Ghost – “JB Brother”

Ghost is back with a follow-up video, “JB Brother,” another visual from his mixtape “Nina’s Son.”  The inspiration for JB Brother was coming from a place in Ghost’s life, his past. I wanted to capture the essence of who he is and make sure we kept it raw.“- FXRBES, Director. Check out the visual below.

Janelle Monáe Suggests Women Should Consider A Sex Strike To Fight For Gender Equality (POLL)

(AllHipHop News) Could the plot of Spike Lee’s Chi-Raq become a reality?

The movie tells the story of a group of Chicago women that refused to have sex with any man until the violence in the city ended.

In an interview with Marie Claire, R&B/Soul singer Janelle Monáe suggested women in real life should consider the same tactic in order to secure gender equality.

Monáe stated:

People have to start respecting the v#####. Until every man is fighting for our rights, we should consider stopping having sex. I love men. But evil men? I will not tolerate that. You don’t deserve to be in my presence. If you’re going to own this world and this is how you’re going to rule this world, I am not going to contribute anymore until you change it. We have to realize our power and our magic. Because I am all about black-girl magic, even though I’m standing with all women. But this year? This year, I am so carefree black girl.”

Do you think this is an effective tactic to achieve woman’s rights? Take our poll below and share your thoughts in the comment section.

Did Rihanna Gives Drake Some Funny Vibes A Kid’s Birthday Party!

(AllHipHop Rumors) Have you ever been somewhere and saw your ex and acted like they didn’t even exist? Well that’s exactly what Rihanna allegedly did to Drake over the weekend!

Apparently Rihanna and Drake were both spotted at a kid’s birthday party, and they didn’t even acknowledge each other.

RiRi and the 6 God have been described as being two ships passing in the night. Ri is said to have been completely caught off guard, and she wasn’t even trying to see Drake.

Apparently both have both moved on and Drake has been rumored to be dating “More Life” collaborator/ singer Jorja Smith!

This had to be awkward since Rihanna allegedly didn’t even know Drake would be there. They say there are two types of exes after a couple breaks up. The ones that don’t want to see each other ever again, and the ones that like to pettily ruin their exe’s life for a little while until they are over it. I’m the latter. LOL.

Joey Bada$$ Rates Country Music, The Mannequin Challenge, Casinos & More (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) In the latest edition of Pitchfork‘s “Over/Under” series, Joey Bada$$ was asked to rate a few random things.

The Brooklyn spitter shared his opinions on Country music, the Tooth Fairy, self-driving cars, business cards, and the #MannequinChallenge.

“Overrated as f-ck,” responded Joey about the popular 2016 viral trend. “I even did one of those. It’s like, ‘Why?’ But it’s because I was previewing a new song. That’s before ‘Land of the Free’ came out.”

‘Land of the Free’ appears on Joey’s sophomore album All-Amerikkkan Badass which was released on April 7.

In addition, the “Over/Under” segment included Joey sharing a story about going to a casino with his producer/friend Statik Selektah.

PREMIERE: Renegade El Rey Soars Over The ATL In “Yeah Yeah” Music Video

(AllHipHop News) Southern Eagle Music Group leader RENEGADE EL REY returns with a new video for his 8Ball & MJG-inspired record titled “Yeah Yeah.”

The clip features the Tennessee-raised rapper/entrepreneur in the process of taking over the Atlanta scene through his music and apparel.

“I believe that when you look at a visual for a record it should enhance the spirit of that song. So we really tried to capture the soul of the song with this video… Yeah Yeah!” RENEGADE tells AllHipHop.com.

Outside of cutting his on records, RENEGADE EL REY also serves as the studio manager for Atlanta’s Stankonia Studios which was made famous by the Grammy-winning Hip Hop group OutKast.

The former University of Memphis football player has worked as an engineer for music standouts such as Big Boi, Future, Killer Mike, Jeezy, Bun B, T.I., J. Cole, and more.

Tip, Tiny And Bernice: Clapbacks And Hood Ish

(AllHipHop Rumors) I refuse to give up on T.I. and Tiny. And, it seems that they are refusing to give up on each other as well, even though the lovely Bernice Burgos is lingering. Bernice is a baddie, but I think Tip watched Chris Rock’s sketch on “New pu$$y.” Apparently, Bernice showed her petty side and trolled Tiny by playing her hold hit “Just Kickin’ It.”

