(AllHipHop News) 2017 may go down as the year Nick Grant elevated himself to the next tier in the Hip Hop hierarchy.
Grant made waves online last year with his 88 mixtape which featured appearances by Killer Mike, Big K.R.I.T., and Young Dro.
The South Carolina-bred, Atlanta-based rhymer started off the new year with his latest project.
Return Of The Cool was released last week, and Grant helped promote the collection by making his network television debut on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.
N.G. performed a medley of “Love” And “Get Up” with southern group Watch The Duck.
With the support of Grand Hustle co-founder Jason Geter and his Culture Republic brand, Grant is a very early contender for “rookie of the year.”
Hip Hop insiders are already lining up behind the rising entertainer.
Ludacris, DJ Khaled, and Charlamagne Tha God each posted the Return Of The Cool artwork to their respective Instagram pages.
Newcomers to the N.G. movement should not be surprised by what appears to be a meteoric rise, because Nick has been planning to add his name to the rap pantheon for years.
Back in 2015, the #ATLRiseUp alumni told AllHipHop.com about his ultimate legacy, “Twenty years in the game, being iconic, and having over five classic albums. I feel like the greatest rappers have at least five classic albums that you can play from top to bottom. It’s just about having a dope career and people respecting you. If you’re not going to be great, why bother?”
(AllHipHop News) It looks like T.I.’s open letters are not enough for the rapper to express his opinion about the state of America and the upcoming swearing-in of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States of America.
Now, people like Kanye West, Steve Harvey, Jim Brown and now Dr. Martin Luther King’s son MLK III, have drawn the wrath of the Atlanta rap star/turned activist for meeting with the future POTUS, who has made racist and offensive comments about almost everyone as he ran to get elected.
“Look, I’m going to tell all you celebrities; black, minority, all of you. Man, athlete’s, man. All of you. Look, let me tell you something. There’s a strategic plan that people are trying to make you a part of, okay? Do not accept any invitation to have any meeting,” T.I. said in a series of posts on Instagram earlier tonight (January 15).
“No matter how positive you think the outcome may be. Without understanding, man. People have a very Willie lynch, agenda, okay? You being there being seen with them, taking pictures and smiling and being positive. It may seem positive to you, but there’s a hidden agenda, man. You might not know it, but now you have been warned. Do not go in there unless you have a strategy or you’re with John Lewis or somebody who can represent us.”
T.I. then put a number of his celebrity friends on blast for taking meetings with Donald Trump and laid out what he believed was an overarching conspiracy by the President-Elect to win over the African-American community.
“What do they do? They get Kanye West to come in. ‘Well, he’s their representative. They listen to his music, they buy his shoes, they go see him in concert. Well, surely we could take a picture with him. He smiles and says he’s cool with it, they’ll fall right in line.’. Okay,” T.I. snapped.
“Also, you’ve got black women, you know, they were against it. ‘Well, who speaks to the black women? Steve Harvey. Let’s get him in here. He’ll take a picture. He’ll smile. He’ll say it’s cool. They’ll fall right in line. Who else? They love football. Let’s get Ray Lewis. Let’s get Jim Brown. They were the heroes. Surely, if they say they’re cool with it.’”
The meeting also came just days after Donald Trump put legendary civil rights activist Rep. John Lewis on blast during a Twitter fit, after Lewis labeled Trump an “illegitimate President.”
“Homeboy [Lewis] was one of the most prolific civil rights activists of our times, you’re going to get Martin Luther King’s son, on Martin Luther King Day, to come in there and meet with you? Man, you all have got to see this, man. Divide and conquer.
T.I. warned Kanye and the others to stay away from Donald Trump, referring to the infamous Willie Lynch letter, which was purportedly written by a former slave owner as a manifesto to control the slaves in early America
“Kanye, what the f### you doing, man? Steve [Harvey], man, you know way better than them, man. You know what I’m saying? Jim Brown? Really? Martin Luther King [III], man, it’s your God damned daddy birthday, bro. You going to go sit down with … Hey, man, divide and conquer, bro. You know what I mean? Willie Lynch. Read up on it. Don’t be a part of it. Be against it.”
