Pharrell Is The First Man To Star In A Chanel Bag Campaign

(AllHipHop News) Pharrell Williams has made history by becoming Chanel’s first bag campaign male model.

A short film featuring the “Happy” singer dancing around in an empty concert hall and strutting his stuff while promoting the brand’s newest Chanel Gabrielle bag was just released by the French fashion house.

The Grammy winner also appears to walk on a precarious beam in mid-air, nearly dropping the high-end handbag as he attempts to regain his balance.

The 44-year-old was announced as the first ever frontman of a Chanel handbag campaign in March, just months after he walked the catwalk for the iconic label’s Metiers d’Art runway show in Paris in December.

Creative director Karl Lagerfeld unveiled the handbag project exclusively to WWD, noting actress Kristen Stewart and model-turned-movie star Cara Delevingne would also be starring in the campaign, along with French star Caroline de Maigret.

Karl specifically chose Pharrell to promote the Gabrielle tote to emphasise to fans the bag can be worn in “many different circumstances” by different people.

“It’s not very feminine in the sense of being chichi,” Karl stressed.

Pharrell is all the rage in France’s fashion scene at the moment – last month he was awarded the prestigious Officier des Arts et des Lettres Award by French Minister of Culture Audrey Azoulay, who honored the star for his contribution to the arts in a ceremony held during Paris Fashion Week.

(AllHipHop Rumors) The breakdown in T.I. and Tiny’s marriage is getting more and more interesting!

As you can tell from social media and the Tip and Tiny’s recent media interviews, there is no chance of reconciliation.

Tiny expressed on The Wendy Williams Show that her and T.I. no longer have “anything.” T.I. told Angie Martinez that his marriage was a “distraction”.

Now an issue that fans have had with T.I. for a longtime has resurfaced: T.I. can work, but Tiny can’t.

So apparently when T.I. and Tiny met, Tiny was clearly already “on” because she was a member of the R&B group Xscape and an established songwriter.

She was said to not only have held Tip down over the years through his various legal issues, but to have also invested in his career early on.

It’s always been said that T.I. told her he didn’t want her to work anymore, and that he wanted her to stay home and take care of the kids. It probably sounded flattering at first until she woke up and realized that she actually had a career that she wanted to get back to.

Despite the fact that Tip and Tiny are in the process of divorcing, they have a new baby in the Family Hustle, and Tiny and Tip have been disagreeing about parenting. Tiny wants to take baby Heiress Harris on the road with her as Xscape does their reunion touring, and T.I. is not having it!

In fact Tip threatens her and tells her that she can’t take the baby on the road, and as a parent she has to sacrifice and stay home.

Notice he doesn’t say anything about him becoming a stay-at-home dad.

“I’m so proud of you; you are a working woman. Get on out there…… I want you to get out there and see. Just make sure you have some contingencies in place for these children,” said T.I.

When Tiny replied to Tip saying she was taking the baby on the road, Tip replied saying,

“Hell nah. My child is not finna. No. Well you need to stay home then……. No, no, no. Well you need to stay here. That’s a sacrifice you make as a parent.”

Tiny told T.I. that even Beyonce takes Blue Ivy with her.

“That baby is innocent and she will not. Listen man, you don’t want no trouble out of me. I’ma shut the whole thing down…… Don’t make me. I was excited about it and supportive of it, but now you are getting me in a place,” said T.I.

T.I. sounds a little bit hypocritical doesn’t he!

Nicki Minaj’s former Hoodstars group member 7even has recently discussed how close of a relationship he and the “Rap Queen” once had.

In the past there was talk that 7even and Nicki were on the run for attempted murder.

7even sat down with DJ Vlad to clear this up. He says,

“Well we wasn’t on the run for attempted murder. We had did a robbery. Well I did the robbery; she was the get away girl,” said 7even.

While 7even says he doesn’t want to give this story too much gas again because of previous backlash stemming from his previous interview, however he says he’s just telling his story.

Vlad asks how in the world did he convince Nicki to be a part of this?!?! 7even says back in the day Nicki was a G, and she wasn’t soft.

What’s crazy is 7even says he robbed a dude without a gun, grabbed a bunch of his jewelry, jumped in Nicki’s car, and Nicki sped off.

