Afroman Announces He's Retiring From Doing Shows After Slapping Woman On Stage

(AllHipHop News) Afroman says he is done performing shows. The “Because I Got High” rapper was arrested last week after video of him smacking a woman at his concert circulated the Internet.

In a post on his official Facebook page, Afroman announced he will continue to record music and shoot videos, but his days of hitting the stage are apparently over. The on stage incident prompted the California native to take anger management classes.

Afroman wrote in part:

I’ve been rapping professionally since the year 2000. Early in my career I have had problems with people jumping on stage grabbing the Mics , spilling beer , on equipment and ruining a show . I had a special clause put in my performance contracts that demands security watch stage and politely discourage anyone from jumping on stage. In my 15 years of performing I noticed once one person jumps on stage 100 people jump on stage…

While I was paying unfair taxes working for the IRS I was also getting frustrated at a lack of security at a lot of my shows. We go over everything over and over again on the phone then when I performing the whole crowd jumps on the stage pours beer all over everything and I have to buy equipment the next day instead of make a profit. I figured everything would come together in due time I underestimated the frustration and anger in my life coming from everywhere and I tried to work and make everything work out. In my frustrating ambitious efforts ,the IRS , DEA , lack of security and other pressures in my life have busted my pipes to the point where I have disrespected another human being twice.

“I DID NOT UNLOAD A DEVISTATING PUNCH ” LIKE TMZ LIED AND SAID I DID
It was a slap/ push . SHE WAS NEVER BLEEDING LIKE TMZ LIED AND SAID SHE WAS !!!!!!

IT WAS A SLAP/PUSH !!! And she quickly recovered. This situation is still bad however I must clarify its not as bad as lying news publications would have you believe.
The incident with the guy in Cincinnati did not happen the next night like mediatakeout lied and said it did . It happened last year.

BREEDING GROUND SHOWCASE: Roosh Williams Is Simply "Unorthodox"

Forget what you thought you knew about the booming indie scene in Texas. While legends like DJ Screw, Scarface, Fat Pat, Lil KeKe, Paul Wall, Slim Thug and more have left legacies that can’t be recreated, there’s a new generation that has now taken the reigns, setting themselves apart by reinventing Houston’s signature sound.

Enter Roosh Williams.

Creatively combining fast spitting with potent lyrics, it’s easy to see how he gained an entire legion of fans before even signing an official deal, whatever it is he’s got it.  On the eve of his new album Unorthodox, he sat down to break it all down for us.

AllHipHop: Your life almost took an entirely different path, you were in college when you got into the game right?

Roosh Williams: I actually started recording my freestyles on a computer when I was in 6th grade and made my first cd in 9th grade. Eventually I went to UT (University of Texas-Austin) to study communication. My original plan was to get a communication degree and then go to law school.

AllHipHop: What turned you from student to artist?

Roosh Williams: I had kept doing music in college and just spread my name. Once I started recording again it just started spreading across campus and then I met the people with Scoremore. I started getting booked. I was opening for Curren$y, Juvenile, Bun B, Chitty Bang…just recording and trying to juggle studying. I was studying to take the LSAT and walked out halfway through.

AllHipHop: That’s a leap of faith. How did your family feel about you dropping out of school?

Roosh Williams: My parents wanted me to pursue law school and still do, but I started making money rapping and I was just running everything myself. It’s definitely different in Austin, out there I was one of the most known on the underground scene. I graduated in 2011 and moved back to Houston but realized that a lot of people didn’t know who I was the way that they did in Austin. I had to start all over again.

AllHipHop: You recently linked up with Scarface again for “Deep End” and have already collaborated with a number of artists including Bubba Sparxxx, Action Bronson, Emilio Rojas and more. Are there any that stick out for you?

Roosh Williams: I’ve  got to say Scarface, GT Garza and of course Killa Kyleon. I dropped “No Hard Feelings” with Killa and got booked for three shows that weekend. One of my favorite collabs has been with (fellow Houston emcee) Doughbeezy. I met Dough I think about 4 years ago and he’s showed me love from jump, he’s always had my back. Never asked for anything.