(AllHipHop News) Lawyers representing Troy Ave and Taxstone are preparing for a court date tomorrow (January 17th), which could change the directions of both men’s’ lives.
The pair were involved in an altercation backstage at Irving Plaza on May 25th. During the fight, someone pulled a gun and open fired, leaving Troy Ave and three other people wounded.
The rapper’s bodyguard Ronald “Banga” McPhatter was shot and killed in the melee. Shocking footage from videotaped surveillance inside of Irving Plaza captured the shooting on tape, leading many to believe Troy Ave, born Ronald Collins, would be charged with murder.
Troy Ave is being represented by Scott Leemon, who has represented artists like 50 Cent, Tony Yayo, and most recently Freddie Gibbs.
Even though the police have “only” hit Taxstone with weapons possession violations so far, Scott Leemon said the impending charges only add credibility to Troy’s narrative – that he was a victim who defended his life and his friends.
Kenneth Montgomery remained tight light-lipped, until he knows the charges against his client.
“We are looking forward to tomorrow’s arraignment and seeing what the charges are,” Kenneth Montgomery told AllHipHop.com, referencing his client’s arraignment tomorrow.
Just in time for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, up and comer Robby Betts drops off his first single “Bow to the King”
The visual starts off with Robby Betts as a prince waking up on his birthday deciding where to go celebrate. Robby wakes up, spins a globe and decides on Los Angeles.
A Rolls Royce, rose pedal’s, a helicopter ride to Los Angeles, and beautiful woman make Bow To The King and interesting video to watch.
(AllHipHop News) Today (January 15) is Martin Luther King Jr. day and as expected, a number of influential politicians, celebrities and others hit the social media platform to share their thoughts on the late civil rights leader.
People like President Obama, Representative John Lewis, MC Hammer, Ciara, 2 Chainz, Young M.A., Rick Ross, Talib Kweli, and other notables posted tributes to Dr. King, who was born on this day in 1929.
Twitter itself celebrated by launching a #MLK emoji, which can be activated by using hashtags like #MLK, #IHaveADream, #MLKDay, #MartinLutherKingJr, and
#MartinLutherKing
But most interestingly, Twitter gathered 15 celebrities to each Tweet a line from the Martin Luther King Jr.’s famous “I Have A Dream” speech.
Artists like common, Alicia Keys, Shonda Rimes, Lee Daniels, Jennifer Lopez and Sean “Diddy” Combs were among the participants.
See below for the Tweets, which in order, read the
speech:
(AllHipHop Features) The man born Lazaro Camejofirst introduced himself as a rapper under the name Bizzy Crook. Camejo recently decided to drop a few letters from that moniker, and the Miami-raised rhymer now just goes by BZZY.
While the name has changed, BZZY is still offering his fans music filled with personal anecdotes and introspection. His latest project, A Part of Everything, arrived last September with reflective tracks such as “Journey” and “No Conversation.”
R&B veteran Lloyd also joined the 25-year-old emcee for “If You Only Knew.” Produced by Canadian beat maker Zale, the track consists of BZZY’s deliberation on balancing being in a romantic relationship and battling depression.
The Joshua Tree-set video for “If You Only Knew” premiered January 5 on Tidal. BZZY has been tied to the streaming platform for several years as a Tidal Discovery and Tidal Rising artist. He also performed at Jay Z’s 2015 Made In America festival which live streamed via the artist-owned service.
I once again caught up with BZZY for a conversation about his career and more. We discussed his choice to drop “Crook,” mental illness in Hip Hop, the ongoing civil war in Syria, and hitting the road with R&B sensation PartyNextDoor.
I wanted to start with the name change. What made you decide to switch it?
