EXCLUSIVE: Maggie Carrie Talks Being Shot During Troy Ave Incident & Appearing On MTV’s ‘True Life’

(AllHipHop Features) For days after the tragic shooting at New York City’s Irving Plaza on May 25, most of the media attention was focused on Brooklyn rapper Troy Ave taking a bullet in the leg and subsequently being charged with attempted murder and criminal possession of a weapon.

However, another person lost their life that night and two other individuals were wounded. Among the victims of the gunfight that took place inside the Manhattan venue was an innocent bystander named Maggie Carrie Heckstall.

The model was in a backstage green room for the T.I. headlining concert when several shots rang out. Maggie, a guest of NYC emcee Maino, was struck in the leg and is still recovering from her injuries five months later.

Besides her attorneys addressing pending legal action against Irving Plaza, Maggie has mostly remained quiet about the ordeal that caused her femur to be fractured. The Jersey City native is now speaking out about the traumatic experience on an episode of MTV’s Emmy-winning docuseries True Life.

True Life: I’ve Been Shot follows Maggie and Nashville deejay Jamarrius Kelly as the two entertainers tell their respective stories of overcoming gun violence. The program also highlights reports that African-Americans are more than twice as likely to die from gun violence than Caucasians and shooters of black people are less likely to be arrested than someone that shoots a white person.

In this interview with AllHipHop.com, Maggie Carrie talks about appearing on the latest season of True Life. The 26-year-old aspiring singer also gives more details about the lasting effects of being shot and offers advice to other people that are battling back from a gun attack.

How are you doing?

I’m getting better. I’m about 80%.

You had to go through a lot of therapy for your injury. Physically, where are you at this point?

At this point, I stopped going to therapy. I started going to the gym for a weak quad and a weak gluteus medius. I feel like therapy was kind of slow. They’re too gentle for me, so I started going to the gym myself and using the pool. The weather bothers my leg a lot. I’m still not back in heels. I can’t run. My leg gives out here and there. It buckles once or twice a day.

That’s a serious injury. How has it impacted your career?

For recording, it takes a lot of hours in the booth. I can’t stand for those hours. I was bartending, but I can’t wear heels. I was doing Wild ‘N Out. They had parties that I couldn’t go to because I’m not back in heels. I can’t do much of what I was doing before the incident.

Because it has affected your life so much, is it hard to think about that day?

It’s very hard to think about that day, but it’s reality. Thinking about that day is not the real hard part. It’s being able to go to another concert or go to my old neighborhood and not feeling safe or feeling vulnerable.

Why did you decide to tell your story on True Life?

True Life contacted me while I was still in the hospital. Maybe two or three days after I got shot. I was totally against doing it. This is too much. It’s a personal matter. After being in bed for three weeks, I was just like, “You know what? I’m going to do it.” A whole bunch of news organizations were hitting me up. I said, “I’m not going to do [interviews]. So I might as well document it.” Even though they didn’t get it from day one, it was something for me to do. It was time. I was getting out of the bed and I started going to therapy. It made me feel a little bit more like myself.

The episode focuses on two people that have been victims of gun violence. Has this experience changed your view on gun control laws?

No, I feel like no matter what, it’s going to be guns in the streets. We can try hard. We can remove a lot. It’s still some that’s going to slip through the cracks. I just feel like if I’m going to a place that has security and metal detectors, they need to do their best at that place. It wasn’t at a cookout. It wasn’t in the street. It was at a place that had metal detectors and security. It should have been enforced. It’s not going to stop, so places that I go should be safe and their security should be enforced.

Are you still pursuing legal action against Irving Plaza?

Yes.

What about your relationship with the NYPD? You were vocal that you felt they were mistreating you and not really supportive of you as a victim. Has that changed?

I haven’t spoken with the NYPD since I was in the hospital. I never had to go into the precinct. But when I tell you the precinct came to me…  they had my floor blocked off. They were just the worst. The last call I had with an officer, he hung up on me and told me that he has been up for two days when I was trying to get my family to the hospital. Then a lady came in and asked if I left the bullet in me on purpose. They treated me so bad that I don’t even want to hear anything they have to say. They can deliver whatever they have to say through my lawyers. I don’t have to speak to them at all.

