Are These Cryptic Messages 50 Cent's Response To Rick Ross "Biggest L" Claim?

(AllHipHop News) Rick Ross was once again asked about his longstanding feud with 50 Cent. During a recent Rolling Stone interview, the Maybach Music Group boss expressed his belief that 50 took the biggest loss of his career during their beef.

It appears 50 has offered his response to Ross in two Instagram posts. In one, the Queens native wrote, “Lol give me some of what ever he on. 'Straight Outta Compton' & Will Smith Snubbed For 2016 Oscar Nominations

(AllHipHop News) The 88th Academy Awards will not include the blockbuster biopic Straight Outta Compton competing for Best Picture. The Oscar nominations were announced this morning (January 14), and the F. Gary Gray directed motion picture was not included among the films in the most coveted category.

The movie about the rise of legendary rap group N.W.A was well received by critics. It also dominated the box office, becoming the highest grossing music biographical picture of all time.

Gray and the movie’s actors were not recognized with Oscar nominations either. Straight Outta Compton did earn a nod for Best Original Screenplay. The other nominees in that category include Bridge of SpiesEx MachinaInside Out, and Spotlight.

Some film experts expected rapper/actor Will Smith to make the Oscar list for Best Actor for his role in Concussion. Smith was nominated for Best Actor at the Golden Globe Awards, and he took home the Hollywood Actor Award at the Hollywood Film Awards.

However, Smith did not make the final cut at the Academy Awards. Bryan Cranston (Trumbo), Matt Damon (The Martian), Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant), Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs), and Eddie Redmayne (The Danish Girl) will compete for Best Actor.

Rick Ross: I'm The Biggest L 50 Cent Ever Took

(AllHipHop News) William “Rick Ross” Roberts and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson have been going back-and-forth at each other for years. At the time their conflict began, 50 was one of the most dominant forces in rap music, and Ross was at the start of his career. The ultimate result of that first round of feuding was Rozay rising in the ranks and 50 having to pay Ross’ ex-girlfriend $7 million for using her sex tape as a weapon in the beef.

Ross believes that outcome caused 50 to suffer the worst loss of his career. In a new interview with Rolling Stone, the Black Market album creator touched on his beef with the G-Unit leader.

Ross said:

At this point, my relationship with Curtis is really amusing, due to the fact that I’m the biggest L he ever took. I’m still enjoying life. My kids love me. I’m blessed. And when it comes to Curtis, it’s just unfortunate. I’m not happy that his boxing company went under. I’m not happy that his clothing company went under. I’m not happy his record label went under. I’m not happy that he went bankrupt. I’m not happy that he doesn’t have a relationship with his son. That’s not something to be happy about. But to see him parading around, still able to hold his head up every day, with all of that weighing on him — that makes me happy. I admire him for being able to hold his head up in a city that has revoked all of his passes. We’ve had a quite enjoyable past, and I still smile when I see him.

Oschino Talks State Property's Beginning & Signing To Jay Z On The Spot (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Back in the early 2000’s, State Property was the hottest crew to emerge from Philadelphia. SP member Oschino recently spoke with Mikey T The Movie Star about how the group started.

[ALSO READ: Beanie Sigel Talks Possibly Reuniting With State Property (VIDEO)]

According to Oschino, State Property leader Beanie Sigel did not know many of the rappers in the group when they were first put together. Chino claimed most of them did not even know what the others looked like prior to connecting under Jay Z’s Roc-A-Fella Records.

“We went to Hot 97 and rapped. People thought we knew each other, but we didn’t,” said Oschino. “I knew Freeway and Peedi, but I didn’t know Beans.”

It was determined Sigel would head the faction since he was the most well known at the time, but Oschino revealed he actually signed to the Roc without Beanie’s help. The “Jail Letters” spitter and some of his friends were given the chance to rap for Jay, and he ended up earning a contract moments after rhyming for the Brooklyn boss.

“Jay Z walked in and said, ‘I got 5 minutes.’ I was like, ‘How the f*ck he got 5 minutes? It’s like ten people.’ So I just said, ‘I gotta go first,'” explained Oschino. “I just jumped up, rapped, and didn’t stop. I ain’t give nobody [else] five minutes. I got signed that day. I just boguarded brody, and got signed on the spot.”