I felt like it was just time. I’ve been “Bizzy Crook” since the mixtape era, so I just wanted to grow and recreate myself. I wanted to try new things. Like with the “If You Only Knew” video, that’s something I probably wouldn’t have tried before. I’m just trying to grow as an artist.
How did you come up with the concept for that video?
My boy Zale produced “If You Only Knew.” We were going back and forth on ideas. He sent me this Jimi Hendrix picture of him in the desert. I thought it was dope, so I sent it over to Hyper House. Together we came up with shooting that. I saw a picture of a rock star in the desert with a bunch of naked girls, I said we gotta recreate this, and they brought the whole thing to life.
The video opens with you wearing a straitjacket and sitting on a throne. What did that image represent for you?
First, I wanted everybody to have their own interpretation. That concept was basically how you can be a king or you can be a prisoner of your own mind.
You’ve always been very open about dealing with depression. You talked about it again on this song and on the project. You also talked about wanting to become a different artist. Why did you want to make sure that [battling depression] is still part of the art you create?
One, depression helped me find myself as an artist. Two, I’m past that. I wake up every day happy. Every day is beautiful, but that doesn’t mean other people aren’t going through depression. So I always want to remind them I went through that as well and there is a way out. That’s something I’ll always keep in my music because it’s one of the most important parts of my story.
I felt it was interesting that you’re talking about these issues you’re dealing with, but you’re rapping over this high-energy beat. Can you talk about the production for the song? Why did you decide to go in that direction?
Zale sent me the beat over. Immediately, I fell in love with it. It was one of those beats that I loved so much that I couldn’t write to it right away. I need to be in the emotion that I’m writing about. So I would listen to the beat every single day for probably like six months. Slowly, it started coming together.
I feel like there are two ways to tell a story or an experience you went through. You can tell it with your head held high and look at the bright side. Or you can tell it bitterly. In the past, a lot of my music about depression was coming from the more upset side.
Now, as I’m growing as a person, I’m starting to find the good in that whole situation. So I’m telling it from a better place. So I chose that production because it was bright, but the story was still dark. It meshed together very well.
Last year, Hip Hop had a lot of conversations about mental illness because of what was happening with artists like Kid Cudi and Kanye West. What were your thoughts about the way the culture reacted to what they were going through?
Depression is something that everybody in the room will go through, but everybody won’t mention it. Whenever these conversations come up and people speak against it – these are just people that aren’t fully open about saying “I’m not invincible.” Then you got people like Cudi who have always been open about it. Once you’re open about it, you understand “ups and downs” are all part of the journey.
Do you feel like that’s a topic that shouldn’t be used as ammo against somebody? There were a lot of conversations about Cudi, Drake, and whether mental illness is beyond the pale of something that should be included in a diss record.
I look at it like it’s Hip Hop at the end of the day. In a back-and-forth situation, it’s hard to say what’s allowed and what’s not allowed. I guess it’s just according to your own morals and values. I don’t think Cudi would ever be offended by that. Cudi has been open about depression since his first album.
“Letters From Syria” – what inspired you to do that song? Why did you decide to present it in a first-person point of view?
The civil war in Syria has been going on for five years. We kind of heard it as background noise in our everyday lives in the U.S., but a lot of us weren’t fully aware of the capacity to what was really happening over there.
One day, I’m in the studio and the news is on the TV. Me and the producer, DJ Quest, were working on something. I said, “Let me look into this Syria thing.” It really caught my attention. I’m someone with a weak stomach but I’m forcing myself to look at these pictures of little kids in the middle of the street. The more I started looking into it, the more I was heartbroken.
As an artist, I may not have a billion fans yet. But I feel like as artists, we’re responsible to speak for those without a voice. I don’t feel like the Syrians were getting attention, especially from the music industry. I saw a picture of a man holding two kids. I said, “Okay, I’m going to write from his perspective.”
It sounds like you draw a lot of inspiration from photos.
[laughs] I draw inspiration from everything. I can walk through a forest and be inspired. Most importantly, it’s from everyday situations.
