultra-successful Marvel brand. Black Panther the superhero or T’Challa the king, is not merely the Black, pseudo-superhero sidekick, good for a one-liner every-so-often. Black Panther reminds audiences that Black people did not just pop up along Atlantic coastlines forcefully displaced and enslaved. Rather, it reclaims Africa’s mantle as the cradle of civilization with all the swag, attitude and rhythm of the diaspora.

Until Valkyrie in Thor: Ragnarok, women of color were completely absent within the MCU’s vast world of humans, superhumans aliens and villains (Storm and Misty Knight are separate issues, but you get the picture). Then it happened, the meme heard around all of Blackdom, Lupita in that yellow dress and two bomb Black statuesque women flanking T’Challa, ripped to shreds, wearing gold chokers to die for. We had little context, we just knew it was new, bold and snatched to the heavens. Collectively we asked, who are these superwomen and can I rock a bald head too? The answer is they are the Dora Milaje – pronounced “dora-meh-LAH-shay.” This group of Wakandan female warriors are elite body guards to king T’Challa (first appearance Black Panther Vol 3 #1, November 1998). Historically, the Dora Milaje were women groomed to marry the king of Wakanda. Eventually their role expanded to warriors loyal to Wakanda, but chiefly to the king. Doras only communicate with each other and the king in the Hausa dialect, which is everything.

While Black Panther is not the first Black superhero to break boundaries, let’s give that to Wesley Snipes in the Blade trilogy (and tried to get T’Challa in the movies in the early 90’s); Black Panther is the first stand-alone film within the wildly successful Marvel Universe to prominently feature and glamorize women of color. This reality has long since plagued feature films with Black, male leads. Oftentimes, Black men are partnered with non-Black women, which automatically tells us, this film is not for you or about you. The Dora Milaje elevate the Black, female beauty aesthetic beyond niche to mainstream. This is an important social, cultural and political moment for Black women. We are celebrating #blackgirlmagic, #blackgirlsrock and singing the lyrics to Solange’s “Don’t Touch My Hair” like an old Negro spiritual. This awakening around the Black, female aesthetic is not new, but it’s here with a vengeance.

To the critics that remind us that Wakanda is a fictitious world, therefore Black women can rock bantu knots and bald heads without judgement. This is where I remind folks that representation matters, Hollywood box office receipts matter, therefore Black dollars matter. Black Panther has a forward glance, an Afrofuturism appeal that evolves and disrupts the status quo. I won’t even entertain the “it’s too Black” nonsense. Turn up Solange, Kendrick and SZA, grab your crew and get ready for all this Wakandan #blackgirlmagic.

Kanye, the Lazy Pops?

By Ne’ Richa (@iAmNeRicha)

(AllHipHop Rumors) According to sources, Kanye is taking the scenic route when it comes to responsibility and daddy duties for baby Chicago.

It is being said that Kim is taking on all the major headaches that come with a newborn baby in the house, and Kanye has been trapping himself in the studio for long intervals just to escape.

Kim is also apparently complaining that Kanye has been off of his meds, and therefore, his “out there” behavior is starting to push Kim away. The rumor mill worked overtime when the streets whispered that the two were headed for divorce.

While I am not certain, I would assume that adding a newborn to the mix will more than likely make tensions more unfavorable than better.

Things certainly seemed ok yesterday on Valentine’s Day, where Yeezy returned to Instagram with a vengeance and for almost 8 hours straight, he posted a bunch of pictures of famous couples, including himself and Kim.

Maybe Kanye has another genius album to release as a consolation prize to all this drama?

Michael B. Jordan Talks Listening To 2Pac For ‘Black Panther’ Role

(AllHipHop News) Black Panther hits theaters tonight. The cast of the highly anticipated Marvel production has been making the media rounds to promote the movie.

Michael B. Jordan appears in the film as Erik “Killmonger” Stevens, the main antagonist. During an interview with Beats 1’s Ebro Darden, the New Jersey native talked about using music by Tupac Shakur to prepare for the character.

“I was listening to a lot of Pac,” revealed Jordan. “And honestly just spending a lot of time by myself you know I’m saying. This cat you know Killmonger had everything kind of taken away from him. He was kind of forced to be in isolation with this thing he knew but didn’t have anybody to really talk to about it and couldn’t really get there.”

