(AllHipHop News) Future scored his first solo Hot 100 Top 10 single with the Metro Boomin-produced “Mask Off.”

The popular song sparked the #MaskOffChallenge as social media users uploaded videos of themselves recreating the flute section of the song.

Chance The Rapper decided to do his own version of Future’s#### by spitting bars over the instrumental live in concert.

Fans in Columbus, Ohio got to see the Chicago rhymer take on the beat with a drink in hand.

“Drunk Mask Off,” wrote Chance on Instagram.

Fellow Chitown representative King Louie was present to assist Lil Chano on stage.

(AllHipHop News) A$AP Rocky’s home was reportedly robbed of $1 million worth of property on Tuesday night.

TMZ published a story claiming three men broke in through an unlocked window.

The rapper’s sister was said to be in the house when the robbery took place.

Rocky took to Twitter to offer a tongue-in-cheek response to the ordeal.

“STILL GOT ALL MY RAF THO,” tweeted the Harlem-bred performer.

The tweet was a reference to Rocky’s recent song “Raf” featuring Frank Ocean, Quavo, and Lil Uzi Vert.

Ocean’s Blonded Radio on Beats 1 premiered the Raf Simons-inspired track earlier this week.

(AllHipHop News) Were Amber Rose and Charlamagne Tha God the latest victims of a social media hack?

Overnight, both Charlamagne and Rose’s respective Twitter accounts sent out random messages blasting other celebrities.

“Dear [Tyga] ever since you left [Blac Chyna] your music has been [trash] it’s always been trash just more than usual,” read one tweet on Amber’s page.

Another tweet stated, “Hey [Beyoncé] I got a secret. I am Becky With the Short Hair.”

Charlamagne’s account sent out a tweet that said, “[Wendy Williams] the only reason I worked so hard all these yrs was cuz I knew 1 day I’d have more followers than you. U want this #okaaay.”

Amber went on Instagram to tell her 14.8 million followers the tweets were not from her.

“Damn, I think my Twitter got hacked,” expressed the model.

Charlamagne then shows up in the video to add, “I think mine got hacked too, but I’m going to tell you something… Tyga’s music is trash.”

If T-Pain is serious, what took so long?!?! T-Pain recently took to Twitter to tease the relesae of the long-awaited T-Pain & Lil Wayne collaborative album. I mean dang; it’s been on hold for like 8 years.

T-Pain not only shared the artwork for the album, he also implied that it could drop very, very soon.

T-Pain asked his fans on Twitter if he should “Do It?”, and he also made it clear that this isn’t for the new ninjas! This is for the day one fans!

This ain’t for y’all new n-ggas. These the lost files from ’09 and I’m tired of em just sittin on my hard drive,” said T-Pain.

T-Pain blamed his posts on feeling real 2009 and real spontaneous.

I’m wondering how will T-Pain be able to get the project out with Wayne’s current label issues.

Amber Rose Slept As Man Ransacked Her House

(AllHipHop News) Amber Rose slept while a man broke into her house and hid there for four hours on Wednesday (May 17), according to a new report.

The culprit reportedly broke the kitchen window and entered the 33-year-old’s San Fernando Valley home in the early hours of Wednesday morning, according to TMZ.com.

Apparently, Amber, her four-year-old son Sebastian, her mother and various bodyguards were all asleep inside the property as the man stayed there for around four hours.

At one point, Amber’s assistant got up to make food in the night while the man was elsewhere in the house.

It wasn’t until the next afternoon that Amber is said to have noticed the broken glass in the kitchen, at which point she checked her surveillance footage.

The clip showed the man break into her house and also flee afterward, leading Amber to call the police.

While officers are now investigating the incident, the culprit apparently didn’t steal anything.

It’s not the only crime Amber has been the alleged victim of recently.

On Wednesday night, her fans were left confused when she posted several messages on her Twitter including: “Dear @Tyga ever since you left @BLACCHYNA your music has been (trash emoji) it’s always been trash just more than usual. #muva.”

Another read: “Hey @Beyonce I got a secret. I am Becky With the Short Hair. #iaintsorry #muvalemonade.”

That tweet was in reference to Beyonce’s song “Sorry,” in which she referenced her husband Jay Z allegedly having an affair, with a woman she calls “Becky with the good hair.”

The identity of the woman has been widely speculated since the song hit headlines, with names including U.S. designer Rachel Roy and singer Rita Ora all under suspicion.

However, Amber later cleared up the Twitter confusion by insisting her account had been hacked.

