Bow Wow is not too happy about Erica Mena sharing their personal business on Instagram. He feels like telling your personal business on social media is lame. He also said Erica Mena was attention seeking because her miscarriage happened 5 months ago. Ouch. They won’t last long. As much as we didn’t understand why they were together, it actually makes perfect sense. Who else would they be with.
(AllHipHop News) With all the hype surrounding Drake and Future teaming up for What A Time To Be Alive, it appears Top Dawg Entertainment is not ready to cede any ground in the Hip Hop landscape. The label’s CEO Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith hinted on Twitter that TDE may release more music from Kendrick Lamar very soon.
If TDE fans are not able to get fresh tracks from K. Dot in the near future, they can at least expect something coming from Isaiah Rashad. Top Dawg also tweeted the Tennessee emcee will be dropping before the end of the year. Isaiah released his critically acclaimed project Cilvia Demo in 2014.
(AllHipHop News) Ash Cash stopped by the Doggie Diamonds Live show to discuss her father Anthony ‘Wolf’ Jones. The longtime friend and former bodyguard for Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs was murdered in 2003. His death was reportedly linked to a shootout with members of the Black Mafia Family (BMF).
So has Puff kept in contact with Wolf’s child? According to Cash, the answer is no. Only one former Bad Boy artist reaches out to her.
“Just Shyne does. I spoke to Shyne not too long ago,” said Cash. “That’s really it. Shyne is the only person that has reached out.”
The lack of communication or support from Puffy and others does not seem to bother Cash. The battle rapper also expressed her willingness to push her career on her own.
“I’m content in my lane. I feel like I’m opening doors for myself, by myself with my own name,” said Cash.
Jones was Combs’ bodyguard at the time of a violent club incident in 1999 involving Shyne. All three men were tried on various counts following the shooting at a New York City club.
Puffy was acquitted on five counts of criminal possession and bribery. Jones was acquitted of criminal possession of a weapon in the second and third degrees. Shyne was convicted of attempted murder, assault, and reckless endangerment. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison and released in 2009.
(AllHipHop News) Drake was not done with Meek Mill yet. After hitting the MMG star with the songs “Charged Up” and “Back To Back” in July, Drizzy took a third shot at Meek on “30 For 30 Freestyle.” The track appears on his joint mixtape What A Time To Be Alive with Future. Some are even suggesting Future also threw a jab at Meek on the project.
Fans of the OVO founder and the Freebandz Gang leader decided to get in on the action as well. Thousands of Instagram users flooded Meek’s IG comment sections with diamond emojis. The pictures represent the cover art for What A Time To Be Alive.
Meek has not officially responded to Drake or Future, but a caption on one IG pic read, “#f*ckboyseason lol.” The message was posted overnight after What A Time To Be Alive dropped.
The highly anticipated Drake and Future joint mixtape finally dropped last night, and one fellow performer does not seem to be feeling What A Time To Be Alive. In the middle of #WATTBA trending worldwide, Kid Cudi posted a tweet that many people on the interwebs saw as a slight diss towards Drizzy Hendrix.

In 1975, Darthard Perry, a former FBI agent, went on record and explained the lengths that the government goes to examine and study African American culture. The man, a self-proclaimed “infiltrator,” speaks – seemingly with pride – on how he helped tear down Black organizations and how the culture was flipped back on the people. “You can take their culture and use it against them,” he says in the video. The video is marveling to watch, albeit disgusting. The agent was interviewed by the legendary journalist Gil Nobel (RIP).
Documentary by Gil Noble on the intentional destruction of Black America by the FBI using infiltration, counter-intelligence programs and drugs. From Marcus Garvey to Paul Robeson to Martin Luther King to Malcolm X to Fred Hampton, to the Black Panthers to heroin and crack, the FBI has worked to destroy.
The watch the whole documentary, see below.
According to lore Darthard Perry (a.k.a. Ed Riggs) died broke and in full obscurity.
Earlier this evening, Drake premiered the What a Time to Be Alive, the highly anticipated collaborative project with Future, exclusively on OVOSOUND RADIO. The mixtape have received positive views from fans and the internet in general, but has also received comments on one of Future’s lines on the song “Live From the Gutter”. The Atlanta rapper has allegedly thrown shade at Meek Mill by rapping in the song “You’re just a battle rapper, I’m an official trapper”, with some twitter fans catching the lyrics and possible taunt.
"You just a battle rapper, I'm an official trapper." – Future. Sigh Meek Mill can't catch a break.
Although there isn’t a confirmed beef between Meek Mill and Future, the Philadelphia rapper may have thrown shade at him during his performance at Made in America a couple of weeks ago when he told his DJ to turn Future’s music off.
Continuing his new Sunday Service series, Jeezy returns with a brand new banger titled Church To The Streets. Produced by Zaytoven. His forthcoming album is set to arrive November 13th.

