(AllHipHop News) News that Daystar “Tory Lanez” Peterson was arrested on gun and drug charges hit the internet this week.

The “Luv” performer was taken into custody in Florida’s Broward County for carrying a concealed firearm, possession of marijuana, failure to register a motor vehicle, failure to show proof of liability insurance, and driving without a valid driver’s license.

Lanez took to Instagram to respond to the reports.

He wrote:

Chris Brown Confirms Whether Or Not He’s Upset With Quavo

(AllHipHop Rumors) Chris Brown is apparently fed up with the fake news reports.

Rumor hit that Chris Brown was allegedly mad at his good friend, Migos member Quavo, since Quavo has been rumored to be dating Breezy’s ex, Karrueche.

Chris Brown has told the public a time or two that TMZ makes up stories on him, and they never get their facts right when it comes to him. He even posted and deleted a repost from a fan that said,

“If you read an article that says “Sources close to Chris Brown told TMZ” and you keep reading it or believe it, CONGRATS YOU’RE A M####.”

While TMZ may have gotten this one wrong, I’m still wondering how Quavo is getting off the hook easy with Chris Brown since we know that Chris has beefed with everyone about that girl. Chris is definitely not over her. Do you think Chris just doesn’t want those problems with Quavo and Migos?

Did Lil Wayne’s Fiancee Give Birth To His Fifth Child?

Rumor has it that Lil Wayne and his long-time fiancee Dhea may have welcomed the rapper’s 5th child.

Anyway as you know Lil Wayne already has 4 kids with his baby mama club that includes Toya Wright (who was actually his ex-wife), Nivea, Lauren London, and Sarah Vivan.

I forgot Dhea was said to have been pregnant last year when folks were saying that they wouldn’t let people take pictures of a very pregnant Dhea at a Christmas gathering.

Well it’s good to see that Wayne had slowed down on his baby making before this one. Remember when some of his baby mamas were pregnant around the same time?

Kodak Black Wants His Baby Mama Punished Over Her “Broke Lies”

(AllHipHop Rumors) Kodak Black is still not here for his baby mama!

According to the 19-year-old rapper, his baby mama has been telling some pretty big lies during their child support and custody case.

Kodak Black doesn’t believe his baby mama, Jammier Broomfield, is as poor as she claims, and because of her poverty lies, he wants her punished in their custody battle over their son King Khalid.

According to Bossip, Black filed a motion last month to slap sanctions on Broomfield for perjury and knowingly providing false information after the 19-year-old mom claimed that she was unemployed and too broke to pay her less than $300 filing fees. Broomfield also requested that Black pay her emergency child support and all of her legal bills.

Bossip has also learned via Kodak’s camp that Broomfield financial status has been questioned after she quit her job and leased a BMW in the same month.

Broomfield’s lawyers have been clapping back claiming that she can’t keep a job because she can’t afford daycare, and has been living with her parents after she dropped out of high school. Her lawyers are also claiming that Kodak doesn’t pay his child support consistently, but Kodak has clapped back with some receipts from this year.

What’s crazy is, whether or not this woman is lying about her financial troubles, she’ll probably still be victorious in the case because of Kodak’s recent criminal charges and various run-ins with the law.

All of this could’ve been avoided had someone wrapped it up. LOL.

Young Thug Reportedly Owes Millions!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Things aren’t looking so good for Thugger!

Apparently Young Thug’s former manager, Manny Halley, wasn’t lying when he said the rapper’s finances were messed up!

Halley previously claimed that Thugger was experiencing devastating debt so bad that he couldn’t even pay his light bill and cell phone bill.

There has been a lot of finger pointing on who is to blame, but Halley maintains that Thugger’s financial woes are a result of mismanaged money by David Weise and Associates!

Welp, according to this new lawsuit, Thugger’s money may be looking a bit low.

According to the AJC, Heritage Select Homes, LLC filed a lawsuit claiming that Young Thug owes more than $2.2 million in payments for his home in Atlanta’s Buckhead Heights neighborhood.

Apparently Thugger had an agreement on the home that include a promissory note with balloon payments to help document and clarify the terms of his loan since it’s designed to have one or more larger payments due at the end of the repayment period.

Under this balloon promissory note agreement, Thugger was reportedly scheduled to pay $86,500 on Oct. 19; $86,033 on Nov. 19; $150,567 on Dec. 19; and then two more payments of $14,667 in January and February.

On March 19, Thugger was supposed to pay a sum of $2,214,667 on the home, but Young Thug failed to make that payment, according to the lawsuit filed by Atlanta-based firm Knight Johnson, LLC.

Dang Thug, throw a house party and invite us fast in case you have to move. Thugger doesn’t seem too bothered though. He’s enjoying life as a easy, breezy, Thugger girl. Lawd.

