(AllHipHop News) Two of Marion “Suge” Knight’s lawyers have been arrested in Los Angeles in connection with the former mogul’s upcoming murder trial.

The lawyers, Matthew Fletcher and Thaddeus Culpepper, were detained yesterday (January 25) by Los Angeles cops.

Police accused Matthew Fletcher of being in a conspiracy with Suge to obtain fabricated statements for his upcoming murder trial.

Suge is accused of using his Ford F-150 Raptor truck to injure Cle “Bone” Sloan and to kill Terry Carter after a confrontation that happened at a burger joint in Los Angeles during a taping for a commercial for the movie “Straight Outta Compton’ in January of 2015.

Investigators say they have transcripts of Suge and Fletcher working together to pay as much as $25,000 to bikers for phony testimony, to affirm the victims were armed in the deadly encounter with Suge.

“If we can get the two or three versions from the bikers on tape and we can get, we’re done,” Matthew Fletcher said. “It’s going home time. Right? That’s a fair … investment, you know, 20, 25 thousand dollars.”

Suge’s other lawyer, Thaddeus Culpepper was also arrested last night (January 25).

Authorities insist Thaddeus Culpepper tried to work with a source who turned out to be a sheriff’s department informant.

Culpepper reportedly also offered to pay for eyewitness testimony, which would reflect positively on Suge.

Matthew Fletcher is currently locked up on $1,000,000 bail while information about Thaddeus Culpepper’s bail condition is not known.

Over the past several months, several of Suge’s associates have been arrested, jailed or subpoenaed for tampering with the case.

In October of 2017, Suge’s ex-girlfriend Toi-Lin Kelly pleaded no contest to conspiracy to violate a court order and was sentenced to 100 hours of community service, for leaking a video to TMZ.com for $55,000, allegedly, with Fletcher’s help.

Earlier this week, two producers associated with the docu-series “Death Row Chronicles” were issued subpoenas by a grand jury, for interviewing Suge while he is in jail.

A judge has barred Suge from having any contact with anyone except a single attorney.

The former Death Row Records CEO has constantly complained about his jail conditions since he was locked up in January of 2015.

Suge Knight’s trial for murder is supposed to start on February 22.

(AllHipHop News) The woman who has accused Russsell Simmons of raping her in 2016 is flying to New York next week to file criminal charges against the hip-hop magnate.

Jennifer Jarosik filed a $5 million lawsuit against Simmons, claiming he raped her at his Los Angeles mansion during a meeting back in 2016.

Now, Jarosik alleges Russell Simmons raped twice, once in 2011, and again during the 2016 meeting at his house in LA.

Although criminal charges could be looming, Russell Simmons has denied claims he raped the filmmaker at his home in Los Angeles after she launched a civil lawsuit against the rap mogul.

“I am confident that when all is said and all is done, it will be as clear to others as it is to me that I did not do what this lawsuit accuses me of doing,” the 60-year-old said in a statement, while welcoming a civil trial which said would clear his name.

Nine women have accused the Def Jam co-founder of sexual misconduct dating back to 1983, sparking a New York police investigation.

Jennifer Jarosik’s lawyer blasted Simmons’ latest statement and welcomed the hip-hop mogul’s willingness to testify in court.

“If Russell really wants to go to trial on his case, he will face all of his accusers as prior acts of sexual assault and victims are relevant evidence in this case,” Jarosik’s lawyer Perry Wander said in a statement. “This will be similar to the Dr. Nassar case where victims will get their day in court to describe the interactions with him.”

Russell Simmons maintains his innocence and has publicly stated that he is being extorted.

Nip was celebrating the release of his new album at his Marathon Store when two men became entangled in some sort of conflict.

It quickly turned physical, and even though Nipsey did his best to avert the fight, the two men continued to brawl with each other.

(AllHipHop News) Nelly’s longtime girlfriend Shantel Jackson has finally broken her silence over a series of rape allegations leveled at the rapper.

