Travis Scott & Gucci Mane Are Cooking Up New Music Together

Travis Scott recently premiered “Black Mass,” and it looks like he is cooking up even more new heat with a few fellow rappers.

Scott was recently spotted in the studio with Gucci Mane, and Wale also recently previewed a collaboration between him and Scott.

Scott’s melodic sound meets Gucci’s trap style for a new energetic track in recent in-studio clips.

We wonder if the Gucci collaboration will appear on Scott’s forthcoming ‘Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight’ project. Travis has also been doing a lot of features, so the song could actually surface on new material from Guwop. We’ll keep you posted.

St. Louis Native Jaylien Drops Freaky Sex Song “”We F*k”

Jaylien is a multi-talented producer, songwriter, artist and model from St. Louis first gained prominence as a producer/songwriter for Akon.

He achieved recognition for his work on Akon’s album Freedom (2008), producing and writing the multiplatinum selling single “Beautiful” featuring Colby O’Donnis and Kardinal Official.

Soon after, he went on to co-write another multi-platinum hit song “Scream & Shout” for will.i.am & Britney Spears.

Since then he’s continued to produce and write songs for many artists including Chris Brown, Cody Simpson, Cheryl Cole, T-Pain, LL Cool J, T.I., Quincy Jones, Snoop Dogg, Peter Andre, B.o.B., Charlie Wilson, will.i.am, Seal, Fitz and the Tantrums & many more.

Earlier this year, Jaylien had has first live performances opening up shows for The Dream and again with Jeremih.

Jaylien recently premiered “We F*uk,” the second music video from his debut EP Summer’s Over recently released on July 22.

Directed by BlessAndSee musical partner and fashion photographer Stephen Garnett, the visual clip shows Jaylien getting an unexpected surprise midway through a freaky romp in the bedroom.

Chrisette Michelle, Musiq Soulchild, MC Lyte & More To Be Part Of ‘Love Jones The Musical’ National Tour

(AllHipHop News) The cult classic film Love Jones has been adapted into a stage production and fans across the country will get to see the musical starting this fall.

An all-star cast of R&B/Hip Hop artists such as Chrisette Michelle, Musiq Soulchild, Marsha Ambrosius, MC Lyte, Raheem Devaughn, and Dave Hollister will perform popular hits as well as their own records. A few original songs are part of the show as well.

“We are really excited about this opportunity to break new ground with this musical, as it relates to African American offerings in theater around the country,” states producer Melvin Childs. “Our team has created something truly special and sincerely hope to live up to the expectations of the fans of the iconic film, Love Jones.”

Childs’ Produced By Faith is producing Love Jones The Musical with the film’s original writer/director Theodore Witcher serving as a consulting producer. The play was written by Timothy Allen Smith and directed by Zadia Ife.

Described as “a hip When Harry Met Sally,” Witcher’s Love Jones is considered one of the standout African-American led films of all time. The 1997 romantic-drama starred Larenz Tate and Nia Long.

The movie’s soundtrack was also well received. Cuts by Lauryn Hill, Dionne Farris, Maxwell, Xscape, and others were featured on the collection.

Travis Scott Axes Gigs In Ireland and Scotland To Focus On New Album

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Travis Scott has scrapped gigs in Ireland and Scotland due to a delay in the production of his new album.

The 24-year-old, who stormed into the U.S. charts in September of 2015 with the release of his debut album Rodeo, has canceled gigs at the O2 Academy venues in Dublin, Ireland and Glasgow, Scotland on Monday (August 22) and Tuesday (August 23) so he can concentrate on mixing his latest release.

“Due to his album mixes delay Travis Scott has been forced to cancel his shows in Dublin and Glasgow today and tomorrow,” a statement on the Facebook page of Irish music promoters MCD productions reads.

“He was hoping to have this all finished in time to travel but unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, it isn’t.”

As well as working on his new album, Travis recently launched his own radio show on Apple Music’s Beats 1 station.

Speaking to fellow Beats 1 host Zane Lowe earlier this month, the star revealed his new presenting job and updated fans on how his new album was coming along.

“I want people to really understand who we are and show a different side to me,” he said, adding, “My album is coming… I feel like it’s a very good body of work.”

Joe Budden Claims He’s Better Than Lupe Fiasco

Joe Budden and Lupe Fiasco recently engaged in some friendly and competitive trash talking over on Twitter.

Joe Budden apparently responded to a fan who suggested that the two collaborate or start some beef on wax.

According to Budden, Fiasco has been scared of him for a while. Lupe caught wind of the Tweets and replied saying,

“Lawd! I don’t even know where to begin…”

Another fan tweeted that Lupe will certainly out rap Budden, but the the Slaughterhouse MC replied by saying,

“I love Lupe, but he’d have to prove that.”

Joe & Lupe took turns trading jokes that included Street Fighter related emojis. Although this fake feud is less serious than Joe’s feud with Drake, we’d have to ask who do you think would win in a rap battle between Joe Budden and Lupe Fiasco?

McDonald’s Responds To Kanye West’s “Boys Don’t Cry” Poem About Its Food

(AllHipHop News) Kanye West is one of the celebrities that contributed to Frank Ocean’s Boys Don’t Cry magazine.

The publication, released in conjunction with the new Ocean album titled Blonde, included the poem “The McDonald’s Man” that Ye wrote about the restaurant chain’s food.

Mickey D’s has now responded to Yeezy’s piece. The fast food company’s spokesperson Terri Hickey sent an email to Time.