Ludacris Discusses His Ridiculed CGI Abs In The “Vitamin D” Video While On ‘Conan’ (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Ludacris was hit with jokes from the collective internet for the computer-generated abdominal muscles in his “Vitamin D” music video.

While on Conan, Luda was asked about those CGI abs.

“I worked hard for that chest and those abs,” quipped Ludacris on the late night program.

When asked if he thought he would “get away with” the fake muscles, Luda responded, “I knew 100 percent I would, because this is typical Ludacris behavior. If anybody had seen any of my videos, this is 100 percent meant to be… I like having fun… I don’t take myself too serious. ‘Ludicrous’ means beyond crazy, wild, ridiculous.”

Other videos from the Grammy-winning emcee – such as “Rollout” and “Get Back” – feature him with overly exaggerated body parts as well.

Ludacris took all the Twitter wisecracks about his computerized “Vitamin D” body in stride.

“Do you want your own fake abs, but can’t afford CGI? Get your fake abs here for $11.81!” tweeted The Fate of the Furious cast member on April 10.

The next day he added, “I thought I told y’all NOBODY F-ckin wit me! Stop trying! .”

Alicia Keys Gets Special Award From Amnesty International

(AllHipHop News) Alicia Keys has been named the 2017 recipient of Amnesty International’s prestigious Ambassador of Conscience Award.

The “Empire State of Mind” singer has been chosen by executives of the human rights organization in recognition of her philanthropic work, which includes co-founding non-profit Keep a Child Alive, which helps those affected by HIV in Africa and India. She also co-founded the We Are Here movement, which helps encourage millennials to take positive action to help fight social issues such as gun control and criminal justice reform.

The 36-year-old said in a statement she was honored to be selected for the award, calling the news “one of the most proud moments of my life.”

“It encourages me to continue to speak out against injustice and use my platform to draw attention to the issues that matter to me,” she continued. “Our conscience is something we are all gifted with at birth, no matter who we are. That little voice that speaks to you and tells you when something is not right, I always use as my guide.

“Since I was a small girl my inner voice would yell at me! Now I just say, OK, what can I do? That is a question we can ask ourselves and then act upon.”

The Ambassador of Conscience Award, which is given to those who use their talents to inspire others and stand up to injustice, has previously been given to public figures such as Nelson Mandela, Malala Yousafzai and singer Joan Baez.

Alicia will receive the prize during a ceremony in Montreal, Canada on May 27 alongside members of the Indigenous rights movement of Canada.

“Both Alicia Keys and the Indigenous rights movement of Canada have in their own ways made inspirational and meaningful contributions to advancing human rights and towards ensuring brighter possibilities for future generations,” Sali Shetty, Secretary General of Amnesty International, said. “Crucially, they remind us never to underestimate how far passion and creativity can take us in fighting injustice.”

Tyga Accused Of Dodging Medical Bills After Light Stand Falls on Fan

(AllHipHop News) Embattled rapper Tyga has found himself in another legal mess after reportedly failing to compensate a woman injured at a gig.

Shyanne Riekena sued Tyga’s company Tyga Music in 2015 after a light stand fell on her during one of the rap star’s shows in Michigan.

She scored victory last year, when a judge awarded her over $230,000 for head trauma and permanent scarring she endured following the accident.

But almost a year later, Tyga Music bosses haven’t paid up, and now Riekena has filed documents to force the rapper to pay up.

Due to interest, the amount he owes is now over $248,500.

News of the new legal drama comes hours after Tyga was handcuffed by police officers on Wednesday morning (April 12) for allegedly driving a vehicle without proper license plates.

The 27-year-old was reportedly leaving the Avenue nightclub in Hollywood in his new custom Mercedes G-Series SUV when he was pulled over by police officers for having paper license plates.

Video footage shows Tyga, real name Michael Ray Stevenson, speaking with police officers through the window of the vehicle before voluntarily leaving the car. He was then guided to the police car by an officer and handcuffed before being placed in the rear of the vehicle.

In the state of California, it became illegal to drive without proper plates last year.

He was reportedly taken down to a police station and released 90 minutes later. He left with a citation.

DJ Premier To Showcase Gang Starr Catalog On New Tour With The BADDER Band

(AllHipHop News) DJ Premier is finally unveiling his new five-piece band in collaboration with The BADDER Band.

The combo debuted their first studio track and video with Rolling Stone in 2015, after a studio session and tour together in Japan.

DJ Premier will man the turntables during a massive outing with The BADDER Band starting on May 31 in Canada.

The band will hit the road and improvise tracks through Gang Starr’s legendary discography, while DJ Premier uses his turntables to showcase the musicality of rap music.