Do you know if they’re still pursuing the investigation?

I don’t really know. I’m pretty sure they are. I’m pretty sure it’s an ongoing case. I don’t think it would be over that fast. It’s been about four months. I don’t think anyone is in jail. But they aren’t asking me anything.

My day in a nutshell. Follow up appt w| mvp @thelifeofsosa & back home ?: maggiecarriee

Have you heard from Troy Ave or T.I. since the shooting?

I don’t know Troy Ave. I’ve never met him. T.I. knows a friend of mine. So he contacted a friend of mine when I was in the hospital and apologized. Not on his behalf, because he didn’t have anything to do with it, I don’t think. [The apology] was just for the whole incident and being that it was his show. It was really sweet.

Are you still close with Maino?

Yeah, we’re very close.

Your music is another focus of True Life. What’s the status of your recording process?

I’m currently trying to see if I can last six hours on a plane to record with my old producer. He lives in L.A., so I need to get out there. I’m also trying to find new people to work with out here because I don’t want to fly to L.A. every time I want to record. But it’s kind of hard to find somebody with that same vibe. So for now, I’m writing at home and trying to get ready for that flight.

For a lot of people, this incident is their first introduction to you. How do you think you’ll be able to push past that [characterization] and let people see you as a musical artist?

Getting shot is a tragedy. It’s not like I was the shooter. I’m the victim, so I don’t think being a victim will affect my music in any way. To the outsider looking in, I just hope they get some type of message from me. Not even musically, but just to be safe wherever you are. It doesn’t matter how you look, what you do, where you’re from, how old you are – they’re hitting everybody.

As someone who has experienced it, what would you say to someone else who may be a fan of you or who may just look to you as someone that has gone through this horrible situation? What would you say to someone that has gone through that too?

We got to be strong. It’s a lot of people who are unfortunately not here. So the fact that this tragedy happened to us, we made it and we’re blessed. We’re supposed to be here for a reason to tell our stories. Pay attention. There are many different messages you get from it. But you can’t let it break you.

Queen Latifah Receives Highest Honor From Prince Albert II Of Monaco

(AllHipHop News) Queen Latifah received the highest honor of the Princess Grace Awards for her contribution to the arts on Monday night (Oct 24).

The “Chicago” actress was handed the Prince Rainier III Award, named after the husband of late actress and Princess of Monaco Grace Kelly, for giving back to the arts community.

She was chosen for the honor by the executives of the Princess Grace Foundation-USA, which awards grants and scholarships to emerging talents in theater, dance and film.

Upon accepting the award, she thanked her art teacher mother, saying, “I watched her develop their self-esteem, experience and their zest for life. Just the idea, that if they dream big they can go for it, was something they learned in her art class.”

Prince Albert II of Monaco, the son of Kelly and Prince Rainier III, said the foundation was privileged to give the award to the 46-year-old when it was announced earlier this month.

“She has demonstrated a devotion to helping others throughout her illustrious career as an award-winning actress, musician, and producer,” he said in a statement. “Her deep commitment to AIDS and cancer research and to programs that help the hungry, youth, women and LGBTQ community have made a difference in the lives of so many.”

The actress, who receives a grant of $25,000 to be given to an organization of her choice, follows in the footsteps of Julie Andrews, Dick Van D###, Denzel Washington, Glenn Close, and George Lucas, among others.

Former Hamilton star Leslie Odom, Jr. and choreographer Camille Brown were honored with the Princess Grace Statue Award for their work in the arts at the ceremony, which was hosted by supermodel Naomi Campbell at Cipriani 25 Broadway in New York City.

Leslie previously revealed to People magazine he received a $25,000 grant from the Foundation in 2002 to help him pay for college tuition and said the program was “a huge help to my family and it changed my life.”

The Foundation was founded in 1982 by Prince Rainier III after the death of Grace Kelly earlier that year at the age of 52.

