Bow Wow has been doing press runs for his forthcoming show, ‘Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta’, and you know he had some more embarrassing stuff to say.
He tried to tell Ebro that he may have been on set when the passenger put him on blast, like Hot 97 and the folks at home are stupid.
But it gets better, now he is taking credit for some of your favorite artists’ careers.
In an attempt to take the heat off of himself, Bow Wow is basically saying that if it wasn’t for him, we wouldn’t know some of the other big names in music.
“They wouldn’t even know half of these guys that they love today if it wasn’t for us creating that platform. We put Trey Songz on his first tour ever. I put Omarion on his first tour ever. I put Chris Brown on his first tour ever which was the Scream Tour. Ciara first tour was that. Not to say they owe me anything, but I love to put people in positions to watch them succeed,” said Bow Wow.
Well as you can imagine, folks started roasting him again online. Well Bow, I think we knew them or at least were going to know them with or without the Scream Tour, but I hear you fam. The Scream Tour was a great platform; now stop taking these L’s!

Drake took to Instagram to let fans know that he had visited his producer 40. Of course this immediately fueled speculation that his studio visit meant new music was on the way.
While folks debated on the gram whether or not Drake would be releasing new music in the near future, folks over on Twitter debated about whether or not Drake is truly a top 10 Hip Hop artist.

(AllHipHop News) Hip-Hop legend KRS-One has been left red-faced after paying tribute to the wrong Beastie Boy star on a new song dedicated to late rappers.
Adam Yauch, known as MCA, died in 2012 after losing his battle with cancer, but KRS-One’s latest album, The World Is MIND, features a cut called “Hip Hop Speaks From Heaven” – and includes a shout out to surviving Beastie Boys member Adam ‘Ad-Rock’ Horovitz.
On the track, he raps, “Like a late fog in the mist/I see King Ad-Rock/And rest in peace Nate Dogg/Their names and their natures will last.”
KRS-One also name checks the likes of Tupac Shakur, Notorious B.I.G., Big Pun, Eazy-E, J Dilla, and A Tribe Called Quest’s Phife Dawg on the tribute track.
Neither the “Sound of Da Police” star nor Ad-Rock has commented on the apparent mix-up, on the song, which is still dope.
(AllHipHop News) Naughty by Nature cofounder Treach has stepped up to the plate to defend Tupac Shakur.
Treach has released a vicious diss record aimed at New York DJ Funkmaster Flex, over a rant against Tupac.
Earlier this month, Flex raised some eyebrows, when he trashed Tupac during his “Funkmaster Flex” show on Hot 97.
The New York DJ claimed Tupac caused the death of the Notorious B.I.G., by advancing claims that Biggie had him set up to be shot at Quad Studios, in New York.
As expected, fans of Tupac immediately roasted Flex for his comments, and now Treach has turned up the heat a notch on Funk Flex.
On “Whoooh,” Treach raps:

Treach has a long history with Tupac. The two men became close in the early 1990’s and they even recorded songs together.
Treach and Pac’s relationship so significant, that the New Jersey rapper was woven into the storyline of the upcoming biopic “All Eyez On Me,” through actor Rayan Lawrence.
“All Eyez On Me” is due in theaters in Pac’s 46 birthday, which is June 16.

(AllHipHop News) Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Jennifer Lopez are among a host of stars who have been warned by U.S. authorities about their promotion of products on social media.