“I miss that dude so much, and we have a long and undeniable track record,” DJ Premier said. “I get to do rare Gang Starr records, not just ‘Mass Appeal,’ and it works.”

“My addiction is turntables, drum machines, guitars, amps, and a lot of speakers,” the producer continued. “I have fun doing a whole bunch of different styles with the band, because they fall into place so well, with everything that we’ve brought into the picture, no matter what it is.”

DJ Premier and The BADDER Band will depart for a 16-city tour starting May 31st in Victoria, BC and concluding June 23rd in Philadelphia.

Tory Lanez Busted With Gun and Drugs In Florida

(AllHipHop News) Hip-hop star Tory Lanez has been arrested in Florida on suspicion of drug and gun possession.

The Canadian rapper/singer, real name Daystar Peterson, was pulled over by Miramar police on Wednesday (April 12) for a problem with his car tags, but the routine stop turned more serious when he failed to produce a valid driver’s license, according to reports.

A gun and a small amount of marijuana was also spotted in his vehicle, and he was taken into custody.

He was charged with carrying a concealed firearm, a third degree felony, and misdemeanour possession of cannabis 20 grams (0.71 ounces) or less.

The Canadian singer was also slapped with counts for failure to register a motor vehicle, driving without a valid driver’s license, and failure to show proof of liability insurance.

The 24-year-old was released after posting $1,000 bond. His representatives have yet to comment on the reports.

The star is due to serve as a support act on Future’s upcoming Nobody Safe Tour, which kicks off in Memphis, Tennessee on May 4.

J. Prince Promises To “Grab” Money Out Of Birdman’s Ass in Massive Lawsuit Over Royalties

(AllHipHop News) Rap-A-Lot James Prince is not letting up on Bryan “Birdman” Williams as a $51 million lawsuit involving Young Money Records continues to drag on.

Lil Wayne filed the $51 million lawsuit against Cash Money in January of 2015, claiming the label blew Young Money’s advances, as well as advances for his album Tha Carter V, in addition to cheating him out of millions in royalties.

As a result, J. Prince’s son J. Prince Jr., who discovered and signed Drake to his former label, has also been having a tough time getting millions worth of payments out of Birdman too.

TMZ caught J. Prince coming out of the Roosevelt in Hollywood, where he addressed the matter.

“Lil Wayne, that’s the homie. As I stated publicly a few times, we gonna get to the bottom of that,” said J. Prince, who was enlisted by Lil Wayne to help recover the lost money.

Lil Wayne Wants To Know How Birdman Spent $70 Million In Advances In New Filing

According to J. Prince, he plans on making Birdman “bird man and his associates “an offer they can’t refuse.”

J. Prince is adamant that he will eventually track down the massive amounts of money owed in the lawsuits.

“[The money] it’s got to be somewhere. Even if we have to reach out and grab it, even if it’s in his ass,” J. Prince said.

Ludacris To Host & Produce ‘Fear Factor’ Series Reboot On MTV

(AllHipHop News) The Fate of the Furious movie star Chris “Ludacris” Bridges is headed to the small screen.

Ludacris has signed on to host the new version of Fear Factor, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The veteran rapper signed a deal with MTV which includes him executive producing a 12-episode reboot of the daredevil game show.

“I am excited to kick off my partnership with MTV, starting with the relaunch of Fear Factor, which will be even more insane and ludicrous than what you remember,” stated Luda. “This will be the first of many great projects together.”

Beginning in 2001, the original Fear Factor ran on NBC for six seasons and was hosted by comedian Joe Rogan.

The show was revived for one season in 2011.

Ludacris’ edition of Fear Factor will premiere May 30 at 10 pm on MTV.

YG Pulled Over By Cops With Open Bottle of Liquor

(AllHipHop News) Rapper YG was handcuffed by Los Angeles police officers on Wednesday (April 12) following a traffic stop.

The hip-hop star, real name Keenon Jackson, was driving with friends on Wednesday morning, when they were pulled over by cops who spotted the vehicle’s improper license plates.

The 27-year-old was not driving the vehicle, but he was handcuffed during the stop after he reportedly became “uncooperative.”

According to TMZ, officers searched the vehicle and found an open bottle of alcohol.

One of YG’s friends received a ticket for the open container, while another passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant.

YG received a ticket for not wearing a seatbelt.

He was released and left the scene in the back seat of the car.

They intelligently capture the pure essence of old school hip-hop, R&B, and soul with a youthful hardcore energy while using classic samples to create and develop beats for any ear’s enjoyment. It’s clear ASDR is on a mission to help bring real hip-hop music back to your speakers, one track at a time.

