Check Out Will Smith’s Live Performance of “Fiesta” At the Latin Grammys

Will Smith surprised many fans after he released his song “Fiesta,” his first official single since the 2000’s. Recently, the actor, formerly known as tapper the Fresh Prince, performed the new song live at this year’s Latin Grammys. Jada Pinkett Smith was also in the house to see her husband perform. The performance definitely marks the return of the Will Smith in music, a venture that the star hasn’t been a part of in over a decade.

50 Cent’s Ex Is Dating Jordin Sparks Ex

Jason Derulo, the singer, is now dating 50 Cent‘s ex-model girlfriend Daphne Joy, according to reports.

Joy and Jason linked up overseas and got it poppin’, sources are saying. The couple met a few weeks ago in the UK and immediately hit it off. They have not looked back! This is 50’s ex-girlfriend. Joy and 50 Cent have a kid together. I thought they were still a couple, but NOPE. Jason Derulo is best known for dating Jordin Sparks, but I know him better for falling.

As you can see, it wasn’t actually him.

Anyway, 50 Cent shrugged at the notion of his ex dating the singer. In the comments section of an Instagram post, he said, “Somebody’s got do it.”

The Jacka Returns On First Full Project Since Passing

When the Jacka died in a shooting exactly 2 months after the release of his last project The Jacka: What Happened To The World, on Feb. 2, 2015, nobody knew when they would hear new music from the late Bay Area talent.

Now fans of the longtime rapper can hear his new music as one of his mainstay producers, DJ Child is releasing the music in a full length project also featuring Husalah of the Mob Figaz.

Producing for such artists as Beanie Sigel, Busta Rhymes, Dead Prez, Bun B, Black Thought of the Roots, Sizzla, Dee-1, Capleton, Reek Da Villain, Midnite, Mitchy Slick, KRS-One, Mos Def and more, DJ Child is bringing back to the life the music of one of Hip-Hop’s fallen but never forgotten soldiers.

This will be the first full length release since The Jacka’s passing and the second Jacka release since his death. The first release was a song in collaboration with Wiz Khalifa’s TGOD member Berner on “Drought Season pt.3,” so this is the first project we get from the late homie. RIP The Jacka!

T-Pain Performs New Song

It’ds been a while since T-Pain dropped new music, but expect a new project hopefully soon. Recently, at NPR’s headquarters in Washington, D.C., the “Buy U a Drank” singer performed a new song through their video series “NPR Frontrow.” Pain also happened to not use autotune in the new track, with a live band to support the singer.

Check out the new track, titled “Officially Yours” below.

I still wanted to release some new music for my supporters… so here is ITMP2! With CSP2 only a few weeks away hopefully these 3 joints will hold you guys over! Thanks for being patient with me! I guarantee it will be worth the wait!!!”

UH..YIKES! “They” Saying 2Chainz Did This…

I don’t claim to be able to confirm this information, but the video suggests that 2Chainz may have watched a women get lulled into a date rape. Now, this video is labeled 2Chainz, but I was not able to see where this originated online. So, if it is not him, he needs to send a tweet to his millions of followers and let it be known. Until then, women are going hard at the Atlanta native over this video:

Bruh…here is what is happening.

I’ma guess…there’s more to the story!

Lil Wayne Shooter Gets 20 Years

The man convicted of shooting at Lil Wayne’s tour bus has been sentenced to 20 years in jail.

Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, 25, pleaded guilty on Friday to shooting at two of Wayne’s tour buses while they traveled on Interstate 295 in April.

Winfrey, known as Peewee Roscoe, was found guilty on six charges, he must serve 10 years in prison and another 10 on probation for his crimes.

The man shot at the buses, which held about a dozen people, on April 26 at roughly 3 a.m. Nobody was hurt.
Winfrey allegedly acted to gain “street red” with Cash Money CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams and Young Thug. Birdman denied involvement.

Winfrey once worked with Young Thug and appeared in a Thug video with the gun that was apparently used in the shooting.

Review & Stream: Jadakiss – Top 5 Dead Or Alive

Signed to Bad Boy in the mid-90’s as a founding member of The Lox, Jadakiss has seen it all. He’s from the same ‘hood as DMX and the streets love him. As one of the few artists today that recorded and toured with Biggie, Jada brings a unique perspective to the game that few rappers are able to elicit or duplicate.

The point: Jada has earned his stripes from the streets, to the beef, to the hits, to the legendary freestyles. But that being said – Does this project matter? Will it actually impact Jada’s legacy? Are people just focused on the trap and the turn up?

All those questions make this project a must listen for Hip-Hop heads regardless of if you think project deserves a rating of 7/10, 5/10 or a 10/10. Whatever you think, this project is a must listen, because if someone like Jadakiss can’t put out an album and get support, where is Hip-Hop? Remember when Jada did the Reebok commercials with Iverson?

