Photo via Diddy’s Instagram

Despite the fact that Diddy has six children with 3 different women, he is still not ready to walk down the aisle. While Diddy was on the promo run for his 3AM fragrance on “Watch What Happens Live”, he explained that he isn’t opposed to marriage, but he just isn’t ready.

“It’s the whole thing of…. I think you have to be ready for it. There’s somebody else’s heart involved and that’s a lot of responsibility. And I don’t want to be going to courts and having somebody interfere in my relationship so I rather just do the Goldie Hawn.”

Although there may not be any wedding bells anytime soon for Puffy, he is willing to enter an agreement that yields financial benefit in case things go wrong. Diddy calls it a “love contract”. Hmmmm we wonder if Cassie is in a love contract with Diddy.

George Zimmerman Involved In Shooting

A Florida man opened fire on George Zimmerman while they were driving in Lake Mary, FL.

It is reported that Zimmerman was driving in his SUV when he noticed a man was flashing his headlights behind him. When he looked, he noticed it was Matthew Apperson, who Zimmerman had allegedly threatened to kill during another incident on the road. Zimmerman fled but Apperson followed him and fired one shot into Zimmerman’s vehicle, which he later admitted.

Apperson claims that he fired the shot in self defense but Zimmerman’s lawyer, Don West, says that his client did not do anything to provoke him and did not show his weapon. The police also confirmed that Zimmerman never fired his weapon.

Zimmerman is being treated for minor injuries and Apperson has not been apprehended.

Gucci Mane Writes A Letter To His Fans

Gucci Mane has been locked down for almost two years after being arrested on weapon and drug charges in September of 2013. While incarcerated he has had time to reflect on his trials and tribulations and wants to let his fans know that he is changing for the better. He submitted a letter to his fans via XXL. Give it a read below.

I dropped my 1st album Traphouse ten years ago May 2005 I remember being proud and angry the day it was released. I was proud of the work I put in and the quality of the project but I was angry that someone had to be killed over a dispute about the rights to some of the contents of the album. 10 years later I reflect on how that day impacted my life and my legacy and I am grateful for all the fans that supported me then and still support me now. Every challenge and obstacle in my life has helped me to become who I am today and provided me with the tests to display my resilience. I hope my life showed someone somewhere that if you endure the storm you will eventually get your chance to shine. I never give up and I have grown and learned so much and still am eager to learn more. I look forward to showing the world how much I have grown and getting out and helping my community. I have been blessed with the opportunity to be a recording artist and help others get their chance to be heard. To my fans I love you all and I want you all to know I am motivated and will not let my past decide my future. I chose to not focus my attention on my negativities but on my dreams. I will keep on hurdling and keep on hustling. My liabilties I turn to assets and even my inconsistincies make me the unique person I am. I am focused and I will be returning soon very soon so get ready. If I had to change anything in the last 10 years I would not change one thing. Sincerely Guwop!

Chris Brown Will Not Press Charges Against Naked Intruder

Photo via Chris Brown’s Instagram

Chris Brown is now installing a top-of-the-line security system in his home to make sure he doesn’t come home to anymore naked strangers. It seems that his old security system wasn’t on when Amira Ayeb broke into his home. Chris Brown will also be hiring someone to house sit his home since the intruder was inside his home for 2 days. Luckily for Ayeb, Brown does not want to have her prosecuted. He thinks she needs help in the mental health department and believes because of this she shouldn’t go to jail.

Pusha T’s ‘King Push’ Will Not Be Released In June

It was previously reported that Pusha T’s sophomore solo effort, King Push, was scheduled to hit stores on June 30th. Hits Daily Double had the album’s  suspected release date listed but they were sadly mistaken.

One of Push’s reps told Hip-Hop Wired that project’s release date has still not been decided on.

The G.O.O.D Music rep said that he has raised the musicality for his second coming.

“Everybody’s gonna be really locked in and shocked to see how I’ve raised the level of musicality from My Name Is My Name to King Push, he told Rolling Stone.”

