https://youtu.be/M-avgj09Mdk

SickWid It Records rapper King Hot returns with a clean new visual for fans of the rising Bay Area rapper.  In the Alger Johnson directed video King Hot posts up in the trap and raps about the moves he’s making daily on the grind. With the help of some of his Mexican friends King Hot packs up a piñata with the candy and prepares to make moves.

“My pockets got pregnant and I’m keeping it / I went raw in the trap, ”  King Hot raps. “My pockets on fat like 9 months, selling quarters and them ounces, it add up.”

Growing up as the biological cousin of E-40, King Hot bares a scary resemblance to his well-know cousin and Bay Area legend.

“When I do albums I try to make everything a single but I got a song called Smoke with SOB x RBE on it – I used the old Dopeman beat and people have been loving that song – it’s really starting to pick up with the DJs. I also got a joint with Sada Baby out of Detroit and he’ really goin up. Everything he does usually gets like a million views, so I got him on a new project and I still got my Cali n##### on there like AD and our song Poppin. “

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ec7tW0NVupM

Rare Sound artist True Story Gee returns this week with a storyline visual for his fan-approved street single “Diamonds” featuring his longtime friend and collaborator K Camp. The captivating video was directed by Kingz Visuals and finds Gee and K Camp working at a car repair shop when an opportunity to make some quick cash arises. Two men drop off a nice Lambo to get worked on, but when Camp and Gee notice a big stash of diamonds in the trunk, they take off in a dash.

Two weeks ago (December 1), Gee released his debut project Shannon’s Boy, which included features from K Camp, Eearz, Sy Ari Da Kid and more, with production assistance from OG Parker, Bobby Kritical, Musik Majors, Cash Clay and more. The 12-track project serves as Gee’s first official introduction to the industry and it’s safe to say he led off with a bang.

MSC Jay – “Mah Dawg”

https://youtu.be/g2zivuTDQDM

South Carolina’s MSC Jay is changing the game in his home state as the young athlete turned rapper reps the small island town of St. Helena Island. The island is the cultural hub of the Gullah/Geechie people, a distinctive culture that began to emerge after enslaved West Africans who were forcibly brought to the region.

MSC Jay’s sound is unique blending his country roots with the local Geechie culture, creating a whole new new sub-genre of rap that he calls “country geechie culture.” “Mah Dawg” is first single and tells a story of life on St. Helena Island’s back roads.  His debut project, Geechie Gospel, drops January 5th and features the Dirt Road Diaries accompanying documentary

Lil Yachty Delays Sophomore Release

(AllHipHop News) Hip-hop newcomer Lil Yachty has apologized to fans after postponing the release of his sophomore album.

The “Peek a Boo” star had initially aimed to release two projects in one year, with the follow-up to May’s Teenage Emotions set for a December launch.

However, the rapper his since confessed Lil Boat 2 won’t be ready for a few more weeks.

“I’m not gon’ lie to you guys, I know I told you guys December. I’m not gon’ lie man, I’ma tell you guys the truth,” he shared during a recent live-streaming session on video platform Twitch, during which he addressed fans while playing “Call of Duty WWII.” “At the rate it’s looking, it’s looking like January, you know, for Lil Boat 2. I’m sorry.”

He later explained the delay was down to quality control issues in a bid to avoid the mixed reviews he received for Teenage Emotions.

“I don’t wanna put out Lil Boat 2 out and it’s not good, you know?” Yachty said. “When I put it out, I want it to be f##king good. I want it to be fire. That’s the only thing with Lil Boat 2, like… I’m scared to put it out and you guys not like it.”

OJ Da Juiceman – “Pyrex” Ft. Decatur Redd

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp2j2ZooGf0

When the history of ATL’s trap era is written, there needs to be a whole chapter about Otis Williams Jr. aka OJ Da Juiceman. Born and raised in East Atlanta, he made a name for himself putting in work at the Texaco and shook up the local music scene in 2004 with his song “Black Tee.” His street exploits are the stuff of legend, such as surviving a shooting in 2009 and coming back to perform onstage that same week. Over the years he’s worked closely with Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka and maintained a steady flow of mixtapes and albums, collaborating with the city’s top producers including DJ Drama, Trap-A-Holics, 808 Mafia and Mike Will Made It.

