(AllHipHop News) Video of Shot 97 host Troi “Star” Torain’s attempted interview with Bobby Brown’s nephew Shayne Brown has made its way around the Internet. The phone conversation became news, because Star and Brown got into a very heated exchange over questions about Shayne’s cousin Bobbi Kristina Brown.
According to Shayne, he was scheduled to appear on Star’s show to talk about rumors surrounding turmoil within his family. Brown says it was agreed upon that there would not be any questions concerning Bobbi Kristina’s medical condition.
Star proceeded to ask about Bobbi Kristina anyway, and Shayne refused to address it. Star then told Shayne to “f**k off.”
The veteran radio personality also relayed to Shayne, “And f**k your b***h ass uncle. I never gave a f**k about him.” Shayne reacted by telling Star, “Me and you will cross paths, and when we do, we’ll handle it then… I will see you.”
In an interview with AllHipHop.com, Shayne Brown addresses his over-the-phone confrontation. Brown makes it clear he is not settling the issue until he sees Star in person.
“His first question was about Krissi and life support. I’m like, ‘We already went through this. I’m not going to discuss nothing with you about Krissi’s condition.’ When you did that you disrespected me, because we already discussed what we’re going to talk about,” says Shayne. “After me telling him, ‘I’m not talking about that,’ he went off with the phone gangster rants. I’m not going to be on the phone talking no gangster s**t back-and-forth. That’s corny n***a s**t to me.”
When asked if the matter could be settled without it becoming physical, Shayne reiterated he is not open to talking it out with Star.
“I didn’t come at him talking crazy at all. He popped off, talking crazy to me. But man-to-man, when I see him I will smack the s**t out of him for that. That’s my true feelings,” Shayne added. “There’s no more talking. Once you say ‘f**k my family,’ going off, and making accusations about me and my mother – people that you don’t even know – there’s no more talking. The talking is done.”
Shayne also tells AllHipHop.com his decision not to speak about Bobbi Kistina’s medical condition is out of respect for his uncle Bobby’s wishes.
“I never spoke on Krissi’s condition, just out of respect for my uncle. At this time, he just wants his privacy on that, so I never spoke on her condition. Anything I ever spoke on was concerning myself,” says Shayne.

To enhance the experience of dropping his latest project, the Mass Appeal Records artist released a 16-minute documentary as well. During an interview with AllHipHop.com, Fashawn talked about his The Ecology doc.
“The documentary is simply my life through the lens of my longtime video director/videographer Punit Dhesi,” says Fashawn. “I chose to do it with him, because I don’t have a relationship with too many directors like I do with him. We’re actually from the same block, and he’s literally been there since day one.”
The “Golden State Of Mind” rapper wanted to allow his fans to get a peek behind the curtain into his life. The video shows Fashawn’s journey from the streets of Fresno to sharing his work to a global audience.
“We really just wanted to bring people in closer to my world,” Fashawn explains. “They’ve been seeing me in action, seeing what I do on the microphone. But they don’t know why I do it or the people who helped mold the person they see today.”
In his AllHipHop Q&A, Fashawn also discusses working with Nas and Exile, how he has changed as an artist since his debut album Boy Meets World, and music serving as his medicine. Read the full interview here.

(AllHipHop News) Was Chris Brown prevented from entering Canada? According to the Virginia native, the answer is yes. Brown posted two tweets last night (February 24) stating the Canadian government barred him from entering the country. The singer’s representative confirmed his Montreal and Toronto shows have been canceled.
The AP reports:
Nicole Perna, a spokeswoman for Brown, confirmed Canadian immigration officials denied him entry. Perna said Brown can apply to return at a later date and plans to do so. Live Nation, the promoter, said in a statement that “due to immigration issues” the shows have been canceled and refunds are available at the point of purchase.
Canada Border Services refused to comment on Brown’s situation, but a spokesperson did acknowledge an individual’s criminal past can be a factor in determining if a person is allowed entry into the country.
CB has faced several run ins with the law including assaulting then girlfriend Rihanna and an alleged attack against a man in Washington, DC. Brown’s current tour with Trey Songz was also postponed due to Chris not completing his community service hours.
(AllHipHop News) Kanye West praised Minister Louis Farrakhan while speaking with The Breakfast Club recently. The “Jesus Walks” rapper called the Nation of Islam leader “one of our most powerful messengers.”
During his Saviours’ Day 2015 keynote address in Chicago, Farrakhan discussed having a conversation with Kanye. The Minister later added he met West’s wife Kim Kardashian and daughter North as well.
“The rappers rapped on the condition of the hood. But they’re all becoming conscious now, and White folks are upset,” Farrakhan told the audience at the Christ Universal Temple. “I had a talk with Kanye West. He visited me at our farm, just he. We had a good talk. I know that there’s a better world coming. I know that there’s a world coming that the color of your skin – as Dr. King said – is not going to be the ticket in. It’s your desire to do righteousness.”
Kanye and Farrakhan are also working on a film project together. West announced he was creating a documentary about the Million Man March organizer’s musical history.
“Right now I’m working on a documentary with him, about him, and about his music. He’s a classically trained violinist,” said West during his Breakfast Club interview. “In the same way my wife got stamped with a sex tape, the Minister was stamped with [bigotry], and it’s important that while he’s still alive he sees the people appreciate his message. If you ever hear him talk, it’s about humanity, it’s about one race.”
