Drake Is So In Love With Jennifer Lopez, He Bought Her A $100,000 Necklace

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Drake made sure Jennifer Lopez sparkled as she rang in 2017 by gifting her with a $100,000 diamond necklace.

The “Hotline Bling” hitmaker is rumored to be romancing the Latina superstar and he reportedly surprised JLo with the special Tiffany & Co. gift as they prepared to celebrate the New Year together.

According to People.com, Drake presented her with a Tiffany Victoria necklace, which features over 15 carats-worth of round, pear and marquise-shaped diamonds set in platinum.

Jennifer, 47, appeared to show off the new jewelry in an Instagram photo from her New Year’s Eve (December 31) celebrations, when she teamed the diamonds with a sexy red dress and a fur cover-up.

She also rocked diamond earrings, a diamond bracelet, and a large diamond ring on her right hand.

The “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” beauty attended Drake’s New Year’s Eve concert at Hakkasan Las Vegas, after pulling out of her own end-of-year gig in Miami, Florida.

The stars have been romantically linked since early December, when Drake, 30, attended two of Lopez’s residency gigs in Sin City back-to-back and hosted an intimate party she attended.

They continued to fuel the relationship speculation by sharing a cozy photo of the pair embracing on social media, before appearing at a fake winter wonderland-themed “prom,” during which they were crowned the king and queen of the event.

Sources claimed the musicians also shared a kiss while waiting to be crowned onstage.

However, insiders have played down the seriousness of the budding relationship, Jennifer’s first since splitting from her on/off boyfriend Casper Smart last summer.

“Jennifer and Drake seem really happy,” a source recently told People. “Friends have no idea where the relationship is going…

“Jen is looking forward with excitement to the new year. She keeps hanging out with Drake, and he has visited her house. She has nothing but nice things to say about Drake.”

B.o.B Announces Joining The Cast Of Activism-Themed Series ‘The Siege of Detroit’ (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) House Party and Boomerang producer Warrington Hudlin is working on a new streaming television drama titled The Siege Of Detroit.

Atlanta-bred artist B.o.B revealed his participation with the production.

“It’s an honor to announce that I’ll be joining the cast of Siege Of Detroit,” said Bobby Ray in an Instagram video. “It’s also an honor to be working with veteran filmmaker Warrington Hudlin and also working alongside martial arts extraordinaire Marrese Crump.”

Hudlin launched an Indiegogo crowdsourcing campaign to raise funds for the project.

The Indiegogo description for The Siege Of Detroit reads in part:

The narrative ambition of this groundbreaking TV series is to reveal the political and personal high drama on the front line of resistance.  Written to resonate with both baby boomers and millennials, we anticipate viewers becoming emotionally engaged with and inspired by the characters and their heroic resistance.

The need for this type of storytelling has become more urgent as American enters the era of the Donald Trump presidency.  Like the characters in our story, we are standing up to defend human rights and to fight the power of anyone and everyone who attempts to take it away.

The production team is attempting to raise $500,000 to shoot episode one.

Eventually, $3 million will be needed for the first three episodes of the pilot season.

As of press time, The Siege of Detroit has collected around $800 in donations through Indiegogo.

Chance The Rapper On His Similarities & Disagreements With Kanye West

However, the bars were not from Chance’s Grammy-nominated Coloring Book.

That verse was part of the Kanye West song “Ultralight Beam” off The Life Of Pablo.

Chance is also clearly a huge fan of the G.O.O.D Music founder.

The “No Problem” rhymer has praised Ye as the greatest artist of this generation and talked about making a joint project with him.

In a cover story for GQ, Chance further discussed his appreciation for Mr. West as well as his disagreements with his musical idol.

“I don’t think I ever wanted to be like Kanye in personality, though. I think I definitely want to, have always wanted to, have his boldness or assurance in myself,” said Chance. “But I’ve definitely seen Kanye do things where I was like, ‘I’d never do that.'”

He added, “Being around Kanye, Kanye says crazier sh-t in private than he does in public, which is hard to believe because he says the craziest things in public. He does have a filter. Soulja Boy’s Hollywood Hills House Burglarized

Police sources told TMZ that Soulja’s Hollywood Hills home was broken into on Tuesday morning.

The burglars reportedly walked away with $10,000 in cash and $12,000 in jewelry.

Apparently, the former Love & Hip Hop Hollywood star was not at the residence during the break in.

The alleged criminal’s face is said to have been captured by video surveillance.

50 Cent recently claimed Soulja was robbed in Los Angeles, but the “Crank That” performer downplayed that accusation.

Petty! Look At What Future’s Fans Are Petitioning For Him To Do

If you thought the rivalry between the Seattle Seahawks and the Atlanta Falcons was good, check out the rivalry between Future and Russell Wilson’s fans….. that’s still going on!