Drake Used To Ghostwrite For Dr. Dre?

Wow.

You learn something new every day. Apparently, Drake and his dude 40 used to work for Dr. Dre as writers! Around 2005, a 19-year old Drake was paid about $10,000 to write. He was also housed in a posh neighborhood. The term over there at Aftermath was short and Drake when about his business. This was three years before the homie Drizzy dropped So Far Gone, his seminal album. About that time at Aftermath? Drake said, “It was some of the most strenuous militant s**t I’ve ever done. But no usable songs came out of it. When I think of how he worked us, it’s no wonder he didn’t get anything out of it. It was just writers in a room churning out product all day long.” This quote is apparently from John Seabrook’s book, The Song Machine: Inside The Hit Factory.

The Hip-Hop Response To The 2016 State Of The Union Address

chuck creekmur aka jigsawEarlier this week, President Barack Obama and rapper Kendrick Lamar touted their get-together at the White House under the banner of the My Brother’s Keeper initiative. The touching event was widely praised on social media, with Black Twitter and others noting, “First person in the White House with cornrows,” and more. Epic. Mind you, Kendrick is the rapper I said had the “Blackest album of the year 2015.” And now, just look at him and the crew on the red carpet in b-boy stances. Priceless.

Last night, POTUS offered his final State of the Union address, and he offered a populist message of optimism, positivity, and potential. Going into it, we knew it would be a different message than those from the past, and his timely speech addressed a myriad of topics, including terrorism, wage disparities, and employment.

Look, I’m proud to have had an African American president. Last night underscored that. I am less proud of how America has treated African Americans, especially during his tenure. Some of my friends are fierce, unwavering critics of the president. I am not. I have been fairly consistent from day one: we have to do for self if we expect true change to begin. Begin.

There is a powerful constituency that the president answers for. Black, Brown, and poor people lack that certain je ne sais quoi when it comes to colossal, global moments like the State of the Union. Oddly, matters of race were not mentioned at all in his commentary on America.

Like President Obama, of course I want to focus on our future. But the realities of the present and the past keep tugging on my coattails, hanging on like a precarious, invisible noose.

Tamir Rice, 12, comes to mind immediately. 9-year old Tyshawn Lee comes right afterwards. The 16-year old female student attacked by Officer Ben Fields. There are many more. As a father and a man, this is the future I have to contend with – one that will leave me with scars and memories of all that has happened. I won’t bother to regurgitate the facts and disparities, because, by now, you should know. We may have won the White House, but we lost the veil that had been thinly shielding us from the hatred that still exists in this country. Statistically speaking, it really sucks to be a POC in America these days. #facts.

Hours before the SOTU event, it wasn’t Kendrick but another unapologetically Black rapper named Karega Bailey that I listened to. Karega is the sort of rapper people say they want, but who rarely gets the backing like artists of a more commercial variety. Why? I’m not sure. He’s an educator. A married man of principle. He happens to rap about what’s going on…for real, for real. His new record, “No Indictment” (listen here), serves as an example. I stared in the mirror and drifted off as I listened to the song. In my mind’s eye I saw faces of people killed, crushed, mutilated by the system. The kids. The poor. The defenseless.

And then suddenly, I was catapulted back in the present. Now.

Understand, this crisis facing Black America is not only about police brutality. This is not only about marches and brazen acts of civil disobedience. This is not only about the school-to-prison pipeline. This is not only about wage disparities. This is not only about the complete loss of forward, financial motion. This isn’t only about militarized police forces, the killing of unarmed civilians, unacknowledged inner city violence, or even failing school systems.

This is about a loss of hope…the utter deterioration of faith. Fear.

The overall message of the SOTU was one of renewed expectation that something phenomenal is about to happen within America, even though that grim list of obstacles says otherwise. “Democracy breaks down when the average person feels their voice doesn’t matter,” POTUS said. This is precisely what has happened.

