Lil B Calls Out All Rappers Doing Interviews With DJ Vlad; Young Thug Co-Signs

(AllHipHop News) Apparently, California’s Lil B is not a fan of DJ Vlad.

The BasedGod called out the media personality on Twitter.

“Any u rappers new and old doing interviews with DJ Vlad y’all looking real burnt y’all f-cking with a rat and snitch y’all marks,” posted Lil B.

The statement was shared over 2,000 times on the social media site, including a retweet from Young Thug.

Thugger and his sexuality have been regular topics of Vlad’s public discussions with his guests.

Lil B seemed to appreciate the co-sign from the “Pick Up The Phone” performer.

“Ay shouts out the legend [Young Thug] and I hope u never change ur name bro u a legend remember that for life,” B added.

Other Hip Hop figures have previously expressed their issues with Vlad as well.

Rick Ross, Dame Dash, and Bank Roll Fresh’s uncle have publicly criticized the man born Vladimir Lyubovny.

Former child actor Orlando Brown also recently blasted Vlad for “exploiting black motherf-ckers.”

DJ Vlad continues to publish exclusive interviews with various entertainers.

His popular YouTube channel has collected over 1,000,000,000 views and 1,400,000 subscribers since 2006.

Both Lil B and Young Thug have appeared on VladTV at some point in their respective careers.

Wiz Khalifa Announces Lil Uzi Vert As The Newest Member Of Taylor Gang

(AllHipHop News) It appears Lil Uzi Vert has ended his breakout year by joining Wiz Khalifa’s Taylor Gang Entertainment.

The announcement reportedly came last night at the “A Very Uzi Christmas” concert in Philadelphia.

Wiz later confirmed the news on Twitter after a user asked the “See You Again” rhymer about the supposed signing.

“Definitely is gangster,” responded Wiz.

In October, Wiz’s Taylor Gang Ent signed a deal with Atlantic Records.

The label/crew also includes Juicy J, Ty Dolla $ign, Chevy Woods, Berner, Tuki Carter, and J.R. Donato.

Uzi is currently working on his next project titled Luv Is Rage 2.

Wiz appeared on “Queso” off the original Luv Is Rage.

The Pennsylvania natives also teamed up for “Pull Up.”

Fat Joe and Remy Ma Reveal Songs On “Plata O Plomo”

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Fat Joe and Remy Ma have unveiled the track listing for their highly anticipated joint album, Plata O Plomo.

The 12-track effort features a number of heavy weights supporting the two Bronx legends, with acts like French Montana, Sevyn Streeter, Ty Dolla $ign, The Dream, Kent Jones and BJ the Chicago Kid checking in with guest appearances.

The album, which is due out February 10, comes on the heels of a great year for the two Terror Squad members, who released hit singles like “All The Way Up”Cookin” and “Money Showers.”

Is LL Cool J Upset About Tupac Being Inducted Into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Before Him?

(AllHipHop Rumors) As you know over the years LL Cool J & Tupac definitely had their issues with each other. The two rappers certainly didn’t see eye-to eye a time or two.

Fans have started a discussion by revisiting their past issues with each other recently as rumor have hit that lately LL Cool J has been in his feelings as Tupac indeed has been selected as a 2017 Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductee, before LL himself.

In the past Pac and LL had didn’t get along because of LL’s “I Shot Ya” record.

Remember even Tupac grew suspicious of LL and Keith Murray once “I Shot Ya” dropped months after Pac was shot at Quad Recording Studios. Murray has previously revealed that Pac even questioned him about the subject matter of the song.

The two allegedly also had beef over both dating Kidada Jones, and Tupac saying he was going to “kill” the east coast.

While LL has remained mum on the subject of the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, Chuck D surely let it be known that he felt that LL should precede PAC as an inductee since LL burst onto the scene in the mid-1980s, with multi-platinum and multi-era success ahead of Pac’s career.

We have no idea if LL is really in his feeling over Pac getting inducted first, but if he is, do you believe he has the right to be?!

Delicious Vinyl Drops New Collection With Rare J. Dilla Productions

(AllHipHop News) Delicious Vinyl is opening their vaults in time for the holiday season, with the release of Jay Deelicious: Originals, Remixes & Rarities.

According Bicycle Music Group, which released the project, the new batch of music documents the late producer’s earliest works for Delicious Vinyl, where JD worked on music for artists like The Pharcyde, The Brand New Heavies and others.

The two-part release is broken up into two tapes: tape one features a bunch of remixes JD did for artists on Delicious Vinyl, while tape two is nothing but instrumentals.

The double disc set includes remixes of remixed classics of songs like The Pharcyde’s “Runnin’,” and “Sometimes,” featuring a Tribe Called Quest frontman Q-Tip.

J. Dilla, born Jerome Yancey, died on February 10, 2006, after a long battle with Lupus.

Love & Hip Hop Star DJ Self Reveals Plans For His New Record Label

(AllHipHop News) DJ Self has become a notable force in Hip-Hop as veteran DJ/radio host currently on Power 105 in New York.

Self’s name and his catchphrase “Gwinin” were showcased internationally when he debuted on “Love & Hip Hop New York.”