Last month , it emerged that officials at America’s Federal Trade Commission (FTC) had written 90 letters warning stars and executives about advertising products on social media.
FTC guidelines prohibit stars from promoting products if they do not disclose that they have a financial interest in doing so.
U.S. authorities have now released the names of 45 musicians, actors, models and social media celebrities who received the letters after a Freedom of Information request by editors at Women’s Wear Daily.
Diddy was warned over his promotion of Aquahydrate, a water brand he co-owns, and Jennifer was pulled up for a post praising Beluga vodka.
The letter to Diddy assured the rapper that he should have “clearly and conspicuously disclosed” his financial interest in Aquahydrate when posting about it on Instagram.
The letters also included a copy of the FTC’s guidelines on social media promotion.
Other stars who received letters include Victoria Beckham, Vanessa Hudgens, Amber Rose, Naomi Campbell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, Lindsay Lohan, Zendaya, Akon, Lucy Hale, Luke Bryan, and Kristin Cavallari.
Many of the questionable posts have since been deleted.
The FTC launched the probe into social media promotion after being alerted to the issue by staff at U.S. consumer rights group Public Citizen.
A letter sent to the FTC by the organisation last year cited posts by Kim Kardashian, One Direction and Rihanna as potentially being in breach of the guidelines.
(AllHipHop News) Hip Hop super-producer Kasseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean is using his celebrity to bring awareness to the educational issues in the foster care system.
As part of National Foster Care Awareness Month, Swizz worked with Children’s Rights to create the #FosterMyEducation public service announcement.
“It’s very important to join me and Children’s Rights. These are not someone else’s problems. This is also our responsibility. When we foster their education, we foster their future,” says Swizz in the PSA. “We’re asking you. We need you. Blessings.”
Comedian Monroe Martin and other foster care alumni joined Swizz for the video presentation which means to draw attention to the educational differences children experience as a result of foster care.
Every year, more than 670,000 American children spend time in foster care.
According to Children’s Rights, only around 60% of young people who age out of foster care graduate high school by the age of 19 as compared to nearly 90% of all young people.
Only 4% of foster youth who age out of care graduate from a four-year college by age 26.
“As a society, we are failing thousands of our most vulnerable children,” states Sandy Santana, executive director of Children’s Rights. “When young people in foster care face multiple barriers to accessing their educations, it is unconscionable. The young adults who comprise Fostering the Future know better than anyone else the changes that must be made, and it is they who should lead the nation’s discourse on foster care. We are honored to share their voices.”
Swizz Beatz serves on the Board of Directors for Children’s Rights – a national advocacy group working to reform America’s child welfare systems.

Jay has signed a new 10-year, $200 million deal with Live Nation, which will cover worldwide touring.
In a statement, Jay Z was excited to get working with Live Nation and its CEO, Michael Rapino.
“Live Nation and I entered unchartered territory in 2008,” Jay Z explained. “Over 9 years, we have traveled the world producing historic music experiences. Michael Rapino is an industry visionary, and this renewed partnership is a testament to our longstanding relationship and the talented individuals at Live Nation. For the next 10 years, we will continue redefining the live event landscape,” stated JAY Z.
The new deal obligates Live Nation to produce and promote JAY Z concert events around the world.
“JAY Z is one of the world’s preeminent touring artists,” added Michael Rapino, president and chief executive officer, Live Nation Entertainment. “This strengthens the creative and business partnership of someone that continues to expand his touring base and reach.”
The rapper is also the headlining act for the Meadows Music Festival, which is taking place in this September in Queens and features stars like Nas, LL Cool J, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Gorillaz, Run the Jewels and others.
“Sprint shares our view of revolutionizing the creative industry to allow artists to connect directly with their fans and reach their fullest, shared potential,” stated Jay. “[Sprint’s chief executive officer] Marcelo [Claure] understood our goal right away and together we are excited to bring Sprint’s 45 million customers an unmatched entertainment experience.”
Forbes reporter Zack O’Malley Greenburg mentioned the Sprint deal as an example of what the future could hold for Tidal.
That sort of attitude offers a clue toward future plans for Tidal, which could one day be the asset that tips Jay Z into billionaire territory–ahead of Dre and perhaps even Diddy. As I noted in January, Sprint’s investment probably wasn’t the end of the wheeling and dealing for the streaming service.
Attached to Sprint’s massive customer base, Tidal suddenly seems much more appealing to tech giants as they look to bolster their streaming offerings. Adding a built-in audience of 45 million-plus could be compelling for Apple as it looks to catch up to Spotify, or perhaps Google or Amazon, as both behemoths try to make a true splash in the space.
Tidal is reportedly valued at $600 million after the $200 million investment by Sprint.
According to reports, Jay bought Aspiro – Tidal’s parent company – for $56 million in 2015.
Forbes currently lists Jay Z’s net worth at $810 million, second among the wealthiest Hip Hop representatives in 2017 to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ $820 million.
Besides Jay Z, other founding Tidal artist-owners include Beyoncé, Rihanna, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Alicia Keys, J. Cole, Madonna, Calvin Harris, Chris Martin, Daft Punk, Jack White, Jason Aldean, Usher, Deadmau5, and Arcade Fire.

