What’s Nicki Minaj Talking About? Anti-Black Statements?

(AllHipHop Rumors) I don’t know what to say about Nicki Minaj sometimes. She is one of the greats and yet, you get the sense that she’s going down fast. She recently married the man of her dreams after dating Nas and Safaree. I am not going to comment on that. Ya’ll know the deal. She’s made some recent comments that have people talking. Some of this has been deleted.

Tell me what you think…

This is just weird. She is saying…white are better?

I must dig deeper!

It seems like this is a response to Wendy Williams. They are going back and forth because Wendy had something to say about her man, Mr. Petty – I think. Wendy is alway beefing with somebody so I ignored it when it happened.

What I find interesting is she called Black people “blacks” like she isn’t one of us. I am so weirded out because she is Black. She also used to call Black women Nappy Headed Hoes and other stuff that really isn’t cool. But I digress. I think she is mostly stick of our “judgement” because white folk don’t care that you raped somebody or killed somebody. That “somebody” was probably Black. So, homie gets a big fat pass in the mainstream.

I am not gonna post what people are saying, but it ain’t good. I will leave it there.

Ja Rule Barks At Black People Over Popeye’s Stabbing & The Internet Didn’t Lose AGAIN!

(AllHipHop Rumors) I am scared the of internet! I am glad that I am a nobody! Ja Rule is not a nobody! He is an icon that continues to captivate people in a way that few can. So, the one and only decides to comment on the Popeye’s chicken fiasco. What’s the fiasco? Well, somebody in Maryland was fatally stabbed while waiting in line at Popeye’s for a chicken sandwich. Now, Popeye’s ain’t taking the rap for this crap! And I am praying they ain’t Black! But I think they are!

The Cops:

“We have been able to determine, preliminarily, that this is related to the release of the sandwich here at this restaurant… this individual was in line specifically for the sale of the sandwich when another customer and he got into an altercation and that ended with the victim being stabbed outside of the businessPGPD.” – Director of Media Relations Jennifer Donelan

Popeye’s:

“We do not yet know whether this was the result of a dispute over one of our products or something unrelated, but there is no reason for someone to lose their life on a Monday night in a parking lot. Our thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends and we are fully cooperating with local authorities.”

Basically, somebody got stabbed for butting in line for a freakin’ chicken sandwich!

So, Ja Rule decided to offer his commentary, which wasn’t so bad! PEEP!

Anyway, this seems like a sensible and reasonable comment on something tragic, avoidable and stupid! Well, Ja Rule has a storied history in the game of music and therefore…THE INTERNETS.

And they did not stop there. Some of this was uncalled for! Why are they so mean?!

Who hurt yall!?

https://twitter.com/Passport83Moda/status/1191810237474279425

Ja Rule didn’t even get convicted of anything! It was the white dude Billy! Billy is in jail today, but Ja is in the world of the free, because he didn’t do anything!

MBNel Explains Why He Got A Tattoo In Honor Of Nipsey Hussle

MBNel’s “In My City” is the street anthem we all wanted, only he’s putting on for his hood in Stockton.

The Bay Area native spits on the chorus: “‘Cause in my city ain’t no love its lotta violence, more n##gas turn to shooters than n##gas turn into scholars / I never went to college like mama papa wanted, I promise that I’ma make it out that’s all I wanted.”

This isn’t a fairytale, this is real life. Off the rip, he describes himself as “Muddy Boy Nel straight from South Stockton mud.

Being a first-generation Filipino-American, the 22-year-old hopes to change the narrative on stereotypes and speak for those who don’t have a voice to do so.

Secondly, it’s his unique sound and ability to both sing and rap that allows him to stand out — while telling his story and inspiring others along the way.

AllHipHop: Talk about being from Stockton, what were you seeing growing up?

MBNel: Stockton is a small city but a lot of crazy stuff going on. A lot of poverty, a lot of violence: gang violence and gun violence, a whole bunch of stuff. It’s so small that everyone knows each other, it’s always something going on.

AllHipHop: Were you in the streets?

MBNel: Yeah, you could say that. But coming from Stockton, everybody’s going to be involved in the streets some way, somehow. That’s just a part of life out there. I still live in my old neighborhood, still the same exact area and everything. Just working right now, getting into a better position.

AllHipHop: What does MBNel stand for?