Dan Quinn, the head coach for the Falcons, has confirmed that there will be no shady performances during this weekend’s game.

50 Cent Has Real Street Goons Ready To Fight Kodak Black Over Lil Wayne

50 has stirred up some drama with some “real shooters”. 50 Cent posted a video of a guy challenging Kodak Black as he claims to be holding it down for Lil Wayne as a real street n-gga. 50 Cent posted an Instagram post that read,

50 Cent is loving every moment of this.

OVO’s Nineteen85 Explains Why Drake’s Calling ‘More Life’ A Playlist

(AllHipHop News) One half of the OVO Sound-signed group known as dvsn is giving some details about Drake’s forthcoming project More Life.

Anthony “Nineteen85” Jeffries spoke with Billboard, and the Grammy-nominated producer explained why Drizzy is using the term “playlist” to describe his next body of work.

“More Life is interesting because this is [Drake] right on the peak of his biggest project yet [with Views], doing his biggest tour and still having so many good ideas that he just wants to put out without making it a big ordeal,” said Nineteen85. “That’s why he’s trying to call it a playlist because he has a bunch of people in a space, hanging out…. He’s so aware of what everybody else is doing musically that he likes to introduce new music and new artists to the rest of the world.”

Nineteen85 worked with Drake on several of the superstar’s most notable hit records.

“Hold On, We’re Going Home,” “One Dance,” “For Free,” and “Hotline Bling” were produced by the 31-year-old Canadian.

There was some controversy surrounding the creation of that last Nineteen85-assisted song listed.

In 2015, D.R.A.M. publicly expressed that he believed his “Cha Cha” was “jacked” for “Hotline Bling” which was originally labeled “Cha Cha Remix.”

Drake acknowledged he approached the connection between “Cha Cha” and “Hotline Bling” like Jamaican artists performing over the same riddim.

Nineteen85 claimed his involvement with “Hotline Bling” was inspired by hearing Timmy Thomas’ 1972 song “Why Can’t We Live Together.”

“I was in my car, listening to a satellite station that plays a lot of smooth-rock deep cuts, and the original song [“Why Can’t We Live Together”] came on,” stated Nineteen85. “By the time I got home, I had basically made the beat in my head.”

Women Are Claiming That Rick Ross Is Out Here Making Chicks Get Abortions!

Well a few women are now claiming that Rick Ross allegedly made them or their friends have abortions either voluntarily or involuntarily.

The women have reached out to blogger Fameolous accusing Rick Ross of selling fake dreams and being horrible with communication.

One woman and a friend of another claimed that when the women involved with Rozay told him they were pregnant he ignored them and never or hardly responded to them the entire time.

One woman claims that she also heard that his ex-fiance Lira Galore also had an abortion after getting pregnant by Ross.

“I recently decided to cut things off with him because he’s a manipulator, sells dreams, lies constantly and f-cks anything walking. It’s not worth catching an STD over or being constantly humiliated by his antics that are always in the media. I pray that one day he gets it together and stop mistreating women,” said one of the women.

Another women claims that her friend also became pregnant by Rick Ross, and after she allegedly informed him, he ignored her for a while. According to the source, Ross eventually hit the woman up after she tried for so long to get in contact with her, allegedly saying that the pregnancy wouldn’t be a good look for him, and he allegedly took the woman to get an abortion.

I think what’s more alarming is all of the unprotected sex going on. I know these artists have access to so many women, but y’all have to wrap it up before you catch something you can’t shake off!!!

Wack 100 Says 50 Cent and Floyd Mayweather Have Nothing To Do With Chris Brown/Soulja Boy Boxing Match

(AllHipHop News) The big fight between Soulja Boy and Chris Brown has not even taken place yet, but the promoters are already squabbling over the event.

Earlier today, Floyd Mayweather was on ESPN’s “First Take” today (January 11) and shot down reports that the flight was scheduled to take place in Dubai.

According to Floyd, the fight will only go down in Las Vegas or Los Angeles, where he holds licences to promote large scale boxing matches.

Now, Soulja Boy’s manager Wack 100 has replied to Floyd’s comments earlier today on “First Take” and is denying fluid has any say over where the event will take place.

Wack, who also manages Game and Ray J., said the fight will indeed take place in Dubai, this March.

“50 Cent is not needed for the fight, Floyd’s not needed for the fight, but you know if the politics is right we could talk business,” Wack 100 said. “At the end of the day, Floyd and 50 ain’t never going to control nothing that’s a West Coast situation with no disrespect. It will be hard for me to control something that’s New York-based and 50’s involved so at the end of the day, the Dubai situation that’s something I’ve been putting together.”

According to Wack 100, Mike Tyson is the only boxer who is officially signed on, while Floyd Mayweather and 50 Cent are just talking.