Are you working on anything right now?
We just put out the video with Tidal, who have been extremely supportive of me over the last few years. I’m working on the rest of the visuals for Part Of Everything. I’m working on a short film.
You talked about Tidal. You’ve been working with them for a while. How has that relationship worked out? Why have you continued to incorporate your brand with their brand?
It’s been love. We’ll call Tidal with an idea, and nine times out of ten, they’ll be with it. I was the first Discovery artist. They just get my vision. When I called them about the “Syria” record, they were excited about being involved in speaking about social justice. Tidal is a super machine, and I’m honored to team up with a team like that.
Going back to the “If You Only Knew” record, how did you link up with Lloyd?
Me and Lloyd linked up about three years ago when I was on tour with Kid Ink. We just immediately vibed. We got in the studio and did a record on my last project No Hard Feelings called “Take Your B-tch.” We had insane chemistry in the studio. We cut like two or three records that haven’t come out yet. When I got this one, I sent him the beat. He sent it back a few days later.
You’ve been on tour with Kid Ink and Wale. Are you planning to hit the road in 2017?
I just did a couple of dates with [PartyNextDoor] and Jeremih.
What was that experience like?
The experience was amazing. I’ve always been a fan of Party. We have stories behind P1. The whole OMO crew were mad cool. You know them boys brought the girls out. We had fun.
That was minor. That was at the end of the show. The rest of the tour was amazing. It was love every night. Ninety-nine percent of the shows were sold out. For the most part, it was love.
So you’ve said you’re re-establishing yourself as a new artist. How would you describe this new artist, BZZY, for someone who may not be familiar with your work?
I want to be somebody, as a rapper, with the effect of a Bob Marley, with the effect of a 2Pac, with the effect of Michael Jackson. Meaning, I’m going to try – with my very best and everything I got – to use my God-given talent to inspire millions of people.
(AllHipHop News) Podcaster Taxstone was arrested on Martin Luther King Day for his alleged involvement in a shooting that left Troy Ave’s bodyguard dead at an Irving Plaza T.I. concert.
Taxstone, real name Daryl Campbell, has been looked upon with significant scrutiny since the shooting incident in May, where rapper Troy Ave was seen shooting a fireare in the club.
Tax was arrested at his aunt’s house in East New York, said a report by the New York Daily News. “He will be arraigned tomorrow,” Ken Montgomery said to the Daily News. “We look forward to reading the complaint from the government.”
Taxstone is one of the most popular podcasters for his brazen, brash and outspoken manner of speaking to his audience. He also has previous conviction on weapons and robbery charges in Brooklyn, reports say.
He served a little more than two years in jail on two separate incidents.
Taxstone has had no comment since this latest development.
(AllHipHop News) Rapper/actress Queen Latifah is working on a reboot of her 1990s series “Living Single.”
The Chicago actress starred alongside Kim Coles and Kim Fields in the TV show about roommates and friends living in Brooklyn, New York.
The show ran from 1993 to 1998, but the 46-year-old reveals she is keen to bring the series back to the small screen.
“We’re actually working on it,” she recently told U.S. late night show Watch What Happens Live! “It’s not there yet, but hopefully we can get it happening.”
Queen Latifah was a producer on the series towards the end of its run and she is planning on producing the reboot if it comes to fruition.
She is also hoping she will be able to reunite the whole cast.
Meanwhile, Jason Sudeikis, who was on the show with Latifah, joked he thought “Friends” was a reboot of “Living Single,” prompting the rapper/actress to reveal the hit sitcom, starring Jennifer Aniston and Courteney Cox, was actually modeled after her series.
“We knew we had already been doing it (with ‘Living Single’),” she explained. “It was one of those things where it was a guy called Warren Littlefield that used to run NBC and they asked him when all the new shows came out, they said, ‘If there’s any show you could have, which one would it be?’ and he said, ‘Living Single.’ Then he created ‘Friends.’