The “Anaconda” hitmaker, real name Onika Maraj, took to Instagram on to post a snap of the two sitting side by side at Nas’ fried chicken eatery Sweet Chick.
“Only KINGS recognize QUEENS,” she captioned the image, in which they both pose with their eyes closed, while Nas appears to nuzzle Nicki’s hair as he wraps his arm around her shoulders.
They also rocked the same diamond-studded chain.
“@sweetchicklife has the best food,” she added. “congrats @nas”.
Fans immediately began speculating about a possible romance after the cozy picture appeared online, and devotees even coined a new nickname for the rumored couple, with “#NasNika” becoming a trending topic on Twitter.

(AllHipHop News) Things continue to get worse for Ja Rule, as the rapper is now the subject of his seventh lawsuit over the Fyre Festival.
According to the latest lawsuit, EHL Funding claims it lent Ja Rule and his partner Billy McFarland a whopping $3 million to help cover the costs of the festival, which took place on Great Exuma Island, in the Bahamas.
The pair received the loan on April 10, just days before the festival kicked off on April 28.
According to TMZ.com, Ja and his partner Billy McFarland were supposed to to be making payments on the loan until next year.
But after the disastrous turnout of the Fyre Festival, EHL claims they have not heard a peep from Ja Rule or Billy McFarland, much less received any payment.
EHL Funding claims Ja Rule and Billy McFarland have already defaulted on their loan, so they’ve called the whole note, with interest and penalties.

According to DC, his rise in the entertainment industry was done without much help from the agent he hired.
TMZ reports the Atlanta-raised comedian is now suing Archive Entertainment’s Bobby Patterson for not providing the support that was expected from the firm.
The suit claims a 2013 contract with Patterson included promises of record deals, movie/TV roles, and a line of merchandise.
However, DC says he was the one that secured his jobs and Patterson failed to cover certain expenses connected to his career.
The Archive Entertainment agreement supposedly gave Patterson 65% of DC’s record sales and an additional 35% for his merch sales or endorsement deals.
The host of Chris Brown’s “The Party Tour” is asking the court to void his deal and for Patterson to pay damages.
Last July, Deadline reported DC Young Fly signed with the ICM Partners talent agency.
THR reports the rapper also known as Childish Gambino and his brother Stephen Glover will lead an animated adult action-comedy version of Marvel Comic’s Deadpool as well.
The Glovers will write, executive produce, and serve as showrunners for the upcoming FXX series.
“Donald Glover is an incredibly gifted and versatile artist who’ll bring the untitled Marvel’s Deadpool series to life with the same intense, singular vision as his breakout hit Atlanta,” stated Nick Grad, the FX president of original programming.
Previously, Donald and Stephen worked together on Atlanta with the brothers writing various episodes of the comedy-drama.
The show took home honors at the Golden Globe Awards, Critics’ Choice Television Awards, NAACP Image Awards, Peabody Awards, and Writers Guild of America Awards.
Ten episodes of the Deadpool FXX series are set to premiere in 2018.
(AllHipHop News) The surviving members of the R&B/Pop group TLC are currently on a press run to promote their self-titled comeback album.
While speaking with Channel 4 UK, TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas responded to a question about the Black Lives Matter movement.
“I personally didn’t go to any marches or anything like that, but for me, all lives matter, you know what I mean?” said Chilli. “Because there is a time when different groups are targeted for different things, you know what I’m saying? So, I just think that just the whole what happened – police brutality – against these young black boys, all of that kind of stuff is wrong. Even if it was a Caucasian teen kid that this was happening to or whatever.”
The internet lit up as social media users blasted the singer for her statements.
So much so, that the backlash caused Chilli to disable the ability to leave comments on her Instagram posts.
The Shade Room received a statement from the 46-year-old Atlanta native, and she addressed the controversy.
“Of course Black Lives Matter and the killing of young black boys is heartbreaking to all of us,” Chilli stated. “Everyone knows I am a black mother of a black son so there is no way I could watch what’s happening and not be affected. That video was from an interview in London asking me about issues happening in the U.S. My response was inclusive of everyone, but not meant to undervalue the Black Lives Matter movement or to suggest police brutality against blacks is acceptable.”
The phrase “All Lives Matter” is viewed by many Black Lives Matter supporters as a dismissive response to BLM, because it promotes the idea that there should not be a focus on the issue of police brutality against black citizens because all lives matter, not just black lives.
In contrast, the Black Lives Matter movement tries to highlight the evidence which shows black lives do seem to matter less than white lives in the American criminal justice system.