Isaiah Rashad & GoldLink Team Up For A New Single “Untitled”

TDE’s Isaiah Rashad  and GoldLink team up for a new record “Untitled” – exclusively premiered by Beats 1 Radio with Zane Lowe a few days back. No word if the release is a part of a forthcoming project, or just a stand-alone single by the duo.

It’s been a productive year for both artists, as GoldLink inked a deal with RCA back in July – and Isaiah recently releasing his well-received debut studio album “The Sun’s Tirade.”

Tiny Claps Back At Critics Over Photo With Floyd Mayweather

You know the critics had to jump all up in Tiny’s Instagram comments when she was spotted side by side with Floyd Mayweather in a photo from Mariah Carey’s Halloween party.

Remember T.I. and Mayweather had a brawl in 2014 outside of a Fatburger on the Vegas strip, and Mayweather bragged about allegedly having sex with Tiny.

Tiny told TMZ that she wasn’t disrespecting her husband Tip by taking the photo with Mayweather. Instead, she was doing it out of respect for Mariah Carey.

Tiny explained that she was kind of almost forced to take the photo because she didn’t want to disrespect Mariah in her own home. You know Mimi is the Queen of iconic shade (see Jennifer Lopez beef), so maybe she set Tiny up. Jk.

It has to be kind of awkward to pose in a pic beside someone who doesn’t get along with your husband though.

Tip seems unbothered!

Rapper Ralo Throws $30K On Homeless People In Atlanta (POLL)

(AllHipHop News) Atlanta rapper Ralo is being criticized after he posted a video of himself making it rain thousands of dollars – on homeless people.

Ralo, born Terrel Davis, posted the clips to his Instagram page earlier this week, using the hashtag “RALOHOMELESSCHALLENGE.

“F##k going to the strip club, all the n###as wit money let’s go to all the homeless shelters and make it rain on the poor people,” Ralo wrote on the post.

All told, Ralo supposedly tossed almost $30,000 to the eager street people, which cause a ruckus amongst those gathered to scoop up the cash.

“They forgot their food, they got plates in their hands and everything,” said one man who laughed heartily as the money flew.

Users on Instagram flooded Ralo’s page with negative comments.

“Very sad. The thought was great. But you truly treated them did respectfully like animals like they get treated daily by others on the street,” one user wrote. “Very nice but done very distastefully… And why post it?? You got the attention you wanted.”

“This is some of the most degrading self serving behavior I have ever seen,” snapped another user. “It’s inhumane and vile to treat other people like this and then have the audacity to call it charity work.”

Take a look a judge for yourself:

Jhené Aiko Talks Songwriting, Family & Love On VICE’s “Autobiographies”

(AllHipHop News) Jhené Aiko is allowing her followers into her creative process and more as part of a video autobiography.

Vice documented the R&B singer as she discussed her family, being a mother, signing her first record deal, and songwriting.

“I want to create an experience. I want to create something bigger than just an album or music video,” said Aiko.

“The Worst” vocalist also talked about losing her brother.

“My brother was my closest male relationship. He loved music, and he put me on to my favorite artists,” Aiko expressed. “That shaped and molded my style.”

She added about the death of Miyagi, “I wrote and recorded this song on Garage Band, just to express how I was feeling. In my mind, it plays like a movie that day he passed away.”

Aiko also explained how Miyagi’s passing impacted her romantic relationships.

“I was lost in every sense of the word, just letting my mind wander to these different places that were really, really dark and trying to find him in a lover,” said Jhené. “I equated every guy to him… I was disappointed with the guy that I was with, because it’s like, ‘You’re not my brother.'”

Papoose “Disses” Kevin Hart (Chocolate Droppa), Challenges Him To A Battle (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Papoose has thrown down the gauntlet to the top-earning comedian in the world.

The New York emcee was a guest on Sway In The Morning, and Pap let it be known he is not afraid to go to battle against Kevin Hart aka the rapper Chocolate Droppa.

“Chocolate Drop, I’m looking for you,” declared Papoose.

Sway even suggested the two face off on his show.

The Chocolate Droppa persona grabbed a lot of attention for his Cypher performance during the BET Hip Hop Awards.

According to Pap, the other rhymer in that session came out the clear winner.