“Well, Friends was so good so it wasn’t like we hated on it or anything like that. But we’re still figuring it out, if you want it, we’ll give it to the people,” Queen Latifah revealed.
(AllHipHop News) Real-life space race drama “Hidden Figures” has landed a second week at the top of the North American box office.
The movie, which stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, and Janelle Monae as the three African-American women who worked behind the scenes to help NASA make John Glenn the first American astronaut to orbit Earth in 1962.
“Hidden Figures” narrowly managed to dethrone “Rogue One: A Star Wars Story” for the box office crown last week and the film has held on to the title after grossing $20.5 million over the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday weekend.
Awards season favorite “La La Land” climbs into second place on the new countdown, raking in $14.5 million, while animated family film “Sing” places third with $13.8 million.
The new top five is rounded out by “Rogue One” at four and supernatural thriller “The Bye Bye Man” at five.
(AllHipHop Rumors) Is Soulja boy gonna hit 50 Cent with the Draco? LOL! There is no love lost with 50 and his former mentee! SB is not happy that his big bro has picked sides with Chris Brown aka Bhris Brown! He has released a new song dissing both Bhris and Fif.
Yeah, its not great music but this is the WWE side. Enjoy!
Thoughts?
Anyway, TMZ talked to SB about the fight with SB and it looks like its still on.
“I’ve been training every day. I’m focused, man. I just hope to give it my best. It’s gonna be one of the biggest fights of the century, you know what I’m saying? [It will be one of the] biggest fights of the year.”
“It’s not about the money at all. It’s about me, my respect as a man. I was disrespected as a man. I was challenged to a fight [and] I accepted the challenge. It’s not about the money. I’ve been making millions of dollars since I was 17 years old. It’s not about the money at all. It’s about my respect. I’ma go into the fight and give it my all and I’ma knock his ass out.”
“I think I’m gonna win. I’m not saying it’s gonna be an easy win but I think that I’m gonna win for sure.”
SB said it is supposed to happen in March in Vegas. WE’LL SEE!
(AllHipHop Rumors) I make no bones about it, I am waiting for a new album by JAY Z! It has been about four years since the god has blessed us with an album. Is he waiting for Nas? I don’t know but I do know this: THE TIME IS RIGHT! All this mumble rap and Pitchfork rappers! Jay has been working, we have been hearing, but nothing has really come out. Just some features.
The word on the street is that Jay’s next opus will be a very person album that will address a number of personal issues that have come to light. I personally hope he talks about Solange in the elevator. He’s a low key G for how he handled that. OR “Lemonade.” How much was real and how much was Beyonce telling her stories?
Well, it looks like Jay and Rick Ross are up to something, either way.
(AllHipHop Rumors) I know y’all tired of it. But these guys are all the rage in the f**kery hashtags. Anyway, Lil Wayne cannot seem to drop anything new, but his children release plenty. And when I say kids, I mean these other rappers that are like Weezy Mutants. Like Thugger is a mutant of Wayne and This Dude Kyng is a mutant of Young Thug. Anyway….damn. Kyng comes to the rescue of Lil Wayne.
Yes, its a very slow weekend.
Anyway, the rumor is that Jay Z will bring Wayne into his Roc Nation. I wonder what new artists they have over there, because I seem to mostly see older acts like The Lox and Yo Gotti.
(AllHipHop News) Police in Paris, France are releasing more information about the night Kim Kardashian was robbed for over $10 million dollars worth of jewels.
The suspects – aged 23 to 73, consisted of 14 men and three women.
Earlier today (January 15), French authorities released a transcript of an interview police took with Kim Kardashian, just after the robbery.
Kim told the cops that she heard a noise around 3 am, and called for her bodyguard who didn’t answer.
“I saw through the sliding door two persons coming, plus the man of the reception who was strapped [tied down]. The two men were hooded, the one had a ski mask and he had a cap and a jacket with Police written on it,” Kim Kardashian told an investigator. “The second individual had the same clothes [as] police but didn’t wear ski goggles. The individual with the ski goggles rips out my Blackberry phone.”
