(AllHipHop News) Rapper Lil Wayne is being hauled into court, amidst claims that he’s nothing but a racist.
A white security guard has sued Lil Wayne for a hate crime, after he was beat down by Weezy’s crew last year.
According to TMZ.com, the alleged incident occurred during the BET Award Weekend in June 2016.
Lil Wayne and his boys were trying to get into Hyde nightclub on the Sunset Strip, when they were allegedly acting impatient over entry to the venue,
The security guard claims he was trying to control the entry to the door, when Lil Wayne himself struck him with a close fist and knocked him to the ground.
The victim claims the attack was a hate crime with Lil Wayne through a glass filled with alcohol in his face and yelled “F##k you white boy.”
The security guard is suing Lil Wayne for assault, battery and he wants at least $25,000 in damages.
(AllHipHop News) Beyonce has asked U.S. Patent and Trademark Office bosses to deny a motion to delay her trademark battle over daughter Blue Ivy Carter’s name.
The “Drunk in Love” hitmaker, who is pregnant with twins, filed legal papers earlier this year to reserve the rights to the five-year-old’s unusual moniker for commercial use in beauty, fashion, and electronics ventures.
Reports suggest Beyonce and her rapper husband Jay Z, real name Shawn Carter, took the trademarking steps simply to prevent others from cashing in on their daughter’s identity, but the move has irked the owners of event planning firm Blue Ivy Company.
Owner Veronica Morales is seeking permission from board officials for a delay so she can depose the former vice president of Beyonce’s BGK Trademark Holdings, Jonathan Schwartz, who has been convicted of wire fraud and falsifying tax records and sentenced to 72 months in prison.
On Tuesday (June 7), Beyonce’s legal team filed legal papers requesting the denial of Morales’ motion, arguing Schwartz is no longer affiliated “in any way” with BGK.
“Given Mrs. Carter’s fame, news of her newborn daughter and her unique name spread quickly,” the papers read. “It soon became apparent that those who were searching for news about Mrs. Carter’s daughter, Blue Ivy, would also find opposer’s wedding planning business.”
Beyonce’s legal team also insists the motion should be denied because Morales hasn’t attempted to settle out of court.
It’s the second time the party planners have objected to Beyonce’s filings with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
The singer previously lost her bid to secure the rights to “Blue Ivy” for commercial use shortly after her little girl’s arrival.
(AllHipHop News) Harlem is set to be the future home of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame.
The nonprofit museum and educational institution announced it won a bid to acquire a building and development site in the New York City neighborhood.
Phase I of the facility is expected to open in February 2018, according to the HHHOF development team.
“The preliminary plan includes a ground floor themed HHHOF café, gallery, visitors bureau, and retail gift store with a second floor HHHOF Museum, event space, offices, and multi-media studio for film and television content production in partnership with the HHHOF Arts & Media Youth Academy students that will be training for careers in tech and media, while producing real-life content for the museum, and the hip hop television channel network,” stated JT Thompson, Founder of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame + Museum.
Planning for Phase II includes a 20-story high complex featuring the Hall of Fame, museum, 5-Star Hotel, retail mall, gift shop, arcade, TV studios, sports bar, restaurant, and concert lounge.
The goal is to have the Hall serve up to 1 million local, national, and international visitors ever year.
HHHOF is also launching a $150 million capital fundraising campaign to complete the acquisition of the Harlem building and development site.
The Capital Campaign Committee is establishing discussions with veteran industry executives including MCA’s Ernie Singleton, Giant Records’ Cassandra Mills, RCA’s Kevin Evans, sports agent Aaron Goodwin, Sony’s Demmette Guidry, and more.
Historic items for the Hip Hop Hall of Fame + Museum are being collected and cataloged.
Eventual exhibitions at the location are likely to include memorabilia from the HHHOF archives, the Grammy Museum, Cornell University’s Hip Hop Collection, the Harvard Hip Hop Archive, the NYU Hip Hop Education Center, the Smithsonian Institute Museum, the University of Houston, the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, and other private collections.
(AllHipHop Rumors) Who doesn’t love a good backstory on a classic record?
Rapper Nelly has certainly made history with the success of a number of his songs and projects, but he recently sat down with Fader to reveal some of the behind the scenes secrets of his hit party anthem, “Hot in Herre.”