O.J.’s latest release, of which the artist says, simply: “Juiceman been in the streets—had to pull my Pyrex out on these folks.” Stream the Decatur Redd-produced track below.

Miguel Issues Statement Addressing Sexual Misconduct Allegations

(AllHipHop News) Miguel is another high-profile man that has faced allegations of sexual misconduct. In an Instagram post from March, a woman named Xian Bass accused the Grammy winner of assaulting her at the Tenants of The Tree nightspot in Los Angeles.

Bass wrote on IG (in part):

I used to be a fan of your music. I was a fan of your music until you blatantly disrespected my body in a public place. There is nothing I did or said that warranted this disgusting display of entitlement, rape culture, and male privilege. I approached you respectfully and you still decided my body was not sacred enough to be treated as a human being. After we took this photo, you took it upon yourself to grab my breast and remove it from my shirt WITHOUT CONSENT. You then proceeded to look at my naked breast with such a disgusting look on your face. It’s still embedded in my memory.

Spin reports the Barstow, California police department confirmed Bass filed a claim against Miguel Pimentel on March 14. In addition, the publication got confirmation from an LAPD officer that he investigated a sexual assault/harassment allegation involving Miguel and the University of New Mexico student.

Bass claimed a detective told her more accusers must come forward before any action could be taken against Miguel. As of press time, no other women have implicated the singer.

Miguel first addressed Bass’ accusations in March when he told TMZ, “People are really looking for attention in the wrong ways.” His publicist also issued a new statement to Spin:

I felt I had already addressed how bizarre and twisted this accusation was when I was asked about it in March. Her story of what transpired is not accurate and the accusation is unfair and unwarranted.

Miguel released his fourth studio album, War & Leisure, on December 1. The LP debuted at #9 on the Billboard 200 chart with 40,000 units in its first week.

DJ Khaled Joins Solo LaMaze On “OoSheWanParty”

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2mYJyU9o5E

Born in Chicago and raised in Louisville aka “Derby City,” rapper Solo LaMaze always loved music and as a youth found himself listening to music almost every hour of the day.

Getting started early Solo picked up the mic and began rapping at the age of 11 after developing a passion for the battle rap scene and released his first project Year of Solo in 2003

That 2003 project was followed up by his Synthetic Dope LP where he was the executive producer, engineering and producing the entire project on his own.

“It was a no brainer” to begin making music,” Solo LaMaze explained. “I was influenced by the greats like Jay Z  Wayne, Jeezy and Kanye.”

In addition to drawing inspiration from some of the greatest rappers of all time, Solo Lamaze also found himself producing music and following the sounds of Dr.Dre, Timberland, Mannie Fresh, DJ Paul and Juicy J.

This desire to create led Solo LaMaze to opening his own studio called Organized Swagg where before the age of 18 he subsequently released several projects including Bowel Movement, Beast Mode Vol. 1 & Vol. 2, Rare Form” and “Sushi Sushi Sushi.

“My music is candy with the medicine in it, I entertain and slide in a message simultaneously,” he said.

The philosophy about his music has apparently worked and since then his credits as producer include the likes of David Banner, Beanie Sigel, Juvenile, Sean Paul of the Young Bloods, Kool Daddy Fresh, Twista, J-Kwon, Mr. Serve On, and Young Bleed.

Also, ironically besides Lil Wayne, Solo LaMaze  was the last person to work with Grammy Award winning rapper Static Major before his untimely death, an experience he’ll never forget.

Reflecting on the past, but still looking forward Solo Lamaze is getting ready to tour in South Florida in February and has several spot dates where he is planning on performing through the Winter.

Until then Solo is grateful for the outpouring of support he has received over the years as he continues pushing his music.

“Thank for all the support you guys been giving me and I wont let you down. Relax and Be safe tho,” he concluded.

