Taxstone Pleads Not Guilty To Gun Charges Related Deadly Shootout With Troy Ave

(AllHipHop News) Popular podcaster Taxstone appeared in court yesterday (February 24), to face charges related to a deadly shooting at Irving Plaza last year.

Taxstone, born Daryl Campbell, has pleaded not guilty to federal gun charges related to the May 21, 2016 incident.

That was the day Taxstone and Troy Ave had an altercation just before a T.I. concert in a green room at the famed venue.

The two men confronted each other, shots were fired and four people, including Troy Ave, were struck by bullets.

Troy’s bodyguard and childhood friend Ronald “Banga” McPhatter” was struck in the stomach and killed during the melee, which went viral after police released footage of Troy blasting away at Taxstone in the middle of the packed venue.

Police claim Taxstone brought the 9mm Kel-Tec handgun used in the shooting to the venue since they believe an friend of Tax’s bought the gun from another person in Florida.

Investigators say both Taxstone and Troy Ave’s DNA is on the murder weapon, but neither man has been charged with murder.

However, Troy Ave faces an attempted murder charge, which he has also pleaded not guilty to.

Troy Ave is currently out on $500,000 bail, while Taxstone is still behind bars, although he could be released on bail shortly, according to his lawyer Ken Montgomery.

Kodak Black Thinks He & This Singer Could Be The Next Jay Z & Beyonce!

(AllHipHop Rumors) They say the power of imagination makes us infinite!

I hate to break it to Kodak Black like this, but it ain’t gonna happen!

Kodak Black is out here trying to shoot his shot at Ariana Grande! Someone get Mac Miller on the phone. LOL!

Get this, Kodak believes that if Ariana gives him a shot, he and Ari can be the next Jay Z and Beyonce. Boy if you don’t…..

While many are fed up with Kodak Black and his antics, there are others who love him for them. Remember this is the same guy that exposed the net when he dropped his phone in the shower, and when he IG live-streamed an orgy.

While Grande likes herself a rapper or two, Kodak Black wouldn’t exactly be her type. Now she’d definitely go for a Drake!

Who would be a more practical singer for Kodak to shoot his shot with?!

Migos Sued For Millions For Keeping $20,000 Worth Of Stylists’ Clothes

(AllHipHop News) Hit rap group Migos ended a tumultuous week with a lawsuit.

The group is accused of keeping over $20,000 worth of clothing from a video shoot.

According to a stylist named Marcus Clark, the guys made an appearance in a video for artist Niykee Heaton.

Clark claims he styled The Migos for the video and provided $18,000 worth of luxury shirts, in addition to almost $1,000 worth of designer sunglasses.

Clark claims the group kept his luxury goods, and now he’s demanding over $1 million in damages relating to the loss of clothing.

The lawsuit against Migos comes just days after the rappers and their crew were accused of applying a beatdown to singer Sean Kingston, inside of the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.
Sean Kingston suffered no visible injuries in the fight, although one of his associates was arrested for discharging a gun inside of the Convention Center and pointing it at two people.

Drake’s Fast Food Binge Continues In London With Massive Hamburger Order

(AllHipHop News) Drake continued his habit of mass ordering fast food by requesting countless burgers after his gigs in Birmingham, England.

The “Hotline Bling” singer played two shows, bringing on special guests Lil Yachty and Giggs at the city’s Barclaycard Arena on Wednesday and Thursday, following which he treated himself and his crew to dinner from burger and craft beer specialists Original Patty Men.

The venue’s official Twitter account shared a photo of loads of wrapped burgers ready and waiting to be delivered, alongside the caption: “When @Drake calls and orders a takeaway. He means business !!”

The 30-year-old has been making quite the impression on the U.K. since he touched down as part of his Boy Meets World Tour on January 30.

After performing in Manchester, England, earlier this month the musician made the mammoth order of over $1,800 worth of Domino’s pizza, which equated to so much food that 10 staff members were needed to deliver it.

And at his gig in Leeds he left customers at Nando’s chicken restaurant hungry when he ordered $665 worth of food, with one person revealing on Twitter that Drake’s order meant they couldn’t be served.

He has also scooped a BRIT Award for International Male Solo Artist at the event in London on Wednesday, during his time in the country.

“GET OUT”: Are The Days Of Brothers Lusting For White Girls Over?

(AllHipHop Editorial) The relationship with Black men and White women is one that goes back scores of generations, deeply intertwined into the racial fabric of this nation. Black men and White women have often had an electro-magnetic pull to each other that has resulted in tragedy and, other times, triumph.