MBNel: Nell is what they call me, it’s short for my name Jhonel Dongon. MB is the group, my brothers. Muddy boys, Mud brothers, whatever you want to call it, we’re brothers. It’s a little brotherhood.

AllHipHop: Who came up with that name?

MBNel: S##t, we all did. It just came about out of nowhere.

AllHipHop: “In My City” has over 5.1M views on Youtube alone. Did you foresee it blowing up like this?

MBNel: To be honest, nah. It was just out of the blue. The original plan for it was I wanted to cash out and put it on Worldstar, but some s##t had happened. We just dropped It on the homie Snipe Films channel, and it just blew from there.

AllHipHop: Nothing, it just organically picked up?

MBNel: Yeah, organically just blew up. It hit a million in a month. It was crazy, unexpected.

AllHipHop: You get that ‘prolific’ tattoo (on the side of his face) for Nip?

MBNel: Yeah, after he passed away. He was a big influence, he was one of my favorite rappers growing up. Just because I really looked at a lot of his s##t. He’s different from a lot of other rappers, I learned a lot from him. The reason why I’m looking into businesses and all that is because of him.

AllHipHop: What businesses are you looking into?

MBNel: A whole bunch. I had a small t-shirt business I was doing by myself. It wasn’t really a t-shirt business, I was just making merch for myself. I started making merch for the homies. I was going to turn that into a business, I made a couple thousand off that. I wanted to open up a barbershop.

AllHipHop: What are some goals yourself as an artist at this point of your career?

MBNel: Obviously put myself, my people, my family in a better position. What other people could take from it is to be inspired by my story. See that whatever they got going, they can hopefully reach what they want to reach.

AllHipHop: What would you be doing if you weren’t doing music?

MBNel: S##t to be honest, I’d still be running around doing dumb s##t trying to make a dollar. That’s really what everybody’s on, just trying to get to a bag any way we can.

AllHipHop: Is there anything else you want to let us now?

MBNel: Album coming soon, dropping November 15th. Stay on the lookout for that. I got some features, I have Mozzy on there. I have an upcoming Bay artist Lil Beam on there, Lil Poppa’s on there and TeeJay3k on there.

Pharrell Williams Explains Emotional Reaction To Blurred Lines Verdict

(AllHipHop News) Super producer Pharrell Williams has revealed he’s been emotionally hurt over his song “Blurred Lines.”

Not only does Pharrell regret writing the “r#### lyrics” on the song with Robin Thicke, but the tune also cost him a few million bucks.

In December of 2018, Pharrell and Robin Thicke were ordered to pay $5 million to the estate of Marvin Gaye.

The pair were sued in 2013, and accused of ripping off the singer’s 1977 song “Got To Give It Up.”

During a new interview with GQ, Pharrell, and super-producer Rick Rubin discussed the implications of the lawsuit.

“It hurt my feelings because I would never take anything from anyone,” Pharrell said. “It really set me back”

Pharrell agreed the song shared some similarities, with Gaye’s record but that was about it.

According to Rick Rubin, the verdict will have vast implications for creators.

“It’s bad for music,” Rubin says of the lawsuit. “We’ve had an understanding of what a song is, and now, based on that one case, there’s a question of what a song is. It’s not what it used to be. In the past, it would be the chords, the melody, and the words. Your chords, your melody, and your words—none of them had anything to do with [Marvin Gaye’s song].”

EXCLUSIVE: Actress Sharon Stone Says “Challenged” Rapper Chanel West Coast Stole Her Image

(AllHipHop News) Actress Sharon Stone is going after Chanel West Coast, claiming the rapper ruined her image with the song “Sharon Stoned.”

Sharon Stone filed a lawsuit against over the song and video for “Sharon Stoned,” which the actress says is tarnishing her image.

Sharon claims the song is nothing but an exploitation of her hard work over the years, after starring in hit movies like “Basic Instinct,” “Casino,” “Total “Recall,” and others.

Sharon Stone also accused Chanel West Coast, born Chelsea Chanel Dudley, of clout chasing,.

Stone claims the rapper has “desperately sought to garner credibility and stature in the hip-hop community.”

“Challenged to achieve success as a rap artist, on information and belief, Defendant Dudley has sought to enhance her stature as a rapper by invoking and trading on the celebrity status and fame of others,” Sharon Stone’s lawyer Gary A. Hecker, Esq snapped.