“Lil Wayne kicked his ass too,” stated the star of Love & Hip Hop.

Soulja Boy & Bow Wow Release New Joint Project ‘Ignorant Sh-t’ (AUDIO)

(AllHipHop News) No, it’s not 2007. But music fans that may have been waiting nearly a decade for Soulja Boy and Bow Wow to unite for a joint project, the day has come.

The duo’s 11-track Ignorant Sh-t arrived overnight.

As of press time, the set has collected over 26,000 listens on Audiomack in about 6 hours, and it reached the #1 ranking on that music site.

Despite the apparent interest in Ignorant Sh-t, of course, there will be people ready to criticize the collaboration.

Soulja wants the haters to know he is not concerned about their opinion.

He wrote on Twitter, “[I don’t care] if u dont like me, sounds like a personal issue.”

Bow Wow believes Ignorant Sh-t is going to change the minds of those listeners that have something negative to say about the combo.

“Yall thought we was gone bullsh-t! Turning these non believers into believers,” the actor-rapper posted on Twitter.

Drake Responds To Fans Criticizing Him For Kid Cudi/Pusha T Diss Song “Two Birds, One Stone”

(AllHipHop News) Has Drake come down with a case of the “IG Fingers”? Or has he chosen to embrace the “Hip Hop villain” role à la 50 Cent?

The OVO leader has been catching some heat from rap fans for his song “Two Birds, One Stone” which many people believe contains subliminal disses directed at Kid Cudi and Pusha T.

Some Instagram users expressed their disappointment or criticism for Drake’s record on Instagram.

Normally, Drizzy does not respond, but the Toronto rhymer decided he needed to address a couple of fans that left comments about him on IG.

One user took issue with Drake dissing Cudi.

“Used to have a little respect left for you after finding out you have a ghostwrite, but dissing Kid Cudi is going too far. F-ck you, man,” wrote someone using the handle @nohakelly.

Drake replied, “man needs to stop mentioning my name when they get geeked [okay] supposed to be all love out here word to my bro Pablo [Kanye West].

Another user named @picklebandali posted, “Pusha is going to wax you.”

Drake fired back with, “they know how I’m rockin.”

DJ Akademiks captured Champagne Papi’s responses and uploaded them to his own Instagram page.

These online interactions came after Twitter users and editorial writers slammed Drake for taking shots at Kid Cudi for the Cleveland performer being in rehab for depression and suicidal urges.

Gucci Mane To Release Three More Albums And A Book in 2017

(AllHipHop News) Gucci Mane hopes to have a  huge year in 2017.

The Atlanta rapper just revealed on social media that he plans on dropping three albums, along with his first book in 2017. He also will tour for the first time.

His second project since his release from confinement, Woptober dropped on October 14.

The 13-track free project features appearances from Rick Ross and Young Dolph, among many others.

Guwop also dropped Everybody Looking in July with the LP opening at #2 on the Billboard 200 album chart.

Furthermore, the rapper will close the year with his recently announced project The Return Of East Atlanta Santa set to drop December 16.

The project will follow his 2015 release East Atlanta Santa 2, which was released while the rapper was still incarcerated.

Will Drake Get Off Cash Money This Year Or Not?

I am not privy to all the details on Drake’s deals with Cash Money or Young Money, but he has been signed to them for a very long time at this point. And we also know he’s been trying to get Baby out of his pockets for quite some time. However, Ebro recently dropped a tweet suggesting that Drizzy would be getting out of the deal at some point this year. How does he know? Who knows!?!

screen-shot-2016-10-25-at-12-02-32-am

Some say that Drizzy is still tied to the label that made him, but we’ll see now won’t we. This new album is on the way. We will see if its Cash Money, Young Money or straight up Universal.

T-Wayne Cries Over Being Mistaken For…Ja Rule?

We aren’t sure if T- Wayne is an attention wh-re, or if he’s really telling the truth.

According to T-Wayne, he was in a nightclub, and people started to hype him up, show him love, and some even went as far as to call him a legend.

While wondering why all of the love was coming his way, he quickly learned that they had mistaken him for Ja Rule, when they began to play Ja Rule’s music.