The allure of the White woman…

I never comprehensively understood why some Black men longed so deeply for White women. Some of them were super obsessed to the point of being uber-corny and all gushing with self-hate. I suspected some guys wanted to get White men back for their savage r#### ways in the slavery days. There were plenty of success stories too, you know, like Kanye And Kim. I kid. I realize now that many people were just happy to be able to love freely regardless of skin color.

After meeting the acquaintance of Rose, I mean Allison Williams, I feel like I was momentarily stricken with the same carnal urges as my heart-faced high school associates. See, I have never dated outside of my lovely, mighty Black race. I have some great friends that are White, but none that I have been intimate with. After watching Allison play “Rose” in Jordan Peele’s brilliantly intense thriller “Get Out,” I feel like I got it for a moment.

Allison, I mean Rose…or is that Allison, was so freakin’ nice in real life. In the movie, I could relate. Daniel Kaluuya the British thespian who plays the chocolate, but vulnerable brother Chris, is in love with Rose. Rose and Chris’ seemingly idyllic relationship has come to a pivotal place and guess who’s coming to dinner? The cute, loving couple head upstate for a weekend getaway upstate with the parents, Missy and Dean. The awkwardness is misconstrued and a sinister plot with evil implications emerges.

A review is almost pointless. “Get Out” is a must-see movie and – without question – the smartest, thought-provoking, thrillstastic horror movie I’ve ever seen. I am not a connoisseur of the genre, but I just find first time director Jordan Peele’s ability to intersect race with horror to be masterful. Hell, we all know that the Black person is the first to go in traditional  horror movies. This is a stress fracture level break with thriller tradition.

Peele has been known to make deeper statements through his art, but has taken such liberties with comedy. Even “Get Out” has such moments, as they are unavoidable. Lil Rel Howery, the boisterous comedian is the movie’s voice of reason and the comedy. He’s also sort of like the quintessential “every-Black-person” that will be screaming at the screen. The New York move screening  was hilarity. People – ok Black women – yelled a multitude of “We told ya’ll about dating those Beckys” and “Hit him!” Indeed, it was a community event.

“Get Out” sets a new standard for film making around issues of race, especially by Black film makers. It doesn’t pander to audiences’ typical sensibilities about race relations and conflict. There are no big mamas, boys in the hood, police or slave narratives. It should make you think, providing you have a brain. There may be some latent depression once you realize the true gravity of the movie subtext. There is blatant evil, but it comes from an unlikely place with unlikely participants. Take that, Liberal Elite. Stab with a twist.

See “Get Out” and remember, if you happen to meet Allison Williams, remember…she’s not Rose. Date on, Black man, date on, you gotta date on, Black man, date on.

We out.

Below are some clips from the cast at an exclusive talk back in New York City for the movie.

“Why is this happening? What did we do?”

“She’s such a unique psycho.”

“This movie is everything my aunties said would happen if I brought home a White girl.”

Chuck Creekmur is a lot of things, but he really loves writing.  Here is is with Allison Williams, and the stars of “Get Out.”

Netflix Announces Premiere Date For ‘The Get Down’ Part II (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) The Hip Hop fueled program The Get Down will be back in two months.

After debuting in August, the Netflix original series is returning to the streaming platform on April 7.

There were rumors The Get Down was canceled, but supervising producer Nelson George issued a statement in September confirming the musical drama set in the 1970’s was continuing.

“Part two comes this spring,” posted George.

The Get Down stars Justice Smith, Shameik Moore, Herizen F. Guardiola, Jaden Smith, and Jimmy Smits.

Hip Hop legend Nas was heavily involved in writing the lyrics used on the show.

Guess Who’s In The Beyhive & Hoping For A Beyonce Collaboration?!

(AllHipHop Rumors) I mean who doesn’t want to work with the Queen Bey?!

Yall can play like yall don’t realize it, but Beyonce even has some of yall’s favorite rappers in “Formation”, okay.

During an interview, Migos member Quavo revealed that he was indeed a card-holding dues-paying member of Beyonce’s fan base, the Beyhive.

Takeoff even revealed that the entire group was in the Beyhive. Apparently the Migos are HUGE fans of Beyonce, and Quavo stated that they’d love to collaborate with her. He even went on to call her the Queen.