A recent study by Peabody College at Vanderbilt has revealed the grit and tenacity that African Americans take through life, school, and their pursuit of the American Dream ends up being a lengthy war of attrition that results in “alarming occurrences of anxiety, stress, depression, and thoughts of suicide, as well as a host of physical ailments like hair loss, diabetes, and heart disease.” (Shout out to  Ebony O. McGee for revealing what we have been living.) Hell, I have my bouts with depression. But a friend of mine never fails to remind me of the ancestors and what they endured. And that helps some of the madness subside.

Don’t think I’m crazy, but I feel like I am able to see a renewed spark within President Obama. Most of us that support him have seen it on one recent occasion or another. That’s why the moment with Kendrick Lamar and the accompanying images are so fitting for these times we’re living in. In that moment, POTUS signified to us all that the White House was for EVERYONE – even a young, Black, and gifted lyricist kid from Compton.

kendrick lamar barack obama

Some things you cannot fake. For some, that meeting was more important than the SOTU speech. For others, it was a reminder that in a year or so, he’s going to exit the big, White House. It’s a frightening thought, because we have presidential candidates that would really like to set us back, deep into the doctrines and days of slavery.

The world is big and the issues facing the Nation seem insurmountable. I know people that were blocks away from the attack in Paris. I know people that dodged bullets in Ferguson. I’ve met most of the parents of the prominent cases of kids killed by police. I believe we need the same resolve our predecessors had if we are going to set things straight for future generations.

This means business. This means clean(er) living. This means raising educated, ambitious kids that #staywoke. This means maintaining a spiritual base. This means fending off the enemy while building your fortress. This means Black Lives Matter even when they don’t matter to the masses.

We have to stand up and stop cowering in fear. We have to stay engaged in the process even when our valiant African American leader is no longer there.

DJ Khaled Snapchats His Black Amex By Accident – Loses $80K In 30 Seconds

DJ Khaled made a big costly mistake on Snapchat.

He flashed his American Express Black Card on the highly trafficked social media app and lost about $80k in roughly 30 seconds.

“I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life and this is just. Another one,” said Khaled in another interview with Snapchat

People took his card number and immediately started making purchases.  No snitching be damned, Khaled is taking it straight to the law and will file a law suit to Snapchat to locate the offending buyers,

“People who bought something with my card. All purchases are trackable and you will be arrested. Congratulations, you played your self.” he concluded.

Bill Cosby: Between Pills & P#######.

Everybody knows some part of Bill Cosby. Stretching back to his stand-up comedy shows and then his appearance on TV in 1965’s “I Spy”—and the whole “Fat Albert” cartoons (1972-1979). We saw him on the Silver Screen in “Uptown Saturday Night,” “Let’s Do It Again,” “California Suite,” “Ghost Dad,” “The Meteor Man” and his crowning achievement, “The Cosby Show.” Indeed, Cosby, a black man was “America’s “Dad.” He (and the show) represented the best of what black folk had to offer America. In some people’s (black & white) minds the show was unreal. Can you believe that? A black doctor married to a black lawyer raising very well-spoken and well-behaved chirr’ren? What utopian world were they living in? Oh, that’s right, Hollywood!

And then the fall from grace…

Unlike the mass majority of people who have an opinion about the Bill Cosby rape saga, I took the time to read the evidence—41 women who all claim that Bill Cosby raped them, mostly by slipping them a “mickie”—quaaludes, Spanish Fly (a supposed aphrodisiac for women)—what you young hip-hop heads call “Molly.”

The basic question being asked is, “Why now? Why come forward after all these years?” Hold that thought.