Roc Nation and Tidal Bosses Challenge Prince Copyright Lawsuit

(AllHipHop News) Officials behind Jay Z’s Roc Nation label and Tidal music service are fighting back against allegations they infringed on Prince’s copyright by streaming the icon’s back catalog following his death.

The “Purple Rain” superstar died in April, and to honor his legacy on what would have been his 58th birthday in June, all of his old albums were made available for Tidal users to stream.

However, bosses at Prince’s NPG Records label and NPG Music Publishing objected to the move, insisting the tragic hitmaker had only allowed Tidal chiefs to share his final album, Hit n Run Phase One, for 90 days upon its release in 2015.

Together with estate administrators at Bremer Trust, they filed a federal suit in November, accusing Tidal and Roc Nation bosses of “exploiting many copyrighted Prince works in addition to the works that comprise the Hit n Run Phase One album.”

They also revealed that they had recruited Universal Music Group experts to help negotiate streaming rights with other services in time for the 2017 Grammy Awards, when Recording Academy chiefs are preparing to celebrate the singer’s musical contributions.

Executives behind Roc Nation and Tidal have now challenged the claims in their own court filings, insisting the plaintiffs do not have the authority to shop Prince’s work to their competitors and are thereby committing copyright misuse in their actions.

Meanwhile, bosses at Bremer Trust have secured a new deal regarding branding rights, which they have granted to Bravado, the merchandise and brand management firm owned by Universal Music Group.

The contract tasks Bravado officials with managing retail and licensing projects and “strategically curating global programs that embrace and honor Prince’s legacy, embody his invaluable influence on art and culture and provide exciting new connections for his millions and millions of fans.”

Floyd Mayweather Doesn’t Sound Too Sure About The Soulja Boy & Chris Brown Fight

Mayweather also revealed that the fight wouldn’t take place in Abu Dhabi, as he would only have it in Los Angeles or Las Vegas.

Maybe it’s just me, but he seemed a little bit nonchalant and apathetic when speaking about the fight. Maybe because it’s been stressful putting it together.

Tech N9ne is heading out on the road for his Strictly Strange Tour 2017 featuring Krizz Kaliko, Stevie Stone, Ces Cru and former Strange Music artist, Brotha Lynch Hung. The news comes on the heels of Tech N9ne’s latest album The Storm, which hit stores in December 9 and debuted as the No. 3 Independent Album in the country. Krizz Kaliko released his Go album in April. Strange Music artists Stevie Stone will release his new album on April 28, while rap duo Ces Cru will release the album Catastrophic Event Specialists album on February 10. Tour dates are slated to be released later this month.

Rapper Nas has reportedly paid off $3.5 million in back taxes to settle a debt. The “One Mic” star was reportedly accused of not paying taxes for income he earned in 2006 to 2010, totalling $3.5 million. Last year, tax liens stemming from 2007, 2008, and 2010 were filed against the 43-year-old, but in December of 2016, he settled the debt. He has yet to comment on the reports. Nas was reportedly hit with his first tax lien in 2009 and by the following year (2010) his total tax debt stood at $6.46 million.

Common is linking up with Planned Parenthood to headline an event titled “Show Up” supporting reproductive health care and abortion rights. Common, The National and others will hit the stage for the event, which will gather together activists, advocates, elected leaders and celebrities in a call for people to support reproductive freedom. “On the eve of the Presidential Inauguration, we plan to send a clear message to the incoming administration that millions of people across this country are prepared to fight attacks on reproductive health care and abortion services,” said Cecile Richards, President of Planned Parenthood Federation of America. The concert will take place January 19 in Washington D.C.

The “Ghost” star raged at the rapper on her TV talk show on Tuesday, insisting no one in America should be proud of failing to show up at polling stations.

Kanye broadcast the fact he didn’t cast a ballot during a concert rant in November, revealing he would have voted for controversial Republican Donald Trump had he made the effort.

He was forced to explain himself when fans turned on him for supporting Trump, who won the election earlier that month.

Days later the rapper canceled the remaining dates on his “Life of Pablo Tour” and checked into hospital following an alleged mental breakdown.

But Whoopi isn’t buying Kanye’s excuses for not voting and had him in her sights on “The View” on Tuesday.

Big Sean Tapped For First Performance On ‘SNL’

The G.O.O.D. Music representative has been tapped to be the musical guest on an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live.

This will be the first time Sean performs on the late-night sketch comedy show.

Snoop Dogg: I Will Roast Any “Uncle Tom” That Performs At Trump’s Inauguration

Kanye West is the most high-profile rap star to announce his support for the controversial businessman-turned-politician.

The “New Slaves” rapper was also clowned online for meeting with Trump.

At the moment, West is not scheduled to perform at the Inauguration in Washington, DC on January 20.