“Black Men (unarmed)” – Kool Keith, Inspectah Deck and Headkrack

Kool Keith, Inspectah Deck and Headkrack come together on “Black Men (unarmed)” to let their voices be heard on very pressing issues in American society today: The excessive force practiced by police officers that has resulted in the deaths of several African-American males. The three MCs question whether America is really, as sung in the chorus, “The Land of Freedom”, while encouraging listeners to examine the facts behind these fatal incidents and embark on a quest for justice:

“We just used the pen to express our feelings about the police brutality against Blacks that go way before there was color TVs. You would think cops would chill now that cameras are everywhere, but it’s like they’re auditioning for ‘NYPD Blue’ or ‘New York Undercover.’ They don’t give a f**k. S**t gotta stop.” – Kool Keith

Lil’ Jon Speaks At Oxford University About President Obama And More

Lil’ Jon visited England’s Oxford University, but not turn up with the students. The Crunk King answered a series of questions about President Barack Obama’s presidency, race and even Atlanta reality television shows, The Independent reports.

“I think Obama’s done a great job,” he said. “It takes time to restore an old historic car—you can’t just do it overnight. That’s how I look at the administration that came before Obama. He put a new engine in it, he put some new rims, got a paint job. He’s criticised, and at the end of today it’s because he’s black. The numbers don’t lie – unemployment is down, Obamacare is a great thing. I think Hillary is about it for 2016.”

As far as the future of race relations, he said he doesn’t know how it will be in the future but he does believe the revolution is being televised.

“It’s already happening – do you see what’s happening in the US right now? You just want to ask a crazy ass damn question.”

When asked about the slew of reality shows based in Atlanta, he said that “he hates them.”

“They’re not real. I can’t understand why people watch them. People are acting wild and crazy. I don’t like the way it represents black folks in general.”

The beatsmith said that when he was initially invited to the university, he was shocked.

“I thought it was a joke,” he said. “Am I being catfished? I was kind of speechless after I realized it was real…I’ve never been to a college and spoke.”

Guess What Jay Z Has In Store For His Tidal Concerts!

As you know, Jay Z is pushing TIDAL to the masses in a crazy way. The mogul rapper is setting up a pair of concerts that will highlight his b-sides, aka his lesser know hits. This is dope actually but I am hearing that Jigga Man (Remember that name?) has a trick up his expensive sleeve! I heard that Beanie Sigel and some of the Philly crew are going to make an appearance at the weekend shows! Whoo Whoo! You know, Beanie got shot and was in really bad shape for a minute there! It would be really ill to see Jay and Beans back in affect. I know collabs with Drake and Rick Ross are cool, but Beanies is A1 from Day 1! Ha!

I’m sure there is more but that’s all for now.

Zac Efron will also be shaking up the show as he will appear as the fourth Lyon son that no one knew about.

EXCLUSIVE: Jo Jo Capone Talks Objecting To Spike Lee’s “Chiraq” Movie + Working To End Gun Violence In Chicago

“Chicago not Chiraq” has been a rallying cry for many citizens of America’s third most populous city. The name “Chiraq” has been connected to Chicago as result of the high number of shootings in the locale over the last decade. While gun violence was up in 2014, it should be noted that last year the city recorded the lowest number of homicides since 1965.

Certain Chicago neighborhoods are still battling with an influx of illegal guns, and parts of the media continue to tag the town as a sanctuary of savagery. Up next famed director Spike Lee is aiming his cameras on the city for a movie with the working title “Chiraq.”

According to reports, Lee’s next film is a modern-day musical interpretation of the ancient Greek comedy Lysistrata. Chicago natives Kanye West, Common, and Jennifer Hudson have been attached to the Amazon Studios picture with Samuel L. Jackson, John Cusack, and Jeremy Piven mentioned as cast members as well.

The Windy City’s Jo Jo Capone is working to thwart both the image of his hometown as the American Baghdad and the actual gun violence consuming Chicago. Capone connected with AllHipHop.com, and he discussed his role in getting Spike Lee to rename his movie.

The CEO of Act Like It Entertainment also reveals his own personal loss from gun violence, and how he helps Chicago’s youth change the destructive outcomes taking place on the streets of his hometown.

You talked about how it’s contradictory to talk about “black lives matter,” but then we’re arguing and fighting among ourselves.

Exactly, we had an issue a couple of days ago with Spike Lee because he’s trying to profit off the name of “Chiraq”. Now he’s changed the name [of his upcoming movie]. Everybody got out there and said, “You’re not about to exploit us.” Common and Kanye got involved with it.

They just came to people that are very instrumental in the Chicago scene, including myself. I have my own label Act Like It Entertainment, and my movement is Global Gangsters. Under that umbrella, I have members that are part of the movement in every major city. That’s another way I’m able to touch on a situation quick, to be in a position to make something wrong, right before it gets out of proportion.