No question in my mind. By today’s standards, Bill Cosby is/was a pedophile and a rapist, but by the sexual standards of yesteryear, Cosby was quite normative. (Read on and I’ll explain oh impatient one!) Tain’t no way in hell that this many women are lying on him and if you read each case, Bill had a definite modus operandi (way of committing these crimes). There is a pattern. Bill used his fame and wealth and promises of helping careers to get these women into compromising positions whereby they would be assaulted. What’s crazy to me is that with all of Cosby’s fame & money, why did he need to drug women for p####? Hell, I’ve been broke-as-a-joke, riding around in a 1967 Dodge Dart with Flintstone brakes making $2.75 per hour and still pulled baddies back-in-the-day! I guess his moufpiece game was lacking or his dick was small and drugging a chick would take the sting off his UN-endowment? I don’t know…

Today, they call them “groupies,” “star-struck,” “dick-riders,” “Stans,” “tricks,” and “thirsty.” Indeed, many of these women were out to get what they could from ol’ Billy. Cosby was the ultimate “come up!” No doubt about that! But Cosby was on that b#######! He knew he was famous. He knew he was wealthy and he knew that all these pretty women showing him attention weren’t attracted to his Jello-pudding-pop-broad-nosed-ass! He knew that they were there to “run his pockets” (gold digging) and use him as a steppingstone to further their “careers.”

This ain’t blaming the victims either! Indeed, Cosby ran through raped them! The minors that Cosby allegedly raped—they get a pass because they were underage—minors who were probably starstruck as all get-out! But many of these grown-ass women? Playboy Bunnies, actresses, upstart/super models? Cosby was their ticket to fame & fortune. They lowered their morals & values and brushed aside red flags which would indicate that Cos had ulterior motives other than elevating their careers. From reading the reports, some of these ladies opted to take drugs from Cosby while in his private company—dressing rooms, hotel rooms and at his private home without Camile (Cos’s wifey) at home. Cosby was not a medical doctor! “Here! Take this. It’ll relax you,” he would say. (And they did. Side-eye)

So why now? Why wait so long to bring rape allegations?

This is where I side with these women (no matter what their motives for involving themselves in Cosby’s life). Cosby’s alleged crimes started in the 1960’s and ended in 2000’s. For 40 years Bill was able to weave his web of raping chicks without repercussions. Why? Because of the climate of rape. Many of these women were raped in the 60’s & 70’s. What was the culture of rape back then? Terrible! Many women who were raped back then kept quiet because the onus/burden of proof would be on the victim. Our sexist society back then really s###### on rape victims! As one lawyer website writes about prosecuting rape cases in the 60’s, 70’s:

“Prosecuting rape cases was extraordinarily difficult for the victim. The culture and beliefs surrounding rape made legislators, prosecutors, police and jurors believe that, when a rape occurred, it must have been the woman’s fault. She must have consented or wanted it. The law also required corroboration by another witness… that the victim tried to fight off the attacker… sexual history and reputation were fair game for cross- examination. And if the assault did not occur between strangers, it was not viewed as rape. What is now known as ‘date rape’ was not acknowledged.”

In the 70’s (my formative teenage years) we heard all about Spanish Fly. This was the date rape drug of choice and young men were encouraged to slip this pill into a woman’s drink. The culture did not dictate that anything was wrong with this practice. Men got stank (sex) by hook or crook back then! I was just lucky enough to be one pretty m########### who needed not the aid of Spanish Fly or any other mind-altering drug to get some coochie. Oh, but I had white friends who were down for the pill game! At 15 years old I had an older white friend named Eddy (he was around 24) who had quaaludes & Spanish Fly on deck should I need some. He told me all about the affects that these drugs would have on women and the p####! (Can you believe this white boy even told me I’d be eating p#### one day? In da 70’s when p#### eating c########## was strictly a white boy thing! Not nann n#### in da hood would ever admit to licking the nappy dugout in the ’70’s! Well, I admit it. Eddy was right about that!)

Bill Cosby continued operating under antiquated, archaic and outdated sexual rules. Quaaludes & Spanish Fly were socially acceptable p####### hunting bait back then, but by the mid to late ’80’s our society shifted its compassion-towards-women-mentality. And, today, the evidence is very evident. Example?

We jumped all over Rick Ross for rapping, “Put a Molly all in her champagne/She didn’t even know it/I took her home and enjoyed that/She didn’t even know it!” Rick Ross could’ve easily been this generation’s Bill Cosby, but bloggers like myself made him aware of his faux pas (misstep). S### sounded like date rape and we jumped all over him!