To make matters worse, Chanel West Coast repeats Sharon Stone’s name 33 times in the song, while the name “Sharon” is uttered 99 times.

Sharon Stone is upset because the video blatantly trades on her likeness, image, identity, and persona, as well as her award-winning performances in “Basic Instinct” and “Casino.”

Sharon Stone is also unhappy with Chanel West Coast for invoking her image to promote the sale of cannabis paraphernalia without her permission on “Sharon Stoned.”

Sharon Stone is suing Chanel West Coast for unfair competition violation, and violating the California common law right of publicity and is asking a judge to award her damages.

Check out the video, which features a memorable performance featuring legendary rapper Redman and actor Michael Rapaport.

Kodak Black And Young Thug’s Ex-Manager Indicted For Sexual Abuse Again

(AllHipHop News) Adam Lublin, the former manager of Kodak Black and Young Thug, has been indicted on a third count of first-degree sexual abuse.

Lublin, who is the former executive for touring behemoth AEG, was arrested in September, after allegedly assaulting two roommates, who were also co-workers at the time, on separate occasions in 2015.

The music mogul allegedly snuck into a neighbor’s apartment in the building where they both lived, groping her while she slept.

Then he stole her underwear and a straw with a flamingo print on it. The next day, police spotted Lublin near the building, throwing away a cup with a pink straw stuffed with underwear that the victim later identified as hers.

On Monday (November 4th,) the Manhattan District Attorney’s office alleged in a bail application document: “With respect to the November 22nd, 2015 incident, the defendant sexually assaulted a sleeping co-worker.

“When she awoke to the defendant’s non-consensual touching, the Complaining Witness confronted the defendant immediately, waking up her friend who was sleeping in the room with her. She immediately reported what the defendant did to that friend and told others in the days that followed. The incident was also investigated by HR.”

“The complaining witness woke up when she felt the defendant’s fingers inside her v#####,” Assistant District Attorney Ryan Hayward said, according to the New York Post.

The bail application document further alleges that, “a forensic search of the defendant’s phone showed that the defendant searched for both Complaining Witnesses — strangers to him — by name, the defendant searched for pornography and erotica depicting unconscious women being sexually touched, and in fact the defendant took photographs while inside the Complaining Witnesses’ apartment on two separate occasions.”

Lubin was initially released from prison on a $175,000 bond, before being picked up again when the second allegation was made. He was indicted on the third count on Monday and pleaded not guilty to all charges.

He faces up to 37 years in prison if convicted on all charges.

Diddy’s Friends Lavish Him With Gifts For 50th Birthday

(AllHipHop News) Diddy was lavished with expensive gifts, including a new car and diamond-encrusted portrait, as he celebrated his 50th birthday on Monday (November 4th.)

The rap mogul marked the occasion earlier in the day by getting himself a new tattoo on his ribs – the “most painful place to get a tatt” – and thanking fans for their well wishes.

Stars including Snoop Dogg, Nas, Timbaland, and DJ Khaled were among the famous faces sending birthday love to Diddy.

But when it came to celebrating the occasion, the rapper insisted he wasn’t having a party with his celebrity pals.

“I’m not having a party, y’all. Just chilling, chilling with the family today. Keep the circle tight,” he said in a post on his Instagram Story.

However, it seems Diddy’s family may not have got the memo, as later posts on the social media site showed him being cheered by a large group of friends and family, including his sons Christian, Quincy, and Justin, as he blew out the candles on his three-tier birthday cake.

He also showed off several of the presents he’d received, including writing “My queen got me a new car” alongside a clip of him hugging a woman with an afro which appeared to be his mother Janice.

Other presents included a diamond-encrusted portrait showing a close-up of his face and the face of his son Christian divided down the middle.

“Happy birthday pops. Twinny twin twin,” Christian, whose mother is Diddy’s late ex Kim Porter, wrote alongside a clip of the expensive gift on his Instagram Stories.

‘Queen & Slim’ Creators Melina Matsoukas & Lena Waithe Talk Making Art That Creates Change

(AllHipHop News) Melina Matsoukas and Lena Waithe are two of the producers behind the forthcoming motion picture Queen & Slim. Matsoukas also made her feature-film directorial debut, and Waithe wrote the screenplay.

