The British rapper, real name Stephanie Victoria Allen, signed a $1.7 million contract with Polydor in 2017, and has since scored a big hit with French Montana collaboration “Hurtin’ Me,” which peaked at No.7 in the British charts and recently released single “Ding-A-Ling” featuring Skepta.

And in an interview with Britain’s ES magazine, she shared how she received encouragement from the *God’s Plan” rapper on how to stay focused as an artist.

“I remember having a conversation with Drake just before I signed. He said, ‘Make sure that whatever you do your opponent is scared of you,'” she shared. “That really stuck with me.”

Explaining that while she respects Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, she doesn’t limit her ambitions to being the best female rapper or the best U.K. rapper.

And when asked if she considered herself a feminist, the 26-year-old responded: “I bring a lot of female unity, first of all. See my videos. I always support anyone who I think is dope, female-wise. Whereas a lot of females are scared of other females.

“The most confident females in rap are often not that confident when they’re not rapping and they don’t want to mention anyone else. I’m not scared of that,” she added.

Stefflon appears on British singer Raye’s new single “Cigarette,” which also features Mabel.

The trio appears together in a video performance for the track filmed at London’s Kentish Town Forum venue.

(AllHipHop News) Wu-Tang Clan frontman RZA and his brother are being sued by one of the group’s longtime producers.

4th Disciple filed a lawsuit against RZA, born Robert Diggs and his brothers, Mitchell “Divine” Diggs.

The producer, whose credits include records for the main members of the Wu-Tang Clan, as well as affiliate groups like Killarmy, Sunz of Man, Killah Priest, Gravediggaz, and others.

According to the producer, he has been cheated out of millions in royalties since he signed a lopsided agreement with the brothers back in 1993.

“Plaintiff has never received an accounting statement nor any royalties under either the Production Agreement nor the Publishing Agreement, he has no idea what Recordings are
being claimed by Defendants under the Production Agreement nor what Compositions are being claimed under the Publishing Agreement,” 4th Disciple claims in his lawsuit.

“We reached out several times to RZA and his brother Mitchell, through their longtime attorney, and they refused to address the situation,” 4th Disciple’s lawyer Kevon Glickman told AllHipHop.com.

4th Disciple also claims he has never received accounting for any of his productions over the course of the last 25 years.

“Its a shame that with all of the success of the Wu Franchise, it will take a lawsuit to force the Diggs brothers to face their contractual responsibilities,” his lawyer Kevon Glickman added.

4th Disciple is seeking a full accounting oaΩ, in addition to at least $500,000 in damages.

The six-part documentary series chronicles Kalief Browder’s time on Rikers Island.

(AllHipHop News) Surviving Mobb Deep group member Havoc just lashed out of the group’s former management for filing a lawsuit against the group.

Buck 50 Productions claim they oversaw the careers of members Prodigy and Havoc from 2010 until P died at the age of 42 in 2017.

The company maintains they were owed $500,000 for unpaid work.

Havoc, who still reps Mobb Deep after Prodigy’s choking death, wasn’t feeling the actions of his former management.

“What kind of sicko sues his artist after he dies knowing that that man got kids,” Havoc fumed. “How his kids gonna eat? He’s taking food out his kids’ mouth. That’s some punk s##t.”

According to Havoc, he is considering a counter lawsuit against Buck 50 Productions.

“I ain’t worried about it, all my paperwork is in order and he was never my manager,” Havoc said.

(AllHipHop News) Meek Mill could encounter some problems when his bid for freedom heads to the Supreme Court in Pennsylvania.

The rap star could be freed in June after prosecutors recently agreed his original conviction should be vacated over perjured testimony given by the police officer who arrested him in his 2008 drug and gun case. The cop in question is named Reginald Graham, who had been placed on a list the District Attorney kept of corrupt police officers.

Meek and his lawyers have been using Graham’s perjured testimony as one of the main arguments for the rap star’s release.

But there were two other officers who assisted Reginald Graham in arresting Meek Mill.

New documents that have surfaced this week contain testimony of the second officer who arrested the rap star during an encounter over ten years ago.

According to police officer James Johnson’s sworn testimony, Meek Mill supposedly pointed a gun at his officer’s head as they attempted to raid a stash house.

Officer Johnson testified he was startled when Meek allegedly “pointed the gun pointed” at his head.

“I fell backwards and tried to take cover,” Officer Johnson testified. “I was blindsided by a .40 caliber handgun that was bigger than mine and I’m defenseless and I have two babies at home. What do I tell my wife after that? I can’t tell her anything.”

A third officer named Sylvia Jones who was present when Meek was arrested did not testify.

Earlier this week, prosecutors officially agreed Meek Mill’s case was tainted enough to grant the rapper a trial, which would have allowed him to be released on bail.

However, Judge Genece Brinkley refused any testimony from the defense during the proceedings, and instead set another hearing for June.

Meek and his legal team have claimed Judge Brinkley has a vendetta against him, as proven by her recent decision to keep him locked up in spite of overwhelming evidence that the rapper did not receive a fair trial.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Common is reportedly in talks to join Melissa Mccarthy and Elisabeth Moss in the movie adaptation of crime comic book series “The Kitchen.”

Set in New York City’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood in the 1970s, the story centers upon the wives of Irish mobsters, who take control of the crime operation when their husbands go to jail.

Common is in talks to portray Federal Bureau of Investigations agent Gary Silvers.

Tiffany Haddish, James Badge Dale, Jeremy Bobb, and Myk Watford have also been cast in the movie, which will begin production in New York next month.

It is slated for release in September 2019.

While details about his death are still being revealed, reports said the 28-year-old was found dead in the Muscat, Oman.

(AllHipHop News) Rap sensation Cardi B has been left floored after receiving applause from U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders for her thoughts on Social Security.

Cardi touched on her political ideas in a recent interview with GQ magazine, in which she praised former President Franklin D. Roosevelt for his 1935 legislation, which provides financial support for the elderly and disabled.

“First of all, he helped us get over the Depression, all while he was in a wheelchair,” she explained. “Like, this man was suffering from polio at the time of his presidency, and yet all he was worried about was trying to make America great – make America great again for real.

“He’s the real ‘Make America Great Again,'” Cardi said, making reference to current leader Donald Trump’s campaign slogan, “because if it wasn’t for him, old people wouldn’t even get Social Security.”

Cardi’s comments caught Sanders’ attention and he took to Twitter on Wednesday to show his support for her statements.”

Cardi B is right,” he tweeted. “If we are really going to make America great we need to strengthen Social Security so that seniors are able to retire with the dignity they deserve.”