In late 2016, ASDR released their debut mixtape, “Health Wealth & Vibe” on Soundcloud, ReverbNation, Itunes, Datpiff, and Spinrilla. As the project gained local respect, it was a vision of theirs to showcase the music visually. They then decided to began the journey to a complete visual project. “Health Wealth and Vibe Vol 1.” was created to break the mold of what hip-hop culture and music today has become. With influences from hip-hop greats like Eric B. and Rakim, KRS-ONE, Nas and Public Enemy, the lyrics reach deep within the group members, Da’Shonte Riley “Tae” and Anthony Strickland II “Strick,” to paint pictures of their circumstances– good and bad, over the years. There is a part in the “Willow Run” song where they explain how Ypsilanti and Willow Run have different zip codes, although each city is recognized on the map as Ypsilanti, Michigan. Side note, as of 2013 the Willow Run School District was dissolved and later reestablished and combined with the neighborhood district, Ypsilanti Public School to create Ypsilanti Community Schools.

The other two videos wrap around their “For the Culture” series where you get the inside of what happens when Strick and Tae get together and discuss what the culture needs and how they plan to change it through music. They go from general conversation to Strick spittin’ flows all in a 2-minute sitting. It’s a lot to take in but definitely worth the listen.

Bryson Tiller Announces His Sophomore Album Is Complete

(AllHipHop News) It has been two years since Bryson Tiller broke out as a new R&B star with 2015’s platinum-certified TRAPSOUL album.

In January, Tiller revealed the title of his next LP, and the Louisville native is now telling his followers True to Self is done.

“Sophomore album complete. I always feel like I got a lot more to say whenever I’m ‘done’ but I’ll save it for the next one I guess,” wrote the singer-songwriter on Twitter.

Tiller may have given a hint to the sound of his sophomore album when he dropped “Let Me Explain” in 2016.

His discography also includes the Top 40 hits “Don’t” and “Exchange” off TRAPSOUL.

EXCLUSIVE: Snoop Dogg Talks Donald Trump Not Having A “Playbook” For Running The Country (VIDEOS)

(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop legend Snoop Dogg found himself in the middle of a national controversy last month.

BADBADNOTGOOD’s “Lavender” music video featured Snoop firing a toy gun at a clown resembling Donald Trump.

The president then made Snoop one of his Twitter targets, and public reaction to the situation played out on social media as well as entertainment and political news outlets.

AllHipHop.com’s Chuck Creekmur sat down with Snoop to talk about his upcoming Neva Left album, Tupac Shakur, and of course Trump.

“I don’t know where we’re at as a country. It’s like [Trump] is running audibles at the line of scrimmage,” said Snoop. “What is his playbook? I’m sitting back watching like y’all. I don’t want to offend nobody and say nothing the wrong way, but at the same time I’m confused.”

Trump has reversed his position on several campaign promises (e.g. jailing Hillary Clinton, labeling China a currency manipulator) or has been unable to implement policies he advocated for during the campaign (e.g. the travel ban, repeal of Obamacare).

According to a CNBC analysis, an overwhelming number of the initiatives laid out in Trump’s first 100 days action plan, called the “Contract with the American Voter,” have yet to be achieved in the first 100 days of his presidency.

Snoop made it clear he will continue to speak out about Donald Trump and other issues that are important to him.

“I take my stance on who I am and what I’m here for. I am the voice of the people that can’t speak,” stated the Long Beach representative. “I move in a way that others can’t move, and some of them ain’t equip to do what I do, but I’m willing to do what needs to be done when the time is right.”

He continued, “Right now, I’m just sitting back watching the show just like you, trying to figure it out and make sure that God got his hands around us, making sure we’re alright and we’re able to press forward.”

Boosie Badazz Talks Building Criminal And Civil Cases Against Cops Over Missing Jewelry (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) According to Boosie Badazz, the Biloxi police department found $1 million worth of jewelry that he says went missing after an encounter with the cops.

“I get a phone call saying the police department has found my jewelry,” Boosie told NewsOne Now‘s Roland Martin. “This is crazy. Nobody knows where my jewelry at for three days.”

The Baton Rouge-bred rapper accused Biloxi cops of taking his items after some members of his entourage were taken into custody for alleged assault and stolen gun possession.

Boosie threatened to organize a protest against the Biloxi PD, and he reportedly sent lawyers to the town to begin possible legal actions against the department.

At first, Biloxi authorities denied being in possession of Boosie’s jewelry.

Apparently, the jewelry was later discovered by the police.

“Now my sack is at the police station with all my jewelry in there,” responded Boosie to the news cops found his items. “They’re telling me to come get it. I’m not coming to get it. I’m sending my attorney.”

Boosie plans to hire private investigators to build both criminal and civil cases.