So Spike Lee did change the name of the movie?

Yeah, he changed it from Chiraq. He actually sent a camera crew to my neighborhood and took pictures. He involved us, because I spoke out publicly about it. How are you gonna do a movie about Chiraq and I’m not one of the first five people that you call when you’re dealing with Chicago? Something ain’t right. Once I spoke about it, that very next day that got they sh*t together. You ain’t shooting no movie out here and I’m not part of it. It don’t work like that.

[EDITOR’S NOTE: As of press time, Spike Lee has not confirmed he has changed the name of the movie from “Chiraq”.]

Kanye & Common Reportedly Attached To Lee's Upcoming Film
Kanye & Common Reportedly Taking Part In Lee’s Upcoming Film

I saw that Twista set up an organization to talk to some of the young people in the city about ending the violence. How do you think some of the citizens can work to counteract some of the extreme violence that’s happening?

Everybody should be willing to counteract, because it’s our kids that are dying. These are our cousins, our nieces, our babies. It’s our people. Like a lot of people say, it starts in the household. But a kid can go outside that household and turn into a hole other person. I bare witness to that. I was respectable in the house and a demon once I left.

I knew both sides of the street, both sides of the fence. Once I left that household, I would wild out. That’s why if I can prevent that, I do. I lost a son to gun violence. My son got shot nine times. It’s not no game to me. You would never think of losing your child until it happens.

I didn’t want him to do what I’ve done. I think that may have backfired, because he knew I was reckless. I was trying to tell him to do the right thing, but he felt like I’m trying to throw wool over his eyes. But I was expressing my love for you by saying, “What I went through, I don’t need you to go through it.”

Does that message resonate with the young people?

Yeah, it resonates. I’m still in my hood. I’m still on my block. I’m still in these areas. The thing is the entertainers think they can come through, sell records, do a commercial, and then they’re gone. That ain’t the case for me. I’m in the hood. I’m with them. I’m standing on the block when people from four blocks overcome shooting over here.

I’m standing out there with that. So when I see people shooting, I go right to that neighborhood like, “Look man, I was standing out there. Bullets don’t have a name. What if we come shooting over here? Look around. There’s kids playing. When you just came and shot around that corner, you didn’t know a nine month pregnant lady was about to come around the corner too. You wasn’t thinking like that. Whatever you came over here shooting for, could have been spoken on.”

It’s about prevention. Until the bullets start blasting and somebody loses their life, there’s a point where you step out of that equation, because it’s really out of your hands. You can’t really tell somebody how to feel when they lose their loved one. You can try to talk some sense into them, but they’re hurt. So it’s either they’re gonna have forgiveness in their heart or they’re gonna have vindication in their heart. So if you can prevent it from going to the gun part, then you’re cool.

Then you have to ask, “Where the hell are all these guns coming from?” It’s a conspiracy. When we grew up, it was one gun among 20 people. Now it’s 20 guns among the 20. Guns are not cheap. If it’s a recession and guns cost money, how is it more guns? It’s a conspiracy.

They act like they’re melting these guns down from these [police] busts. They’re not melting these guns down. It’s an allusion. They make you think they’re melting these guns, and then sell them right back into the community. They got to. Just think about it. Look how easy it is to access a gun.

EXCLUSIVE: Jo Jo Capone Talks Settling Game/Young Thug Beef + Working To Reconcile Issues Between Thug, Birdman & Lil Wayne

Last week saw California rap veteran Jayceon “The Game” Taylor and Atlanta upstart Jeffrey “Young Thug” Williams engaged in an online back-and-forth that led to threats from both sides. Before the situation turned violent, Chicago representative Jo Jo Capone stepped in and helped end the conflict.

While Game and Thug have seemingly moved past their differences, there is still the ongoing issues between Thugger and Dwayne “Lil Wayne” Carter. The Young Money boss was not pleased with the “Stoner” rhymer potentially naming his album Carter 6. Eventually, Thug changed the title to Barter 6, but that did not stop Wayne from calling out the Rich Gang member.

Add in Wayne’s legal battle with the man he once called his father and Thug’s current mentor Bryan “Birdman” Williams, the situation becomes even more complicated. Capone is now looking to use his influence to settle the differences between Thug, Wayne, and Birdman.

AllHipHop.com spoke with Jo Jo Capone, and part one of the interview includes the Global Gangsters leader addressing his goal to bring peace to the Young Money/Cash Money/Rich Gang family.