AllHipHop: You’ve been credited with being extremely versatile with your flows, how would you describe your individual sound?

Roosh Williams: I’m unorthodox. That’s how I named the album. I’m definitely not a traditional Houston sound, which is why being in Houston is so difficult sometimes. The way I sound here is not the norm. People keep trying to recreate what Houston’s known for but it’s just not like that anymore. It’s just the same old s###. I’m all about cadence and I’m all about content. Someone with southern roots but influenced by all different kinds of sounds, from Detroit to the East and West Coast.  I’m just a weird cat, I’m a weird human being.

AllHipHop: What’s a common misconception about Roosh?

Roosh Williams: Man. I feel like people that don’t know me may take my demeanor the wrong way. It doesn’t bother me but I do get a lot of comparisons to white rappers, I’m not even white though. (He’s actually Persian.)  It’s like people are just misinformed. If I was the “trust fund hipster” people thought I was, I wouldn’t be here I’d be gone. (laughs.)

AllHipHop: Music is a crazy industry. Have you considered any other paths in the game or do you think about returning to school down the line?

Roosh Williams: It’s a little of both. I feel like it’s going to happen but I’m always open to a Plan B. I wouldn’t count on going back to maybe law school but I feel like I built my name up enough to where I don’t have to do as much running around and can actually focus more on music. When I put something out I’m confident in it.

Defending Amber Rose And Kim Kardashian: “Jesus Walks” With Them!

Sorry! This editorial is not an attack on Kim Kardashian or Amber Rose. Unlike many of you that would call Kim a “w####” for making a sex tape with Ray J and capitalizing off of it—I think it was a grand move of epic proportions for Kim to set herself up for life—financially speaking—Or Amber being a stripper at age 14 and both of them “Breaking the Internet” with their beautiful, bootylicious bods—they ain’t got s### to be ashamed of! (And if you’re worried about how they will explain this to their child/ren one day, I say, “F###’em!” as they pull those silver spoons out of their moufs that “whoredom” provided them. And besides that, the lil nigglets will have done enough childhood & adult dirt that will prolly pale in comparison to Mama K & Mama A.)

COUNTERPOINT: Haters Be Damned: Kanye West Is A Dope Mother F**ker

If you have a problem with nudity, you have a problem with God! For God made a naked male & female and said it was, “Very good” (Genesis 1:31). Don’t get uptight when Kim & Amber break these Internetz with all that azz! Get mad that you have been brainwashed by Judeo-Christian coonery, which has ascribed “nasty,” “dirty,” and “shameful” to God’s beautifully sculptured creation, the human body! Where you see “w####,” I see God!

I don’t buy into this “woman-as-w####-man-as-stud” b/s based on how many sex partners a person has had. The demonizing of women who’ve had many sex partners is a sexist, male-chauvinistic ideology, which can be dated back to that pseudo-sacred piece of paper that has been the foundation for keeping women under foot—da Bible! Moreover, the only way we know about the very few men that Kim & Amber have dated—Reggie Bush, Ray J, Chris Humphries, Kanye & Wiz Khalifa is because they are famous public figures.

Man or woman reading this editorial—how many people have you sexed dated? How many no-name, insignificant, irrelevant people have you had one night stands with, two month sex rumps with? How much pu**y eating c##########, d**k sucking f####### and f**king coitus have you had? Dare I say that you might be more of a “w####” than Kim & Amber? The nerve of humans to think that f**king famous men for money (or not) is an egregious use of the temple (body), but a life-time of jumping in and out of men’s beds in the pursuit of the “Holy Grail of Relationships”—marriage—is an honorable thingy! (F.O.H.!) Kim Kardashian and Amber Rose, you’re all right with me! Keep breaking the Internet!

But Kim’s husband?

Kanye West is up to his shenanigans again; this time, throwing the black woman (in this case, Amber Rose) under the proverbial bus, in favor of the American standard of beauty, the white woman (Kim Kardashian). (Editor’s note: Kim isn’t white technically and Amber Rose is of mixed heritage and doesn’t claim Black.) You can argue that Amber Rose isn’t black and Kim K. isn’t white, but racist America has already placed these women in their prospective racial boxes. Amber Rose is ours black people and Kim K. belongs to that other race.