I mean the song is still a classic record today! Following it’s release, the song held down the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven consecutive weeks.
Nelly breakdowns how the record came to be, who influenced it, and how it ended up on his ‘Nellyville’ album.
“It’s more of a story of a party record,” said Nelly.
Apparently “Hot In Herre” was one of the last songs on the album because Nelly felt the album was missing something! He felt he was missing the fuse to the bomb, so he called up Pharrell who brought the Chuck Brown “Bustin Loose,” beat.
It was actually Pharrell that told Nelly to have “the girls” answer Nelly with the “I am getting so hot, I wanna take my clothes off.”
It didn’t stop there; Busta Rhymes busted in the room screaming that the beat was infectious, and claiming that Nelly would have all of the women everywhere taking their clothes off.
Pharrell told Nelly whatever he led with, it would have to be something that people would love to repeatedly say….something that would be memorable.
Nelly attributes the success of the record to people being able to relate to the story and process of walking in a party or the club.
In the spirit of Flashback Friday, you know we have to take it back. Take a trip down memory lane, and watch the “Hot In Herre” video below.

(AllHipHop Rumors) Ever since the movie ‘Get Out’ hit theaters, folks have argued that Kanye West is in a sunken place!
Some folks even wondered if ‘Get Out’ was an adaptation of Ye’s life! Since Yeezy’s mental breakdown during his ‘Saint Pablo’ tour, many have wondered if Kanye has been in a sunken place since the death of his mother. Maybe he’s been trying to tell us all through his music, public rants and relationships.
It’s like Kanye is refusing to be controlled (supposedly) while possibly being aware of his own bondage at the hands of his wife Kim Kardashian and her crazy azz family.
Anyway, actor Lakeith Stanfield decided to celebrate Kanye’s birthday with a little bit of petty by reposting a photo that Kim K posted of her and Ye with his ‘Get Out’ character photoshopped into Kanye’s space. Pretty cryptic right? LOL. Carry on.

(AllHipHop Rumors) I don’t think 50 Cent is going to bury the hatchet with anyone else before he leaves this earth.
50 cent never misses an opportunity to take shots at Diddy, Ja Rule, and Irv Gotti.
The Hip Hop world can’t ever seem to forget how 50 Cent seemingly made the once powerful empire that was Murder Inc., fade to black.
Anytime you’d think that maybe the beef would have a chance to be squashed, 50 Cent would do or post something trolling Irv Gotti and crew, letting it be known that he still doesn’t rock with them.
Well the King of Petty, 50 cent is back to his Instagram pettiness. 50 took to Instagram to clown Irv Gotti for falling in love with a former escort.
It seems that 50 cent was triggered by Irv’s recent press run for his BET anthology series, ‘Tales’.
Irv also brought up the fact that 50 Cent apparently had an order of protection against Murder Inc. when he was pulling all of his stunts. Unfortunately for Irv & Co. it fell on deaf ears.
50 Cent wasn’t for Irv talking this sh-t on air, and he wasted no time responding. 50 probably isn’t going to let Irv Gotti’s relaunch of Murder Inc live either.
“LOL ? you in love with a call girl, shorty was one of Taz angels. Smh and you just kiss her in the mouth. ?you gotta get your life together Sucker,” said 50 Cent.
(AllHipHop Rumors) Migos member Offset definitely had some words for Hot 97’s Ebro!
It all started when a rumor surfaced about Offset and Cardi B allegedly breaking up over Offset wanting her to pay him $250k for his feature on her song.
Well Ebro wasn’t the only one thinking that there’s no way Offset could be demanding that much for a feature, but he’s the one that caught the flack. LOL.
Ebro posted a pic of the story, while stating that there were so many things funny about the whole story, including Offset getting paid that amount.
Offset didn’t take the post too well and let Ebro know he’s going to catch him and deliver the fade at Summer Jam.
“Ima be at Summer jam too Ima see if the same joke funny when I see u sucker stop trying my craft n-gga like u trine say I’m trash or sum I’ll beat yo old ass…. U a sucker Ebro on my mama.”
I mean should Offset have taken it to heart? Migos has a run right now, but Idk about $250k a feature run. LOL. Carry on!

In March, Weezy told a crowd at the SXSW Festival he was “going through some bullsh-t with my motherf-cking career and n-ggas is trying to steer my career without letting me do or say a damn thing.”