Three women maintain Nelly has developed a systemized way of sexually assaulting female fans.

In October of 2017, a woman named Monique Greene went to police with claims the rapper had raped her on his tour bus, after a concert in Washington.

Although Nelly was never charged with a crime, Monique Greene filed a civil suit against the rapper earlier this week.

In Greene’s most complaint, two other unnamed women came forward to make shocking claims against the Saint Louis rap star, who is accused of masturbating in front of the women and attempting to force one to have oral sex against her will.

Shantel, aka “Miss Jackson,” has been quiet since the news broke in October.

But, she recently took to her Instagram account to offer up her support for Nelly, while downplaying the accusations against the rapper.

“Look… I know he f##ked up and we’re dealing with that in our relationship to rebuild it and find trust. Having to go through all of this publicly is the worst feeling ever. But this should not open the door for false claims,” Shantel Jackson said.

According to Shantel, she was present at the U.K. shows in question, which she claims is proof that the women are lying.

“Those dates these Jane Doe’s are claiming, I was at those venues, in the dressing rooms, and on that tour bus,” Shantel wrote in a statement.

“There are women dealing with real issues of sexual assault and for the first time people are listening and there is a chance for real change,” she continued. “But all of this work is discredited and makes things harder for the survivors when people lie.”

Shantel may have some legal problems of her own brewing too, over claims she stole cash and ran up the credit cards of her ex-boyfriend, Floyd Mayweather.

Shantel just filed documents in court answering Floyd’s lawsuit against, claiming the boxer approved of her spending sprees until they broke up.

(AllHipHop News) Three more stars are giving back to the community as part of Colin Kaepernick’s #10For10 initiative. The athlete-turned-activist announced new charitable aid from Jhené Aiko, Chris Brown, and Nick Cannon.

Aiko contributed $10,000 to School On Wheels in Los Angeles which provides academic resources and tutoring for homeless youth. CB also offered $10,000 to the organization, and Kaepernick matched their individual amounts for a total of $30,000.

Additionally, Nick Cannon offered $20,000 for New York City’s Communities United for Police Reform. With Kaepernick’s $10,000 donation, the campaign dedicated to ending discriminatory policing practices will receive $30,000.

#10for10 is part of the Colin Kaepernick Foundation‘s $1 million pledge. The former NFL player has given away $980,000 since 2016.

(AllHipHop News) Just hours after news broke that Russell Simmons is facing a $5 million lawsuit from a woman accusing him of rape, video of the entertainment mogul’s ex-wife Kimora Lee Simmons speaking on the alleged sexual misconduct surfaced online. A clip of the former model answering questions about the allegations was uploaded by The Shade Room.

“I love him. We’re friends,” said Lee Simmons. When the photographer asked her if she believes Russell is innocent, she replied, “Yeah, I do.”

The Baby Phat designer later posted a message on Instagram clarifying her position on the sexual misconduct accusations leveled against Simmons. Lee Simmons wrote, “These allegations against him are nothing like the person I have known in all that time.”

She added, “I believe that no one should ever be shamed or portrayed as an unreliable witness to their own experience for speaking up. Nor should anyone be condemned legally without due process and a fair trial.”

Russell Simmons reportedly began dating Kimora Lee Simmons when she was 17 and he was 35. They later married and had two daughters – Ming Lee Simmons and Aoki Lee Simmons.

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Method Man has been cast to star alongside Jennifer Garner in action film “Peppermint.”

The Wu-Tang Clan member will play a detective in the film, about a woman out to seek revenge for the drive-by shooting deaths of her husband and daughter after waking from a coma.

Pierre Morel will direct the movie, which is currently in production. It is slated to hit theaters later this year.

In addition to “Peppermint,” Method Man, real name Clifford Smith, will also appear in the Shaft reboot and his bandmate RZA’s Hurricane Katrina crime drama “Cut Throat City.”