In the movie, Slim (Daniel Kaluuya) and Queen (Jodie Turner-Smith) are on the run after a police officer is killed in self-defense during a traffic stop. As two Black fugitives, the retail worker and the lawyer unwittingly become a symbol of trauma, terror, grief, and pain for people across the country.

Queen & Slim explores racism, classism, policing, the media, and other relevant cultural topics in modern-day America. Melina and Lena discussed the Universal Pictures production in a pre-release featurette.

“Filmmaking is a war, and those are my war wounds up on that screen. I feel like you have to fight for your vision,” expresses Matsoukas. “That’s my favorite kind of art to create, that speaks to people and also creates change.”

Matsoukas is a two-time Grammy winner for directing Rihanna’s “We Found Love” and Beyoncé’s “Formation” music videos. Lena Waithe won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series (Netflix’s Master of None), and she is the creator of the Showtime program The Chi. Best-selling author James Frey and Waithe developed the story for Queen & Slim.

“You’re trying to find it through the visuals, I’m trying to find it through the words, and the actors are trying to find it in their performances,” says Waithe while speaking with Matsoukas.

The Chicago native continued, “All these Black artists are trying to find truth in something or some form of honesty. Whoever’s watching it, whether you like it or not, it’s going to make you feel something.”

In addition to Kaluuya and Turner-Smith, the Queen & Slim cast also includes Bokeem Woodbine, Chloë Sevigny, Flea, Indya Moore, and Sturgill Simpson. Devonté Hynes (aka Blood Orange) scored the drama.

The Queen & Slim soundtrack consists of contributions from Blood Orange, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Megan Thee Stallion, Bilal, Raphael Saadiq, Vince Staples, EarthGang, Syd, Lil Baby, Burna Boy, and more. The album is due out on November 15. Queen & Slim will arrive in North American theaters on November 27.

RZA Wants Wu-Tang Clan & Rage Against The Machine To Tour Together Again

(AllHipHop News) While Cypress Hill’s B-Real, Public Enemy’s Chuck D, and three Rage Against The Machine members called it quits as the Prophets of Rage supergroup, another Hip Hop legend wants to go on the road with the reunited RATM. RZA spoke to TMZ about the iconic rock band.

“It’s a great thing for Rage to reunite. Tom and Zach getting back together [for] Coachella. It’s going to be exciting,” said RZA. “If the stars line up right, I would love to see [them] – when they finish that Coachella run – to hook up with Wu-Tang and finish that tour we never finished.”

According to multiple reports, Rage Against The Machine announced a series of concert dates for 2020 including a headlining set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in California. Vocalist Zack de la Rocha, guitarist Tom Morello, drummer Brad Wilk, and bassist Tim Commerford have not played together since 2011.

Rage is known for making music with left-leaning, anti-imperialism themes. The Donald Trump era in America is partially defined by extreme political partisanship and cultural divisions, and the Grammy-winning progressives will return on the eve of the next presidential election.

“I think right now, the way the times are, we need Rage Against The Machine. It’s perfect timing for them, perfect energy for them, and we think that the climate is right for Rage. Just like the timing is right for Wu-Tang. Let’s rock the world,” added RZA.

EXCLUSIVE: Gunman For Tekashi 6ix9ine & Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods Begs Judge For Mercy Because Of Low IQ

(AllHipHop News) Another one of Tekashi 6ix9ine’s old gang buddy is begging a judge for mercy.

AllHipHop obtained a letter Aaron “Bat” Young’s lawyer Aaron Mysliwiec wrote to Judge Paul Engelmayer, in hopes of receiving a reduced sentence.

Aaron Young was one of 12 defendants rounded up in November of 2018, and charged in a RICO case involving the disgraced Brooklyn rapper.

Young is accused of terrorizing New York as a member of The Nine Trey Gangsta Blood as part of the gang’s street line up.

The Feds say Young participated in an attempted murder on January 19th, 2019. He was also accused of possessing guns, distributing fentanyl, MDMA, and heroin, as well as marijuana.

After Tekashi 6ix9ine flipped and decided to testify against the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods, Young struck a plea deal in April of 2019. He admitted to one count of racketeering conspiracy.

According to sentencing guidelines, Young could face up to 20 years in prison for his crimes.

According to Aaron Mysliwiec, his client Aaron Young was born severely premature and addicted to crack cocaine.