Rumors suggest Jay and Birdman have been competing for Wayne’s recording allegiance for over a decade, dating back to the New Orleans rapper nearly signing to the Roc around 2005.
(AllHipHop News) R&B singer August Alsina has been accused of flashing his gun at a group of fans on Wednesday night.
The “No Love” singer was reportedly shopping at a branch of American grocery store Food 4 Less in the San Fernando Valley, California on Wednesday night when three girls and a guy asked him for pictures.
According to TMZ.com, the 24-year-old told them he wasn’t feeling well, as he suffers from liver disease, but the foursome would not leave him alone and so one of the shop’s employees called the cops.
Sources tell the website that the group followed him when he left the store so Alsina allegedly grabbed a gun from his car and placed it in his waistband and showed it to them as they approached.
Alsina had left the scene by the the time police officers showed up.
They took down a brandishing firearm report and determined he didn’t point it at the fans or make any threats.
Law enforcement sources believe the case won’t go anywhere as it is a he-said, she-said situation.
Alsina revealed he was battling liver disease in May, saying in an interview he was “sicker than ever” and “having a hard time accepting what I feel.”
(AllHipHop News) Bob Marley was not a Hip Hop artist, but plenty of Hip Hop heads and performers appreciate the music of the late reggae icon.
In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Bob Marley & the Wailer’s Exodus, Ziggy Marley will pay homage to his father by performing songs from the classic album at a live event from Los Angeles.
“We Are The People – Live on LA” will broadcast on the official Bob Marley Facebook page today (June 9) starting at 12 pm PT.
Pandora premium users can also listen to the show on theSounds Like Ziggy artist station.
Exodus, released in 1977, is often cited as one of the greatest albums of all time.
Ziggy Marley has released his own solo bodies of work, including 2016’s self-titled effort.
His discography includes LPs as part of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers as well.
The track followed in the well known Khaled tradition of combining different artists on one song.
This time the producer/executive tapped Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne and Quavo of the Migos to combine their talents on wax.
Khaled spoke about the creation of “I’m The One” in a cover story for Billboard magazine.
According to Khaled, he went to Bieber’s home in January to play him the beat, and they listened to it in the Pop star’s truck.
That same month, the music ringmaster then connected with Chance in Malibu and rented a space at Westlake Studios to record with Migos.
Lil Wayne was the last piece, but the New Orleans spitter was not hard to get on the track.
“He’s never told me ‘no,’ ” said Khaled who has collaborated with Weezy on other records like “We Takin’ Over,” “Welcome to My Hood,” “I’m On One,” “Take It to the Head,” and “No New Friends.”
After assembling the line-up for “I’m The One,” Khaled still had to wait awhile for Bieber to send in his vocals.
“I’m calling every day like, ‘Do you need me to bring you tea? Is the AC good in the house?’” Khaled recalled. “Then he sends it. I’m not going to lie. I shed tears.”
“I’m The One” is part of the track listing for the upcoming Grateful album.
Khaled’s tenth studio LP is set to stores and streaming sites on June 23.
On that single, she also suggested Rem’s husband Papoose was responsible for writing some of his wife’s lyrics.
Remy has denied Pap is her ghostwriter.
“Call anybody I do songs with. Call Swizz [Beatz]. You can go back. Ask [Fat] Joe,” Remy Ma told The Cruz Show in May. “Or ask people that’s not close to me. I just did a record with A$AP Ferg. Sat right there, wrote my verse right there.”
(AllHipHop News) Mary J. Blige has been ordered to pay her estranged husband $30,000-a-month in temporary spousal support.
The “No More Drama” hitmaker filed legal papers to end her 12-year marriage from Martin “Kendu” Isaacs in July, and the former couple has been fighting over his request for almost $130,000-a-month in spousal support ever since.
According to TMZ.com, the singer has been ordered to pay the spousal support retroactive to September and lawyers fees, totaling $235,000.
“I am not responsible for supporting (Martin’s) parents and his children from another relationship which he lists as ongoing monthly expenses,” she reportedly said in the documents.
When he filed for spousal support, Isaacs claimed the singer earned between $1.5 million to $5.1 million over the last two years, while he had no income due to the fact he had been fired as her manager shortly after she filed for divorce.