The 31-year-old actor continued, “So for me to try to build up that frustration or what it feels like to have that and not be able to say nothing, but just also I feel like certain characters’ background directly affects their agenda, where they’re going with what they want.”

Travis Scott was another Hip Hop artist that inspired Jordan’s performance in Black Panther. He also discussed listening to speeches by Huey P. Newton, Fred Hampton, Marcus Garvey, and Malcolm X.

“I’m not saying just because you’re pro-black doesn’t mean your ‘anti’ anything,” said Jordan. “So I needed to get in a certain mind-state of how my character was feeling so I can get everybody else to know how he feels. I needed that and for me I was studying Magneto. For me, as an artist, the inspiration comes in all forms whether it be fictional or nonfiction. So it’s something that – yeah, I was kind of a little bit all over the place.”

Black Panther: The Album includes contributions from Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, Schoolboy Q, 2 Chainz, Khalid, Swae Lee, Vince Staples, Ab-Soul, Anderson .Paak, James Blake, Jay Rock, Future, The Weeknd, and more. But which record from the soundtrack is Michael B. Jordan’s favorite?

“I’m going to go with [SOB X RBE’s] ‘Paramedic!’ because that’s one of Killmonger’s joints,” offered Jordan.

Kanye West Settles Lawsuit Over Canceled “Saint Pablo Tour” Dates

(AllHipHop News) Back in 2016, Kanye West was forced to cancel dates of his “Saint Pablo Tour” following several public meltdowns. The Lloyd’s of London insurance company refused to pay out for the scrapped concerts which led to West’s Very Good Touring suing the insurer for $10 million.

Rolling Stone reports West and Lloyd’s have settled the suit. Howard King, the attorney for Very Good Touring, said, “The dispute has been amicably resolved.”

After canceling those “Saint Pablo Tour” shows, Kanye was hospitalized for mental health treatment. There was also speculation early last year that the Hip Hop star was considering going back out on the road to complete the musical trek.

Meek Mill Files Appeal Petition Over Cop’s Alleged False Testimony

(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill’s legal team is working hard to get their client out of prison. The latest attempt comes in the form of a Post-Conviction Relief Act petition.

According to Billboard, lawyers are requesting Meek’s release on bond or dismissal of the charges because of a report that Philadelphia police officer Reginald V. Graham allegedly gave false testimony at the rapper’s 2008 trial. Graham’s name was supposedly on a District Attorney Office’s list of cops known to lie in court and abuse suspects.

Meek (born Robert Williams) was arrested by Graham in 2007 on drug and gun charges. The now-retired officer took the stand and claimed an informant purchased crack from Meek, but no physical evidence was presented at trial to corroborate his account.

The petition also cites sworn affidavits from former Philadelphia police officers Jerold Gibson and Jeffrey Walker. Gibson was present during Meek’s 2007 arrest, and he disputes large parts of Graham’s testimony. Walker stated that Graham’s arrest warrant for Williams “bears the hallmarks of a fraudulent affidavit, written to manufacture probable cause for the search warrant.”

Meek Mill is currently serving 2-4 years for probation violation, a charge that is an extension of the original ’08 conviction. The “R.I.C.O.” rhymer was incarcerated in 2017 for illegally riding a motor bike in New York City.

Eric B & Rakim’s Twitter Page Deletes Tweets Criticizing Modern Rap

(AllHipHop News) This week, Eric B & Rakim’s verified Twitter account felt the need to express feelings about the state of modern rap. The legendary Hip Hop group sent out two specific tweets about the “tragic” fall of the genre.

“You are now witnessing the devolution of rap music. The death of poetry and smoothness, they use this. The absence of a message. The inability to create meaningful change through words and verses, but the worse is, they don’t even know they hurt this artful purpose, it’s tragic,” posted the Paid in Full album creators.

Then on Wednesday, the account returned to the platform to add, “You need to look real close at this previous tweet that’s reached almost 1 million people already and see what you read. It says ‘rap’ not ‘hip hop.’ If you don’t know the difference, you can’t make a difference. #KNOWtheLEDGE

However, both tweets have now been deleted from the social media site. There was no explanation given for why the posts were removed, but the message did spark lively internet debates about current rap music.