While T-Wayne thinks this is comedy, this really means no one knew who he was.

Could this be a publicity stunt, because a DJ and credible folks in the industry mistaking someone else for Ja Rule could put their own name and credibility on the line.

We would understand if this situation was reversed and it was Ja who was actually offended LOL.

I ain’t gonna lie, every time I hear his name I wonder if T-pain & Lil Wayne ever got their business right to bring forth that album.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BL7kntGhc5w/

I can’t help but wonder what Ja Rule thinks!

Beanie Sigel And The Game’s Whole Phone Convo Leaks, Meek Won’t Like It!

Beanie and The Game had a real convo and Meek gets thrown under the bus again. The Game dominated the convo, but he seems to allude to him not really caring about Meek. “I don’t get a dollar from Shorty,” he said. “Personally, I don’t think he wants a n***a like me around. I’m gonna call Game, because I think me and him got a better rapport and I need to know for myself is this this music or we standing on that…”

So, it looks crazy for Beans. The Game really goes hard. “You got every right to do whatever you gonna do to Meek – that’s y’all beef. I could literally give to s####. I’m not making no paper with Meek…”

THOUGHTS!?

Nothing is sacred! Why would this leak? It had to be The Game or Beans!!

Twin Brothers AJ and SJ Jackson Want To Educate You With Their TCOHH.org App

AJ and SJ Jackson are not your typical brothers. Not only are they identical twins, but they are businessmen who are seeking to make a difference in young artists’ lives with their website, The College Of Hip Hop (TheCollegeOfHipHop.org).

I crossed paths with the twins because I own a domain name/website that has a similar name (CollegeHipHop.com).

We felt each other out to make sure we were on the same page in terms of working to differentiate our brands in the marketplace, while peacefully co-existing together. We even coming up with some ideas to work together in the future.

Once we figured that out, I took a little time to get to know the brothers. Not only do they have a cool product, their past is just as interesting as well.

While their brand may be relatively, new, AJ and SJ Jackson are no strangers to Hip-Hop.

The Jackson brothers grew up without their parents involved in their lives, and started getting into serious trouble together by the age of 10, which landed them a stint in juvenile prison.

But thanks to Hip-Hop, the brothers evolved into young men with outstanding work ethics, despite the absence of any parental figures in their lives throughout their formative years.

The Jackson’s hustled for years as members of the underground rap group “Identical,” a group that was influenced by Esham, Eazy-E and Ice Cube, which landed on the cover of Murder Dog’s 18th Anniversary Edition.

But AJ and SJ wanted something more, and after earning Associate Degrees, they decided to quit rap and develop something that aspiring artists could use as a utility and gain knowledge from.

So, the brothers set about coming up with a solution they felt would address the market’s needs. After authoring their first book “10 Steps to profit from your Passion.”

AJ and SJ Jackson have set their sights on conquering the app world, with the launch of their latest offering, The College of Hip Hop App (TCOHH.org).

The brothers are aiming to turn their app into a one stop source for entertainment education and teaching new artists the business skills they will need in an ever-evolving industry.

The app teaches users seeking knowledge about the intricacies of the business with a number of tools for learning about copyrights, publishing, working with ASCAP and BMI, setting budgets and more.

The College of Hip Hop APP is available on Android (Google Play), IOS Apple (App Store), Blackberry and the Amazon app Networks.

AJ and SJ Jackson

AllHipHop.com: Where are you guys from?

SJ: We are from a place called Inkster, Michigan. We are 20 minutes out of Detroit. The thing about Inkster is, the group The Marvelettes, who had the song “Please Mr. Postman,” a black billionaire named Don Barden is from there, we got Tyrone Wheatley who is from Inkster Michigan and Olympic gold-medallist Earl Jones, so Inkster has put out a lot of good talent.

AllHipHop.com: So what was it like growing up in the area? In school and particular for you guys?

SJ: We grew up with not your typical “rough story.” We’ve been on our own since we were 14 years old. We had to be responsible at such an early age.

AllHipHop.com: Why were you guys on your own at such an early age?