Blige has dismissed his estimates, claiming the couple’s estate is “underwater” and there is no money left for handouts as she is covering all the expenses while he “contributes absolutely nothing.”
The judge overseeing the divorce battle also noted the former couple owes millions of dollars in back taxes, but no details have been released.
Isaacs is father to sons Jordan and Nas from his first marriage and daughter Brianna from a previous relationship.
(AllHipHop News) Kanye West’s music mentor NO I.D. will be helping to spot emerging talent as the new executive vice president of Capitol Music Group.
The hitmaker, who has produced beats for the likes of Kanye, Jay Z, Drake, Common, and Nas, will take charge of the artists and repertoire (A&R) and production division at the label, reports Billboard.com.
No I.D., real name Dion Wilson, will also continue to oversee his own Def Jam Recordings imprint, ARTium Records, while working at Capitol.
In a statement addressing his new gig, the producer says:
“I look forward to working with the entire Capitol team to build on the cultural impact of our music and further expand into the global markets. There is a legacy of great artists and important records at Capitol, and I look forward to helping create more history and building upon the company’s great brand.”
(AllHipHop News) Rapper/actor Donald Glover has cleared up reports he is hanging up the microphone after one more album, insisting he is only retiring his hip-hop moniker Childish Gambino.
The star took fans by surprise as he performed at the Governors Ball festival in New York on Saturday night and suggested he will be quitting music after his next studio release.
“Look out (for) the final Childish Gambino album,” he told the stunned crowd.
Glover didn’t elaborate on his remark at the time, but he has now shed a little light on the meaning of his comment, insisting the follow-up to 2016’s Awaken, My Love! will simply be his last under his rap alter ego.
Explaining his desire to bow out as Gambino while at the top of his game, he told The Huffington Post, “There’s nothing worse than like a third sequel, like a third movie and we’re like, ‘Again?’ You know, I like it when something’s good and when it comes back there’s a reason to come back, there’s a reason to do that.”
The 33-year-old also cites his desire to stick to his “punk” mentality when it comes to his music and not become too much of a mainstream artist.
“I feel like there’s gotta be a reason to do things and I always had a reason to be punk,” he said. “Being punk just always felt really good to me and we always looked at (his hit TV series) Atlanta as a punk show and I feel like the direction I would go with Childish Gambino wouldn’t be punk anymore. As much as Redbone is a punk song because it’s a gospel song that’s on the radio, I’m like, there’s only so far you can go before you just are the radio.”
In the meantime, Glover has plenty of acting work to keep him busy while he contemplates his next music move. He is currently working on the second season of his critically-acclaimed comedy/drama series Atlanta, while he is also set to voice the role of Simba in Disney’s “The Lion King” remake, and feature in the forthcoming “Star Wars spin-off movie about Han Solo.”

“Due to illness, Migos will not be performing this evening,” read the notice, as posted by fans on Twitter.
The rappers have yet to share any specific details about who was sick or what they were suffering from, but they are currently still scheduled to perform on the next tour stop in Vancouver tonight (June 9).
In addition to Migos, Future has also been joined on the road by A$AP Ferg and Tory Lanez.
(AllHipHop News) British grime star Stormzy doesn’t want to relax and enjoy his success until he has enriched his friends.
Since his emergence in 2014, the U.K. hip-hop star, real name Michael Omari, has become one of the hottest new stars in British music, with his debut studio album Gang Signs & Prayer topping the U.K. chart earlier this year.
Stormzy says he intends to share his newfound wealth with his friends, and won’t relax until he has made them all millionaires.
“I can’t sit down and say, ‘Mandem (Friends), we’ve done it, it’s done.’ Not until all of my friends are millionaires,” he tells Britain’s GQ magazine.
The star is uncomfortable with the trappings of fame and says he doesn’t want to live the luxurious bling lifestyle favored by many rappers.
“You know when you see a day-in-the-life of a rapper? And they go to Harrods? And buy a watch? Bro, I’d rather order a Deliveroo (takeaway meal) in my bed,” he explains.
Stormzy, 23, has hit the headlines a number of times on account of his generosity.
Last month, it emerged he had donated $11,600 to fund a fellow Londoner’s studies at America’s prestigious Harvard University.
For his 23rd birthday in July last year, the grime star took over England’s Thorpe Park attraction so he could invite his friends and most devoted fans to enjoy the theme park’s rides with him.