The term “date rape”—which is the category we’d have to throw Bill Cosby in is a relatively new term, which, while Cos was doing said rapes would have been oblivious to. According to Wikipedia, the phrase “date rape” was first used in 1975 in a book called, ‘Against Our Will: Men, Women and Rape by Susan Brownmiller and then in 1980 and 1982 by Mademoiselle & Ms. magazines.

What Bill Cosby “allegedly” did was nasty, despicable and downright wrong, but, operating in the American sexual culture of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s—he was doing nothing abnormal and these women knew this, thus their continued silence until now. Slipping chicks quaaludes, Spanish Fly, Benadryl, LSD, etc. were all the rage back in those days! Cosby was part of a culture that taught men to conquer women by any means necessary. That’s just what it was and is!

The best way to explain it is that society evolves. What seemed okay and alright in those days is just not acceptable today. A famous person (like Rick Ross) who slips a chick a molly today is subject to ridicule, public embarrassment and loss of endorsement deals (like Reebok). A famous person (like Cosby) slipping a chick a quaalude or Spanish Fly circa 1975 was no big thingy. It was par for the course! It was socially acceptable behavior.

Bill Cosby is simply a product of a sexual society gone awry. He should’ve given up the mickie game in 1979, but having gotten away with it for so long caused him to bring that drug game into the new millennium.

Everybody’s a victim—the 41 women as well as Bill Cosby. Yet, the blame should lay squarely at the feet of our sexist, misogynistic and homophobic society, which creates “Bill Cosbys” (men that would trick women for sex) and women, that would use their body and looks to entice the basest desires of men for a selfish reward (in many of these cases, careers).

Bill Cosby has been made a pariah and anathema. His great works will be stricken from the annals of entertainment all because of what? Women looking for a “come up” and Bill looking for a “lay down.” It is the ultimate folly & fuckery of the entertainment industry. Cosby had a cache of pills for the p####### at his disposal and like a rat to cheese, most of these women fell for the bait.

Indeed, rapists need to be castrated—made eunuchs—and then killed, but this isn’t the case with Bill Cosby. He made a lot of wrong decisions based on societal sexual norms and each of these women made a wrong decision, based on societal sexual norms. That’s how I see it.

Got Bars: Bill Cosby Accuser Records Rap Track After D.A. Tosses Her Case (Audio)

(AllHipHop News) Last Thursday (Jan. 7), the Los Angeles District Attorney’s office decided not  to pursue two alleged cases against Bill Cosby. Chloe Goins, is the woman at the center of one of those alleged assaults. Her contested account is said to have happened at the Playboy Mansion. She claimed that she awoke with a sticky substance on her beasts — and supposedly discovered Cosby at the foot of her bed masturbating while he sucked on her foot.

[ALSO READ: Los Angeles D.A. Scraps 2 Supposed Sexual Assaults Against Bill Cosby]

Given that Cosby had a verified alibi, Goins’ cased was tossed out of court. She has since laid down her frustrations in a new Rap song. The novice rapper is using  the moniker Chlo-Chlo. She has presumably beat up the booth and waxed poetically about her frustrations regarding the alleged incident, this according to the Daily Mail.

An agitated Goins raps, “…It’s a trip, you kept on for all these years / Too bad your voices were women with voices to use / It’s not going away it’s time to face the facts / I can guarantee that you’ll never make a comeback…” Later she questions, “What you gonna do Bill, popping pills on the girls when they come through…”

FRESH HEAT: China Mac ft. Dave East – "Going Down"

Chinatown NYC based rapper China Mac starts off 2016 with “Going Down” featuring Mass Appeal and Harlem bred rapper Dave East. It’s breath of freshly polluted New York street air – but we like it. The two MC’s opened up on the Layzee Dee produced track and it brings up back to a great era of Hip-Hop. For real though, is there any rapper that’s hotter than Dave East out East? A side note, if you do your research China Mac has been around for a while and has ties to one of Hip-Hop’s favorite Asian-American rappers Jin.

Back in the day, China Mac was well known for having done a 10 year prison bid for shooting one of Jin’s associates in a restaurant, then he fled and was detained by the police in Seattle. Check out his interview with VladTV a few years ago below the song. The homie is as street as it gets when it comes to that beef.