According to Kim, the first thing the robbers asked for was her pricey $4.5 million dollar engagement ring, which was given to her by her husband, superstar rapper Kanye West.
“I was wearing a bathrobe, naked underneath,” Kim revealed. “Then we went in the room again and they pushed me on the bed. And, at this time, they strapped me with plastic cables and tape on my hands, then they taped my mouth and my legs. They carried me in my bathroom, more specifically in my bathtub.
“I forgot to tell you that when they pushed me on the bed, they headed toward my handbag and they cleared everything.”
After the interview was conducted, Kim told the cops that a private plane was waiting for her and she was ready to leave.
In total Kim was robbed of:
-Two Diamond bracelets by Cartier
-A necklace by Jacob all in gold and diamond,
-Three gold necklaces by Jacob
-A diamond earrings by Lauren Schwartz
-A diamond necklace by Lauren Schwartz
-Diamond earrings by Yanina
-Little bracelets, jewels and rings
–A necklace with six little diamonds on it.
-A necklace bearing Kim and Kanye’s son Saint
-A yellow gold Rolex
-Two yellow gold rings
-An iphone
-A Blackberry
Check out Kim Kardashian’s full statement to French police below:
I came in Paris by plane for the fashion week. I came back around 12 midnight to go to bed. I was attending a fashion diner. I came back with Simone Harouche and my sister Kourtney. We all moved up in my room 1A and friends, a couple, went to my room and left around 01.00 A.M.
I have to make it clear that Simone hadn’t come with us and that she was sleeping when I came back.
My assistant Stéphanie and my sister Kourtney changed clothes. Then, I went to my computer upstairs and I worked.
I heard noises at the door, like footsteps, and I asked shouting who was there, no one answered. I called at 02.56 A.M. my bodyguard. I saw through the sliding door two persons coming, plus the man of the reception who was strapped.
The two men were hooded, the one had a ski mask and he had a cap and a jacket with Police written on it.
The second individual had the same clothes Police but didn’t wear ski goggles. The individual with the ski goggles rips out my Blackberry phone
The one with the ski goggles was 1,70 meters high, slim, black pants, black boots, he spoke to me in French. He was a European-type individual.
The second individual was also European, he was taller and stayed with the security agent. He was around 1,80 meters high and he was dressed in the same way.
It’s the one with the ski goggles who stayed with me. He asked me with a strong French accent where was my ring. It was placed on the bedside table. It costs 4 million dollars.
I answer him that I don’t know, he takes out a weapon and I show him the ring. He pointed the weapon toward me. He takes the ring, he wears gloves. He asked me where the jewels and the money are. They catched me and took me in the lobby.
I was wearing a bathrobe, naked underneath. Then we went in the room again and they pushed me on the bed. And, at this time, they strapped me with plastic cables and tape on my hands, then they taped my mouth and my legs. They carried me in my bathroom, more specifically in my bathtub.
I forgot to tell you that when they pushed me on the bed, they headed toward my handbag and they cleared everything.
I don’t know if they took something inside. My Vuitton jewelry box was near my bag and at that time, he said something to the other individual, shouting.
In my jewelry box, there were two bracelets by Cartier, all with diamonds, a necklace by Jacob all in gold and diamond, diamond earrings by Lauren Schwartz, and the other was by Yanina. There were three necklaces by Jacob all in gold, little bracelets, jewels, rings. A necklace by Lauren Schwartz all in diamonds, another necklace with six little diamonds on it. A last necklace with my son’s name (Saint) all in diamond. I also had just a cross-shaped diamond, by Jacob. A watch by Rolex all in yellow gold. There were two rings in yellow gold.
I think they robbed me for 5 million dollars. They didn’t rob my cash. They robbed me an iPhone 6, which call number is XXXXX and the Blackberry call number. Then they left, running.
During the heist, they had the hotel’s mobile phone which didn’t stop ringing and they were speaking in French. I thought they said they got to leave.