You know what, I’m not even mad or surprised that folks are going off on Wack 100 and Funk Flex for their blatant disrespect of the late, great rap legend. However, I don’t want to see any violence either.

(AllHipHop Rumors) I swear some of you are not to be trusted with greatest rapper lists!

While Lonzo Ball has been expected to be a top pick in the NBA Draft, his “Top 5” rappers list is a mess to some!

Lonzo’s father, LaVar Ball was really getting all of the attention for his controversial opinions, tone, and feelings, but as of lately, Lonzo has been racking up his own publicity outside of the sports world, as he also dropped a Drake “Free Smoke” freestyle.

Once you are in the public eye, social media loves to dig up your old posts, especially your old tweets if there is a hint of anything controversial in them.

As of now, folks were only able to pull Ball’s “Top 5” rappers list from 2016, which included Lil Wayne, Future, DMX, 50 Cent, and Tupac.

Although many people have their own personal lists that are definitely subjective, folks waste no time in telling you that they don’t agree with your opinion. LOL.

Well he is 19, so to him this is probably a respectable list. It seems like folks weren’t completely mad at his list, but some felt that some of these names would be better in a “Top 10” than a “Top 5”. He didn’t seem to have much backing with his belief that Future should be included on the list either.

Did Young Dolph Snitch On Blac Youngsta?

Rapper Blac Youngsta has been charged with six counts of discharging a firearm into occupied property in connection to the shooting incident that involved Young Dolph earlier this year.

In February 2017, Young Dolph’s SUV was shot at over 100 times while he was in Charlotte, NC during the CIAA basketball tournament. Luckily for Dolph, his SUV was bulletproof, so he didn’t sustain any injuries.

Authorities have also seized a minivan that was on the scene and retrieved a number of weapons from the vehicle.

Rumor had it that Youngsta was the one who rented the vehicle. He doesn’t deny that he rented the van, but he did state that the vehicle was stolen from him.

Blac Youngsta maintains that he is innocent.

“I ain’t fire nothing. I don’t know nothing. I ain’t see nothing. I ain’t do nothing,” said Blac Youngsta.

He went on to say,

“It’s obviously someone ratting, someone snitching.”

Word on the curb is that Younsta doesn’t just believe that folks on the scene or in the streets are the ones giving up details, he allegedly also believes that Young Dolph is the one who snitched.

(AllHipHop News) For the last few years, Shad “Bow Wow” Moss has repeatedly been the subject of the Internet’s ridicule.

His most recent trending moment was the result of the #BowWowChallenge where social media users made fun of Bow’s misleading Instagram post of a private jet.

Bow Wow spoke about the situation during the New York City screening of his upcoming reality show Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta.

The 30-year-old rapper/actor admitted his longtime mentor Jermaine Dupri expressed concern about the public backlash.

However, Bow saw the opportunity to flip the mockery into publicity.

He stated:

Once America got a hold of it I said, OK. I said, damn we got a show coming. This is probably gonna be the newest hot show on WE tv. F-ck it, I’m runnin’ with it. We gonna ride this wave, we gonna spin this thing around. And for me and my homies, we joke all the time. Like, we be at the studio, we be at the bar, and it’s no cut. Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta is scheduled to premiere May 25 on WEtv.

(AllHipHop News) Pharelll Williams praised the younger generation for fighting for gender equality as he collected an honorary degree on Wednesday.

The “Happy” singer received a Doctor of Fine Arts degree from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts at the Yankee Stadium on Wednesday and delivered a ten-minute commencement speech to graduates in which he praised their generation for helping create change with issues such as social justice, the use of technology, and equal rights.

“Your generation is unraveling deeply entrenched laws, principles, and misguided values that have held women back for far too long and, therefore, have held us all back.” he said. “Imagine the possibilities when women are not held back. The world that you will live in that will be a lot better. This is the first generation that navigates with the security and confidence to treat women as equals.”

The singer, wearing a purple gown and graduation cap, also added, “There is no humanity without education and there is no education without humanity.”

The 44-year-old has a connection to the university as he previously served as an artist in residence for a year from October 2015.

During his stint, he taught classes and participated in talks.

Dean Allyson Green of Tisch heaped praise on Pharrell and called him a “shining example” for young people, and added: “From his outstanding creative work to his commitment to encouraging positive change in realms of educating youth and protecting the planet, he is a shining example of the infinite possibilities the world holds for all our students as they embark on their post-college careers.”

The doctorate comes a couple of months after the singer received the Officier des Arts et des Lettres Award, a prestigious French honor, in recognition of his contribution to the arts.

According to TMZ, the Young Money leader is considering suing the indicted pharmaceutical executive if he continues to leak music off Tha Carter V album.

