Quavo: Migos Should Be Considered Among The Best Rappers Alive (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Migos are having the biggest moment of their career right now.

The trio’s single “Bad And Boujee” hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and the song spawned the trendy “rain drop, drop top” meme on social media.

Even with those pop culture contributions, group member Quavo suggested Migos are not properly acknowledged for their talent.

“We count each other as rappers to me, so I feel like we should all be up under who’s the best rapper alive, best top ten, and stuff like that. They won’t even count us in that,” Quavo told DJ Scream.

He continued, “So it’s us taking that culture and just giving it to them like, ‘Alright, since y’all don’t want to credit us as the best rappers or the young hottest emcees, let’s just take over the whole culture wave.'”

However, Migos have received praise from fellow Atlanta native Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover.

The award-winning rapper/actor called Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff “The Beatles of this generation.”

Migos will have the chance to help earn more respect as artists when they drop their Culture album on January 27.

LOL! T.I. Goes In On Georgia Tupac Statue!

As a photo of a Tupac Shakur statue in Stone Mountain, Georgia [outside of Atlanta] surfaced, Georgia Tupac fans, and Pac fans beyond cried outrage!

The statue looks nothing like Tupac. In fact it looks like everyone but Tupac.

T.I. was one of the Pac fans who was definitely upset. He claims that Tupac himself would tear the statue down!

“What the f-ck is this. Dis supposed to be Pac. This ain’t no got damn Tupac. Man please. It look like 2Paul, it looks like two n-ggas named Paul mixed together. Man what the hell. Pac died when he was 25, that n-gga look 63 at least. Nah cuz, nah holmes yall aint gonna do my dog like that. Look at his posture, Pac ain’t never walked like this. Man what the f-ck. That ain’t no got d-mn Tupac. That’s some bulls-t. We gotta get it changed. Yall find out what it take to get this statue changed. The face… the wardrobe aint right. Naw we need to change it. I don’t like it at all. I’m willing to make myself available and donate resources to changing it,” said Tip.

His friends and family even chimed in saying that they needed to do a “Change Pac Statue” benefit concert. Hilarious! They did Pac so dirty lol.

Incarcerated New Orleans Rapper B.G. Could Be Home In A Year

(AllHipHop News) If Cash Money Records boss Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Young Money founder Lil Wayne can get their acts together, a full fledged reunion between legendary Hip-Hop group The Hot Boys could be a reality.

In a recent interview with DJ Smallz, New Orleans rapper T.Y. said that B.G. could be out very soon – meaning within a year.

The info is coming from a great source, since T.Y., who is also on the roster of Curren$y’s Jet Life imprint, is B.G.’s biological son.

B.G. was sentenced to 14 years in prison in June of 2012, for weapons possession and witness tampering.

His legal issues stemmed from an incident in which B.G. and two associates were caught in a stolen car, which also had three guns. Two of the weapons were reported stolen, and police also found two extended clips in the video.

Although B.G. technically has nine years left to serve, he could be coming home early.

“He’s coming home. Like within probably this year,” T.Y. confirmed. “If not this year, next year for sure. But we shooting for this year, you feel me? ‘Cause he been telling me all kind of good s##t.”

In August of 2015, the Hot Boys sort of reunited at the rapper’s first annual Lil Weezyana Festival in New Orleans.

Wayne, Turk, Juvenile and Mannie Fresh hit the stage to run through their hits like “I Need a Hot Girl,” “Back That Ass Up,” and B.G.’s “Bling Bling.”

But the reunion wasn’t complete without B.G. According to T.Y., his father is inspired and focused, while waiting for his release.

However, in June of 2016, Hot Boys member Turk told AllHipHop.com that there would be no Hot Boys reunion without B.G.

“Like I’ve always said, there can’t be a Hot Boys reunion without B.G.,” Turk told AllHipHop.com.

Why Was Dave East Kicked Out Of The Mall?

The Harlem rapper had an in store promotion down in Richmond, Virgina today.

He posted and deleted a video of himself being thrown out of the mall by a security guard.

The rap star had some unkind words for being booted from the mall with his friends.

“White People Don’t Do This To White People SmH Dummy #SheVotedForTrump.”

Let’s hope his in store in Virginia went better.

Will Jennifer Lopez Appear On Drake’s ‘More Life’ Album?

Listen while we have love for J-Lo and Drake, I’m not sure anyone really is craving for a collaboration from them.

Sure their “relationship” is a good publicity stunt for some demographic somewhere, but to many this doesn’t scream good music.