Chief Keef’s Los Angeles hologram show was once again shut down due to permit issues with the scheduled venue, the Fonda Theatre. According to Billboard, Keef’s Hologram performance did not last even two songs before being shut down by L.A.P.D. officials. FilmOn.com and Hologram USA owner Aiki David released an official statement on the third shutdown of Chief Keef’s concert stoppage:
“The city of Los Angeles was clearly doing the dirty work of corporate giant AEG by shutting down Chief Keef’s festival. It was shaping up to be a great night at the lot and we had 80,000 fans watching on FilmOn.com. We are so p##### off we are planning to build a permanent venue for hologram concerts next to AEG’s Fonda Theater.”
The concert was officially stopped due to David’s company not acquiring the correct permit to hold the event. FilmOn also did not inform officials in time enough to receive a confirmed approval of the Bang 3 Hologram Fest. This is the third time that Chief Keef’s Hologram concert was shutdown by police officials this, following two canceled concerts that were scheduled in Indiana and Keef’s hometown, Chicago.
Recently, French magazine Clique was able to get a hold of Young Thug to do a brief interview with him. In the interview, Thugga was asked about the presidential debate, specifically Republican candidate Donald Trump’s popular run. In distaste, the “Lifestyle” rapper responded with “What the f*ck laws is he about to pass?” and then responded “They ain’t gonna ever let a punk win no mother*ckin election”.
Thugga also took some time to talk about what would happened if he was president. “My first thing to do would be [to] free everybody in jail”, says the Atlanta rapper, “10 or 15 years of a n*gga’s life is [enough]. He deserves a chance.”
Aside from his political views, Young Thug talked about working with Kanye West and an idea of doing a project with the Chicago rapper. He even talked about being in the studio and making tons of music with West. Check out the video below:
Last night I attended a birthday party for one of my cousins. Although the party was adult-themed, there were of course a few kids in attendance. Long story short, with a twelve year old being responsible for the DJ duties, I got the chance to see what the kids were listening to these days on their select Pandora stations. The age of a music critic is akin to dog years, but everything I heard seemed to mesh together as some sort of extended techno-pop beat with various crooners taking center stage. The songs were catchy, but the singers seemed to lack a certain thing to turns a song into music. What they were missing was passion.
I must admit, Nick de la Hoyde does not have a name that easily rolls off the tongue like T-Pain or R.Kelly. However, like those latter folks, he makes the same type of jams that inevitably become stuck in one’s head. I wrote about Nick in this very same column at the beginning of the year, following the release of his single “The Longest Way,” and later, “By My Side.” Aside from AHH, he has also been featured in a significant number of online magazines including The Source, Pop Scoop, Essentially Pop, The Examiner, Shockya.com, PopCityLifeMusic, WeDoItForTheLoveOfMusic, and All Access Magazine. Despite the fact that Nick makes pop-sounding songs, there is a clear degree of passion in his work, and the release of his appropriately titled Passion EP is further proof.
Passion is an impressive debut EP. Nick’s real-talk-centric lyrical content is only rivaled by an equally emotive sonic mesh, combining the talents of brothers and production duo Joseph & John de la Hoyde as well as renowned Hip Hop producer Lemoyne ‘LA’ Alexander. The result is a unique melding pot; pop and alternative rock evoking visions of the future while still deeply embedded in the past. As I touched on before, “By My Side” is a testament to this blend, combining a light-hearted groove with a deeply moving hook to express Nick’s affliction with music as a source of both passion and expression.
You can stream the entire Passion EP below.
And as always, make sure to follow Nick de la Hoyde’s movements on the interwebs:
Earlier this year, Dr. Dre has recently signed a new white rapper to his Aftermath label. The artist, Texas native Justin Mohrle, was discovered after Dre heard a demo with his former Dallas protege The D.O.C., and soon moved to California work with the legendary producer on Dre’s latest project Compton.
Mohrle and Dre have done 13-hour sessions at Record One studio in Los Angeles. The D.O.C. told D Magazine that Dre is planning to release the songs him and Mohrle made as a unit.
“That’s the way the house is rolling. We’re putting all of our energy toward building another classic for The Good Doctor. Then he’s going to help us take time to help us build a classic for the youngster.
So far, Mohrle has already worked on Compton with many artists including BJ the Chicago Kid and King Mez.However, he has also been working with Gwen Stefani.
A weird fan encounter happened at Patti Labelle’s show in Vancouver Friday night. The fan started to strip on stage, and Labelle warned him that she’s not having it. The legendary singer ended up throwing him off stage after he continued to strip on stage. Eventually, security rushed in to kick the the guy out.
During her warning, Labelle mentioned Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus as examples of artists she is not like. Like many singers including Grace Jones, the Labelle has criticized the modern popular artists in pop culture. Check out the video below:
During New York Fashion Week, Kanye West had a show for his new addition to the adidas clothing line “Yeezy Season”. The line has had mixed criticism, but actor Ice-T threw major shade at the different outfits.