Shkreli played music from the project back in December, and he previewed more songs earlier this month.

One of those tracks featured Kendrick Lamar.

Wayne and Universal Music reportedly sent cease-and-desist letters to Shkreli, warning him about a potential lawsuit if he releases more of Weezy’s music.

Jordan Peele To Produce Horror/Sci-Fi Series ‘Lovecraft Country’ For HBO

(AllHipHop News) After the huge success of the film Get Out, Jordan Peele has announced another horror-themed project.

The former MADtv and Key & Peele star is heading back to work on TV for a forthcoming HBO series.

Deadline reports Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions will partner with J.J. Abrams’ Bad Robot and Warner Bros Television for Lovecraft Country.

Underground creator/producer Misha Green was tapped to write the series’ pilot and will also serve as showrunner.

HBO’s Lovecraft Country is based on Matt Ruff’s 2016 novel about the African-American character Atticus Turner searching for his missing father in Jim Crowe era America.

Ironically, Ruff has said he originally crafted the concept of Lovecraft Country as a story for television – similar to The X-Files – before turning it into a book.

“When I first read Lovecraft Country I knew it had the potential to be unlike anything else on television,” said Green. “Jordan, JJ, Bad Robot, Warner Bros and HBO are all in the business of pushing the limits when it comes to storytelling, and I am beyond thrilled to be working with them on this project.”

(AllHipHop News) Calvin “Snoop Dogg” Broadus has become the latest veteran Hip Hop artist to lead a television program.

Snoop Dogg will join 50 Cent (50 Central on BET) and Ludacris (Fear Factor on MTV) as rappers-turned-hosts for upcoming TV series.

According to Deadline, the California representative will take the reins of a reboot of the game show The Joker’s Wild on TBS.

“I’m a huge fan of game shows and The Joker’s Wild was my favorite show growing up,” stated Snoop. “It always matched the flavor and personality of Snoop Dogg! Me and the Snoopadelic team are excited to bring back the show and put my own personal touch on it. Get ready ya’ll, it’s gonna be a wild ride!”

The new version of the show will be set in a casino featuring giant dice, playing cards, streetwise questions, and problem-solving games.

The Joker’s Wild is being executive produced by Snoop and Michael Strahan.

Uncle Luke felt the need to inform Real Housewives of Atlanta star Peter Thomas that he and DJ Khaled don’t run Miami.

Luke let it be known that he in fact was the one who brought Hip Hop to south Florida after Peter claimed that he brought blackness to South Beach with his ‘How Can I Be Down’ conference.

Peter also says he brought Puff, Russell Simmons and more down to Miami Beach.

“Luke came after me, I was there first,” said Peter.

Peter claimed that he could take Miami back at anytime, and if folks don’t believe him, they should ask DJ Khaled.

Apparently Uncle Luke is not here for all of the praise that DJ Khaled has been getting, and he had to fact check Peter’s claims.

“So Mr. Thomas you called DJ Khaled, as if DJ Khaled run some sh-t down here. DJ Khaled is another settler. He came from New Orleans. He went to Orlando. He couldn’t get on as a DJ in Orlando then he came down here to Miami. He got on at Mix 96 the underground radio station. I heard him on the radio and then I brought it to light to the mainstream on 99 Jamz on my mix show. My brother this guy don’t run sh-t down here neither, he just scream Miami out. He needs to be screaming out New Orleans,” said Uncle Luke.

Uncle Luke told Peter that he needed to actually be shouting out legendary Miami DJs when he shouts out DJs, and he goes on to say Peter wouldn’t know them because he also is a “settler.”

Big Sean recently sat down with MTV News to share his appreciation for Lil Wayne, and he expressed that he was so impressed and grateful that Lil Wayne would even pay respect to him considering the fact that it’s no business between them. Big Sean stated that their relationship is literally all love.

Big Sean said for Wayne to pay him respect with how competitive Hip Hop is, is like the highest honor.

Sean also expressed that he rode to school listening to ‘Dedication I’, ‘Tha Carter’, and ‘500 Degreez’, as he’s always been one of the biggest Lil Wayne fans.

Lil Wayne fans now have another reason to keep hope alive because Big Sean confirmed that Wayne’s long-awaited ‘Tha Carter V’ project is in fact coming out.

“Oh yeah that Carter V on the way too. He told me to say that,” said Big Sean.

Sean also stated that with ‘Tha Carter V’ he just wants to see Wayne at his best. I love the fact that Big grew up listening to Wayne, and he ended up working with him since the beginning of his career.