Now! If you were under a hip-hop rock and missed Kanye’s stupidity, this is what he said on New York radio Power 105’s “The Breakfast Club” about his former girlfriend Amber Rose in defending his wife, Kim Kardashian: “If Kim dated me when I first wanted to be with her, there wouldn’t be a Amber Rose.” Ye went on to say, “It’s very hard for a woman to want to be with someone who was with Amber Rose.” And then Kanye went in for the kill saying, “I had to take thirty [30] showers before I got with Kim.” Capping off his f**kery with, “I just want to be respectful” (towards Amber). Negro please! I hope Wiz slaps the dog-s**t out of Kanye! (Editor’s note: Wiz has not been nice to Amber either, likening her to a piece of pie that everybody has had a piece of.)

Was Amber Rose dirty when you were “shooting her club up?” Only b####-de-fied n##### hate on what they used to love!

Well ni**a, you weren’t respectful, so I shall “go-in” on you with all the disrespect I can muster up and I hope you feel some type-of-way and wanna address me! I’m about to give you some bible-learnin’ and show you that “Jesus Walks” with your wife and your ex-girl!

What kind of man watches a video of a woman sucking, f**king and swallowing another man’s load and desires to date, yea, marry that woman? Kanye West! Of all the women that Kanye could’ve had, he chose to marry the one that I—and millions of others have seen naked—up close and personal doing the nasty! Sigmund Freud would have a field-day deconstructing the mind-set of such a person, prolly concluding that it is not the woman he desires, but rather the man with the big d**k elongated phallus that is the object of his affection and lust—”Projected Homosexuality” with underlying “Penis Envy”, if you will.

Like really. Most of us men are in relationships with women who were no virgins. The reality is that she’s sucked a dick or two or three or four or ten before we came on the scene, but because we’ve never seen the evidence, we can dismiss it from our minds. Kanye, on the other hand, has to see Ray J’s d**k every time he looks at Kim’s lips and va-jay-jay. That’s just what it is; no matter how he tries to feign like she’s been sitting on some pedestal of white womanhood. Kim is tainted, (sexually) dirty, and used—just as Amber and the rest of us are! How dare Kanye try to put white Kim on a sexually unblemished mantle—and, at the same time, destroy a black woman’s right to be a sexual creature!

And for Kanye to say that he had to take a Calgon bath “30 times” before sexing Kim after being with Amber is ludacrisp! We all know Ray J has had a bevy of women at his disposal! How many times did Kim have to brush her teeth before Kanye wanted to smooch her? (Or was Freud right? Kanye desired to taste Ray J through Kim’s lips?) I’m so disrespectful!

Kanye likes to talk that “class, religion & race” ish, which separates humanity. Indeed they do, but he is a purveyor of that which he hates. The very fact that he’s chosen to date two women of (a higher) class & stature (Kim & Amber) proves that he is bitten by the class bug. What happened to that chick in Chicago you were banging when you were a nobody up-n-coming producer? That brown-skinned sista who held you down when you were eating Top Ramen?

Do you want some reality Mr. West? It is through the so-called “w####” that salvation is brought to humanity! Study mythology! Study religion! The so-called w#### has always stood beside greatness and great men—from Samson & Delilah to Ahab & Jezebel to David & Bathsheba to Jesus & Mary Magdalene (one of 3 “Marys” in the New Testament who was falsely accused of being a prostitute by the Roman Church under Pope Gregory c.540-604, thus the label stuck to her back) right on down to Kennedy & Marilyn Monroe and Clinton & Monica Lewinsky. The “w####” has always been an integral part of the scene. Toni Morrison’s book, “Sula” is a classic example of the “Archetypal W####” bringing salvation to the townspeople—giving people a reason to live, much like Kim & Amber give you Internet trolls a reason to live. In this same vein, Kim Kardashian & Amber Rose become hip-hop’s unrepentant “Archetypal W#####” (in y’all’s eye) who live the lifestyles of the “rich & shameless,” while breaking Internetz. These women give you reason to live! These women make you feel morally superior!