I don’t really believe their relationship is real but I do believe that Drake could be hitting that with J-Lo’s cougar ways, and Drake’s community D ways.

Anyway while J-Lo won’t confirm if her and the 6 God are really dating, she has revealed to Entertainment Tonight that they’ve made at least one song together, and that she’s waiting to see if it will make his forthcoming album, ‘More Life’.

“He just asked me to do a song with him and that’s what we’ve been doing. We’ll see if it’s on his next album,” said J-Lo.

Drake looks to definitely be in the picture though as USWeekly claims that Drizzy has even been introduced to Lopez’ kids.

“Drake has been hanging out at Jennifer’s new house in Bel Air. He has been there several times and is getting to know her kids. They all have a lot of fun together. Her kids really like him and they know all of his songs. They like having him around. Drizzy loves seeing Jennifer in mom mode. When he goes to her house, they get away from work and just chill on the couch, make dinner and watch movies.” claims an insider.

I don’t think they’ll talk about their relationship beyond the professional aspect of it anytime soon, but the cuddle pic they posted definitely was to bait us in. Drake has been walking on by when he’s asked about his relationship also. Are you hoping to see J-Lo on Drake’s album?

T.I. Says Oprah Winfrey Should Be The First Female President

(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rapper T.I. has transitioned into one of Hip-Hop’s most political figures over the past two years.

T.I. has put himself at the forefront of a variety of hot button issues, including police brutality, racism and of course politics, while releasing music and open letters to back up his ideology.

T.I. was a guest on the latest episode of N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN’s “Drink Champs” podcast which also included sitdowns with French Montana and A$AP Rocky.

The conversation soon turned to Donald Trump, who is being inaugurated in Washington D.C., today (January 20).

When French Montana chimed in during a conversation on politics and said he felt that discrimination against women in today’s society played a big role in Hillary Clinton’s loss to President-Elect, Donald Trump, T.I. respectfully disagreed.

“I just don’t think she was the right woman. I think Oprah Winfrey should [run]. I think Oprah should be the first female president,” T.I. said.

T.I., seems to have appeared to soften his stance on women running the United States.

In October of 2015, he was forced to apologize about comments he made regarding America, a woman, specifically Hillary Clinton, not being ready for a woman president.

Although T.I. apologized for the comments, it looks like voters ended up agreeing with his initial assessment of the political landscape in America.

T.I. did not speak bad on Hillary Clinton, but he felt Bernie Sanders should have been the Democratic nominee.

“The democracy is supposed to be for the majority to look out for the greater good of all, “T.I. said. “You understand what I’m saying? Right now, what he [Donald Trump] did was he played to the selfishness of the majority. The majority, which is insecurities and the racist tendencies of [middle America.]

“He’s [Donald Trump] a businessman that looks after him,” T.I said. “A businessman looks out for him and his business. A president looks out for the country and all of its people.”

T.I. also dismissed the chance of Jay Z or Kanye West making any real traction in the 2020 presidential elections, he did throw one name out there that he felt could have been the current POTUS.

The reality show star/actor has no immediate plans for office himself, unlike Kanye West, who said he will make a run for the White House in 2020.

Producer Claims He Was Jumped & Robbed By Chief Keef!

(AllHipHop Rumors) I thought Chief Keef was done with all of the beefing!

At one time it seemed like Chief was continuously beefing with others every other day on social media, but earlier this month Keef let it be known that he would no longer be beefing with folks because he was too busy enjoying life on the West Coast.

Just as it seemed that Chief Keef had found direction in his life, a producer has come out saying that Chief and his crew put the paws on him.

Producer Ramsay Tha Great took to Instagram to blast Chief Keef for allegedly jumping him.

A very bruised Ramsay jumped on Instagram wearing a neck brace to tell Keef,

“@chieffkeeffsossa now if I was a celebrity I wouldn’t come personally jump a person with you five friends and a Ak 47 that’s just dumb your famous ……… now I’m taking everything from you . U really just f###-d up dude coming to my house with your phone in your pocket with the location on…….. yea I’m pressing charges on yo a-s. You a f-cking low life mf n-ggas out here tryna do positive sh-t and you still on some goofy Chicago sh-t. We’ll see u in court.”

The producer also claims that Keef stole a Rolex and $1,500 from him.

Chief Keef hasn’t really spoken out publicly against Ramsay’s claims but he did write a comment durring ManeMane4CGG’s Instagram Live video saying,

“I ain’t do nothing.”

