Shots Fired Inside Jeezy, T.I., Yo Gotti CIAA Day Party?

Even though many don’t know what the acronym C.I.A.A. stands for (Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association) they know to head down to Charlotte, N.C. to party every year. Everyone in Hip-Hop, R&B, and beyond is booked for events surrounding the college basketball games. CIAA is filled with day parties and club turn ups by night. They say we can’t ever have anything so to no surprise it has been reported that shots just rang out at a CIAA day party hosted by Young Jeezy, T.I., and Yo Gotti. Cops were called immediately to the scene. Some in attendance are saying two people may have been hit, however no official report has been made.

Recently, B.o.B releases  a video for “Candler Road Sh*t”, which takes him back to his old neck of the woods. Ab Soul – 47 Bars

It’s been a while since we’ve heard from Ab-Soul. Ever since his last project These Days, the Black-Lip Bastard has been pretty quiet. Well, that’s until this morning. Solo dropped a new song titled “47-Bars” on an unknown Soundcloud profile. Though there may be a risk of TDE dropping him, the Carson, Cali rapper didn’t really care. Legendary Singer Lionel Richie Has Words For Kanye West

Lionel Richie As He Watched Kanye Perform “All Day”

The world is still talking about the new Kanye West song, “All Day,” which popped up at the BRIT Awards earlier in the week.

Lionel Richie, the legendary soul singer, was not impressed, particularly with the use of the word n***a and profanity. The song uses n***a 39 times.

In an interview with The Daily Mirror, Ritchie said, “I don’t think it’s OK for a black man to use the N-word. I don’t like it – and I am a black man. I don’t think it should be said and become normal.’”

He also questioned if Yeezy would be able to continue on in this manner that certainly had jaws dropping at the BRIT Awards.

“Kanye is giving this generation shock value. How he carries on for the next 10 years we will see. The music business is more attention driven but you have to let it pass. Don’t even focus on it,” he said. “’Because what we have going on in the world is to over the top. I mean, who are we fighting? There is more hunger and famine in the world today than there was when we did We Are The World.”

There was a delay for the live event to edit explicit language, but many of the words got through to the audience.

Kanye West Was A Calm Dude Before He Performed "All Day"

Have you ever heard of Kanye West being completely silent? That’s a statement that hasn’t been made before. Well, this may surprise you. Before his performance at the Brit Awards 15′, West was pretty quiet. You can see the man looks focused, and that in a few minutes, he’s going to kill it. Kanye’s performance of “All Day” included an all black army and flamethrowers. Rappers Allan Kingdom and Theophilus also turnt up on stage with the Chi Town Rapper. Check out the video below.

Veteran Detroit Rapper Esham Disses Eminem

Eminem has had his share of battles but Esham is not just any rapper. He’s a highly influential pioneer of the Detroit rap scene.

And now, he’s mad – again.

Esham, the creator of acid rap, expressed his opinions in an interview with the Murder Master Music Show.

“I am tired of Eminem. I just want him to keep it real and quit being a b####. He f**kin’ sold a lotta people out in the city, man. He needs to stop disrespecting the city and making people hate Detroit even more. That’s what that was about. Don’t even say s**t about Detroit,” he said.

Continuing, he said that Eminem has not represented properly, even on his own Shady song “Detroit vs Everybody.”

“With the ‘Detroit Vs. Everybody’ don’t say Detroit vs. everybody… you don’t help nobody in the city “I don’t give a f**k. I will say that. You got a radio station (Shade 45) and nobody gets played on your station? Come on, B. Get the f**k outta here. You got 50 hundred million dollars and you ain’t doing s**t,” he said. “Do something for the schools, anything, I don’t wanna hear that s**t. If you say something about Detroit, I’m gonna say something about you. Let somebody say something to me. I ain’t gonna say s**t. I ain’t lyin’ on that muthaf**ka.”

This is not the first time Esham has lashed out. He also has taken Royce Da 5’ 9” and Kid Rock to task.

In a 2011 interview with AllHipHop, he said:

“Eminem and Royce must have been listening to Booming Words from Hell and decided to make a sequel to that, because that is the original. It’s funny how these rappers gotta subliminally act like what they do is wicked s**t but don’t wanna give it up to the God, Esham…sound like that cereal cornpops”

“Kid Rock can eat a d**k as far as I’m concerned. I said it before and I will said it again. Racist, rebel flag (Confederate flag) wearing h#### tonk piece of s**t b**ch die!”