“Jesus Walks” because of the w####! What do I mean? If it had not been for those women in history, which the “w####” label fell upon, there would be no Jesus! Don’t give me your perverted view that Jesus came from an untouched *virgin! (Virgin, in Hebrew is “Betula,” yet the biblical writers used “Almah,” which simply means “young girl, but not necessarily a virgin.” Say word? Word!) The books in the Bible—St. Matthew & St. Luke clearly designates a birth-line genealogy to Jesus. And then scholars jumped all over Matthew & Luke’s genealogy, pointing out that at least four of Jesus’ female relatives fit the “Archetypal W####”— Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba. They wrote things like, “One oddity about the genealogy [is] …there is something questionable or even scandalous about the SEXUAL ACTIVITIES of each of these women…[the book of] Matthew might have been pointing out that God can use unusual means and imperfect persons to accomplish God’s plans” (Introduction to the Bible, Beasley et al. p.367).

The noted mythologist, Gerald Massey includes the Virgin Mary in the “Archetypal W####” category writing, “The virgin [Mary] was also called the harlot [w####], because she represented the pre-monogamic stage of intercourse; she descended from four forms of the harlot—Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba” (Gerald Massey’s Lectures, p.5).

Indeed, Jesus sprang from 42 generations of w##### and you wonder why he allowed prostitutes in his company? If you don’t know, now you know!

Again! “Jesus walks” with Kim & Amber! They are your new-jack, 21st century Tamar, Rahab, Ruth & Bathsheba! Through their wombs may come a savior-son or a savior-daughter—someone who may shape or change the course of human history! This is what Kanye, in all of his “Jesus Walks” and Amber-bashing fails to realize! This is what many of you fail to realize in calling out Kim & Amber with your pseudo-righteous indignation and morally bankrupt spiritual & religious awareness.

Writing songs about Jesus and all is cool, but if Kanye really knew his Bible he’d know that no amount of bathing—not 30, 40, or 100 baths could wash himself clean of Amber Rose! Instead of letting Kim convince him of his filthiness for having sexed Amber, he should have been the teacher that he espouses to be and tell that chick (Kim) what the good books says in Isaiah 64:6—“But we are all as an unclean thing and all of our righteousness are as filthy rags.”

To Amber Rose. If you’re reading this, know that you are a beautiful black woman, deserving of respect. You are God’s daughter! He/She/It has Her hands firmly around you. You are not dirty and you are not whorish! Kanye is just stuck in his male-chauvinistic, paternalistic understanding of the Divine (God). Like most men, Kanye cannot handle your free-spirited sexuality. As dirty as he thinks you may be, his hit song, “Jesus Walks,” yea, that whole album, “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” was inspired on your watch! You brought greatness out of him! Hold ya head high ma!

Kanye said it himself in his song, “Jesus Walks”—“To the hustlers, killers and murderers, drug dealers—even strippers (Jesus walks with them).” Well Kanye, I’ll do you one better! Not only does “Jesus walk” with them, Jesus says, “…verily [truly] I say unto you, that the publicans [hustlers, killers, murderers & drug dealers] and the harlots [strippers & prostitutes] go into the kingdom of God before you” (Matthew 21:31).

What shalt thou say now Mr. West? Between you and Wiz Khalifa, two children have been birthed from women that fit the “Archetypal W#####” in history. You can’t wash that away! Only pray that they change the world. May “Jesus walk” with them. Selah.

Rediculus – "In Response: Dee-Fi" (Album Stream)

Chicago’s very own Rediculus is excited to the release of his next project, In Response: Dee-Fi. The album will feature 15 tracks all produced by the beatsmith, who is getting reintroduced to the world of music after taking a year long hiatus. In Response showcases the creative endeavors of Rediculus’ growth as an artist and will be available for free download on February 23rd, via DJBooth.net, while a deluxe edition version that will include instrumental passes of all the songs will be available through Bandcamp for $5.