Perhaps Jada said it best on his track “Kill” featuring Lil Wayne when he said, “As far as the rap game goes, I’m the achilles.” It is true though, what would rap be without Jadakiss, his raspy voice and his signature “HeHe!!!!”

But while the game needs Jada, on this project he showed he also needs help making the hits. To that point, Jada has a ton of features on this project. While he has taken the time to reach back to work with hot younger talent for this effort, he also focused on working with artists from his generation like Swizz Beatz, Styles P, Diddy, Akon, Young Buck and Sheek Louch.

By teaming up with Future, Wiz Khalifa and Nipsey Hussle, Jadakiss is sure to garner attention from younger fans, but is this really what you want to hear from Jadakiss? No diss to Jada or anyone on the album, but do you want to hear Jadakiss or everyone else? This is what the labels and Jada believe will sell, so this is what we get.

The list of features on the project are lengthy as Diddy, Future, Akon, Swizz Beatz, Lil Wayne, Styles P, Ne-Yo, Nipsey Hussle, Wiz Khalifa, Jeezy, Young Buck, Sheek Louch, Nas and several acts signed to Jadakiss all join this album. It’s a lot to get out just saying it.  Unfortunately that leaves us wanting more from Jadakiss, but we understand the circumstances, and are happy he blessed us with yet ANOTHER solid effort.

Standout songs on the album include the Future track “You Can See,” “Y.O. (Youth Offenders)” ft Akon and “Kill” ft Lil Wayne. They all convey that Jadakiss understands where he is at in the game. Jada even gives us a 2015 version of “Why” called “Man in the Mirror,” one of the few solo songs on the 18 track effort.

The album art for this project is a sculpted bust of Jada from the shoulders up drawing from the NFL’s Hall of Fame statues seen in Canton, Ohio. Jada found a way to hold up the concept on this album of Top 5 Dead or Alive, and with so many features, its amazing it still worked. One of the greatest parts about this album is that the title isn’t a question, it’s a statement, one that we are cool with because Jadakiss means that much to the culture.

Tyga And Kylie Jenner Are Finished!

Tyga just celebrated his birthday this week and lost his lady too.

It seemed like the evidence was on the wall as Kylie Jenner was not present for the rapper’s 26th birthday.

TMZ reports:

Sources connected with the couple tell us they split Thursday, just after Kylie returned from Australia. One source says, “It’s something Tyga did,” but the source would not be specific. Sources connected with Tyga say Kylie’s the one who pulled the plug and it had something to do with “pressure from the Kardashians.” Kendall was out Thursday night at dinner and we’re told she was upset and had harsh words about Tyga.

THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKING JAY PART 2. All Is Well That Ends Well?

In fitting fashion, THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKING JAY PART 2 picks up right where THE HUNGER GAMES: MOCKING JAY PART 1 left off with the immediate aftermath of the horrible and unpredictable ways that war and the mental and physical violence that defines it irrevocably affects people. If anything, from the start of the series, THE HUNGER GAMES has been a very personal treatise on the politics of war and what people are capable of doing – both good and bad – under it’s influence. As such, it is sadly but eerily fitting that the final installment of this series is being released when the world is experiencing such turmoil with the #blacklivesmatter movement, terrorist attacks in France, Africa and the Middle East, as well as the torrents of refugees pouring across Europe, weathering international waters off the coast of Asia and seeking asylum here in America to escape civil horrors that do not pale when compared to the terrors suffered in fictional Panem. Yet despite the worry of MOCKING JAY PART 2 seeming too hollow or too movie magic contrived due to these realities, the movie soars. MOCKING JAY PART 2 works winningly as a highly entertaining end to a series with characters that we have come to care about. It also works extremely accurately as a parable of warning. If we can’t learn as a global community to strengthen the connections that join us and release our grip on the differences that divide us, we may soon find ourselves in our very own worst self made Panem – if we aren’t already halfway there.

The symbolism is done well in MOCKING JAY PART 2, but it isn’t with such a heavy hand that the visually cinematic art, action joie de vivre or the essence of the characters is lost in the making. After the initial shock of Peeta’s complete loss of identity, the audience goes on a dangerous nail-biting journey to see if Katniss can retrieve the real Peeta or if she must abandon him completely in her war against President Snow and all that is wrong in the world of Panem. The symbolism lies in everything that the old Peeta represents for both Katniss and Panem at large – the gentleness and kindness that the Hunger Games’ looks to destroy in the name of a better more efficient society. Appropriately for fans and regular moviegoers alike, Katniss’s way of protecting and relocating a kinder gentler world as well as a kinder gentler Peeta is anything but non violent or vague. Also as MOCKING JAY PART 2 is truly an urban legends road movie from hell, in the bargain Katniss is constantly hunting the omnipresent but remote President Snow, played with deliciously craven duplicity by Donald Sutherland.