A Woman Testifies She Gave Amber Rose Booty Shots

A Philadelphia madam claims she gave Amber Rose butt-shots to enhance her posterior and Kanye West dropped her off. She also claims she was to perform “a correction” on Nicki Minaj, but it never happened.

Padge-Victoria Windslowe stands accused of killing a London break dancer with illegal butt injections and took the stand where she made multiple name drops, according to the Associated Press.

“Amber was like a walking billboard. She brought a lot of girls from VH1,” Windslowe testified.
Windslowe, a transgender, once worked as a madame that employed men, women and other transgendered sex workers.

Windslowe stands accused of third-degree murder after she allegedly who injected 20-year-old Aderotimi with silicone at a Philadelphia hotel.

According to a report, Windslowe was known as “the Michelangelo of buttocks injections” for her illegal, but supposed quality work in getting backsides bigger.

Famous NY Knick Anthony Mason Dies At 48

Rest in peace, Anthony Mason.

The former New York Knick has died at the age of 48 after a prolonged, preexisting heart issue. Mason had received several surgeries on his heart to correct the issue. He died from congestive heart failure, according to his son Anthony, Jr.

The 6’ 7” giant played in the NBA for 13 years, but rose to prominence during a 5-year run with the Knicks.

In the 1994-95 season, Mason, a fan favorite, won the prestigious Sixth Man Award as a Knick. He also played for the Charlotte Hornets, Milwaukee Bucks and Miami Heat, according to ESPN.

Mannnnnn…FOH, Kid Rock!

Kid Rock used to be down with Hip-Hop back in the day. Remember hearing this?

or this?

Me neither, but those are rap albums from Kid Rock in the early 1990’s. He even had Too $hort on beats.

RELATED: Beyonce Fans Bash Kid Rock Over His Comments About The Singer (PHOTOS)

Quite a lot has changed from this dude that once upon a time had an affinity for Black people, but not seems to have more of an affinity with hateful, Right Wing racists like Ted Nugent. So recently, Kid Rock proclaimed – a profanity-laced rant about Beyonce – that he liked “skinny white chicks with b#######.’ [Beyonce] doesn’t really f**king do much for me.” Who cares what he likes in a woman. What’s he mad for though? Does he need to get all extra racist-y when he disagrees with others on Beyonce’s talent? Or is Rocky p##### off that he had his only child (to date) with a Black woman? Perhaps, there’s that latent, hidden hate in the recesses of that redneck, hick, John-Deere driving mind that says “Kid Rock was a wack rapper that had to segue Rock to make it?”

Kid Rock has taken time to defend against allegations of racism so this notion is nothing new. In 2011, the Detroit NAACP honored Rock amid protests. “I love America. I love Detroit, and I love black people,” he told a local crowd as they booed him. He donated $50,000 to non-profit organizations in the area. Rock also has an affinity for the Confederate Flag, which he attributes to his adoration to rock gods Lynyrd Skynyrd. OK. That does not explain why in 2000 Kid Rock would invite a singer with a history of racist songs to tour with him.

Kid Rock is like the older, cranky decidedly racist uncle to some of the younger white rappers. When you talk about appropriating black music, vernacular and sentiments – and then letting it go when it no longer serves you – Kid Rock is king. At 44 years of age, he bears no resemblance to the guy that once idolized Run DMC or even that fellow that used rap-rock as a bridge to totally divest from the culture of rap. What a contradictory guy he’s turned out to be.

Some fans have taken exception to the racist label, namely those with no apparent racial reference point of view to begin with. So he screwed a Black girl in a bathroom and impregnated her. Does that somehow render him unable to be a redneck bigot (mind you he’s copped to the redneck part)? Oh…he rapped so he cannot be racist. Really, people? His view on Beyonce don’t make him a racist, because it is much more than that. He’s publicly claimed to love Black folk but so much more contradicts that assertion. Is Kid Rock racist? I don’t know. He rolls with racists. Maybe he’s not a racist. I don’t know any non-racists that chill with racists though. Then again, I’m Black. Who knows, Kid Rock? Only you.