If Nicki Minaj was willing to be the get-away driver in this situation. I’m willing to bet that she was also involved in a lottttttt more back in the day.

Jay Z & Kanye West Reportedly Had Differing Ideas For “N-ggas In Paris” Song Title

(AllHipHop News) Was one of the biggest records on the juggernaut collaboration Watch The Throne almost given a different name?

Former Grantland publisher David Cho spoke with the A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal podcast about Jay Z and Kanye West’s 2011 joint album.

At one point, Cho discussed supposed conversations between Hov and Ye over the title for the song that became “N-ggas In Paris.”

“Jay wanted to call it ‘Ball So Hard,’ and Kanye was like, ‘No, we have to put the n-word in the title,'” stated Cho.

Apparently, Kanye wanted to put “n-gga” in every song title on Watch The Throne so people would have to confront the controversial word.

“I’m assuming the compromise ended up being, ‘Okay, we’ll put it in the title of this one song,'” Cho added.

“N-ggas In Paris” is one of the biggest hits off Watch The Throne.

The song was certified 5 times platinum, peaked at number five on the Billboard Hot 100, and won a Grammy for Best Rap Performance.

Jay and Kanye’s smash single also inspired numerous remixes/freestyles and even an illustrated book.

“I never want to talk about Yachty. I don’t think that Yachty is Hip Hop. And here we are on Monday morning, a beautiful Monday morning talking about Lil Yachty someone who I think is ruining the culture, someone who should not be accepted in this f-cking culture,” said Joe Budden.

I honestly don’t see one lie here! The “kids” seem to love Lil Yachty and think that people like Joe Budden are just old heads that aren’t with the times.

I think it’s time to tell the truth! Charlamagne wasn’t too far off with his comment about Yachty being the poster child for wack rappers. I just don’t understand how artists are okay with putting out trash and mediocre music.

Looking at the greats that came before them, or even the greats that are in the game with them now, how could one not push themselves to deliver the best quality music possible? Probably because it’s a money game to most. They don’t do it for the art or love of music. They do it to be famous and secure a bag. Carry on!

Jaden Smith Debuts His New Rock Band With His Sister Willow

(AllHipHop News) Actor and young style guru Jaden Smith is making a return to music after forming a new group with his singer sister Willow.

The “Karate Kid” star has previewed a new song he has made with his rock band, which features his sister Willow and girlfriend Odessa Adlon.

The 18-year-old, who appeared on pal Justin Bieber’s 2010 hit “Never Say Never,” posted the new track on social media, adding, “This is a clip from a rock band I’m starting (sic)… Yes Odessa is in the band so is Willow.”

Meanwhile, Jaden, who is currently shooting “Life in a Year” with Cara Delevingne and Cuba Gooding, Jr. in Toronto, Canada, is also planning to debut a single for South Korea’s massive K-Pop market later this year.

(AllHipHop News) “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” co-stars will “never” reunite for a TV return because the sitcom “doesn’t work” without late family patriarch James Avery, according to actor Alfonso Ribeiro.

The 45-year-old was able to catch up with his old TV family members, including Will Smith and Tatyana Ali, last month during an event for children’s charity Sweet Blackberry, founded by co-star Karyn Parsons, who played Alfonso’s onscreen sister Hilary Banks.

He posted a photo of the group, which also featured Daphne Maxwell Reid and Joseph Marcell, on social media, and lamented the absence of James, known for playing Philip Banks, aka Uncle Phil, who died in 2013 from complications following open heart surgery.

In the accompanying caption, Alfonso, who portrayed Avery’s TV son Carlton Banks, wrote, “Always amazing to spend an afternoon with my Fresh Prince family. Wishing that James Avery was still with us to make this complete.”

He was asked about the sweet snap during a guest-hosting stint on U.S. breakfast show “Today” on Monday, when Alfonso admitted he had a good time reminiscing with his old pals, but insisted they would never sign up for a “Fresh Prince” reboot without Avery, who was famed for his deep, booming vocals.