Langston Francis debut new single – FCKD IT UP

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKeVNjA-nLc

Toronto-born Langston Francis just released his debut single “FCKD IT UP”.  Co-written by Langston and produced by Miles Jones and Adam King, “FCKD IT UP” is a hypnotic mix of ethereal synth, electronica and bass-heavy beats, that showcases Langston’s distinct musical style. Langston’s artistic drive propelled him to learn multiple instruments (including guitar and piano) and while he’s a skilled performer, it’s in the studio where Langston feels most at home. He honed his distinct voice and prolific songwriting there, playing with pitches and chord progressions at whim, and creating his unique aural footprint. The video for “FCKD IT UP” , is produced by Gavin Sheppard (Quiet As Kept, The Remix Project) and directed by Elliot Clancy Osberg (Roy Woods, Anders).  It was filmed on VHS tape (incorporating iPhone footage and still photography) and reflects Langston’s experiences living in Toronto.

Fat Tony – “Son of God”

Houston Rapper Fat Tony drops new record “Son of God” under Pop Icon Ricky Reed’s label Nice Life.

Fat Tony is a tried-and-true Underground Hip-Hop Head: He’s been consistently releasing music for the last 9 years on his Bandcamp page, before finally going viral this year with his record BKNY. For his latest release “Son of God”, he’s teamed up with Pop Legend Ricky Reed- Ricky produced, engineered and is releasing the record under his label Nice Life.

They’re an unlikely team, since they come from opposite and seemingly incompatible worlds, but according to Ricky Reed: “As a record company, Nice Life isn’t about specific genres or confining ourselves or our artists creatively. Besides, that’s just not the world we live in. What unites the music on our label is that it all has some degree of subversiveness, a unique voice, and hopefully moves the listener.”

Migos Preview ‘Everyday Struggle’ Parody For “Ice Tray” Video

(AllHipHop News) Migos are taking aim at the Complex series Everyday Struggle. The Atlanta-based rap group uploaded a preview of a video for the “Ice Tray” track off Quality Control’s new compilation project Control The Streets Vol. 1.

Visuals for the song features a parody of the talk show’s hosts Joe Budden, DJ Akademiks, and Nadeska Alexis. Fellow QC representative Lil Yachty is also seen in the video giving a middle finger to the camera.

Budden became an internet meme after his tense conversation with Yachty on an episode of Everyday Struggle. Then things boiled over with the Quality Control crew during a red carpet interview with Migos at the BET Awards in June.

Nas Trolls Lonzo Ball After LA Lakers Lose To NYC Knicks

(AllHipHop News) There was a mini-troll war last night. It started when Lonzo Ball arrived at Madison Square Garden wearing a hoodie with his face over the cover of a Nas album.

Earlier this year, Ball p##### off some Nas fans/New Yorkers when he claimed on the Ball in the Family reality series that “don’t nobody listen to Nas no more” and “real Hip Hop is Migos, Future.” So his clothing choice before the Lakers-Knicks game was a clear reference to that controversy.

Nas fired back at the rookie following the Lakers’ 113-109 overtime loss. The Queens native simply wrote on Instagram, “Great Win Knicks!”

In Flex, Jay Gxld provides the catchy hook and the second verse, while JustJo takes the first verse. With their high caliber bars, its no surprise that the duo tapped Lo Life Beats for the production. Stay current on the new #404Fridays releases by following their Soundcloud.

Ludacris New Year’s Resolution Is To Have A Son

(AllHipHop News) Rapper/actor Ludacris has a unique New Year’s resolution – to have a son.

The “Fate of the Furious” star is a father to three daughters, but he and wife Eudoxie are planning to add to their family in the hope of having a son.

“My New Year’s resolution is to get a boy, believe it or not,” he told People magazine. “We’re going to try one more time. So all next year I’m going to be trying to get a boy.”

Ludacris and Eudoxie welcomed their first daughter together in 2015 and she is “very much on board” with expanding their brood.

However, the couple is keeping busy with their three kids for now.

“The girls are doing good,” he said.

“Cai has a birthday this weekend, and Karma is learning how to drive,” he added in the interview, which took place before Cai’s birthday celebration over the weekend. “She’ll have her driver’s license in two months!”

And the rapper is nervous about having a daughter who is ready to get behind the wheel of a car.

“(It) was (scary) at first,” he added. “We’ve been driving for the last couple of months because she actually turned 16 in August. It was her fault because she didn’t get her permit until February, so you have to wait a year.”