Kanye West & Jay Z Reportedly Planning To Work On New Music Together (POLL)

(AllHipHop News) Has The Throne officially reunited? According to reports, Kanye West and Jay Z have begun to settle their differences and are now close to collaborating again.

Many fans were shocked when Kanye ranted about his “big brother” Jay during concert stops last year.

“Jay Z, call me bruh. You still ain’t call me. Jay Z call me, I know you got killers, please don’t send them at my head, talk to me like a man,” said Kanye after his wife Kim Kardashian was robbed in Paris.

There has been talk about the two Hip Hop superstars recently meeting in New York to mend their relationship, and now someone allegedly connected to one of the artists is saying more music from The Throne could be on the way.

“Kanye is over the moon to have his ‘family’ back. He is starting to feel like himself again, knowing he has the support of Jay and Beyonce,” a source told The Sun. “Some new tracks would be fascinating given what Kanye has been through over the past year. But under the watchful eye of his mentor and ‘big bro’ Jay, it would be huge.”

Prior to their dispute, Jay and Kanye worked together on music for over 15 years.

The duo released the 2011 album Watch The Throne which included the Grammy-winning singles “Otis,” “N-ggas In Paris,” and “No Church in the Wild.”

While sources claim Ye and Hov are now on speaking terms, Kanye did declare in October that Watch The Throne 2 would never happen.

The G.O.OD. Music head also hinted that tension between Jay/Tidal and Drake/Apple Music may have contributed to the rift.

If the Chicago rhymer and Brooklyn spitter are reconnecting in the studio, some listeners will be checking to see if a collaborative effort will appear on the rumored Jay Z album in the works.

Snoop Dogg Says He Battled Tupac The First Time They Ever Met

(AllHipHop News) Rap legend Snoop Dogg was close with Tupac, and the pair recorded classic songs together like “All About You,” and “Wanted Dead or Alive.”

In an upcoming episode on Snoop’s GGN Network, he sat down with Demetrius Shipp Jr. and talked about his role as Tupac.

Snoop released a trailer for the interview, where he shared an amazing story about the first time he met Tupac Shakur.

Snoop said he met Tupac at the wrap party for “Poetic Justice” and the two rappers got into a battle at the event and he remembered the encounter well.

“Tupac grabbed the mic, he started rapping. I grabbed the mic, I started rapping. But I’m rapping aggressive, because at this time, I’m one of them, like battle rappers. So I’m aggressive. So he come back, he aggressive. It sound like we kinda like battling each other,” Snoop Dogg recounted.

“It was like we get off to like a wrong start, but you could tell we both dope as a m###########, so it’s like we not really gonna go there. When we finish rapping, we go outside. I’m like, ‘My name’s Snoop.’ He like, ‘My name Pac.’ He break up with a blunt and that n#### roll a blunt with me. That’s my first time ever hitting a blunt.”

Demetrius Shipp Jr., who bears a natural, striking resemblance to the rapper, was chosen to play Tupac in the upcoming “All Eyez on Me” documentary.

The “All Eyez on Me” biopic focuses on Tupac’s life, from his early days in Baltimore to his time in Oakland, all the way up till his death in September of 1996.

Additional cast members in the flick include Danai Gurira, who plays Afeni Shakur, Kat Graham who plays Jada Pinkett, and rapper Jamal “Gravy” Woolard, who stars as Biggie Smalls.
“All Eyez on Me” is coming to theaters on June 16, on what would have been Tupac’s 46th birthday.

21 Savage Accused Of Promoting Rape Culture On Twitter

(AllHipHop News) 21 Savage has some social media users questioning the tone of one of his recent tweets.

“I work so hard I feel like the ladies [supposed] to f-ck me and let me do my thing it’s mandatory you please me for all this hard work baby!” wrote the Atlanta rapper on January 20.

Many of the replies to Savage’s tweet suggested the Savage Mode creator was promoting rape culture.

“Young Savage why you rape culturing so hard?” posted one user, referencing a line from Savage’s “No Heart” single.

Another user added, “This sound a bit r####.”

The online conversation comes days after 21 Savage announced he joined Epic Records.

Epic is also the current label home of Rick Ross.

Four years ago when the Maybach Music Group boss was signed to Def Jam, Ross faced backlash for lyrics that were perceived to be advocating rape.

Rozay lost a Reebok endorsement over the controversial bars from “U.O.E.N.O.,” and the Miami native apologized for his lyrics.

At the moment, Migos’ “Bad And Boujee” is #1 on SC’s Most Played Tracks chart.

The hit record collected nearly 5 million plays this week with a total of 69 million plays overall.