“As the son of drug addicted parents and a man who has struggled with substance abuse himself, Mr. Young has an intimate understanding of the negative consequences of selling drugs. The harms they cause are not abstract to him. Mr. Young is sorry for his actions. Mr. Young also regrets his decision to possess a firearm and resort to violence against a Nine Trey member who threatened to kill him,” Mysliwiec wrote to Judge Englemayer.

Mysliwiec wrote that his client was abused as a child, and he ultimately ended up in a foster home.

Although his siblings overcame their childhood trauma and went on to have successful careers, Mr. Young suffered because he has an IQ of 63.

Aaron “Bat” Young was also diagnosed with “Mild Mental Retardation of Intellectual Functioning,” and his lawyer says the gang took advantage of his cognitive disabilities for their own benefit.

“Mr. Young regrets the negative effects his crimes have had on the community, his family, and himself. Based on those regrets, in part, Mr. Young accepted responsibility and pleaded guilty in this case,” Aaron Mysliwiec wrote on behalf of Young.

Aaron “Bat” Young is slated to be sentenced on November 18th, 2019.

Check out the full letter Aaron “Bat” Young’s lawyer wrote to Judge Paul Engelmayer.

Dear Judge Engelmayer: I represent Mr. Young in this matter. I respectfully submit this letter in connection with Mr. Young’s sentencing, which is scheduled for November 18, 2019.

Life dealt Aaron Young a very bad hand. He was born severely premature and addicted to crack cocaine, after in utero exposure. Both of his parents suffered from long-term addiction to crack-cocaine and they neglected their children. Growing up, Mr. Young was often locked in a bedroom for 8 or 9 hours at a time while adults used drugs in the living room. Mr. Young was also subjected to extreme physical abuse by his mother, including breaking Mr. Young’s arm and attempting to remove pieces of broken glass from his foot at home.

Mr. Young and his siblings were placed in a foster home and, then, moved into a relative’s household. The new home was filled with sexual abuse. While there, Mr. Young began drinking alcohol at age 12 and using marihuana. Mr. Young often snuck out of the house and looked for his mother in the streets. Sometimes when he would find her, she would ask him for money so that she could buy drugs.

Somehow Mr. Young’s sisters were able to overcome these terrible childhood circumstances, and one of them has achieved a commendable career with the Board of Education.

Mr. Young, however, faced additional challenges. When he was in 5th grade, Mr. Young’s school determined that he had a full scale I.Q. of 63, and he was diagnosed with “Mild Mental Retardation of Intellectual Functioning” and a general learning disability.

Eventually, he was able to improve his speech and his vocabulary, but he still has very poor literacy skills. For most of his life, he has relied on SSI and other government assistance to support himself.

Mr. Young’s greatest success in life is that despite his own childhood experiences, he became a good father to his daughter and to his girlfriend’s other child. The mother of his daughter, Brittany

Johnson, describes Mr. Young as “the kind of father that liked to spend time with the kids…. And most importantly, he was really there for me when I needed him.” Ms. Johnson’s mother notes that “[u]nderneath the hard image is a good, loving father” who “really cared” for her daughter and “was respectful towards her.”

Mr. Young’s greatest failure in life is his offense conduct in this case. He chose to be involved with Nine Trey, to participate in serious drug distribution, to possess a firearm, and to attempt to murder a Nine Trey member who had threatened Mr. Young’s own life. The conduct is very serious.

Given Mr. Young’s childhood history and his conduct in this case, one might question whether there is much hope that he can rehabilitate himself and make any kind of positive contribution to society.

There are reasons, however, to hope that Mr. Young can be rehabilitated. A man who has shown that for long periods of time he can put childrens’ needs ahead of his own is a man who may be able to change

A man who, at 38 years old, has accepted responsibility for his actions in this case, is a man who has taken an important first step towards seeking rehabilitation. Mr. Young deeply regrets the crimes that he has committed, not just because he was caught, but because he harmed others and he let his family members down.

He now faces the first significant prison sentence of his life and even if the Court gives him a below-Guidelines sentence, Mr. Young knows that it will be a long time before he sees his daughter outside a prison’s walls and he can try to make amends to the public at-large.