Now DJ Self, aka “The Prince of NY,” is aiming keep his talent for finding the next big acts in music in-house, with the launch of Gwinin Entertainment.

“I thought it would be the perfect time to show the world the new things that I’ve been working on and a perfect gift for people around the world” said DJ Self.

DJ Self’s label has already signed rising R&B singer Major Galore and buzzing new rapper LouGotCash.

Both artists are planning a holiday blitz of new music on Christmas Eve (December 24), when both artists will release new mixtapes.

 

Is The Game Also Headed For Retirement?

Ironically his old pal, The Game, is sharing very similar sentiments!

Something was on The Game’s heart at one of his recent shows in Russia as the rapper shared,

“When I get back to LA, I’m going straight to jail because I f-cking had a fight with a police officer and sh-t. So I’m gonna sit down for a minute and write my next album, which is probably gonna be my last album. It’s called ‘Westside Story’, it’s gonna be some ill sh-t.”

Are you looking for new music from The Game? Is it indeed time for him to retire? Vh1 gon’ head and give 50 & The Game a joint “Road To Retirement” reality show. LOL.

Dang it seems like the homie has been catching all kinds of “L’s” especially since his request to get the damages in his sexual assault case were denied. Interestingly enough, some people believe that karma has caught up to Game for his violent “publicity stunts.” What are your thoughts?

Liar, Liar: Adidas Puts Blac Chyna On Blast!

Teacher Combines Hip Hop & History With “Straight Outta Compton”/’Oregon Trail’ Mash-Up (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) “You are now about to witness the strength of trail knowledge,” announces Justin Ashley in his new video titled “Straight Intta Oregon.”

The 8th grade Social Studies teacher is attempting to make history more interesting by combining N.W.A.’s classic song “Straight Outta Compton” with the educational video game The Oregon Trail.

“Straight Outta Compton” helped catapult N.W.A into eventual Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame inductees.

In addition, the California group’s album of the same name will be included in the Grammy Hall Of Fame class of 2017.

MECC’s The Oregon Trail is also a historic creation.

The computer game based on 19th-century pioneer life was inducted into the World Video Game Hall of Fame earlier this year.

Ashley worked with his Community House Middle School students as well as North Carolina rapper Yung Macnificent to create the rap and visuals for “Straight Intta Oregon.”

Five years ago, the educator’s Bill of Rights themed clip “Rights Rights Baby” went viral and has collected over 135,000 views on YouTube.

Yelawolf Undergoes A Name Change and Gives The Slumerican Brand To His Mom

(AllHipHop News) It was just last month that Alabama rapper Yelawolf, claimed he was retiring from the rap music industry.Well, it appears Yelawolf has come out of his self-imposed hiatus with a brand new identity.

Yelawolf is now known as MWA, which are the initials for his government Michael Wayne Atha.

The rapper, who is signed to Eminem’s Shady Records, initially said that he was quitting rap during a “Trial by Fire” tour stop on November 21 in Santa Cruz.

Since his announcement, Yelawolf had been taking a break from social media. But earlier this week, a new track titled “Get Away” featuring MWA with DJ Paul of 36 Mafia hit the net earlier this week.

MWA followed up with an explanation for the reasons he retired, citing depression, alcoholism and the pressures of the music industry – including bad management for some of his recent issues – while commenting on old footage he posted from a psyche ward, where he had been committed.

“They couldn’t handle my vision .. I hoaxed the ‘suicide’ of Yelawolf with my ‘blood art’ along side a manic depressive state of mind from years of alcoholism…after loosing [sic] my BiggieSmallz @shawtyfatt I decided to sober up and rebrand my new music as Michael Wayne Atha MWA (my given name from my beautiful mother Sheila Diane the original gangster .. named after Michael Landon and John Wayne) and shook the f##### game ?.”

According to Yelawolf, he has turned over the keys to his Slumerican brand to his mother, as he gets sober.

“I found it time to rejoin myself on the west coast as the SKATEBOARDER of 28 years, the Visionary, CEO, White Trash High Fashion designer and Creative Director of my Mothers new multi conglomerate company SLUMERICAN … that’s right .. I gave her the keys .. congrats mom !! Your the illest !!!! God is good .. I’m pushing 300 days sober…”

Jennifer Lopez’ Ex-Husband Shocked By Hook-Up Reports With Drake

(AllHipHop News) Jennifer Lopez’s ex-husband, Chris Judd, was shocked to find out that his ex was on the way to hooking up with hip hop superstar, Drake.

Judd, who’d divorced Lopez in 2002, has since remarried and moved on with his life. Judd, who was also J.Lo’s former backup dancer/choreographer, seemed to be unaware that the pair were dating.

While he didn’t totally condemn the relationship between Jennifer Lopez, who’s 47, and Drake, who is 30, he didn’t seem to thrilled about their coupling.

“I don’t know, you kind of surprised me with that one,” Chris Judd said. “Whatever makes her happy, I guess. I’m not even the one to say anything, but as long as she’s happy, I guess it’s cool.”

The pair sparked rumors of a romance after posting cuddly images together on their social media accounts during Jennifer Lopez’ string of concerts in Las Vegas.