Then, I removed the tape from my hands and my mouth, I removed the plastic.
I realized they were a bit young because of the way they strapped me. I removed the tape on my legs. I kept a tape around my leg and run to Simone’s room.
Then I called my sister Kourtney with Simone’s phone. Simone called her bodyguard because she was hearing some noise.
Question : Would you be able to recognize them?
Answer : Maybe the smaller one with ski goggles but not sure.
Question : Are-you injured?
Answer : No.
Question : Would you like to file a complaint?
Answer : Yes, I would like to file a complaint.
Question : Do you have something else to add?
Answer : I would like to leave and to go back to my children in the United States. A private plane is waiting for me at the Bourget.
After reading done by M. XXXX, Madam Kardashian Kim persists and signs with us the present. It is half past five in the morning.
(AllHipHop Rumors) This is a real battle of who is the hardest. Wack 100 and Tax. I don’t know exactly how this got started, but it almost seems like it could end in drama. The only thing is they are thousands of miles between them. Nevertheless, Wack is saying that Taxstone now must watch his back for-EVER. That’s a very long time. Tax doesn’t seem concerned at all. See below.
Iovine was there promoting the upcoming Allen Hughes documentary “The Defiant Ones,” which centers around his longtime relationship with Dr. Dre and their successful businesses over the years, including Death Row Records, Aftermath Records and Beats by Dre, which eventually sold for $3 billion to Apple.
Iovine said the new series Dr. Dre is working on with Apple will be scripted, and will be based on Dr. Dre’s life and career, which also includes discovering artists like N.W.A, Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar and others.
“Vital Signs” will be a racy, dark drama with the first season featuring six original episodes, directed by Paul Hunter.
According to Jimmy Iovine, the push into scripted original content for Apple is meant to make the company better suited to take on brands like Amazon, Hulu, Netflix, Spotify and Pandora.
“We’re fighting free,” Iovine during his talk, reports Variety. “With Netflix there is no free. Apple Music is trying to create an entire pop culture experience that’s going to include audio and video. If ‘South Park’ walks into my office, I’m not going to say, ‘You’re not musicians.’ We’re going to do whatever hits pop culture smack on the nose.”
“The Defiant Ones” is slated to be released on HBO this spring, while there is no release date attached to “Vital Signs.”
(AllHipHop Rumors) You have to love Bad gal RiRi and her sense of humor!
AubRih fans seem to believe that Rihanna was throwing a bit of shade at her ex Drake with some of her recent comments on Instagram.
It’s no secret that Drake and Ri have called off their publicity stunt of a relationship as Drake has been heating up with his new publicity stunt of a relationship with fellow singer Jennifer Lopez.
You know your ex has p##### you off when you can’t help but to throw a few subliminal jabs at them on social media.
Rihanna’s best friend Melissa Forde set up the perfect opportunity for Rihanna to shade the 6 God as she posted a meme about male groupies. The meme read,
“Your #MCM be knocking over girls in the VIP to stand next to rappers.”
Rihanna wasted no time commenting,
“And athletes.” LMAO.
You know Drake has been accused of being a male sports groupie on multiple occasions. His bromance with his temporary roommate Odell Beckham Jr. was interesting to say the least.
(AllHipHop News) Blac Chyna is being hauled back into court and facing legal action from two men who claim they have been jerked out of their earnings for making her a star.
According to legal documents just filed, a company called Infinite Grind Multimedia claims they signed Blac Chyna to a 10-year contract in 2007.
The owners of the company, Jason Alston and Lincoln Hayes, claim they put in major work for Blac Chyna, landing her on the covers of magazines like Straight Stuntin and Black Men.
The pair believe Chyna, who has a baby with Rob Kardashian, has been cashing in on their work ever since she has become famously associated with the world famous clan.
The news of the legal action comes just days after Blac Chyna cut a deal with prosecutors, which led to her ecstasy possession charges in Texas being dismissed.