Now Beyonce has been known to give a few surprises, but I don’t really see her collaborating with Migos. She would’ve been more likely to incorporate “Bad & Boujee” into one of her dance sets [as she did with many songs] on tour than to do a song with them. Or DJ Khaled would’ve been more likely to bring them out during his Hip Hop sets that opened her Formation Tour, than for them to be on the same track. But hey, never say never.

Migos, we totally understand and are right there with you in the Beyhive.

Do Not Ask Chris Brown About Karrueche!

(AllHipHop Rumors) As you know TMZ’s paparazzi has no chill, and they are always on a mission to get down to the truth, troll, or find out what’s really going on. LOL.

One of their camera men caught up with Chris Brown and decided to ask him what’s the deal with the restraining order Karrueche filed against him, as she cited that her former lover, Chris, threatened to kill her and previously abused her.

C. Breezy was partying Thursday night with what some have described as a Karrueche look-alike. Surprisingly Brown remained calm as he tried to drive off and avoid being questioned about the incident, and Karrueche’s claims.

Remember Karrueche accused Chris of pushing her down stairs, punching her in the stomach, and even threatening to kill her. She also claims that Chris has been warning folks that if he can’t have her, no one can.

Karrueche must have an award-winning personality and v## because lawd, he still isn’t over her.

As Chris was leaving 1 OAK, he was in no mood to talk about the claims. I’m actually surprised that he didn’t get out the car and “Run It” on the paps. Yall aren’t gonna make me forget that he beat the brakes off of Rihanna and threw that chair through Good Morning America’s window either.

Well there’s three sides to every story, and here, clearly someone is lying. Whose side are you on?

Future Is Under Fire For Stance On Parenting

(AllHipHop Rumors) Just as Future was apologizing for his “past aint shhh” ways, it seems like he may have actually just taken a few steps back.

Right before dropping his second album in under two weeks, Future got candid with Zane Lowe on Beats 1.

Future is really pleased with the way he was able to put out as much music as he did back-to-back, and he expressed his excitement about being able to give fans another part of him, which is Future HNDRXXX.

Future says his latest album was the “real honest” album as back in 2014, he was just using the title. Now Future says he’s actually able to be open and honest in his music.

His music wasn’t the only thing he was honest about. He also opened up about fatherhood.

Future explained that he’s able to make so much music, because he’s addicted to creating it, and addicted to the studio. The only problem is his addiction keeps him away from his children, Prince, Londyn, and Future Zahir at times.

Future came under fire for saying his children have to understand that they have to sacrifice some things and some time spent because they have a superstar father. Most would believe that Future would say that he actually had to sacrifice some career-related things to BE a better father. The kids didn’t ask to be here.

“You gotta sacrifice so much, even the times with your kids. You have to just do music and you’re becoming this entertainer and so many people require so much of your time for different things, different obligations you have to make money, or just different obligations you have as a person in whatever the situation may be. You gotta leave town and miss out on certain things, that you feel like you should be there. Like, your dad should be a part of this moment. I gotta be like, ‘Damn, man, your daddy really a superstar and entertainer.’ My kids gotta understand, they gotta make a sacrifice, having a superstar dad. My career choice is my career choice. Just stepping out of that zone, to be able to be a provider. I understand my position as a provider and my role as a dad also…Just being able to be comfortable with it. Everybody wanna be a super dad and the best dad ever but sometimes, I’m just realizing that I’m not perfect,” said Future.

Maybe Future meant well, and just expressed it wrong, because there are plenty of celebrity parents that have made sure to be there often for their children. Future stated that he understands that fatherhood is more than being a provider, but do you think he really gets it? Some even felt like Future was using being an entertainer as an excuse to be an absentee father. What are your thoughts?

Lyrics Study Determines Which Artists Mention Cars The Most In Their Music

(AllHipHop News) An appreciation for motor vehicles has been part of Hip Hop culture from the early days. Even Sugarhill Gang’s seminal 1979 hit “Rapper’s Delight” shouted out the Lincoln Continental and a sunroof Cadillac.

AutoNation analyzed lyrics to find out which car brands were talked about the most in music from the 1960’s to present day. Not surprisingly, Hip-Hop acts dominated the chart of musicians with the most car mentions in their tunes.

Los Angeles emcee The Game came in at number one, followed by Lil Wayne at number 2, and Jay Z at number 3. The top 10 artists were all from the rap genre.

According to the study, Chevrolet was the most mentioned brand overall in music since the 60’s. However, Mercedes-Benz has been the favored lyrical choice over the last three decades.