#CrownWakanda: How Black Panther Went From Movie To Movement

(AllHipHop Features) Young people, blerds and others will be bestowed with the opportunity to see Marvel’s Black Panther at Brooklyn’s famous Alamo Drafthouse Cinema. The event – presented by FanBros, Black Nerd Girls, Universal Fan Con, BLERDSMeet – kicks off #CrownWakanda. The screening, a glamous affair, that represents the entire African diaspora from traditional garments to Afrofuturism. Underneath it all,the BK NAACP will host a series of STEM events for youth. Expect to see cosplay, but also discussions around larger topics of community, technology, science and of course the themes within the Black Panther.

For more information, visit: crownwakanda.eventbrite.com.

AllHipHop interviewed Tatiana King Jones (aka The Grand Duchess of Tech) of Fanbros to talk about Black Panther and the Crown Wakanda movement.

AllHipHop.com: Why is this movie so important, both as a pop culture event and within the MCU?

Tatiana King Jones: Black Panther, on the most basic level, is a continuation of the MCU story which started with Black Panther’s introduction in Civil War. What you will learn in Black Panther will provide a direct lead in to May 2018’s Infinity War. Infinity War is absolutely huge as it shows all the Marvel heroes we’ve met over the last 10+ years (and some surprises/new characters) heading up against one of the most ultimate villains, Thanos. Black Panther is the first time you’ll see the character of the same name completely in his element of his country of Wakanda and for the first time get to see on-screen in live action what Wakanda looks like, how he gets his powers, all the important people that will have an impact on this story and future stories and how the world of Black Panther ties into the greater MCU

AllHipHop.com: Why is it important to Black people, particularly African Americans, in your view?

Tatiana King Jones: From a much more complex level, Black Panther goes beyond the figurative and literally represents a huge Marvel mainstream character on screen that is black and has the full financial, promotional, and technical weight and expertise of Marvel/Disney. With the exception of Spawn and Blade in the 90s/early 2000s, it’s essentially unheard of to have a black-actor led superhero movie. And there’s already a 1-2 generations beyond the aforementioned films that a great deal of people never even heard of–so Black Panther will be the first time they see powerful black male and female heroes on screen to this incredible magnitude. That’s absolutely necessary as many times people don’t believe they can be or achieve something until they see it–until they can see themselves.

Within the film industry we’re already grossly underrepresented in just about all the different genres (fantasy, sci-fi, action, drama, etc.) so it really matters that this film has finally arrived. It’s also a film that is helmed both in front of and behind the camera by majority black crew, cast, and production. It’s inception in a way–the film is feature a self-sustaining, never colonized country of Wakanda and the production of the film reflects that (costume design, director, writers, actors, etc.). Black Panther represents one of the many heights that can be attained when black people are allowed to shine and reflect their full glory upon the world without interference. And quite simply Black Panther is bad ass, is smarter than Tony Stark (his sister Shuri is smarter than anyone on the planet in the MCU [confirmed by Marvel], Wakanda is richest and most technologically advanced, and on and on—there’s nothing (in superhero/Marvel sense) that has been shown that feature black people, and really, the greater African diaspora, in this way. African Americans particularly have been deprived of this (in the mainstream) so its incredibly important to all of us on an emotional, social, mental, and entertainment level.

AllHipHop.com: What, if any, has been the back lash. I’ve heard the standard, “If there was a movie called White Panther…” comments recently.

Tatiana King Jones: The back lash seems to come from misguided people who don’t understand business, social constructs of black people, and basic logic. The idea of “White Panther” or “White Entertainment Television” (to use another analogy) relies on false premise that properties that feature or target Black people are created to be exclusionary. To the contrary, these spaces were/are created to be inclusionary of a group of people that have systematically been ignored or oppressed despite their very existence.

Plus there is literally no need for “white entertainment television”–W.E.T. is every channel, every movie, etc. as the social “default” (in America) has been cis-het white males (which has spread across the world via a combination of white supremacy and patriarchy). They have always had these spaces. It’s Black people and other people of color who lacked these spaces. As for Black Panther itself that’s literally as he was created–an African man who’s power story revolves around a panther god. So any comments like what you mentioned to me are ridiculous, unfounded, and hold no real weight. And it just sounds like a bunch of haters.

AllHipHop.com: Why do you feel this movie has sold so well, even though its not out?