“The reason why I always say we will never do any episodes again is simply because… the show doesn’t work without James Avery, and with his passing, it just felt like that was the final like, ‘Nah,'” Alfonso said. “He was the bass. It’s like, you have music and it’s just all treble (without him). You gotta have that bass.”

His comments emerge four months after leading star Will Smith dismissed the idea of reprising his titular role in December, when industry rumors suggested the popular 1990s series would be the next old franchise to be revived following the recent success of hits like the “Full House” revamp and the “Gilmore Girls” mini-series.

“I’m not doing it,” he told Entertainment Tonight, adding, “If somebody wanted to (take over the role), I would probably let them, but I have no intention.”

“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” aired for six seasons from 1990 to 1996, and turned rapper/actor Smith into a household name.

He went on to carve out a successful movie career, with roles in blockbusters like “Bad Boys,” “Men in Black,” and “Independence Day.”

Chance The Rapper Performs His Own Version Of Kanye West’s “Waves” (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Chance The Rapper’s presence was greatly felt on Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo album.

Besides arguably having the best verse on the project thanks to his bars for “Ultralight Beam,” Chano also played a role in the creation of the song “Waves.”

Kanye even blamed the delay of TLOP on Chance finishing up the track.

“It’s Chance’s fault the album not out yet… he really wanted Waves on that B-tch… we in the lab now…,” tweeted Ye in February of 2016.

The Grammy winner championed the inclusion of the record on Pablo in his own Twitter message not long after Kanye’s explanation tweet.

“I fought everyone to keep Waves on the album. I spent all night finishing it. The world is better because of it,” wrote Chance.

During the “Be Encouraged Tour” stop in San Diego, Chance performed his own version of “Waves.”

The crowd at the Valley View Casino Center also got to hear the popular TLOP song “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1.”

According to reports, Jay-Z and Beyoncé have put in a massive $120 million bid in for the estate, as they prepare to welcome a set of twins this summer.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé are taking their family’s security serious.

The 30,000 square-foot mansion sits on over 2 acres of land atop a hill, which is lined with metal security gates as an extra precaution against an overzealous intruder.

If all else fails, their new mega mansion comes complete with bulletproof windows.

Some of the other amenities inside of the eight-bedroom, 11 bathroom mansion include a 15-car garage, recording studios, and four pools.

The Carter’s have been eyeing pricey real estate in Bel Air for years.

They moved into the area in October, when it was revealed they were renting a mansion for $120,000 a month, after being outbid by designer, Tom Ford.

The married couple has one daughter, Blue Ivy and is preparing for a pair of twin newborns who will be welcomed into the family around July.

Snoop Dogg & Daz Dillinger Are Working On A TV Series Based On Tha Dogg Pound

(AllHipHop News) After the huge success of the N.W.A biopic Straight Outta Compton, there were reports a movie about Tha Dogg Pound could be next.

Deadline is now reporting Snoop Dogg and Daz Dillinger are shopping a drama series to television networks based on the Death Row Records group.

“We saw Dre leave, Pac murdered, and we were forced to run the company when Suge Knight went back to prison. Our perspective is honest and unique,” said Dillinger. “There are countless stories that the world has never heard about those early days.”

Dillinger and Kurupt made up the duo known as Tha Dogg Pound.

They regularly worked on music with Snoop, like the tracks “Doggy Dogg World,” “What Would You Do,” and “New York, New York.”

Damian Zellous – the director of the DPG Eulogy documentary – and Kenya Ware are on board to executive produce the untitled Dogg Pound TV project.

Kendrick Lamar’s “Humble” Hits #1 On The Hot 100, All 14 ‘DAMN’ Tracks Chart (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Kendrick Lamar’s latest musical effort, DAMN, earned the honor of collecting the highest number of first-week sales units for 2017.

Besides ruling on the album chart, Kung Fu Kenny is also having a great showing on the Hot 100 songs chart as well.

According to Billboard, “Humble” is set to be the #1 song in the country.

The DAMN single is Lamar’s first Hot 100 chart topper as a lead artist.

In addition, the other 13 tracks from the TDE representative’s fourth studio album hit the chart.

“DNA” debuts at #4, giving Lamar his fifth Top 10 single of his career.

“Loyalty,” “Element,” and “Love” also entered the Hot 100 in the Top 20.