In addition, although Mr. Young committed significant crimes in this case, other members of Nine Trey are arguably as culpable as Mr. Young and have been sentenced to less than Mr. Young’s Guidelines calculation of 240 months’ imprisonment. Mr. Jamel Jones was the “Godfather” in this case and the overseer of Nine Trey’s widespread drug distribution and violent activities, and he received a sentenceof 135 months’ imprisonment.

Kifano Jordan was just under Jones in the Nine Trey hierarchy and participated in multiple shootings and robberies, and he received a sentence of 180 months’ imprisonment. Mr. Young has committed serious crimes, but I respectfully submit he does not deserve a term of imprisonment that is 105 months longer than Jones and 60 months longer than Jordan.

For the reasons described above and as will be described further in this Sentencing Submission, I respectfully request that the Court impose a below-Guidelines sentence on Mr. Young.

21 Savage Reportedly Blocked From Traveling Outside Of The U.S.

(AllHipHop News) 21 Savage was just rapping on his Instagram Live about the reaction to the news he was born in the United Kingdom (“They keep talking that U.K. sh*t like I don’t got AKs”). Apparently, his immigration situation is affecting his music career.

TMZ reports that 21 was unable to get a work permit for eight months before finally getting approved in October. However, the Atlanta-raised rapper still cannot travel outside the United States.

A post shared by DJ Akademiks (@akademiks)

According to the website, the immigration courts in Atlanta are bogged down with back cases and Savage has not been given a court date yet. There is speculation that his case may not be resolved for years.

21 Savage (born Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph) was taken into ICE custody earlier this year for overstaying a visa. The British national insisted his family brought him to America around the age of 7 and he filed a U-visa application in 2017.

Last month, the National Immigration Law Center honored Abraham-Joseph with the Courageous Luminaries Award. Marielena Hincapié, Executive Director of NILC, stated, “We are committed to fighting for the rights of immigrants and we’re thrilled to honor 21 Savage for standing with us in this fight against this administration’s ongoing attack on immigrant communities.”

Despite his issues with the Trump Administration’s Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, 21 Savage continues to release new music. He recently dropped his “Immortal” single and appeared on the remix to Alicia Key’s  “Show Me Love.”

Thanks to West’s “Use This Gospel” track, Kenny G is just the fifth act to have a Top 40 hit in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. The Clipse collected their third Top 40 as guests on the record.

Teacher Suspended For Dressing Up As Common In Blackface For Halloween

(AllHipHop News) A teacher in California has been suspended for dressing up as Common for Halloween.

The unidentified teacher, who worked for the Milpitas Unified School District, dressed up as the Chicago rapper and completed his costume, by wearing blackface.

The educator attempted to imitate the look the rap star sports in a series of well-known advertisements for Microsoft.

A student uploaded a video to Twitter, and the backlash started almost immediately.

High School principal Francis Rojas issued a statement claiming the teacher had adversely affected every student in the district.

“In a school community where we welcome learners and families from over 50 languages who represent cultures and religions throughout the world, and where our long-standing neighborhood, Sunnyhills, was established as the first city in the nation for planned integration, it hurts to know that this type of cultural insensitivity and lack of cultural awareness still hovers in the background,” Rojas said in his statement.

According to reports, the unidentified teacher has been placed on administrative leave pending the results of an investigation.

R. Kelly’s Wife Says She Was Victimized Again For Speaking Out Against Abuse

(AllHipHop News) R. Kelly’s ex-wife Drea “was not prepared” for the backlash after she spoke out about the alleged domestic abuse she received in their relationship.

The couple was married for 13 years but divorced in 2009.

“The day I escaped from him, it was a realization that these gates on our property was not to keep people out… but to keep me in,” Drea said during an appearance on Extra.

The dancer/actress was one of seven women who made allegations of sexual and emotional abuse about the “I Believe I Can Fly” hitmaker in the Emmy-nominated documentary “Surviving R. Kelly” earlier this year.

But she wasn’t ready for critics who questioned why she waited so long to speak out.

She admitted: “It was really hard… the victim shaming, the victim-blaming, the backlash I was not prepared for.

“I thought, ‘Here I am coming forward, this is about women… women’s empowerment, we’re in this together, and I just want to give validity to these women’s stories and hopefully, if they don’t believe them at least they’ll say the ex-wife… she’s speaking…’ It was the complete opposite.”

Drea also hit out at those claiming she was lying about the abuse for money, insisting: “There’s no price tag on any woman’s soul… You can’t put a price on a life.