SJ: Conflict in the home, my mom wasn’t doing well physically, and we were a handful. We were two twin boys. By the time we were 10-years-old, we were rapping and catching cases.

AllHipHop.com: What? Catching cases at 10?

SJ: The first case we ever caught was together, when we were in third grade. And it was for felonious assault. I had a knife, and I pulled it out on somebody.

AllHipHop.com: Where was your father through all of this?

SJ: My father was a drug addict, so he was in the streets and my mother had got sick, it was just us to do whatever we wanted. We had guidance, but we were looking up to the older guys that were 14, 15, and emulating them, and that’s how we grew up, around older guys.

By the time we touch high school, were living on our own, paying our own bills, and there were no curfew and there were no “no’s.”

AllHipHop.com: Wow, this doesn’t fit the image I had of Inkster after hearing all of the names that came from the city, but tell me a little more about the city.

AJ: There are two projects in a two-mile radius of each other. It’s middle to low-income. Our city exists because of The Ford Motor Company. The CEO, they didn’t want the black people and the whites to go to school together. There’s a city in Michigan called Allen Park. The white people who worked at Ford Motor Company, they moved to Allen Park, So there two schools to go to. The Black people that were coming from Mississippi, Alabama, and Georgia, they migrated to Inkster and their kids went to Inkster schools. That’s why we (the city) even exists. So the Black people and the white people’s children would not integrate at school.

AllHipHop.com: So what did you go through catching a case at the age of 10?

SJ: Go to juvenile court, and you sit in front of like a magistrate. It’s really just the kitty jail. Instead of sending us to juvenile, we were on probation for a little while. We walked that down, got off probation. The thing about my brother and I, is that we were super smart, but were never the ones to play with. You got to think, we are identical twins. So anytime anybody ever came to fight us, they would need at least four people, anytime anything ever happened, it always had to be a multitude of people, to deal with us for the simple fact that I was born with my best friend. So our reputation has started to grow, we were running with the big boys, we were rapping, we were getting in trouble, but when you see us, we were these two little dudes.

That’s all we knew. But now that we have kids, we have conversations like, “there’s no way I would want my 10-year-old doing that.” But at the same time, there’s no way I would change some of the things that happened to us in our life, because that’s what made us who we are and that’s what gave us our grind.

AllHipHop.com: In high school, you had your own jobs and your own apartment so you were funding your own lives?

AJ: Yes, in high school we had a four bedroom home, so it was weird for us to hear people say things like “I have got to ask my mom.” And then they come over our house and people really couldn’t believe it. I remember when I was a senior in high school, my English teacher still lived at home with her parents. And I didn’t live at home with mine.

But we worked hard, and had jobs. We were never drug dealers. Seeing what crack did to my father, no matter how much money, we were on the other side of that.

We were not above doing anything, and we can work with our hands thanks to my grandfather and so no matter how much money, we were on the other side of that.

AJ and SJ Jackson

AllHipHop.com: So did you guys actually go to college?

SJ: Yes but after high school, We didn’t go directly to college. I have an Associates Degree in information technology and technical writing, and AJ has an Associates Degree in business, in addition to a little studying for secondary education.

But we didn’t go straight to college after high school, we went to the community college which everybody knows is like “13th grade.”

AllHipHop.com: So how did you guys create this app/brand?

SJ: We were rappers. The name of our group was “More Identical.” We had been going to all of these music conferences for years. It was the beginning of the Ohio Hip-Hop Awards week. We were staying and watching everybody perform and checking out the panels.

But when the panelists came to talk about the actual business, all the rappers always leave. Doesn’t matter where it’s at, or who is throwing it [the conference]. We were driving back, and we decided we didn’t want to rap anymore. We wanted to push the culture forward.

On our neighborhood, we were the guys people came to about information on BMI, and ASCAP and publishing. We were the guys to come to get if you had an independent deal on on the table, we might help you write your contract. One Christmas, my dad asked us “What do y’all want?” I told him we wanted these two books, The Koran and “This Business Of Music” by M. William Krasilovsky and Sidney Shemel.