Tatiana King Jones: This movie actually already has thousands of sold out viewings in theaters across the country and in some areas overseas. Literally the day the tickets went on sale to the general public, Lupita Nyong’o tweeted that she couldn’t get a ticket–and she’s in the movie. So when you say “sold out” I’m not 100% what that means…there’s always going to be a showing or two where people may still be able to get in (maybe midday matinee where most people are still at work), but essentially all the premiere and primetime weekend stuff is a done deal. Plus the movie already broke records as the highest selling Marvel film ever in presales. And as far as sales tracking, as of Jan 31st its expected to make $100-$120M opening weekend. That was 2 weeks ago with tickets still being sold at an exponential rate; so that range is higher.

I feel the movie has sold so well based on what I said previously–that you have a huge contingent of straight up movie go-ers that thing the film looks cool and wants to see what its all about; you have the comic book and Marvel/MCU contingent of fans that are hype to see the next installment in this Phase of MCU films and are fans of the Black Panther characters; black people, especially children, who have never seen any form of black hero (regardless of gender expression) on screen in a live action film, let alone something on this scale. So basically–everyone across ethnicities, age, gender, and interests want to see this movie.

AllHipHop.com: Talk to me about Crown Wakanda and why it is so important.

Tatiana King Jones: Crown Wakanda seeks to use the Black Panther film as a catalyst to further education and empowerment. We’re having a big private screening of the film with red carpet entrance and VIP treatment for our guests. That expanded to hosting a free screening for youth on Feb 16th where they can also enjoy a premium screening experience but with free popcorn and soda. The Brooklyn NAACP provides the opportunity for kids through their youth council program. The “Crown Wakanda Curriculum” as we call it involves a visit to Weeksville Heritage Center to learn about one of the first free-Black communities in America located in what is now modern day Crown Heights, Brooklyn to learn what came before them. They then screen the film and get an opportunity to participate in STEM workshops to “Build Your Own Wakanda”.

They will work with city planners, engineers, and architects to create real city models based on concepts they are taught and the details they’ve learned from their Weeksville tour. We then seek to couple this with a greater understanding of Afrofuturism and how it ties in to the greater African Diaspora–with Black Panther as the inspiration. Our first tour was on Feb 10th. Brooklyn NAACP will host the workshops through March, so we’re using Crown Wakanda as the vehicle to raise money to extend it beyond that time and provide more screening opportunities for more youth. GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/crown-wakanda-curriculum/” /> .

The whole point is to build a self-sustaining vehicle both in Crown Wakanda and the youth we’re looking to influence and inspire. We are completely convinced that once they see Black Panther (we saw it back in January) that their world-view and self-view will change dramatically. So we want to supply them the tools to take their experience beyond a movie watching event and enrich them further.

AllHipHop.com: What made you pick the Weeksville Heritage Center as the location for this event?

Tatiana King Jones: Through discussion and collaboration with Brooklyn NAACP. They identified and expressed the ties Weeksville had to the “Build Your Own Wakanda” initiative so we’re tying in the entertainment aspect. Not enough people (including ourselves) even knew Weeksville existed let alone is right in the middle of Brooklyn–so its important to raise the profile of that space, support it, and teach our youth of what was there before and what is possible now and in the future. Weeksville could have been considered the Wakanda of Brooklyn.

AllHipHop.com: Any early feedback from the kids?

Tatiana King Jones: The kids that attended the tour on the 10th were very into visiting Weeksville and asked tons of questions about the community and what it represented. They were also incredibly excited that they get to go to see Black Panther for free. They’re super appreciative of everything and we just want to make a tangible impact in their lives.

AllHipHop.com: Any last words or things you want to add?

Tatiana King Jones: We are appreciative of the overwhelming love and support we’ve already received as well as the partnerships between Brooklyn NAACP, Black Girl Nerds, Universal FanCon, Blerdsmeet and more. We’ve even partnered with several groups in St. Kitts and Nevins ( Market Street Community Development Group) to help them also send youth to see the movie for free, as well as help them develop curriculum. Crown Wakanda started as a response to jokes about people “dressing up like they’re in Coming to America” and evolved into spreading upliftment and empowerment within the black community by the black community. We seek to introduce and reconnect African Americans to the greater African Diaspora.

How To Act: “Black Panther Movie Rules of Engagement”

What’s up Super Friends?!!