“We’re lovin’ the love for McDonald’s World Famous Fries and Apple Pies,” wrote Hicker. “Like the beef in our burgers our love for our fans’ creativity is 100 percent.”

Desiigner’s “Panda” Single Hits Triple Platinum

(AllHipHop News) Desiigner has become one of the most successful breakout artists of 2016.

His single “Panda” spent two weeks at #1 on Billboard‘s Hot 100 chart, making him the youngest male to land in the top spot since 2007.

The Brooklyn rapper’s record label announced the smash hit is now triple platinum. Def Jam revealed the news on Twitter.

This weekend Desiigner has the chance to earn more major accolades. The 19-year-old rhymer is up for Best Hip Hop Video and Best New Artist at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards airing on Sunday.

He is also up for Best Hip Hop Video and Best New Hip Hop Artist at the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards. The event will broadcast on October 4.

Sales Predictions For Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonde’ Are In

(AllHipHop News) Frank Ocean is on pace to earn his first #1 album on the Billboard 200 chart.

According to the publication, the “Nikes” singer’s sophomore studio album is looking to collect between 225,000 – 250,000 equivalent album units in its first week.

Channel ORANGE, Ocean’s previous LP, opened at #2 with 131,000 copies. The project went on to be certified gold by the RIAA and won the Grammy award for Best Urban Contemporary Album.

I Told You by Tory Lanez is the other major R&B/Hip Hop album released last week. It has been reported the LP is expected to move 35,000 – 40,000 sales plus streaming units.

Big Boi Reveals Upcoming EP With Killer Mike Per Spin Magazine Interview

(AllHipHop News) Big Boi has announced that he and fellow Atlanta MC Killer Mike have a joint EP in the works.

Big Boi made the revelation in an interview with Spin magazine commemorating the 20th anniversary of ATLiens.

“Wait until you hear this new sh#t. Killer Mike is busy as hell,” stated Big Boi when speaking on the impending project.

“I mean, he’ll come straight from the airport and go into the studio and bust on two or three records and come back again the next day,” Big Boi said. “We’re just trying to put as many ideas out there as possible. And me and Killer Mike, we’re gonna put out a little EP after I put out my next solo record or something like that.”

The duo have done work together before, as Big Boi was instrumental in putting Killer Mike on the map by featuring him on the Grammy winning track “The Whole World,” back in 2001.

In addition to his joint project with Big Boi, Killer Mike is also working on a new project with long time collaborator EL-P, who together form the group Run The Jewels.

Big Boi on the other hand, recently worked with electro group Phantogram as the collective Big Grams, with the newly formed group releasing self titled project Big Grams last year.

 

 

 

Future To Make First Appearance On VMA Stage At 2016 MTV Video Music Awards (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) MTV announced today that Atlanta hip hop icon Future will perform at the VMAs for the first time in the 2016 edition of the awards show.

The announcement was made via a custom created video by Tom Gould, which will also be featured in MTV’s “Canvas” campaign.

In the brief video, Future gives a little insight into his creative process stating, “Its about mastering tone for me, its about mastering the melody, its about mastering the style.”

Future is set to grace the VMA stage with his distinct creative flair for the first time along with previously announced performers, Britney Spears featuring G-Eazy, Nick Jonas featuring Ty Dolla $ign, and Video Vanguard recipient Rihanna.

The 2016 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from New York’s Madison Square Garden on Sunday, August 28 at 9 p.m. EST.

It looks like Birdman and Toni Braxton are still going strong as Tamar Braxton seems to have spilled the beans on Birdman buying her big sister a new unreleased Bentley truck.

Cash Money’s CEO certainly likes to brag about his cars since the early 2000s, so it’s not a surprise that the “Number 1 Stunna” made sure his lady matched his fly with the 2017 Bentley Bentayga.

Birdman certainly sparred nothing with spending lavishly on his R&B royalty. The luxury SUV reportedly costs $250,000.

Tamar Braxton alludes to the vehicle being a gift, but she doesn’t reveal who Toni received the gift from.

Juvenile Turns Up At LAX Nightclub In Preparation For “800 Degreez”

Juvenile turned up the heat at LAX Nightclub inside Luxor Hotel and Casino recently as the latest headliner in the venue’s “Throwback Thursday” series.

The New Orleans-based Dirty South rapper delivered a six-song superset of hits to a full house, with his son, Young Juve, providing backup.

The artist and longtime manager Drae Jackson were presented with a cake following the performance to commemorate eleven years of collaborating.

Juvenile was at the forefront of the ’90s “bounce” dance craze that emerged from New Orleans. With hits including “Back That Thang Up” and “Ha,” he released his No. 1 hit single “Slow Motion” in 2004.

He is expected to debut his upcoming full-length album 800 Degreez later this year.

T.I. Follows His Alleged Side Chick On Instagram

Although Tiny’s rep recently released a statement on her behalf saying that her and T.I. were “good,” it certainly didn’t help the cheating rumors when T.I. followed his alleged escort side chick, Ana Montana, on Instagram.

Before Tiny’s rep released a statement, Tiny revealed that she had also heard the rumors of Tip cheating with a “prostitute” and that he would have to take it up with God when she became engaged in a social media battle with her oldest daughter Zonnique’s step mom.

Now the rep said T.I. and Tiny value family over everything, but a statement like this doesn’t negate the cheating rumors. Tiny also posted a post on Instagram that said,

“Be peaceful but always remain prepared for war.”