AJ: Once we decided we weren’t going to rap anymore, we started working on TheCollegeOfHipHop.org (TCOHH.org). Before we released the app, it was a subscription-based site. But people weren’t gravitating towards it. So we released a book in 2015, titled “10 Steps to Profit From Your Passion.” The app was the gradual evolution.

AllHipHop.com: So what is the concept of the app?

AJ: The app contains weekly information, as well as a section for seminars. So you can listen to audio seminars, just plug it up and listen. So right now we have free information on copyright laws, BMI, ASCAP, encoding, and business tax ID’s.

There’s also a resource guide. The guide takes you to all of the forms that you need. The basic concept of TCOHH.org’s app is to be a one stop shop for entertainment education.

AllHipHop.com: What can people gain by downloading the app? Is it free? If they have to pay with you they get it if they pay for it?

AJ: It’s free. And what you gain from the app is knowledge. When you deal with an artist, their favorite go to line is “my manager does that.” We cannot understand why someone is in a business and they are not educated on that business.

SJ: I can’t go to a doctor if he’s not been educated. This business has all kinds of hard stories. You know the big thing is “you get f##ked on your first deal.” You never really hear other people say that. So we said, “the only reason you got f##ked is because you don’t know your worth and you don’t know your worth because you’re not educating yourself.” So we are going to educate you on these things.

I hate when people say the rap “game.” That’s why you’re getting the results you’re getting, because you’re treating it as the rap “game.” No, it’s the entertainment business.

After a short hiatus, Pro Era captain Joey Bada$$ returns with a fresh new single titled “Front & Center,” with production handled by Cookin’ Soul. This serves as the first release of Joey’s upcoming album “ABBA,” which still has yet to secure a release date.

As he closes out the last few weeks of tour with ScHoolboy Q, the Brooklyn rapper recently discussed the new LP with Wild 94.1, stating;

“This new project is very powerful, that’s the best thing I can say about it – it’s very strong music. It’s like hella vegetables. It’s hella good for you, and it’s almost my hesitance with it – the fact that it’s so good for you, because these kids these days want candy.”

Suge Says Dr. Dre Hired A Hitman To Kill Him Over $300 Million Beats Debt

(AllHipHop News) Imprisoned Death Row Records founder Marion “Suge” Knight has filed a lawsuit against Dr. Dre, claiming he hired a hitman to kill him.

Suge also claims he was cheated out of hundreds of millions of dollars, when Dre sold Beats to Apple.

TMZ.com reports that Suge just filed new court documents claiming he had Dr. Dre signed to a lifetime deal which would have entitled him to 30% of the $1 billion Dre made when Apple bought Beats By Dre for $3 billion dollars in May of 2014.

The lawsuit claims instead of paying Suge his $300 million cut, Dre instead hired a hitman named T-Money to murder Suge.

Suge was shot seven times inside of 1 Oak in August of 2014, and he claims the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department took a statement from a man named T-Money, who claimed Dr. Dre had paid him to kill Suge.

When that plot failed, Suge claims Dre and Universal paid Cle “Bone” Sloan $300,000 to make Suge go away.

Suge ended up running over Bone and another man named Terry Carter, who died from his injuries, claiming he was afraid the men were going to kill him.

In addition to Dr. Dre, Apple, Universal and Tam’s Burgers are named in the lawsuit.

Suge is currently being held on $10 million bail fighting charges that include murder, attempted premeditated murder, hit and run resulting in death, and hit and run resulting in injury.

Lil Flip Surprises A Student Stabbed In School Over Shoes (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) A Colorado student got a big surprise from one of his favorite rappers.

Kyler Davila of Carmel Middle School was able meet Lil Flip after the young boy was hospitalized for a collapsed lung after being stabbed in the hallway at school.

Flip found out about Kyler being bullied for not being able to wear regular shoes, and the “Game Over” rhymer decided to visit his fan.

The Houston representative is also donating footwear as part of Kyler’s mission to collect shoes for other kids who are getting bullied.

“I had three pairs of shoes donated to me, because I was being bullied about my shoes, and I really liked the feeling,” said Kyler. “I didn’t want other kids to get bullied because of their shoes, and I wanted other kids to have that same feeling, so I started collecting them for other kids.”