Nas Reflects On Missing The Mark With ‘Hip Hop Is Dead’ Album (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) When Nas declared “Hip Hop Is Dead” with his 2006 album, the statement was seen as a shock to the culture by many observers.

A decade later, the Queens spitter linked up with Google Play Music and Mass Appeal to reflect on his eighth studio album.

“I remember when De La Soul Is Dead album came out,” said Nas. “I like that they were able to do something different like that.”

He continued, “I never saw anybody kill off themselves, and I felt it would it would be dope if I could say something like ‘hip hop is dead’ that would make some of the young guys realize not only can you follow what’s happening today, but you can go back into the history.”

Nas now acknowledges he “missed the mark by miles” because he did not intend to “pick people apart.”

The album title was met with significant criticism from Southern rappers that felt it was meant to be a diss toward the region’s success at the time.

“I felt like it was for a younger artist to do,” explained Nas. “I thought the title was enough. To say it’s dead was to say, ‘I don’t know where to begin. I don’t know where to start but at least I’ll name it this and we’ll see what goes from there.”

The Hip Hop Is Dead LP included the title track with will.i.am, “Still Dreaming” with Kanye West and Chrisette Michele, and “Black Republican” with Jay Z.

Jhene Aiko’s Estranged Producer Husband Is Coming For Her Coins!

(AllHipHop Rumors) We wonder what Jhene Aiko’s bank account is looking like, because her estranged husband is coming for that azz.

Jhene Aiko’s “relationship” with producer Dot Da Genius was so short-lived that it was pretty much hard to believe that is was ever real! Home-wreckin’ Big Sean slid right up in there with some new music and some new D!.

Well apparently this relationship and marriage was very real as producer Dot Da Genius, aka Oladipo Omishore wants Aiko to pay him spousal support. He also wants the courts to block her from receiving any alimony from him! Say what now?!

BOSSIP has obtained documents that Dot filed in response to Aiko’s divorce filing. The former couple have both cited irreconcilable difference as the cause of their split.

Dot also wants the judge to explain all decisions as to who gets what in their messy divorce. While this is fair, I don’t think Aiko should have to pay for his lawyer fees like he wants her to! Aiko is certainly trying to deny Dot any spousal support.

Let this be a lesson kids: stop rushing stuff, and be careful who you decide to marry.

Nicki Minaj’s ‘The Pinkprint Tour’ Concert Special To Air On New Year’s Eve (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Nicki Minaj is bringing in the New Year with a concert documentary.

The Pinkprint Tour: Nicki Minaj Live In Brooklyn is scheduled to air on NYE.

Viewers will get to see moments from the July 2015 tour stop at the Barclays Center, including never-before-seen interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.

Nicki’s The Pinkprint album arrived six months earlier in December 2014.

With hit singles such as “Anaconda”, “Only”, “Bed of Lies,” and “The Night Is Still Young,” the Queens rapper’s third studio album has surpassed double-platinum status.

The leader of the Barbz was relatively quiet on the music front this year.

However, Minaj did drop a remix to Young M.A.’s “OOOUUU” titled “The Pinkprint Freestyle,” and she released her own version of Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” called “Black Barbies.”

The Pinkprint Tour: Nicki Minaj Live From Brooklyn is scheduled to air December 31 at 10 pm/9 pm central on BET.

Yo Gotti’s ‘White Friday (CM9)’ Release Concert To Live Stream On Tidal

The “Castro” rapper is inviting some of his fans to experience the show via Tidal.

TIDAL X YO GOTTI will stream live from Center Stage in Atlanta, and the Memphis native will perform tracks off his new project.

White Friday (CM9) is set for release on Friday, December 23 at 9 pm ET.

Here Are The Best Reviewed Hip Hop Albums Of 2016

(AllHipHop Features) Every December, various music outlets publish their individual “Best Albums Of The Year” rap-ups. AllHipHop.com provided a twist on that concept by curating a list of the “Best Reviewed Hip Hop Albums.”

Just like in 2014 and 2015, Metacritic Scores (MS) were used to determine the highest rated Hip Hop releases of 2016. Metacritic.com calculates the scores by giving weighted averages for reviews from leading print and online publications. Albums with an MS between 81-100 are labeled as receiving “universal acclaim.”

Of course, the pundits aren’t always right. Some of the most popular projects of ’16 didn’t make the cut. But this list does present a general consensus of the critics’ thoughts on the major Hip Hop projects around the time they hit the internet.

Uncle Murda & Maino Announce New “Brooklyn Boys” Podcast (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) There is a new Hip Hop talk show coming to the internet.

New York City rappers Uncle Murda and Maino are set to launch the Brooklyn Boys podcast.

Co-host Miss George will join the Yellow Tape (King Kong & Godzilla) collaborators.

“I’m excited about this new show, getting to be unfiltered with my brother Uncle Murda will give the public a peek into our conversations. A lot of people have podcasts but there’s nothing like Brooklyn Boys,” Maino tells AllHipHop.com.

Brooklyn Boys will begin airing on a soon-to-be-announced music network.

More information about the weekly program is expected to be revealed at the top of the year.