Producer Cuban Harry Convicted Of Selling Lean; Lawyers Say Prosecutors Are After Chris Brown and Lil Wayne

(AllHipHop News) The self-proclaimed “King of Lean” has been convicted of multiple felonies for illegally selling prescription cough syrup.

Producer Cuban hairy, a.k.a. Harry Garcia was found guilty of multiple felonies, after jurors deliberated for four hours.

The 27-year-old producer was accused of paying men to rob Walgreens and CVS stores, so he could make his own “sizzurp,” which is a mixture of promethazine and codeine.

An investigation started when Cuban Harry used his Instagram page to pedal his “purple drank.”

During the trial, Cuban Harry admitted to selling large amounts of his drugs to Lil Wayne and Chris Brown, who allegedly wired him a $15,000 payment.

Cuban Harry’s defense team argued that their client was a junkie and that the government was really trying to build a case against Chris Brown and Lil Wayne.

Despite his argument, Cuban Harry was convicted of five felonies and now faces life in federal prison.

Chris Brown denied any reports of drug dealing, ironically, in an Instagram post:

Ludacris Is Proving People Are Dumb

(AllHipHop Rumors) Ludacris probably didn’t know he was doing this with his new song, but he certainly proved it. People are dumb. They are also followers, which is a very social media trait. But we all know Luda is known to augment his features. Remember this? “Get Back” was classic! But now, Luda has a new song called “Vitamin D” with Ty Dolla $ign and the augmentation – people are taking it as real. In “Vitamin D,” Luda clearly airbrushes his abs and chest, but people didn’t get the “joke” and started to drag him on social media. Later in the video, you even see that the joke is over. I guess they didn’t go that far.

So here is what happened on social media.

Here is the song.

What say you?

Kendrick Lamar Scores Highest-Debuting Rap Song On Hot 100 In 7 Years With “Humble”

(AllHipHop News) Kendrick Lamar’s latest single “Humble” may have been hit with backlash from some women, but that did not stop the track from having a huge debut on the Hot 100.

As Billboard reports, “Humble” lands on the chart at the #2 position, behind Ed Sheeran’s smash record “Shape of You.”

By opening up in the runner-up spot, Kendrick has the highest Hot 100 debut for a rapper since 2010.

In that year, Eminem’s “Love the Way You Lie” featuring Rihanna started at #2 on the chart.

“Humble” is the TDE emcee’s fourth top 10 hit and his first as a lead artist.

His other Top 10ers are A$AP Rocky’s “F-ckin’ Problems” (8), Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” (1), and Maroon 5’s “Don’t Wanna Know” (6).

“Humble” also hit #1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs, Streaming Songs, On-Demand Streaming Songs, and Digital Song Sales charts.

Did 50 Cent Punch A Female Fan?

(AllHipHop Rumors) YIKES. This could be a costly mistake for 50 Cent. In a video obtained by TMZ, 50 Cent may have hauled off and punched a female fan. It seems like the women got the opportunity to touch 50’s hand and when she did, pulled him down off the stage. This is when it seems like Fif threw a punch as he fell down. Somebody grabbed him. After the punch, they pulled her on stage and let her twerk for the audience. I am pretty sure she’s going to think on this a bit and make another move.

Was she too aggressive or was he?

Choke No Joke Blasts ‘The Breakfast Club’ For Allegedly Blacklisting Him Over Jay Z Statements

(AllHipHop News) Veteran videographer/filmmaker Arthur “Choke No Joke” Alston recently stopped by The Breakfast Club to promote his The Hip-Hop Nucleus: A Documentary on the Legendary Tunnel Nightclub of NYC.

According to Choke, portions of the Q&A where he discussed his former business associates Jay Z and Dame Dash were omitted from the final video version uploaded on YouTube.

The one-time Roc-A-Fella Records employee also called out the radio show for not promoting the interview on its Instagram page or the Power 105.1 website.