The German luxury vehicle was the top mentioned car for stars such as Drake, Kanye West, Fetty Wap, Future, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, and Beyoncé.

When looking at which artists have the most mentions for each individual car brand, Redman led the Acura tally. Bentley, Chevrolet, Honda, Mercedes-Benz (tie), and Porsche were monopolized by The Game.

Lil Wayne topped the BMW and Bugatti mentions. Big Tymers took first place for Hummer and Lexus. Too $hort ranked highest for Cadillac and Mercedes-Benz (tie). Nas was the frontrunner for Dodge (tie) and Jeep.

The charts were created by AutoNation searching songmeanings.com’s API for song lyrics that included car-related terms such as brand names and models. However, some car makes and models were not included in order to avoid their names being confused for non-vehicle-related mentions.

To see the entire “Car Mentions In Music” study visit autonationdrive.com.

Nicki Minaj Makes 72nd Appearance On Billboard Charts and Is One Hit Away From Tying Aretha Franklin

(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj is now just one hit away from tying Aretha Franklin as the most prolific solo female in America’s pop charts.

The star’s “Bom Bidi Bom” collaboration with Nick Jonas has debuted at 54, giving Nicki her 72nd appearance on the Billboard Hot 100 countdown.

One more hit and she’ll match Aretha’s 73 Hot 100 visits.

In the 58-year history of the U.S. chart only three women have landed 70 or more hit on the chart – Taylor Swift is the third, with 70.

Madonna and Rihanna make up the rest of the top five with 57 hits apiece.

Rihanna made history in the Hot 100 earlier this week by breaking a tie with Michael Jackson with her 30th top 10 hit.

“Love on the Brain” jumped up five spots to number eight, making the Umbrella singer the third most prolific top 10 artist, behind only Madonna and the Beatles.

Phresher Thinks Remy Ma Did Take Shots At Nicki Minaj On His “Wait A Minute Remix” (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Remy Ma repeatedly declared she was not taking subliminal shots at Nicki Minaj on her various verses.

“I’m going to say your government [name]. I’m going to look it up. I’m going to say your mother’s name, your father’s name, your kids’ name. I want you to know that I’m talking about you,” the Bronx spitter told The Breakfast Club last week.

Phresher’s “Wait A Minute Remix” is one of the tracks that had many people thinking Remy’s verse was directed at Nicki.

Hot 97 caught up with Phresher, and the New York rapper discussed the debated Remy bars on his song.

“You damn right. Of course,” he responded when asked if he thought Remy was talking about Nicki. “It’s not a knock on Nicki. Again, that’s between them. She gave me a fire verse.”

Phresher went on to point out certain lines from Remy’s verse he believes shows that shots were fired at the Young Money star.

The Brooklynite also said he would love to see Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj on a record together.

Amber Rose’s Claim To Own Ace of Diamonds Strip Club Gets Her Sued For A Million Bucks

(AllHipHop News) It looks like Amber Rose may have proclaimed her dream to be the next big strip club mogul a bit deal early, and now she’s being sued because of it.

Footage of Amber Rose hit the Internet yesterday (February 23) at the All Def Digital movie awards, declaring that she had just bought Ace of Diamonds, one of the most famous strip clubs in Los Angeles.

The problem is, the real owners of AoD say Amber’s announcement that she bought the strip club is completely false.

The proprietors of AoD the company that owns AoD is named SKW as enterprises.

According to a lawsuit filed by the real owner, SKWS Enterprises, Amber has not put a dime into the ownership of the Ace of Diamonds.

SKWS says Amber’s statements are “unequivocally false” and they’re suing her for slander.

I’m starting my label up, so of course I’m going to keep bringing new things to the table: new artists, new sounds, and new vibes for people to love and live with.”

WELP: Meek Mill Has Yet Another Beef On Deck!

Image result for meek mill nicki minaj gif

(AllHipHop Rumors) What’s a year without a beef and a Meek? Its kind of cute that both Meek and Nicki have beef today. Maybe this will join them again. Both of them have some most street level beef. This ain’t Drake and Lil Kim. This is OSCHINO, Philly OG of State Property! This is crazy that the OG is going hard and talking directly to Meek Mill.

The only thing is he ain’t talking directly to Meek. I hope he hears it. I’m not sure he will. I don’t really understand how cats make it to the time and forget the dudes that helped them when they were low. No shots, but it seems like it.
