During a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, LL Cool J, Big Sean and actress Rose Byrne played a game of Pictionary and let’s just say LL’s drawing skills are less than superb. The struggle was real for the NCIS LA star and Byrne as they had to put their drawing skills to the test and illustrate a teaspoon and a tattoo. The newly single Big Sean and Fallon proved to be Pictionary naturals and guessed their answers of “when pigs fly” and “treehouse” in record time.

Two Members Of Migos Released From Jail Following Drug Arrest

(AllHipHop News) Members of the Atlanta rap group Migos were arrested over the weekend after police allegedly discovered drugs and firearms in their vans. According to Migos’ verified Twitter and Instagram accounts, Quavo and Takeoff are currently free.

Migos were taken into custody in Statesboro, Georgia. The trio was scheduled to perform at Georgia Southern University’s 2015 Spring concert before they and other members of their entourage were arrested.

According to reports, Takeoff and Quavo respective bonds were set at $10,000. Third member Offset remains in custody.

Da Brat Speaks On Nicki Minaj & Iggy Azalea’s Potential Longevity (VIDEO)

(AllHipHop News) Da Brat has not released a studio album since 2003’s Limelite, Luv & Niteclubz, but the Funkdafied femcee announced she is back in the studio with longtime producing partner Jermaine Dupri.

In the time since Da Brat’s last LP, Nicki Minaj and Iggy Azalea have emerged as female rap’s highest charting performers. The Chicago native has her own experience with mainstream success (she was the first solo female rap act to have a platinum album), so VladTV asked Brat for her thoughts about the potential longevity of the more recent women to break into rap music.

“I definitely feel like Nicki’s gonna have longevity. I’m not sure about Iggy. Right now she’s dope, but I’m not sure,” said Brat. “I haven’t really heard her ‘spit-spit’, and ‘spit-spitting’ is coming back. Nicki’s spits.”

While Brat is open about her respect for Nicki’s talent, the two ladies did have a misunderstanding back in 2012. Nicki responded to a false blog post by calling Brat “sir” in a tweet. The Young Money artist later apologized for her comments.

Brat also revealed the public could be hearing her on tracks with Missy Elliott, Trina, Shawnna, and Vita in the future. The So So Def representative also claims she is working on two separate television shows.

Young Thug’s “Barter 6” Album Final Sales Numbers Are In

(AllHipHop News) After weeks of constant headlines surrounding his feud with Lil Wayne, Young Thug finally released his Barter 6 album late last week. Hits Daily Double has begun crunching the sales numbers, and it appears Thugger’s new project is looking to break into the top 10 on the charts.

The totals are not final, but with 65% of the results in Barter 6 is currently at 16,000 albums sold. That does not include sales plus streaming totals. If Thug’s LP keeps pace, it is set to debut around the number seven spot.

Tyler, The Creator’s Cherry Bomb is also en route to open in the top ten. The Odd Future member’s fourth studio album is presently closing in on 44,000 units sold (no SPS). Tyler is competing with Reba McEntire’s Love Somebody for second place on the chart. Handwritten by Shawn Mendes is expected to land at #1.

Hits Daily Double has published the final album sales totals. Young Thug’s Barter 6 is listed at #15 on the Building Album Sales chart with 16,732 units. The Rich Gang’s member’s project falls to #21 on the Sales Plus Streaming chart with 18,714 units. Tyler, The Creator’s Cherry Bomb lands at #3 on the BAS chart (48,776) and #4 on the SPS chart (56,172)

According to a new video interview with Rolling Stone, the “O Let’s Do It” performer is throwing his name into the hat to take over the job after Barack Obama leaves office. But what exactly will be the platform Waka’s running on?

“The first thing I’m gonna do when I get in office is legalize marijuana,” Waka tells the camera.

The Love & Hip Hop Atlanta alum also gives his stance on animals in restaurants, big feet Americans, educating the youth through his lyrics, and raising the minimum wage. However, his views on women’s rights may not sit well with Hillary Clinton supporters.

“Women rights? I feel like women got all the rights already. What else they want?” states Waka. “Women are pretty tough right now. I feel like it’s not a thing of rights for women, it’s more of a respect thing.”

Waka has already picked his running mate – DJ Whoo Kid. To support the rapper’s bid for the White House share the hashtag #WakaForPresident on social media.

(AllHipHop News) In 2012 Ice-T released the Hip Hop documentary Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap. The film featured interviews with four dozen rap insiders. Ice-T and Universal Zulu Nation’s Mickey Bentson have now tapped many of those same stars for the first annual Art Of Rap Music Festival.

Chief Rocker Busy Bee is set to serve as Master of Ceremonies for the two-day event. The lineup is scheduled to include performances by The Game, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Ice T, Afrika Bambaataa and The Soulsonic Force, Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, Mack 10, Xzibit, Warren G, Rapper’s Delight, Kurtis Blow, Too Short, Doug E Fresh, DJ Quik, Kool Moe Dee, King T, Grand Master Melle Mel, Tha Alkaholiks, Biz Markie, Slick Rick, EPMD, Cold Crush Brothers, Ras Kass and other special guests.

“Hip Hop is the most powerful and influential cultural movement since Rock & Roll. A true art form that deserves respect,” states Ice T.

The first Art Of Rap Festival will take place at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Irvine, California on July 18. The second event will be held at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California on July 19.

The festival will feature two stages and over 25 artists per date (lineups vary by city). Attendees can expect a full festival experience featuring break dancers, live graffiti artists, vendors, an interactive area and more.

Freeway, Jussie Smollett & Danny Glover To Participate In #March2Justice Rally Against Police Brutality

(AllHipHop News) Philadelphia emcee Freeway joined with Justice League NYC for the #March2Justice #WhyWeMarch #BlackLivesMatter rally against police brutality. The march began in New York City on March 13 and culminates in Washington DC today (April 21) on the National Mall.

The march was organized to demand police accountability and reforms in response to the recent killings of unarmed African-Americans such as Michael Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, and others. Freeway will be joined by legendary actor Danny Glover, Empire star Jussie Smollett, rapper/activist Jasiri X, Hip Hop Chess Federation’s Quadir Lateef, and more.

“Police brutality isn’t new. All across this country, the ‘hood has been at odds with the police for as long as there have been ‘hoods,” says Freeway. “But in 2015, the issue has become an epidemic, and I feel it’s only right that I use my voice and influence to help wake up the community and the leadership. Black lives matter. All lives matter.”