He even suggested his comments about Jay may have led to him being placed on an industry “blacklist.”

Choke No Joke wrote on Instagram:

I’ve seen some bullsh-t in this industry for years. However the way these people are all on Jay Z d-ck I’m wondering what Beyonce use to beat them off so she can get some from her husband to get pregnant.
This is some blatant disrespect and Black List sh-t. I want you all to go and check out The Breakfast Club Instagram page, Power 105.1FM.com and see how they didn’t post my interview at all. The only reason they posted on YouTube is because I had posted the full interview on Friday because I shot the interview myself because I felt if I mentioned Jay Z that it was a possibility that they wouldn’t play it knowing how much influence Jay have on Charlamagne and them. It really hurts me to see this. Why I can’t talk about Jay Z? He’s not GOD for real. I don’t care who calls him Hov but he’s not my GOD. Jay Z is a part of my life as I am a part of his through employment and history. As you can see they cut out 10 minutes of my interview all because I talked about Jay Z. Now @tyrese and @ludacris go on the show after me and as you can see they interview is posted immediately but the funny thing is they titled their interview “They Keep It 100” well what did I do. I know I haven’t done the things these brothers did and I won’t ever because we all are different but the blatant disrespect is in everyone face. I did a lot for this industry and a lot of people in it and it hurts me to see people trying to slow me down as much as they can. When does this end? When I get on my knees or on all fours? This is f-cked up that @breakfastclubam did me this way. Jay Z it’s time for us to have a conversation because if you have a problem with me telling our history I need you to tell me so I know it’s either hurting you or you rather me not which is cool and understandable. So can someone set me up a meeting with Jay Z at Roc Nation. It’s long over due for me and this man to talk. I never had a problem with Jay Z outside of me getting jumped and that was Dame fault and I don’t hold Jay accountable and that sh-t is old and over with but the fact that people act like I can’t talk about it is hilarious!!! Can someone set up this meeting please!! #jayz

In a separate IG post, he added:

The part that they dropped. The Last Days of the ROC. I’m tired of people saying I’m dwelling on the past. I would never talk about these things if I wasn’t asked. I promise if Dame Dash didn’t try and play me on Drink Champs this 2002 incident would never have came up again but people acting like I gave this story life all over. So to all y’all who feel I’m dwelling on the past tell these journalists stop asking the question about Paris and I won’t ever mention that story again. Honestly speaking I was done with this story over 10 years ago with @djsuperstarjay when he interviewed me and he had a internet radio show before y’all called it Podcast. The funny thing about these shows is that these people will let those people with a bigger name just sh-t on you but if you have a rebuttal you bitter or mad or can’t talk about them. If you haven’t checked out The Breakfast Club clink the link in my bio. Make sure y’all go on iTunes and get that The Hip-Hop Nucleus: A documentary on the legendary Tunnel nightclub of NYC it’s out now on iTunes.

Did Jay Z Black List One Of His Former Employees?

(AllHipHop Rumors) Choke No Joke does a great job of keeping people talking. Well, it is hard to determine what happened, but an interview Choke did with The Breakfast Club disappeared after he allegedly talked bad about Jay Z. Now, nobody is saying but folks. Won’t stop talking.

First of all, Choke used to work for Roc-A-Fella back in the day and he did a lot of video work. From what I can see, he worked closer with Dame Dash. Anyway…here is what he alleged:

I’ve seen some b####### in this industry for years. Migos and Lil Yachty Heading to London For “Cultural Revue” Concert

(AllHipHop News) Hit making label Quality Control Music is bringing a “cultural revue” to London later this month.

The Atlanta-based record label just announced a concert at London’s 02 Brixton Academy, which will feature their marquee artists, Migos and Lil Yachty.

According to Quality Control founder Pierre “Pee” Thomas, the label is focused on international expansion.

“Together with our artists and their fans, we are the culture,” said Thomas. “And while we have been independently building this across America, our vision was not to be just a cool niche label, but to lead globally as well.”

The trek is also special, since it is the first time the Atlanta hip-hop group Migos have performed in the UK.

“Taking the Quality Control experience to London is an important milestone in QC’s international expansion,” added CCO Kevin “Coach K” Lee. “Much like what the Motown revue in the ’60s did for the label and Detroit, we know our music and experience is in tune with people everywhere.”