Jerk? We can all have an opinion on that.

D-Nice Had The RIGHT IDEA!

Review: Big Sean's Dark Sky Paradise

big-sean-dark-sky-paradise-cover

Big Sean has been on a trip ever since last album Hall Of Fame. As the Detroit rapper continue to make hits with a plethora of big names from Travi$ Scott to Common, there seems to be a struggle when he makes an album. This time around, Sean’s new project Dark Sky Paradise brings in a darker vibe compared other projects in his catalogue. You get the feeling as if he’s finally establishing a his own sound, and far more serious than we’ve ever heard before. However, the album also has a few faults that keeps Sean’s project from being a serious project.

The first half of Dark Sky Paradise is explosive, and it give you the feeling like Big Sean is giving it his all. The album starts out with “Dark Sky (Skyscrapers)”, then hits you with the single “Blessings and then a dope Kanye West-featured track called “All Your Fault”.  You’re then gifted with the radio-hit “I Don’t F*ck With You” to keep you interested as the album plays on. Sean’s rhymes are repetitive sometimes, but there are significant moments in Dark Sky where his flow and the production are combined perfectly. The MikeWillMadeIt-produced single “Paradise” is a dope example of this. There’s also production from DJ Mustard, Key Wane, and of course, Kanye. “Play No Games” was a dope track that feels like a early 90’s rap slow jam. It is throughout this first half that you get the feeling like Sean’s music is trying to prove something.

Here’s the problem with Dark Sky Paradise though. After “Paradise”, things get a little slow, and when things get a little slow, the album kind of looses its fire. Jhene Aiko’s featured appearances are dope additions to the album, but it’s hard to listen to after the entire turn-up session before. It’s like an actual dark sky was over this section of the album. Although things kind of pick up with “Deep”, Dark Sky Paradise gets a bit stale for a second, and looses the cohesiveness it had from the beginning.

Dark Sky Paradise is an album you listen with caution. Although Sean continues to supply banging hits on his third album, he still struggles with finding an effective way of grabbing the listener. It kind of sucks too, because Dark Sky Paradise attempts to give you a serious effort.

Kid Rock Disses Beyonce & Gets Attacked!

I don’t even think Kid Rock dissed Beyonce – until the end of the quote. SMH. He just offered his two cents on an international phenomenon. But that doesn’t matter when it comes to the Bey Hive. They will go crazy on your a$$ if you come out of your mouth the wrong way. And, they did just that when he said:

“Beyoncé, to me, doesn’t have a f###### ‘Purple Rain,’ but she’s the biggest thing on Earth. How can you be that big without at least one ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ or ‘Old Time Rock & Roll’? People are like, ‘Beyoncé’s hot. Got a nice f**king a$$.’ I’m like, ‘Cool, I like skinny white chicks with b#######.’ Doesn’t really f**king do much for me.”

Then this happened!

Is Rihanna Headed For Heartbreak?

I tried to ignore this, but Rihanna and Leonardo DiCaprio are dating. They even went so far as to spend Valentines Day together. According to the Star magazine insider, Leo is going around telling people that he’s free and clear – a totally single man. Rihanna on the other hand is all types of enamored by Leo the Dio. (OK, that was corny.) They also say that he’s really not into Rihanna, why I find hard to believe. Who’s not into RiRi? Put your hands up! Anyway, their sources say that dude said Rihanna was “nobody special.” I don’t know about that. This could be a publicity stunt or something. Or maybe, it is just another hit and run. At least he won’t likely be hitting on her.

Swave HMG – "Legendary" (Mixtape)

New York City’s Hip-Hop scene has undergone a transformation of sorts in recent years. With new artists pulling musical inspiration from other regions. Many of these newcomers completely abandon their NYC roots for the southern aesthetic. With that said, Bronx native Swave HMG, leader of the Tally Global collective, releases his full length project titled “Legendary”. The album finds the upstart mixing a unique brand of golden era NY aesthetics with a new school sensibility. The 14 track project, with majority of the production handled by Dizzybanko, features standout songs such as “Its Whateva” and “Wrong Ni**a”, which have already been gaining heavy traction on major NYC radio. Having been stamped and co-signed by some of rap’s elite, Swave HMG is sure to be a fixture on your music playlist.