[ALSO READ: Jojo Capone Explains Why He Helped End The Beef Between The Game & Young Thug (AUDIO)]

Can you talk about how you and Thug first connected?

Thug’s been around forever. I was working really close with Ca$h Out. Him and Ca$h Out were doing a group thing back in the day. So I knew of him. One of my little cousins, he shot videos with Thug.

From the time of slaves, they say you were named after your slave master. We share the same last name, so we’re a distant relative. I just don’t know how distant it is. Now, it’s turned into more of a family thing with the knowledge of me knowing that. If you have the same last name with somebody, y’all are relatives. I don’t care what color you are. You just gotta see if it’s by marriage or by blood.

You played a big role in The Game and Young Thug coming together and squashing their issues. Can you explain how that went down?

Game was defending Wayne when he was at his show in Louisiana. With the crowd egging him on, he backed Wayne by saying, “F*ck Young Thug.” After the video went viral on the internet, he went to Thug’s [Instagram] page, seen me in a picture and seen that I rock with Thug.

He called me and said, “That sh*t got blown out of proportion.” So I said let me reach out to Thug about it. By then Thug had seen [Game’s video], and he did a video. Then it went back-and-forth. Before it spilled over, I said let me intervene and put an end to it. That’s all we really want for this situation. While it’s early on, let’s get Game and Thug out the way. Then we’ll work on Wayne and Thug at the same time too.

Thug put up another video where he did apologize to Game, but at the end of the video he threw a little shot at Wayne. He said Wayne wasn’t fighting his own battles.

Basically, Game wouldn’t have had to say nothing about Thug if it wasn’t for Wayne. It wouldn’t have been an issue. Wayne did put out records where he spoke up for himself, but Game still did what he did.

So you’re working to end the Wayne and Thug situation?

Thug, Wayne, and Birdman. It’s all a tight-knit family. That friction interferes with the kids. It’s bigger than us. The families are involved. The mothers are calling. Somebody has to be the equal medium. I don’t play no favoritism. When you’re wrong, you’re wrong. Thug never would have thought Game would even have done that. Especially, without them meeting prior to that.

So they didn’t know each other?

No, but that’s why it was so easy for Game to say and do what he did. It was easy for him to pick a side. When you meet Thug you’re gonna love him. When you meet Wayne, you’re gonna love him. When you meet Game, you’re gonna love him.

When you don’t know one another, whatever energy’s brought to a situation, it allows it to grow, because they don’t know each other personally. When you put all four of them in a room together – Wayne, Thug, Stunna, Game – that’s magic.

How do you reconcile that situation? On the surface it seems like the issue is about Thug trying to name his album Carter 6, but there’s also talk that they’re are issues that are deeper than that.

People can’t just push under the rug that Thug said Wayne was his idol. You can’t make wanting to call his album Carter 6 a negative thing. That’s just like other basketball players using the number 23. The world could feel like no one else can wear 23 but Jordan. But other athletes were able to wear 23.

Nobody really beat up on Wayne [when he named his albums Tha Carter] – even though that’s his government last name, Carter – when Jay Z had “S. Carter.” Nobody said anything to Jay Z when Puff started with P. Diddy. Why is it an issue when Thug does it? You gotta embrace Thug. You can’t push him out.

You point out that artists are inspired by other people, draw from them, and create their own thing. Why do you think Thug faced such backlash from the public in this particular case?

Because it’s a lack of knowledge. Conversations like this, these don’t get put on a pedestal. These are the conversations that need to be highlighted for those that are going to go through this after this situation.

People don’t want to have issues, but [different artists are] talking about the same type of things – poverty, the ghetto. It’s just from their city’s point of view. What’s going to be different about the story? Just the street names, but it’s still a ghetto story.

Young Thug has a squeaky pitch to his voice, and people gravitate to it. His dress code is different, and they’re gravitating to it. He’s a rapper with a rock star swag. That’s fairly new for this generation. You had Andre 3000 and guys like that. But a hardcore gangster rap fan would look at Andre 3000, and just because of the way he dresses, they don’t want to listen to his music.

Thug is no different. You can’t beat up on Thug. Everybody else is doing something in some shape, form, or fashion too. And Thug’s bringing originality to the game. They’re gonna say he’s not. Why? Cause he’s singing and rapping, that’s Drake. If you’re gonna say, “That’s Drake,” then we’re gonna say, “That’s Do or Die or Twista.” People were before Drake. You have to let the artists do what they do.