I know you are probably thinking “Why is he writing about the Black Panther…isn’t he a DJ?”. Yes it is but I’m no ordinary DJ you mere mortals. I am NYC resident Superhero DJ, Jon Quick, of WBLS 107.5 (check me out on the Mix at Six w/Deja Vu – my first shameless plug) so I get to also write about all things having to do with superheroes, especially the ones who look like me, if I choose to do so. What’s about to happen on February 16 will be a paradigm shift of comic book movie culture! With that being said we, the black superhero fan base, need to make sure that our novice brothers and sisters follow a certain code of conduct in regards to the Black Panther Movie release! Please adhere to the following “Rules of Engagement” and I promise we, as a community, will enjoy one of the most glorious days of our existence!

BLACK PANTHER MOVIE RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

1. Shut the hell up black people. I TRULY LOVE my brothers and sisters but this ain’t the film for your ass to be showing
out with Cousin JuJu and ‘em! We don’t want you making jokes at the screen and/or trying to give the on screen characters life advice and what not. Be on your best behavior. We’re tryin’ to make history damn it!

2. Please read up on the characters before you come to the theater. I don’t want you asking me jack once the movie starts! And don’t you even breathe funny when the Queen Angela Bassett is on the screen. That’s true royalty right there!

3. Dress appropriately. Meaning cosplay characters from the film, African traditional garb, Black Panther tees or at the VERY LEAST ALL BLACK EVERYTHING. No room for lukewarm enthusiasm. I’m sure most of you already have your outfits picked out, which makes me happy. We’d rather you stay home if you can’t abide.

4. Closing credits are a must view! For those of you who’ve never been to a Marvel film, do NOT move until AFTER the final credits. You can thank me later.

5. Go see it OPENING WEEK.

And see it more than once. Very, very important. Again, we trying to make history! If you reside in NYC, you can actually join me and my fellow honorary Wakandans at this Red Carpet event at Magic Johnson Theater in Harlem. Afterparty at Corner Social! (shameless plug but so what).

6. This is NOT the cinema event to arrive on CP time!! Listen I’m not letting you in my row once the movie starts. Don’t play
yourself. The last thing I want to see is a close up of your pelvic area when I’m trying to see the Dora Milaje kick some butt!! Come late and you’ll just have to wait until intermission. (Hint: there is no intermission). Hell at my red carpet premiere event I may just hire bouncers and place them at the entry points of the theater.

7. Support the Marvel Black Panther comic book family before and after the movie.

There are plenty of them on the shelves. Black Panther, Rise of the Black Panther, World of Wakanda etc. Share them with your children. They need to see positive and powerful black characters. Remember- #BlackHeroesMatter

8. (From my Omega frat bruh Mr. Kevin Epps) Get ALL your snacks, drinks, bathroom visits, and “I’m here” calls & texts out of the way BEFORE the lights go down for the preview trailers! Don’t drink too much before the show. We may go NYC club style and say all exits are final so you may have to hold that urge to pee until the final credits!

9. Hire a damn babysitter!

DO NOT BRING CRYING, LOUD ASS INFANTS to the show. I know we are supposed to teach them young but those little boogers will have no idea what the hell ia going on! Leave them with grandma, grandpa or your favorite auntie! I beg of you! 🙏🏿

10. Squeal and scream on Black Panther bootleggers!

If your local bootlegger decides they want to sell this movie please report his ass to the cops and ask he be detained in the most pissy smelling, bed bug infested jail cell for the duration of the weekend. Bootleggers don’t get your black card revoked. Non black bootleggers you WILL have your hood pass REVOKED forever! Seriously.

SPECIAL ADDENDUM: For those of you who have that bad ass credit and therefore cannot pay for tickets online like everybody else in the 21st century normally does PLEASE CHECK YOUR TICKET STUBS as soon as you receive them from the cashier. You have to make sure they gave you the RIGHT TICKETS. We don’t need “Insidious Part 10” going No. 1 at the box office that week by accident!

SPECIAL ADDENDUM 2:

It’s HIGHLY RECOMMMENDED that you learn the lyrics to the first stanza of “Lift Every Voice”. We may be singing that before the previews go on at theaters on opening night. You’ve been warned.

FEEL FREE TO ADD ANY RULE I MAY HAVE OVERLOOKED. SEE YOU AT THE THEATER!