Casanova Clowns Troy Ave For ‘Breakfast Club’ Interview & Saying He’s The New 2Pac (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Troy Ave raised a few eyebrows when he compared himself to Tupac Shakur during a recent interview with The Breakfast Club.

“It’s the second coming of 2Pac. It’s ‘new Pac.’ I go do shows, everything’s different,” said Troy.

He later added, “I didn’t say I’m the new Pac. I said the feeling is like on some Tupac sh-t.”

However, the NYC rapper upped the 2Pac ante when he posted cover art for a new project titled NuPac featuring images of Troy and Pac in similar situations.

During his The Breakfast Club sit down, Troy Ave also discussed how he supposedly helped fellow Brooklyn native Casanova from being harmed at an event.

“I saved Casanova’s life one night at a pool party in Long Island,” claimed Troy. “I saved son’s life that night. If he ain’t a fraud, he’ll tell you.”

Casanova fired back at Troy on his own IG page over his street tales and “New Pac” claims.

“NEW PAC ??MORE LIKE THE NEW SOULJA BOY ??YOU MAKING ME SHLEEPY,” wrote the “Don’t Run” performer in a video caption.

The clip was a play on the #SouljaBoyChallenge as Casanova clowned Troy over his story about how he was shot last December.

Casanova is connected with currently incarcerated podcast host Taxstone.

Tax is alleged to be involved in the 2016 New York City shooting which left Troy Ave injured and Ronald “Banga” McPhatter dead.

DJ Whoo Kid & Waka Flocka Claim To Be Banned From Norwegian Cruises Over Poop Prank (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) DJ Whoo Kid and Waka Flocka Flame are apparently barred from the Norwegian Cruise Line over f#### matter.

According to Whoo Kid, he and his rapper partner are not allowed on the company’s ships anymore because someone “took a dump” on the boat.

“To this day, I think it was Flo Rida,” Whoo Kid told TMZ.

He continued, “Somebody pooped behind the pool and put a $20 bill on the poop.”

Whoo Kid and Waka were taking part in Rob Gronkowski’s Gronk Party Ship.

The alleged defecation situation did not seem to damage the relationship between Whoo Kid and Gonk.

Ludacris Reacts To Sexual Harassment Accusations Against Rap Music Critic Bill O’Reilly (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) The revelation that Bill O’Reilly was involved in $13 million worth of settlements for multiple accusations of sexual harassment and Kendall Jenner’s Pepsi commercial being pulled were two of the biggest news stories from last week.

O’Reilly losing sponsors for his Fox News show over the allegations and Pepsi bowing down to public pressure over its perceived tone-deaf ad actually tie together in another way.

It was O’Reilly that went on an on-air crusade in 2002 to get Atlanta rapper Ludacris dropped by Pepsi as a celebrity endorser for supposedly promoting the “disrespect of women” in his lyrics.

The Grammy-winning Hip Hop artist and O’Reilly reportedly settled their public feud at a charity event in 2010.

However, during a recent stop by The Breakfast Club, Luda was asked about his history with The O’Reilly Factor host and O’Reilly’s recent public relation troubles over his alleged mistreatment of women.

“It’s not my place to judge Bill O’Reilly the same way that he judged me,” stated Ludacris. “It’s a lot of maturity and a lot of growth. I’ve moved on past it.”

He continued, “I’m thriving in life right now. All I can do is hope that Bill O’Reilly settles these issues and learns from whatever mistakes he may have made… It is definitely ironic that both Pepsi and Bill O’Reilly are under fire right now.”

“All of that overly criticizing and just condemning all rap artists and rap music for misogyny – look what’s going on,” added Luda.

O’Reilly has also taken aim at other rappers such as Jay Z, Kanye West, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Cam’ron, Lupe Fiasco, Common, and Snoop Dogg.

The 67-year-old talking head has blamed rap music for the decline in young Americans identifying as Christians as well.

Ludacris was at Power 105.1 – along with actor/singer Tyrese – to promote The Fate of the Furious movie which is set to hit theaters on April 14.