While the project is primarily rooted in 90’s Boom bap aesthetics, the LP also features a handful of tracks that divulge from the traditional heavy drums and crisp snares of yesteryear. Alongside the soulful Jay Hollins, Rediculus take the listener into an R&B influenced state of mind with tracks like, “Stay” and “Again,” both of which have the ‘Memories Over Music’ artist taking full reign by producing and writing the song. This theme continues on the Jus Daze assisted “Reprocussions,” which brings the upcoming rapper and his head-nodding rhymes together with Redic’s inquisitive drum arrangement.

In addition to the aforementioned talent, Rediculus has also invited a slew of creative names to the project. From established names like Shabaam Sahdeeq (Eminem, Kool G Rap, Common, Busta Rhymes) and C-Rayz Walz (Immortal Technique, Aesop Rock, Sadat X, El-P) In Response also brings rappers like long time collaborators Rich Malone, J57 and Sene, and up and comers like Fresco, Aarophat, Comet, Token and El Gant to the forefront.

When asked what fueled his creative process and the name behind the project, Rediculus states: “This is my statement of defiance to dare anyone to challenge my position in this culture, and exactly where the title of this album comes from. After my Mama passed in 2013, I sat down and refocused what it was that I was pursuing musically, and what I wanted to leave for others to judge me by after I was gone. I had always embraced 90’s Boom bap, but I really wanted to put my own presentation of that forward, instead of sticking with the same formula each time. I started layering more original instrumentation over my samples and started writing more lyrics and getting way deeper into the creative process this time.”

With 15 tracks that exemplify his penchant for production and tenacity for telling his story, Rediculus’ latest effort is his most ambitious project to date.

Problem "Hennessy" ft. TI and Rich Homie Quan

Did MSNBC Fire All Their Black Shows?

DAMN!

It looks like MSNBC is going through a total overhaul and the shows that are of the more liberal variety are on the chopping block. A recent article called “The Fall of MSNBC” outlined all the changes apparently to come.

Also removed from the airwaves was insipid afternoon host Joy Ann Reid, whose particular brand of racially charged progressive orthodoxy apparently appealed to few more viewers than did Farrow. If the Daily Beast is to be believed, this will not be the end of the shake. In addition, the Beast’s Lloyd Grove suggests, Al Sharpton “could eventually be moved from his weeknight 6 p.m. gig” and placed in a weekend graveyard slot, and Chris Hayes may be replaced by Rachel Maddow — who, in turn, would be dislodged by new talent. Thus, Politico’s Dylan Byers proposes, does MSNBC hope to “stem its cataclysmic ratings declines and waning relevance.”

At press time, Melissa Harris-Perry’s weekend show was not mentioned. Hopefully, they maintain a voice of the people.

Columbus Short Returns To TV In TV One's 'Fear Files' Movie

Ever since Columbus Short had to bow out from Shonda Rimes’ Scandal  series, he’s been keeping quiet to recover from his reported substance and has even been recording music. According to E! News, The former gladiator is ready to take on the small screen again and has been snagged for TV One’s Fear Files horror movie franchise.

Short will be playing a councilman named Harvey Jordan who wants to build a football stadium in a poverty-stricken neighborhood, but the residents of the community are against it. When the main opposing resident to the stadium dies in a fire, all fingers point to Jordan as residents wonder if he plotted the murder himself. As the plot thickens, Jordan tries to enamor a local reporter, played by Erica Hubbard, in efforts to dodge the negative media attention.

“Buoyed by the positive viewer and social media response to the inaugural airing, we are pleased to be able to deliver another installment of this compelling and entertaining series,” Cathy Hughes, Radio One founder and chairperson, said in a statement. “Delving deeper in to the horror genre helps fulfill TV One’s mission of super-serving the Black audience with a wide variety of programming genres to reflect the diversity of content Black viewers crave.”

Tune in to TV One on Mar. 13th at 8 p.m to watch Fear and the rest of the Fear Files trilogy.