While the movie could get bogged down in an overly simplistic hunt for Snow as the root of all evil, MOCKING JAY doesn’t disappoint by taking the easy way out of the bigger issues of culpability in war.

For those who want to escape the weighty issues of the world, this is a movie that also delivers as a purely escapist action adventure survival of the fittest romp. Indeed, when at one point Katniss accuses Peeta of being nothing more than a “mutt”, the weight of the insult becomes all too real when we see the “movie magic” version of exactly what everyone is talking about.

Jennifer Lawrence is electric as the bluntly motivated Katniss, forced to make the best of untenable situations under the unblinking scrutiny of those who see her as something to be killed or revered. Josh Hutcherson is more nuanced and soulful as ever as Peeta, the man who can’t decipher reality from fantasy. Mahershala Ali does a great turn as the dutiful but moral Boggs, President Coin’s watchdog with a conscience. Jena Malone is satisfyingly acidic as Johanna, the tribute who can’t help hating Katniss for wanting to be her. Elizabeth Banks remains a brilliant concoction of female drag queen and postmodern lady in waiting to Lawrence’s heroine who could use a good shoulder to cry on if she didn’t always have to be the resident badass of the free world.

If any criticism could be waged against the film, it would be that Jeffrey Wright, always a brilliant actor to watch, doesn’t have much screen time. However, this criticism, as there is almost an over abundance of talented actors involved in MOCKING JAY PART 2, would be quite petty and frankly this film is just too good for that. MOCKING JAY PART 2 is the perfect end to a great series as well as a wonderful addition anyone’s Thanksgiving season must see in the theater list. Don’t miss it.

Did Future & Blac Chyna Strategically Set Releases On Ciara & Tyga’s Birthdays?

We barely know what’s real or fake in Hip Hop these days. Every day it seems like something is done for a publicity stunt. Are Rick Ross & Lira a real couple? Were Young Thug & Metro Boomin really beefing? Did Billboard purposely omit Tupac’s name to generate a buzz around their questionable list? You get our drift. Well now rumor has it that Blac Chyna faked her “Future” tattoo on Ciara’s birthday and Future released his “Rich Sex” video on Tyga’s birthday all for publicity and controversy. That is way too much of a coincidence don’t you think. SMH. Are you feeling the song and video?

Is Lil’ Wayne’s Alleged Side Chick A Scammer?

We just may understand why Christina Milian was crying over Lil’ Wayne on television. Well, not really, but his alleged side chick is allegedly a scammer! Christina says her and Lil’ Wayne’s relationship went downhill when she saw a picture of a woman in Wayne’s home. She said he denied it originally but later confessed. The woman Christina saw was “rapper” Sylver Karatz. If we aren’t mistaken, she used to run with Waka Flocka a few years back. A source claims Sylver is a known scammer that was busted for filing 24 false tax return claims and for theft of government funds. She also has to pay nearly $20,000 back to the Cincinnati Housing Authority for not disclosing her actual income. Dang it’s hard out here. Maybe she was just trying to get Wayne to save her. Apparently Sylver was taking shots at Milian with a caption under her photo that said,

“Love never dies.”

Christina Milian said the same thing about her love for Lil’ Wayne.

Well there’s another debate going on about where something in Hip Hop originated. Lil B & Bun B have agreed to disagree over where the “cooking dance” originated. Lil’ B believes he started it, but Bun reassures him that it started in Texas with Pimp C.

Lil B says,

“I admire and respect bun b fully and appreciate him and pimp c more than ever but on the lil b cooking dance he’s misinformed.”

Bun B replied saying,

“I respectfully agree to disagree with @lilbasedgod on this issue. But it’s all love on both sides.

Is Lil’ B delusional?

Did Rae Sremmurd Get Caught Up With Two Transgender Women?

Photo via Rae Sremmurd’s Instagram

Rumors began swirling that one of the members of Rae Sremmurd was dating transgender artist Sidney Starr based on a photo they took with each other. The messiest transgender “model” on the planet, Shanuna Brooks, posted a photo of her kissing on one of the members of the group as well. Swae Lee (one of the members of the group) commented under Shauna’s photo saying,

“If he knew you was a man he wouldn’t have did that trust.”

Shauna clapped back telling Rae Sremmurd to learn proper terms such as transgender not “man.” She also says RS weren’t calling Sidney a man the other night as they were allegedly trying to get her to come back to their hotel room. Rae Sremmurd told Baller Alert,

“If you see us and we don’t want to stop or take a picture , this is why. This is a man. I was stopping to take a picture with a fan. Don’t misconstrue a picture.

Does this make Rae Sremmurd “transphobic”?
